3281  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: December 09, 2020, 06:48:46 AM

Demand of online casino has nothing to do with casino withdrawal fees and if you do look in all of them then this do always depend of vary with the network condition
and has nothing to do with it.

In most casino, the fee is fixed in terms of satoshis and therefore if you calculate it with the usd, you will think the fee is increased because the rate of bitcoin is almost doubled from 10,000 to 19000$ within 2 months. In satoshi value, the fee is still the same.

It isn't the price of fees that is increasing but rather the price of Bitcoin which is actually normal. I think the best strategy is just to use altcoins instead of Bitcoin since the price of Bitcoin right now is still high. They're not increasing the rate but it's the value of Bitcoin that is getting highs so we shouldn't blame the gambling sites instead.
3282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 09, 2020, 06:25:48 AM
good to know, but it would be better if you could share the most recent study conducted about it. both the study you posted was released in a different year. one is in 2017 and the other is in 2016.

I wonder how Macau is not a part of any of these two lists!! Macau is a country whose economy is based on gambling businesses where 40% of their GDP is delivered by gambling! But these are really land based casinos which means the numbers here show the tip of the iceberg. Due to the social taboos around the world, a lot of people don't really visit the land based casino and these group of people actually enjoys the online casinos from the comfort of their home! And it is really difficult to capture that number correctly!
isn't Macau still part of China? as far as I know even though Macau have its own economy, government, etc.. they were still considered as part of China. correct me if I'm wrong.

Macau is actually an administrative region of China. It has its own government and economic system so I believe that Macau is already part of the list under the Country of China. Macau is known to be the best place to gamble in China and that's the reason why it has the highest rate of gamblers on the first chart despite the illegality of gambling in some parts of their country.
3283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Casinos to Avoid on: December 08, 2020, 05:11:35 PM
I'm sure there's still a lot to add in that list OP if the basis is only he scam accusation threads in the forum. I think plenty of casinos here have scam accusation and yet there are still plenty of people trusting their website. Anyway, good job, at least they'll know when the thread will add more.

I was actually too experimental before that I always try playing in different gambling sites. However, I haven't tried any of these sites because I have been reading bad things and lots of accusations about them. It's really important that we'll do our own research before choosing a gambling site. Thanks for sharing this list, Op. At least we'll know what to avoid. There are still lots of active sites with negative accusations so we better be observant and skeptical about selecting a platform. I hope you could add more to the list to warn more users.
3284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 03:28:07 PM
According to the recent reports Japan after realizing how the taxation on IR's can fail to attract foreign players removed the taxation on the gambling winnings in IRs. Now people can enjoy a more gambling friendly environment **particularly the foreigners**.
The government is working towards building the policies according to the international standards.
- full reforms will be announced on 10 December
- the citizens will still be taxed if their winnings exceed a certain amount

I do believe that this is a very positive thing, it will attract more people for sure and can even aid in post covid recovery.

https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/10577/japans-irs-wont-tax-winnings-of-foreign-visitors

Share your thoughts?? Would things like this benefit other countries too?

The government won't allow it if it isn't beneficial to them. It could be another way for them to attract tourist and have another source of taxes. They will surely tax it but that won't affect the gamblers that much because gamblers will always find ways no matter how huge the tax is.
In fact, even at times when gambling is prohibited in their country, there are already gamblers who find ways just to gamble. They do it online or they even travel just to play so I think it will be a win-win situation for them.
3286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone who have worked or currently working in casino? on: December 06, 2020, 05:53:11 PM
Even what advice a gambler gets, even if it's from a casino staff, it doesn't matter. We gamble for a different reason and each of us has htheir own characteristics, weaknessess and habits when gambling. If you cannot handle gambling, it's best to stay away from it before it gets out of hand. Gambling might be fun and entertaining, but it can ruin your life in just a snap without you noticing it.
3287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: December 06, 2020, 05:15:35 PM
I believe that most of us are losing money in sports betting, but I'd like to know based on what you read and your experience (if you have) the reasons why we are losing. Personally, I've been gambling for years, I'm just an ordinary gambler who can't be too serious about gambling, but I can't deny that I have been losing money more than I win.

Share some tips to win or to minimize losing?
______

This thread is open for the winners and losers.

