1761  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Atomic wallet fake gift on: March 13, 2021, 08:54:54 AM
That gifts really give attention to people who think that the gifts are real and do anything to be part of them. I hope that people out there will not think that is a real gift as there is no fast way to make money unless you hit the jackpot. If people do not care about phishing or scamming websites, they will get scam and lose their money. We really need to stay away from the giveaway or any gifts that look good to be true because that is fake.
Considering how Internet is a mixed bag of different kinds of people, I think that there will be people that are going to fall for it. I know that I seem pessimistic about people not falling for this kind of scam but I am just projecting what reality is, there are absolutely clueless people out there that are finding ways to earn money online and the moment that they saw this ad, the desperation to earn a quick buck is going to set in and they are going to bite the bait. It really depends, the only giveaway I will stay away from is when they are asking for money to enter but if there is no strings attached then I might consider.
1762  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading your strategy on DEMO is a waste of time on: March 13, 2021, 08:18:22 AM
Trading on demo is not a waste of time, perspective matters on this one, if you don't want to release any money out of your own pocket to gain some trading experience, demo trading is a good way to start because it can help you do some risky trades and find out the result without the worry that you are going to lose money, demo trading is good for newbie traders because they gain experience without losing as much as 1 USD. Just because many people lose money trading doesn't mean that you have to do the tradition of losing money, the smart ones learn from the mistakes of others.
1763  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of this attempted $VET Scam on: March 13, 2021, 07:35:34 AM
Put this topic on the Scam Accusations board, you can see the "move topic" on the lower left of this thread and click it and move it there and edit it to follow the scam format. I don't much about how much 1 VET is but if some website tells me that they are going to double it, I am going out of that website as fast as I can, there is no such thing as double your money, and anyone who says so is definitely a scammer or crazy.
1764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade + study = great combination on: March 13, 2021, 07:00:29 AM
I thought you will give an idea or something knowledgeable advice on how to trade just because the title says, "Trade + study = great combination", do you think this is relevant to your post?

I never tried copy trading but I have heard, using this feature sometimes mislead newbies to losing their funds, so I suggest having a full study first and don't rely on copy-paste trading because the movement of the market will not repeat itself for the copy-paste trading.  Trading isn't an easy task of gaining money and there's nothing to hurry if you didn't have yet knowledge and skills on it.
The title did mislead me too, I thought there was something worth reading but then it was just some user shilling something. I don't know how to answer because what exactly is being studied, there is an array of fields that can be studied by anyone so we will leave it at that. Copy trading will work if you checked the portfolio of the person that you are copying and you have the money to sponge the possibility of losses that you are going to get when you copy trade.
1765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 13, 2021, 06:02:45 AM
It's unusual in this day and age for exchanges to just simply pop in to the scene and generously list coins without any fees. Even if an exchange is new, they would have asked for some listing fees no matter how small if they want to profit.

