1661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use of cryptocurrency as an investment and exchange currency for FIAT. on: March 26, 2021, 06:37:10 AM
Good statement, if the friends need more information concerning the usefulness of Bitcoin let he or her go further research,  besides Google is there to break every information down to everybody, leaning things about cryptocurrency is so easily now, weather through manual learning or internet learning, no more time to be giving a random answers from different angles, it's better you direct him or personally research of the importants of Bitcoin and send the link to the person that needed to know much usefulness of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin.
Not to mention that it will be convenient for you that they are doing their own research about bitcoin and other bitcoin related stuff because you might be wasting your time explaining to them and then they are just like I don't want to do it but in the case of DYOR they are responsible for the discovery so they will not blame anyone when they do something stupid or they don't want to get in on it.
1662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can play tricks on your mind on: March 25, 2021, 09:53:59 AM
~
This only happens when you put all your money into BTC just like what I have seen in some social media where a man sold his house to buy bitcoin. This is not a good idea since its volatility can be brutal sometimes when your money has been put all into one basket no matter how you think of it. That's why they kept telling those people who have been asking how to invest in bitcoin, that the first thing they need to consider investing only what they can afford to lose. Because in that way, they think about it less than they think when they put all their money at once.
You got a point but there are other people that doesn't really risk anything but can't stop thinking like this, I know some people and from my experience the common denominator is that most of those that are anxious are newbies or greedy. It can't be brutal if you know your risk tolerance and weigh the risks that are going to be involved and the opportunity cost, that dude who sold his house is a stupid one because he didn't weigh the risks and the opportunity costs.
1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2021, 09:13:57 AM
Bitcoin might be 100k by the time this goes live...or worth much less  Grin. I think I'd purchase one if they roll this out in the UK. I want a cyber truck so I'm hoping they scale them down a little and release them in the UK as they'd be too big for UK roads right now. Buying a cyber truck with bitcoin would definitely seem like the future  Cheesy.
The logistics is going to be expensive especially with Tesla since it is an American company so imports is going to be expensive, if the logistics weren't a problem and I have the bitcoin to buy one then I might go for it but the reality of the situation is stronger, I don't have enough bitcoin and imported cars are far more expensive compared to local brands that are already established, not to mention that a Tesla in my crime ridden country is going to be a target for many car thieves so I guess I won't be buying a Tesla car with bitcoin.
1664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: March 25, 2021, 08:26:39 AM
For the most part, it'll improve but occasionally, we'll witness some sort of setbacks as well and that's mainly due to the fact that almost all of the governments, prefer having control over literally everything and that's something that they can't fully achieve with BTCitcoin in the scene.
Setbacks are part of the progress, in the case of bitcoin I think it has already proven that it will have a good future if it hasn't already arrived yet when it recovered from the 2017 price crash. I think that the government is just fighting a losing battle because they will benefit more if they were to accept it and coexist with bitcoin which is what most businesses are doing right now because they see the potential of coexisting instead of fighting it.
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meeting about Bitcoin and inviting people to it on: March 25, 2021, 07:36:18 AM
I'm also thinking myself on how to introduce Bitcoin to different people but looks like that until now, I don't where to start it.
I'm always happy that there are people who are introducing Bitcoin to other people especially those young people.

