1801  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: March 09, 2021, 07:30:55 AM
Doesn't need to have a collapse for bitcoin to prove its worth, it already did a long time ago. I can't get myself on the side of wishing for an Economic collapse just to prove a point that bitcoin will be able to become a hedge, maybe this printing will be causing a collapse but I don't think that the US Government is going to let that happen because they are the most sought after currency in other countries.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal buys Cryptofirm Curv on a quest to avoid holding private keys on: March 09, 2021, 06:46:26 AM
Nice one, more people will see my private keys and they will store it somewhere "safe", the customers of this firms are going to be experiencing a Mt. Gox like incident and they don't know it yet but it will definitely happen. I don't get the point of not safekeeping your own private key, I mean what part of the word "private" do they not understand?
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 09, 2021, 06:05:58 AM
I absolutely do not support such restrictive measures against cryptocurrencies, but I perfectly understand the logic of such actions. It turns out that the Nigerian government sensibly assesses the possibilities of its national fiat currency and therefore are not going to arrange any competition between fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. Let's be frank that the banking sector is not quite adapted for this and for many authorities there is a temptation to go the simplest way of prohibitions, rather than to find ways of interaction. Therefore, I am sure that these are all temporary phenomena and in the future, cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies will calmly get along in the same Nigeria.
That is what government does best after all, prohibit what makes their people happy and content. If they aren't quite adapted as you have said then shouldn't they take the initiative to do so because this is a new technology and with Nigeria in the second place for crypto traffic, I don't think that a reason like that is going to fly. Hopefully, you are right that this is a temporary stint in the cryptocurrency history in Nigeria because I feel bad that their government is going to get their people left out.
1804  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks around the world want to get into digital currencies on: March 09, 2021, 05:21:49 AM
AFAIK, this CBDC from China was done a long time ago and it failed miserably, I might be remembering something different. CBDC in my opinion, if it was introduced in a good way into the public, I think that it can have a potential to be adopted but seeing that some of them are being forced in the throat of the consumers, I don't think that it won't last long before the magic that they put under their CBDC will be lost in the process. If China wants to make it successful, a sudden jump to big cities for experiment is not the best option, maybe trying it in smaller cities or provinces like how they are practicing with a Surveillance state in the provinces that is full of Uyghurs.
1805  Economy / Economics / Re: Why not "COVID" vaccine passports on a blockchain ID on: March 09, 2021, 04:42:11 AM
I believe that it is a waste of function of blockchain, vaccine passports doesn't need to be that complex, a simple database and simple anti-tampering stickers is enough to do the job. I know that it looks good that it can be part of blockchain but in the long run, I don't think that it is worth it.
1806  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin millionaire lists reasons most will never be rich on: March 09, 2021, 03:58:07 AM
Some good answers on the thread but for the most part people are never going to be rich for the simple reason they confuse needs with wants, they spend so much money that many are spending even more money than what they earn, if people do this for a long time and they spend their money in stuff that does not produce any income and instead consumes their income then they have no chance to become rich.
Tell that to the people that only has the money for needs, they wanted to get out of spiral called poverty but we all know and studies show that when people are on and below the poverty line, they have a higher chance of not going to get above it because everything is more expensive when your poor, you can't afford to go to dentist so your dental health deteriorates to the point that you are going to go to the hospital when there is an utmost emergency. Some people here haven't experienced what it really is to be a dirt poor based on what most of the replies.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: March 08, 2021, 10:22:13 AM
Unfortunately "our" Stake ambassador lost his first fight of this partnership, I don't really understand why Stake chose this guy actually, a lady like Amanda Nunes would have been a more original, modern (and smarter) choice IMHO.
Izzy Adesanya is a rising star so maybe Stake thinks that it is good that they are going to incorporate their name with him on his rise to the scene, I believe that Stake is taking the slowly-but-surely approach. Your choice could be good but I think that there is a deeper reason for Stake to choose Izzy, maybe they Stake will see your post and they might consider Amanda for another sponsorship.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 08, 2021, 09:34:46 AM
Sportsbet.io is a good gambling website for your ESports need. They have a really good track record in this forum and they have an easy to navigate website so you don't get lost when you are looking for a specific sport or in this case and ESports. There are others that are recommended, take a look at the others too as Sportsbet.io might not be up to your preferences.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone placed esports bets? on: March 08, 2021, 08:46:58 AM