Their first moves already scream scam. Probably even collaborating with some coin creators too. Best to avoid the exchange for the mean time unless they are able to prove their legitimacy.
Newbies are definitely going to fall for this but I think other traders falling for it is highly unlikely because of the reason why would you go for a new exchange when the old one is working just fine, I mean have they heard of the saying, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."? Because that is the case when they are going to switch to a new exchange with some questionable add-ons that as @dothebeats say, scream scam.
1766  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good plan for learning tradning ? on: March 13, 2021, 05:17:35 AM
Well yeah it is a good plan that you are making yourself knowledgeable about trading, it is a good stepping stone if you don't want to be stuck in a 9-5 job which slowly kills you. Be careful about making trading as your career as you have to be really good at it to make some money so you can sustain your daily needs, try to get some experience at the same time that you are learning about the theoretical parts of trading, you can get the feel little by little with that.
1767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: High Frequency Trading on: March 13, 2021, 04:39:47 AM
I have heard of this kind of thing back then but it was about the guy who put an algorithm that screws with the algorithm of the HFT, he was from the UK if I recall and what he did made the people from this HFT firms panicked because they are slowly losing their money, I forgot how the guy did it but the speed at which the stock prices gone down is definitely noticeable, I don't know the exact duration of the attack but it never reached an hour and I think billions of dollars were lost in that span of time.
1768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 12, 2021, 10:26:31 AM
all end up being the same, that the main referral will and will end up on CoinMarketCap. So you don't really need a lot of resources if you can really understand all the features on CoinMarketCap. not that many sources are not good, but we just need to understand the essence of each source and apply it directly into trading practice.
There aren't that many good source of information for trading for starters so I guess CMC is the most reliable of them all. I don't trade but I get my news at Cointelegraph and Coindesk although just some quick skims through the article and find the most important parts and I am done.
1769  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bingswap.finance fake team and partnership Beware! on: March 12, 2021, 09:41:20 AM
I wonder if those people that are posted on their list of management team are actually aware that there is a group of people stealing their identity for the sake of extorting others people's money.
If they are aware, they might have pursued some sort of action against the identity thieves but given how some projects that use their profiles are obscure and not that famous, I can be sure that the people doesn't know about it, its not like every person that got their identity stolen will wade through the vast Internet to check if they had been used.
1770  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: -=-=- Elon Musk Giveaway email scam -=-=- on: March 12, 2021, 08:58:48 AM
Most of these are from airdrops, they create a token to distribute in exchange for your emails you get their token, they get your email, they sold your emails and your data and you have tokens that will never have value because they were not created to be in exchange but for your email and you will only know that after a few months, and you are still hoping it will have values in the future.
That is why my friends told me that modern airdrops are a scam, never thought that data mining in this day and age has been this big. This is crazy because they might be the reason for your spams when you are unaware of where you use your emails, the best thing to do is to check your emails vulnerability, there was a site that I used back then but I forgot the name. Another way to combat this is to have a throw away email that you will use for the purpose of this kind of things.

What makes you think that it has a large attendance?

I think, that there are still no simpletons who believe in such a "miracle".
That seems to be a conflict in story. But in the end, hopefully this website gets reported and that hopefully there wasn't really any heavy traffic in the first place because that means that the scammers has stolen quite an amount already. There will be people that are going to believe this kind of scam, the scammers just needs to be convincing and be good with their words.
1772  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] BITKINGZ - Ponzi Scheme on: March 12, 2021, 07:37:58 AM
I don't think this platform will survive long.
I hope forum users will not fall on this too-good-to-be true ROI.
We have had enough of this ponzi scheme and usually they end up bad.
They even managed to publish a thread here in the forum.
Forum users won't fall for this but ordinary people are going to fall for it definitely, I am predicting that there will be an increase of new accounts created just to report in this forum that they got scammed and will ask how can they get their money back and then they got scammed by users that tricks them into saying that they can recover the stolen amount and then they will report that they got scammed and the cycle goes on.
1773  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Linetrick.club - Ponzi scheme on: March 12, 2021, 07:03:26 AM
~
This is really a classic example of a ponzi scheme, where payments to the first participants are made from the money of those who joined later. And when new participants stop registering and investing their money, this scheme collapses, as there is no money to pay out.
That is how some of this schemes are being unfolded, they ran out of clients to put through the scheme and the money starts running dry so they have to do some sort of act to look like everything is under control so people wouldn't notice that they are doing an exit strategy. To everyone who still thinks that this is legitimate, go ahead and try it and see your money go away in a couple of months and live in regret and hindsight.
1774  Economy / Reputation / Re: I do not trust br0ken account on: March 12, 2021, 06:29:02 AM
I think there needs to be some report made against this user or at the least a warning post to help newbies not get scammed because this kind of scam services has been here for a long time and I think that it needs to stop. To all the newbies who are going to read this, recovery services will only work if it is in your computer and you wiped it clean, there is no such thing as recovery of hacked accounts in bitcoin.
1775  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov plagiarizer and now trust abuser on: March 12, 2021, 05:53:30 AM
ScumBuster

Please provide examples of plagiarized content Ratimov made.