Its quite surprising until now for me that our professors didn't taught anything about money to me. They are my professors but they don't know anything about financial literacy. In the current era right now where most of the things are digital and online, we should teach Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general in the young people even it the basics only at least they have a starting point and then they will do the rest by researching if they really are interested to learn it.
Just tell them the basics about bitcoin and tell them that they have to discover all the other things themselves, it saves you time to explain all the niche parts of bitcoin and it helps them get their brains working and think for themselves, imagine if you spoon fed all the needed info to them then they will be so dependent on you that you will find it annoying. The reason that some teachers do not teach a thing or two about financial literacy is either it is not their forte or the curriculum doesn't include it which is a bad thing because if students get out of the schools without financial knowledge, they are going to be left behind.
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invested in alt in 2017 ..and now need help to dont do same mistake on: March 25, 2021, 06:58:08 AM
I’d probably suggest but buy altcoins that are around at the top 10-15 in the coinmarketcap so you’ll have an idea which coins you want to invest in; that is if you don’t want to just invest in Bitcoin. But if I had that money, I’s probably invest most in Bitcoin then probably 25-30% on alternate coins, but that’s just me though. It is entirely up to you still whichever you want to do with your investment.
You could just put all in bitcoin because by charts, bitcoin is proven to grow overtime compared to other altcoins that are volatile and the growth that they present are sometimes not that high compared to bitcoin. It is not bad to diversify but I think that growing your money on one coin is much better for the long term and along the way when you get you are profiting big out of it then that will be the time that you are going to diversify.
1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Gold is government assest,Bitcoin is all yours." A Comparison between them. on: March 25, 2021, 06:07:59 AM
gold on its own is not centralized though. it is a metal that you can hold on your own and trade p2p in a very decentralized way. the problem is that it is not easy to do because you can't for example carry 50kg gold with yourself in your pocket to sell so people end up choosing the centralized way of doing it which is through IOUs instead using the centralized places.
In a way, the reason that golds are centralized is because of the convenience that centralization provides which is good in my opinion considering it is physical item which means that someone can physically intercept and steal the gold unlike bitcoin where the only reason for losing it is when the person that owns it is a stupid one. The control of government over your gold is a good thing because it means that it is insured and you will not lose your money when something from their side is wrong.
1668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people care who Satoshi is/was? on: March 25, 2021, 05:31:13 AM
You answered it already in your OP which is curiosity, this is a normal human instinct when something they don't know or unfamiliar appears in front of them, they want to know what it is or become familiar with it, in this case, the identity of satoshi which is still a mystery, people want to know who is the person behind it because they want to know everything there is to know about bitcoin so they will go lengths to find the identity of satoshi. My advice to those people, stop doing it and always remember to not meet your heroes.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can play tricks on your mind on: March 25, 2021, 04:38:53 AM
Bitcoin isn't playing tricks on your mind, it is you that is playing those tricks on your own mind. That is what you call anxiety or paranoia at worst, the only way to solve that is to take a deep breath and not think about anything related to what you are doing, try not to make up scenarios in your mind about this kind of thing. In my opinion, in this kind of situation you are your own worst enemy. Bitcoin is not a sentient object or such, you are which means that those thoughts are just you blaming bitcoin, and you wouldn't really be anxious about it when you know more about bitcoin and you trust that it will grow in long term.
1670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 25, 2021, 03:55:30 AM
Well, today the real Elon Musk fooled the bankers pretty well as he announced not only that Tesla will accept bitcoin as a payment but also that Tesla will hoard them without selling BTC for fiat. If this works it can be a huge fuck you to the banking system, completely bypassed here.
That is one way of putting it, my take on this announcement is that Tesla is going or is planning to if not yet going to become an active participant in the bitcoin market which is a good thing because if they are going to do it then they will be able to move the markets and can counter the dumps of other whales if possible. I am glad that Tesla is making this move because this is an exemplary move for other car companies to follow suit which will help the bitcoin adoption get faster.
1671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's 21 million limit on: March 25, 2021, 03:10:26 AM
Will satoshi lie to the users that bitcoin has a 21 million limit? I don't think so because that was what satoshi wanted. And those bitcoins that you say is going to be generated outside the 21 million is bitcoin fork which only has a value because you have a lot of followers that believes that it has a value. If you think that changing bitcoin is as easy having a consensus then it should have changed a long time ago, not to mention that it will be difficult for every user to agree on something because we form our own opinions and some of them will disagree.
1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the actual point of the many working parts of Bitcoin/blockchains? on: March 24, 2021, 11:09:52 AM
The working parts that you are talking about is a helpful deterrent for people who will try to attack bitcoin but doesn't have the intimate knowledge about the inner workings which will get them confused because they do not know where this thing goes and that other thing goes, that is just my wacky theory but most of the time these complex system in other industries are used in that fashion. To me, the actual point why there is a lot of moving parts in bitcoin is because it is difficult to condense everything into a simpler and smaller system which is susceptible to attacks and if they were to make the system more simpler then they will reduce the problems that they will cover.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time Magazine: Will start to accept crypto for subscription on: March 24, 2021, 10:31:14 AM
There is a lot of this kind of news lately, and it is very good news. We are gradually moving towards mass adoption, it's not just that institutions are buying Bitcoin, it's also that more and more are accepting it as a means of payment. It is one more step towards normalization.
Which is a good news because this means that the adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is going to go faster than what it was in the past year. I think that a lot of subscription based website and online services should follow what Time Magazine is doing because as OP said, it helps them to stay relevant at the current cyber landscape.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $50k: Looking back at the price perspective on: March 24, 2021, 09:52:08 AM
This is lie changing. Emerging someone just invested 1USD back then and manage to hold it up to this time, that will be a financial turn-around. Digital currency is the future as it will alleviate poverty in many nations.
That is close to impossible because there are a lot of peaks along the way and knowing how human nature works, I think that that person who owns that amount of bitcoin could have already sold it at around the 10 USD, 100 USD because that much back then was already a lot of profit compared to the initial capital of 1 USD.
1675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Adoption be possible? on: March 24, 2021, 09:12:05 AM
When Tesla is accepting BTC, Jerome Powell declares BTC harder asset than gold.