As for me, it's because of a lack of discipline and self-control. Sometimes we're carried by too much hype on our bet. Knowing our limits as we enter gambling would be a big help. As gambling professionals always advise, we should only bet what we could afford to lose because winning in gambling is mostly by luck. If ever you'll win a good prize you better keep it or save it because greediness sometimes could make us lose everything.
3288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: has bitcoin achieved its goal? on: December 06, 2020, 04:12:14 PM
Looking at the developments and improvements of Bitcoin through the years, I could say that it has reached and achieved lots of achievements and goals. It still has a lot to achieve in the future like more adoptions. However, it's now being accepted by lots of merchants and huge businesses so I do not doubt that more surprising developments will happen in the future. Bitcoin couldn't please everyone but as more people get to know its capability, it's building a stronger foundation because of people's trust.
3289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 06, 2020, 02:19:36 PM
It's a good thing that there are also bounty managers who are concerned about our details and they're responsibly hiding it. It's really annoying to receive emails from scammers especially when we're also using our personal email accounts for our jobs and businesses. Since we can't control it, the best thing that we can do is to report those emails and block them.
3290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: December 05, 2020, 06:58:00 PM
It has been a question of lots of users here in the forum for years but Bitcoin's foundation is still firm to hold the title of the Father of all cryptocurrencies. As for me, no coin could ever replace Bitcoin because it has gained the trust of most investors already. It has maintained its good reputation and has passed all the tests of time. Most altcoins are also dependant on it so it will be hard for any coin to reach all the achievements that Bitcoin has achieved.
3291  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino dito ang naka experience ng last bull run (2017) on: December 05, 2020, 03:36:39 PM
3292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 05, 2020, 12:24:07 PM
I'm holding some of the coins that you have listed but it's a good thing that I have sold most of it while it still has a value. Some altcoins aren't worth holding because they usually lose their value in the long run. I think the best thing that we can do is to sell some of it and just convert it with high potential coins which are really worth holding just like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
3293  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin retirement account on: December 04, 2020, 05:36:15 PM
Having Bitcoin as a retirement investment should be a personal choice because we all know the risks of its volatility. However, it's still an advantage especially for those who know how to handle and access cryptocurrency. It's a good investment but it still needs learning and patience so we can't force everyone to do it. In our country, we already have a retirement account and I must say that it's beneficial for us in the future.
3294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 04, 2020, 04:31:33 PM
The current crypto market is exciting as everyone is happy that new funds are being pumped into the space, investors are making profits and people are aiming for new ATH for bigger profits. I  remind us all not to forget to take profits, cut your greed and find new opportunities. Never be emotional about any project, buy when it's right, sell when it's right.

We should've taken the bear market for years as an opportunity for us to buy and invest more so we'll have something to reap during the ATH. Our excitement couldn't give us a good profit if we'll buy while the price is still high. We better set a reasonable target now and take profits when we have reached it. It's about time to control our emotions or else it would be the one to control us.
3295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: December 04, 2020, 03:59:01 PM
2017's ATH has taught me a lesson of being patient and deciding with perfect timing. I was so reckless and greedy the last ATH because of the thought that the price would stay high for a long time. I missed the opportunity to sell and gain a good profit. From then on, I have decided to hold some of it and sell it at the nicest time. I will never repeat the same mistake because I've already learned how to take advantage of every market situation.
3296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 04, 2020, 02:01:13 AM
Bounty hunters for sure are aware of these things and they also know the possible things that might happen to a certain project but they're taking all the risks because of the hope of gaining a good reward. It's just a sad thing that some bounties are taking advantage of the neediness of bounty hunters not considering their time and effort to promote their projects. Instead of being grateful for their effort, bounty hunters usually end up being blamed when most investors dump their coins.
3297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal is sending the wrong message on: December 03, 2020, 03:18:13 PM
I think the real motive of Paypal is now starting to pop up. It seems like they're just using the name of Bitcoin for the benefit of their app. It simply means that it's not safe to buy Bitcoin through Paypal. I guess we should start being careful with it because Paypal has been holding even a huge amount of funds without any legal reason. They're spreading wrong information about the real usage of Bitcoin.
3298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 03, 2020, 01:47:37 PM
I also prefer projects that have mobile wallets because I find it more convenient to use. We could check on it whenever we want which is an advantage, especially for big-time investors. However, most investors still prefer desktop wallets because they find them more secured. I think things will still depend on how we handle our funds. Keeping our private keys regardless of the gadget that we're using for our wallets would be a big help to maintain its security.
3299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any holiday airdrop? on: December 03, 2020, 03:09:31 AM
I think if they are having an airdrop I don't think they are free since you need to do something to them before you would be able to receive rewards such as following their social media or ask you to post anything about them on your social media, etc. for me they are like a mini bounty campaign.

Also I don't think they were going to give free coins they are man in the suit not a man with a reindeer.

They will surely do that. Nothing is for free during this time. They will always ask us to do different tasks that will favor their project not unless there will be a good Santa who will share his blessings with us during this holiday season. Let's hope for the best but we shouldn't expect too much because most people nowadays are too business-minded and they focus on earning their profits.
3300  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bounty Hunter/Sig Participant ka ba? Read This. on: December 02, 2020, 06:52:26 PM