This content you wrote from the local board I cannot analyze,  i dont trust translations.
Having proofs for a local poster is really difficult as you don't have the necessary correct translation and machine translation misleads readers. I am neutral in this case as I don't know @Ratimov personally and most of the things that I know of him/her is from what I see in the posts that involves him/her. My take on this thing is for the people that accuses @Ratimov of plagiarism to provide proof as @bitmover says but we also need to have an indie translator so that there is no possibility of being bought of or being biased which solves @bitmover's problem about not trusting translations.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: March 12, 2021, 05:16:27 AM
I don't get the hype. I don't understand why would anybody pay to take the ownership of a digital asset at all. No need to say I don't think that it is going to affect gambling industry in any way. This is just another toy for the super rich people so they can show off imo.
You can use them maybe as a token for your bets or plays in the casino like chips in poker, blackjack and coins in slots. No matter how much we think that NFT is not going to bring any change, it will just prove us wrong just like bitcoin prove itself against FUDsters and people who lack the faith to invest in it.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Venetian Casino for Sale on: March 11, 2021, 12:42:14 PM
~
Yes, this is the ultimate reason why it is being sold now, the maintenance cost and there is no money coming in because of the covid-19. Although I've seen some casino's already open but not in full capacity. It's interesting to note that they are looking at Asia as the prime hub for gambling now.

Perhaps majority of the whales today are from Asia, specially Chinese magnate and billionaires.
It is their fault too, these big businesses didn't put any money for situations like this, they put it all to expand and pay their investors so in the end their business will die. I think they could've survived the pandemic if they did what the sports league did to continue their matches which is creating a bubble, this could've attracted a lot of big money players because this means that they get to stay at the casino for a long time, or at the least tried to operate online with some of their games. Chinese businessmen are the best businessmen in my opinion.
1778  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/USD Price Analysis - $72,000 will be the first target on: March 11, 2021, 12:05:11 PM
I saw the price reaching $57k, but it was short lived though. It was just the first attempt, and I will assume that there will be another one by the bulls within a week and see if we can break $58,300.

The $52k resistance was broken on the second attempt, and then after that the price goes up. It could make the same pattern again, so $70k is not that far. We are still in mid-March, let's see and hope that the bullish pattern will still build and continue.
I want to believe that it will happen the second time because the 52k was broken then that means that we can break another resistance and after that we will speculate what prices the bitcoin will break next, a lot of things can happen in March and the following months so we have to be careful with our every move when it comes to bitcoin market, we might regret it along the way.
1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think CBDC's will be interchangable with cryptocurrencies? on: March 11, 2021, 11:29:41 AM
Being the new technological advancement of central bank money I think the only reason for their creation is to stir away from crypto. CDBCs will be super controlled and monitored and I don't thing central banks will allow people and companies to trade them for cryptocurrencies.
That is my first thought too, the only reason for their creation is to distract people and continue patronizing the banks. But if there is no ill intentions behind the creation of CBDCs by these banks, I think that interchangeability with cryptocurrency is a possibility with CBDC since it is in a sense still a fiat.
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "What happens if bitcoin succeeds?" on: March 11, 2021, 10:34:31 AM
It can bring more of a divide between the wealthy and the rich. But some people weren't that wealthy, but since Bitcoin came, the people believed in it and had shown that it is the technology to become part of that 1%. I doubt there would be justice with this divide, but there's just nothing we can do about it. We cannot control the currency and distribute it equally within every one of us.
Most people that discovered bitcoin are not that dirt poor, they have the technology to access bitcoin accessible to them so I think that the divide didn't really narrowed just because of bitcoin because the people that got their hands on bitcoin has the opportunity unlike the real poor that doesn't even have electricity. We can do something about, trying to help other people even with a little money that you can afford is enough if that little amount is put together, we are just afraid that what little money that we have will be gone in our hands.
I still believe that Bitcoin has succeeded already. It's being considered as a hedge for USD, so why is it not successful? They even got to one of the wealthiest people in the world, and if that's not considered successful, then what is? How can you consider Bitcoin as successful?
Success is a matter of perspective, what you said here can be called a success but for some fundamentalist that thinks that bitcoin should be the currency used by the people instead of fiat, I don't think so.
Society has always been divided, but it won't make things worse—just new adaptation or application for financing, etc.
The reason for that divide is because the people let the cunning ones abuse them, if that wasn't the case in the first place, we might be living in a utopia.
