3021  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 04, 2021, 11:44:12 AM
When you have a sustainable and comfortable life where you don't have to work for more than 8 hours a day just to sustain your necessities and when you reach all the goals that you have in life, for me, that's my description of being rich. When you don't have to worry about how you will survive life the next day and having good health is also a sign of being wealthy. There are also rich people who aren't happy with their status, I think contentment is still the key.
3022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better, ether or bitcoin? on: March 04, 2021, 08:45:50 AM
Why do you have to choose one if you could invest with both of them? Both Ethereum and Bitcoin are profitable especially when you buy at a good time. You could invest 50% in Bitcoin and 50% in Ethereum because both could grow in time. Be willing to take the risk and don't just invest with a single coin.
3023  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Title: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas at ang Cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2021, 05:23:45 PM
In summary:

  • Diokno: "cryptocurrencies are not really currencies, as they are more appropriately referred to as virtual assets"
  • Non-verbatim:"Wow angdaming nag eexchange ng crypto sa exchanges, prepare for more taxes!"

Eto talaga yun. Nakikita nila ang utility ng bitcoin sa pagpapapalit-palit lang ng value, pero not so much when it comes to actual transactions na pagsesend from one place to another. Either way, this still nets positive reaction from them, and who knows baka mas mag soften-up pa ang gobyerno at ang BSP sa policies, laws, and regulations na hinahanda nila sa kasalukuyan.

At regarding sa taxation, we already saw it coming from miles away.

Expected na natin to, knowing the government, as cryptocurrency makes noise and becomes massively adapted the more it gets the government's attention. The government will sooner or later include this as a tax subject. Either we like it or not we all know and we are well aware that we can't avoid corruption lalo na sa ating bansa.

3024  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 03, 2021, 03:16:48 PM
Ever since poor people exist, even on the time of Bible so I think this kind of scenario is not possible to happen. There will always someone ahead of us and we have to accept that fact and start working for our dreams.

Poor people are too dependent on the government, they are afraid to take the risk and since many are greedy they are taking advantage of the poor. This is a big problem of our society that even Bitcoin can’t solve.

There isn't a perfect life even during the old times. If we're all rich, we'll never persevere and work hard just like most of us do. There is poverty for us to work hard and reach our goals. We could only eliminate poverty if all people would know how to take opportunities and persevere to change their lives instead of relying on the government.
3025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: March 02, 2021, 05:02:23 PM
They might not be in trend right now but we all know that crypto is really volatile and anything could happen anytime so we shouldn't underestimate old yet potential coins. There's always a spotlight for each coin and I'm sure that good old projects still have a chance to boom in the future.
<snip>

3027  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: February 28, 2021, 04:03:45 PM
As long as there is money involved, no one could end corruption. Politicians will always make promises that they can't keep just to gain sympathy and support from their people. It has been happening for years and I guess, even the government couldn't control sports completely but they will always be involved in corruption.
3028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Currently i am quit from market and come in 2024 on: February 28, 2021, 03:36:54 PM
Currently i am quit and just taken my profit and exit. already exit and i am writing. i am hoping to come after 3 years. with 10000USD investment for a potential coin at that time..

now bull market gone, what ever bullish now is temporary and bear is inevitable. so whats your plans ?
I respect your decision but i would have liked if you stayed for atleast 6 more months, it is because of the fact that market and the trend is overall bullish and we still have not seen the market to completely parabolic which is characteristic of the real bull season so i guess you will miss massive gains this year.

The market is really unpredictable this year but I think there is still a lot to happen in the coming days so I find it too early to quit. I believe that it will be better if you'll wait for the bear market and invest before you leave and just go back when the next bull run happens again. However, we all have a different perspectives in life. As long as you're confident with your decision to leave then there's no problem with it as long as you'll never have regrets in the future.
3029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: February 28, 2021, 02:55:44 PM
Look for coins' potential and check their previous movements so you'll have an idea of how to deal with them. Choose active coins with high volume. Check for their prices and see if they're worth buying. Most of the good coins are old coins so doing research will still be a big help.
3030  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech companies no longer "friends" on: February 28, 2021, 02:26:39 PM
I think the war they show us is just external, internally they all work together to gain data and make as much profits as they can  Grin but, with course of time, and as history tells us, nothing is permanent and all companies will have their decline phases, sooner or later. I don't really think they will all come to blockchain to fight because the system here is very different than from what they are used to. And the marketplace for crypto is very different from that of fiat at the moment.