Yeah, the community for those games are not yet popular. But once they've become more popular, sportsbooks will have them enlist because there's a large community that supports them. I think that's about the consistency of such communities. Unlike the other popular games, they have it on their books because of their community and those games are very much popular. Maybe someday they'll have it on their list.
I hope that it will happen because I am growing fond of fighting games despite being an avid FPS player my whole life. Maybe someday, Streetfighter or Mortal Kombat will have their big break and get their chance to become a part of eSports betting.
1810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptuoso the best free Cryptocurrency Trading Robots on: March 08, 2021, 08:10:52 AM
As you can see, we just don't have such aggressive and toxic marketing as Gunbot Smiley We don't need it cause we trade ourselves and share this opportunity with other people. Gunbot is just earning on commissions from it's users...That's enough to understand who is who.. If you want to know more about our product - join us in telegram group.
No need to do ad hominem attacks, that is not how you win your potential users and win a debate, the users who replied were right, you are inactive in this forum, especially this thread which is really bad if you are just a start up trading bot.
1811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: whale tactics? on: March 08, 2021, 07:30:17 AM
yes its a tactic but you would want to have a good understanding of the markets
and be able to read the various charts and signals otherwise you could end up
buying back at a higher price than you sold at
That is not a problem for whales as they can offset the losses by leverage trading depending whether they have a loss or a profit. Not to mention that most whales have their own team of TA that helps them decide the trades that they are going to do.
1812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin price is so volatile? What are the major factors that drive it? on: March 08, 2021, 06:54:41 AM
~
What's different about bitcoin is that it's a completely new asset class. So, new to the market. But since the beginning of bitcoin, you could make a direct investment in the original bitcoin, the bitcoin digital currency. Of course, there is a lot of controversy. Some people say that these are two different types of bitcoin.
Is it still a "completely new asset class" when there are a lot of copycats called altcoins out there and twelve years has already passed? I am curious, what is this two type of bitcoin that you are talking about? And can you elaborate them with some brevity.
1813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Data suggesting more than 95% traders are losing on: March 08, 2021, 06:07:35 AM
The data shows how important for a trader to stay longer. In short, preserving capital will result of staying on the run longer.
The chart is extremely true, that's why some successful traders keep saying how important risk management is and preserving the capital.
The game is likely how you will survive in the long term.
As if a lot of trader have the funds for their trading upkeep costs. If the trader is losing because of his/her decisions then there is no saving grace such as going long or short. Also, most traders are greenhorns who just wants to get into trading because a friend of their friend introduced them to trading and they think that they can do it themselves and most of the time, the people who genuinely wants to learn about trading and such are a fraction of those 95%.
1814  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Linetrick.club - Ponzi scheme on: March 08, 2021, 05:21:03 AM
Let's say invested 1, 2, 3 ... one dollar each.  Total $ 3.  They are given to participant 1. We are waiting for payments 4,5,6, in order to give the participant 2 - 3 $, then we wait for payments 7,8,9 to give money to the participant number 3, then 10,11,12 to give the participant number 4  and so on in order ad infinitum.
You just explained how Ponzi scheme works. If it was your business model, then you are definitely doing a Ponzi scheme, no matter how you twist the model, it will always be the same. If any newbies were to fall for this scam, I don't know what to say but you deserved it because no one on their right mind is going to give you tenfold of the amount when you invested in them in such a short amount of time, the biggest return percentage that I can think of and that is legitimate is around 5% to 6%.
1815  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Coinbase  Giveaway Event FAKE on: March 08, 2021, 03:56:14 AM
Good catch @op!
I found another fake giveaway but from Binance this time:
scam: https://claimeth[dot]io

This user just woke up from a long period of inactivity and started posting the above link on different boards.

I believe both websites are owned by the same person as they clearly follow the same pattern.
Well as a scammer, you have to cast your net a little bigger to catch more dumb and desperate fishes, I am pretty sure that this is not just the only website that this user is managing. The Coinbase giveaway was definitely a scam from a mile away, and they even have the audacity to have a big minimum amount to deposit, I have to bet that the generated address will be the same for many users.
1816  Economy / Reputation / Re: Echa123 Take my portfolio on: March 07, 2021, 09:58:18 AM
We have bigger problem on here.
You have a ban evasion right now, so this account and your future account will be permanently banned
Wouldn't it be better if both problems are solved and not choose which one to solve? I know that OP did ban evade but it is a valuable information that he/she told us about someone faking their credibility to join a campaign, isn't that something bad too?
1817  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Alert on: March 07, 2021, 09:23:47 AM
Ah, a ponzi website, I don't know how they become talented thieves though, but anyone who check and visited the website will know that the site is illegitimate, the images are all stock and using fake names of the team. So, stay away.
The first thing that caught my eye was the payment scheme, paying 100 USD and get 500 USD in a week is a BS in almost any legitimate standards unless that person who asks you that money knows you and you know that they can really make it multiply which is a unlikely thing to happen. OP is clearly a newbie so he/she has fallen for it so easily, this hopefully serves as a lesson for OP to never fall for the same trap again.
1818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without experience and knowledge on: March 07, 2021, 08:34:42 AM
Trading without experience is a bit of a conundrum because how can you get an experience when you don't trade so I would say that trading without knowledge is a bad thing because you might encounter preventable situations if you have a knowledge of it but that can easily be solved as you can just read books and advices about trading.
1819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking a loan to buy Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2021, 08:02:08 AM
For the people who taking loan to buy bitcoin in the last few years are earned more profit if the loan they got is the purposes is to hold bitcoin. But now it is risky to invest to the bitcoin if the money they use from the loan because what if you invest and the price of the bitcoin dump and you need to pay the loan that you use in buying how you will pay it and for sure it has interest that will gives you more stress.
You're right, taking loans now that the prices are doubled than what everyone speculated before everything is far too risky to do it, unless you have the money to survive because there is a possibility that you won't get a profit for awhile, maybe as @Question123 said, if you could have taken a loan back when the prices were not pushing around 5 digits in US dollars, maybe you could've get a decent or enormous profit. Worth mentioning that loans are expensive as they incur interests which will eat away your profits anyway if you were to be late for the payment.
1820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signal work or not? on: March 07, 2021, 07:15:35 AM
If their signals made you some profits then you are in the right group but in my opinion, this is just a pump and dump group that will make a fool of anyone who joins their group, also worth mentioning that these groups are pay to join which is fishy at best.
