3401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 23, 2020, 03:18:55 PM
As we know as a crypto Community most of people's think that a Bitcoin (any crypto currency) is illegal and scam. But Now Paypal officially integrated inbuilt features to buy/sell Bitcoin , Etherium , USDT and etc. So It is a great slap to the mostly people who think Crypto is illegal. Now they understand the power of crpyto in upcoming less than 2 years and it will change whole market , the early adopters will take great benefit.

There will be people who will always stand against Bitcoin and that is normal. Cryptocurrency itself can't please everyone especially those who don't have any knowledge about it. However, Bitcoin and other altcoins will always prove its worth and value through its developments. We're lucky that we're able to see its value and importance because I'm sure that more adoptions and developments will happen soon.
3402  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 23, 2020, 05:01:38 AM
Everything is unstable as long as there is a pandemic. Businesses halted operations due to supply problems. Supplies for a specific business takes too long to arrive beacuse of the tight security and of course shipment crews needs to be quarantined everytime they cross borders. That is why small businesses are affected and we workers as well. I know the only thing that will help me survive this crisis is cryptocurrency that is why I am active here again because fiat had failed me.

What is your story with fiat and cryptocurrency during pandemic? This is again the battle of centralized and decentralized assets and activity in the middle of a crisis. In your own experiences and opinion which of the two will win?

I have lost my long term job as well. I did my best to pursue my passion yet I didn't win the battle during this pandemic crisis. However, I'm still optimistic that there will still be lots of better opportunities for me even here in crypto world. I believe that everything happens for a reason and we'll all pass through it. For now, I'm still looking for more opportunities that could help me sustain all my daily needs. I know that things will get better soon.
3403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 23, 2020, 04:32:35 AM
Some of the sports leagues that got canceled due to the pandemic already finished with their respective resumes with some still on-going and lots of future events will take place under the new normal setup.

We have seen how these leagues put big efforts to somehow bring the sports back while people don't need to go outside to watch. They also think of a way on how to help players feel that the intense and excitement is still there performing in front of the fans.

Even with low ratings and small revenue (as expected), I consider this new normal setup as a success. It's not that easy to set up an own bubble amid the dangerous pandemic.

Kudos to their effort.

Lots of people are dealing and coping up with it so I could say that it's a success for us. It might sound too early to conclude but since we can adopt it, I believe that it's working well for everyone. Since we're in this kind of situation, we have no choice but to embrace the new normal even for sports or any kind of game. We have to look at the brighter side of it though we're having a hard time sometimes.
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 23, 2020, 03:14:51 AM
I only read a portion of it because it's honestly too long most of the time. Sometimes, when I get too excited with the site, I only check the I agree box so I could explore and discover more about the site as soon as I can. However, I know that it's still important to know their terms of agreement. Maybe that's also one of the reasons why we're sometimes struggling with the withdrawal and in processing our funds.
3405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 22, 2020, 07:27:31 PM
I guess this would have happened with the most of us ain't it ?

The other day I lost a few $ gambling on Roobet. My luck was so bad that day that when I thought of gambling a little more so that I recover the lost funds I lost more than 3 times the amount I lost earlier  Grin Grin Eventually I just quit the game and didn't play it again for 2 days. This is too obvious for any gambler and everyone can relate to this feeling.

What you guys do when such a thing happen with you ?

P.S : I did play the game again after a few days and recovered some of the $. But this time I quit the game while I was in profit.  Tongue

P.P.S : I was conscious while I was trying to recover the lost funds and I tried only till that point where I can't afford to lose anymore. I always keep in mind the amount that I can afford to lose.