They will be competitors at some point but they will always work together in some areas. As for me, they wouldn't be competitors when it comes to blockchain since most of them are into Bitcoin. Facebook might have Libra yet other platforms would still recognize other coins especially Bitcoin. There will come a time wherein they will adopt more cryptocurrencies in the future.
3031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot Good For Future? on: February 28, 2021, 02:08:41 PM
Polkadot has shown lots of improvements for years. I have actually invested half of my funds in it and gained a good profit so far. As for me, Polkadot could possibly strike better in the coming years. It has a huge potential to grow like Ethereum so it's really worth investing during these days.
3032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust In-House Casino Competition? (Wager/Multiplier/Raffle) on: February 28, 2021, 12:54:24 PM
Well if an user is at leaderboard top positions there must be someway to proove that, maybe through his account's statistics?
I think a casino can't fake this kind of competition for too long, because the real big players will start doubting, questioning and complaining about the results, what will lead a wave of suspiciousness among other gamblers, prejudicing future competitions and the casino itself. So there is no point for a casino who wants to be reputable and to operate for a long time to practice such actions.

Probably, this scenario about faking would only exist for non reputable casino who's going to scam every gamblers who fall into their promotional traps. If you're smart enough to determine their modus, then don't trust on their mode of set play and it's in the first place they'll be suspicious once complains started to burst out from random players who experience some disappointing experience.

As for me, things will depend on the gambling casino that we're using. Nonreputable gambling sites will surely fake their leaderboard just to attract more players. However, good casinors are actually showing off real data based on real-time records of players. It's still up to us if we'll get tricked by casinos that are faking their data that's why we should always be wise and learn how to check the reputation of every casino.
3033  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about borrowing against your bitcoin? on: February 28, 2021, 12:33:04 PM
This idea will surely bring regrets in the future. Getting fiat and having Bitcoin as collateral will never be a good idea because we all know the capability of Bitcoin to strike higher in the future. As for me, Bitcoin is best for investment. If you still have other collateral to offer then choose it over Bitcoin. Be wise so you'll gain a better profit than having regrets when Bitcoin reaches the best price.
3034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 28, 2021, 12:00:24 PM
It is undeniable that before it was the gambling sector, the crypto casinos are one of the main reasons why the massive adoption is happening. But it's different this time and it's the institutions that are having the FOMO of buying bitcoin. As we look to the prices right now, it's one of the highest again, the $55k has been reached surprisingly and didn't expected to be that fast. The tweet of bitcasino purchasing Tesla, I hope that it will be granted by Elon Musk. That's going to be one of the best deals ever that we're going to see in the history if it happens.

Crypto casinos are one of the foundations of Bitcoin's achievements right now. It made crypto popular which is also beneficial to gamblers especially during this pandemic situation. However, there are already lots of events that influences that price of Bitcoin right now and you're right, Fomos and huge institutions that adopt it are some of them.
3035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History Of Crypto Gambling on: February 27, 2021, 04:24:13 PM
There are really lots of improvements and developments in the crypto gambling industry for years and I'm surprised to know that the first gambling platforms before are still reputable until now. Knowing the history of how crypto and gambling casinos are just living proof that crypto is too convenient for the gambling world. More people are now recognizing crypto more because of its continuous developments.
3036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: February 27, 2021, 03:25:47 PM
The price of Bitcoin is really hard to predict because the Bitcoin bull run this year isn't the same as the bull run that we had a few years ago. However, the bull run for altcoin I think is over because top coin prices have dropped down already. Bitcoin drops its price a little but it strikes high again so I think it could still strike higher in the coming days.
3037  Economy / Economics / Re: Will President Joe Biden be good for business? on: February 27, 2021, 03:01:41 PM
As for me, no politician or leader could change the economic situation the way that we'll feel satisfied. There will always be lapses because even honest and good leaders couldn't please their people. The government will always make promises that they couldn't fulfill and we should expect that. There is no such this as perfect leaders or perfect government.
3039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this still a good time on: February 27, 2021, 12:57:22 PM
Is it over already or it's not too late to invest in altcoins right now? I'm new to this crypto thing and I've been told to invest in top altcoins or BTC but the market isn't looking so good and I don't know if this is still a good time to invest or wait for red market

As for me, there are still coins that are worth investing in with the market situation that we have right now. Choose a potential top coin and check their previous movements and background so you'll have an idea of how to deal with it. The market is really unpredictable but doing your own research about your target coin would be a big help.
3040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul moving to Puerto Rico, fight back on? on: February 27, 2021, 03:24:24 AM
I think it's his personal choice and it isn't related to his future fights or his fight about Mayweather. It's his choice to move back to Puerto Rico because he wants to change his path. He's being buried by high taxes in California and moving to Puerto Rico would help him save more and he could also gain new opportunities there.