The 'adoption' question is now officially no longer moot.  Roll Eyes
I think that it is earlier than that because there were bitcoin ATMs around the world before the Tesla selling their cars in bitcoin, Laszlo has bought a pizza in 2010 and I think those are an example of a bitcoin adoption. The moment that bitcoin was used to buy products, services and trade, was I think that the question about bitcoin adoption became moot.
1676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accepts Bitcoin on: March 24, 2021, 08:24:31 AM
It's a normal direction. Let's see:
+ Publicity for Tesla
+ Publicity for Bitcoin
+ Tesla gets Bitcoin at "buy" price instead of the "sell" price and also "get rid" of the cars
- Bitcoin price will rise and maybe they would have liked to buy some more first

All in all, I may afford at some point to pay 0.1BTC for a Tesla car. I know, I'll have to wait a little more for the price to rise.
That is the dream, a 0.1 btc for a Tesla car, but that will take a long time because AFAIK the price of a Tesla car is a bit expensive and if I estimate around 5 digit prices which means that bitcoin price has to be around 6 or 7 digit in USD before we can guarantee a 0.1 btc Tesla. To everyone who is planning to buy, this might be a sign for you to buy bitcoin now that the prices are not at the 60k USD price point.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: March 24, 2021, 07:38:51 AM

Those Influencers That does not accept Sponsorships are those who has not Yet popular , they are still in the process that of gathering support and maybe in the future will have their Own sponsorship like what others has now.

trust me majority of them are stupid that did not accept reality that they are into Money.
It is a paradox that you will not accept a sponsorship if you are not famous don't you think? Influencers that aren't famous will take every sponsorship that will come their way because it meant that they are being recognized. What report are you talking about? The Report of the Week was the name of the Youtube channel and the host is called Reviewbrah. How do you know that majority of them are stupid that did not accept the reality that they are into money though?
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: March 24, 2021, 07:01:46 AM

Most of those influencers are aiming for money, if opportunities knocks on them then for sure they'll grab it and take advantage.

Bringing the name of the business creates influence, as simple as that streamers already done with the task.
That is what exactly I am saying, I mean respect the grind because in the end in this unforgiving world, we all have to make money somehow. There are instances though that an influencer/Youtuber doesn't accept any sponsorship, one that I can think of is The Report of the Week's ReviewBrah, where he talked about fast foods sponsoring him but he didn't accept it because it will be unfair for his audience that they are lied by his fast food reviews.
1679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: March 24, 2021, 06:28:32 AM
It's a marketing strategy, streamers are one of the best ways to promote games, casinos, etc. Since they have a lot of supporters and they can be a good influence on their viewers. However, I think they should be responsible for accepting such offers and never promoting bogus websites or platforms.
That really depends, streamers are not that rich so anytime a sponsor is going for them I think that they don't have any choice but to accept it because they too need the money, not to mention that most of the sponsors don't ask for too much to do to the streamer, just have their name in the screen or demonstrate some plays and that is about it. Responsibility will really be dependent on the streamer because it is a matter of personal principle.
1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 24, 2021, 05:52:02 AM

Completely agree. And as I wrote before, by not watching the movies you are robbing yourself the insight into other categories. People tend to focus on the best movie overall and the best actors but tend to neglect things like songs, scores, script, or visual effects that are also categories that are not there as a filler but as a true art form that should be examined outside of it just being a part of the film itself.
You don't have to do all that to make some bets, just watch the films and if you think that it is good then go bet on it, you are not a critic and you don't have a say as to who is going to win the awards so I don't think that you have to completely immerse yourself in analysis of the story because if you do so then you won't enjoy the movie.