It's a good thing that you're still able to recover from your losses but don't put too much emotions when gambling. Always expect that there's a big risk that you might lose not just once but a lot of times so you better know how to put limits to it. Gambling won't guarantee you continuous winning.
3406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 21, 2020, 09:42:17 AM
Honestly, my portfolio has been in a shakey situation during this pandemic because I have lost my job during the lockdown. I got no choice but to trade and sell some of my holdings. However, I don't see it as a worse thing but I rather see the brighter side of it. It's the best time to grind again and try to earn more so we could replace the holdings that we have lost during this pandemic.
3407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 21, 2020, 09:16:32 AM
Do you ever asked yourselves these things?
1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
I would prefer online gambling because of its accessibility especially during the situation that we have right now. It's also convenient since we could play wherever we are.
2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
I'm willing to spend the amount that I could afford to lose because once you gamble, there's no guarantee that you could still gain more than it.
3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
I'll stop whenever it's needed especially when I'm already losing most of my funds. It's important that we'll know when to stop and when to continue.
4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
I wouldn't gamble all of it because I can't afford to lose it. I'll just gamble a single part of it.
5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
We should know how to put limits. Too much gambling isn't healthy and might put our lives even our assets and liabilities at risk.
3408  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 21, 2020, 07:01:38 AM
We need to move on and recover from the pandemic crisis so reopening the economy would be necessary. The pandemic situation will only get worst if people will not follow the protocols and if they will be hard-headed. It depends on how we follow safety measures. We still need to rise and stand again so we'll not get into deep debt.
3409  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 20, 2020, 11:45:39 PM
There's no vaccine yet but there are countries that don't have any recent covid records these days. Despite the absence of the vaccine, they are still able to handle the covid situation in their country which means that its symptoms could be treated so I don't think we'll still be in a worse situation because of it. Things are getting quite better these days.
3410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 20, 2020, 11:09:30 PM
Hello friend.
I wish you always good and healthy.

I have a little story about the world of gambling, in general, I have a hobby of gambling in the world of sports, especially football etc.

In the last few months, I have been very bored and tired of fighting in the sports betting arena, for various reasons my favorite team has contracted Covid and many other reasons, I can't rely on it anymore, for a while I decided to temporarily stop gambling football and will switch to the world of online gambling called (Roulette), looks a little relaxed, but convincing, not much of a challenge, if the guess is right.

Actually Roulette gambling I've known for a long time, however, never playing, maybe this is the time.

My question is: there is something to learn about roulette gambling, or just luck in this game.

Regards.

Just like any gambling game, your winnings would still rely on your luck in roulette. It doesn't guarantee that you'll win here all the time but you can also apply simple strategies. It's just like playing the lottery where you won't have an assurance of winning. Professional players recommend black and red as the safest bets and yet, it still depends on your choice. It's just fine if we'll try different games if we get bored with the game that we used to play but we still have to be mindful of our bets and try to acquire knowledge about it first.
3411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of repetitive projects and old ideas on: June 25, 2020, 03:25:13 PM
Many new altcoins will die in the future because there won't be many investors investing money on them and as we know it we have many scammers here who will keep creating useless tokens and coins, if you are a developer and you think you are serious enough then try as hard as possible to come out with something new and different, enough of repetitive projects and same old ideas

Bring in something NEW or don't bother at all

I have to agree with this. Most investors are so over with the same kind of strategy because lots of them have been scammed the same way. Most investors nowadays only invest in coins with a firm foundation because they know the risks of investing in new coins. However, there are still a few projects who are applying the same strategy yet succeed in their own ways. Developers and team behind each project still play a vital role.

3413  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 23, 2020, 03:52:44 PM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few

I think all clients i had from bitcointalk prefer to use bitcoin to buy services / products they needed ...

Not a single client that i had until now used altcoins like ethereum ,litecoin etc or tokens like usdt, usdc ....

Why do you think people don't like to use altcoins to buy things on the internet ?

I think it is because people have their full trust in Bitcoin. It's not that other altcoins aren't trustworthy but Bitcoin has a huge edge. It has been through a lot of tests of time so most investors and users don't take the risk of using altcoins but rather focus on Bitcoin. Some investors also prefer holding their potential altcoins as their choice.
3414  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 21, 2020, 01:26:08 PM
World is facing a new crisis almost last 6 months+ and who knows how much it will remain. For this pandemic outbreaks, economy is getting down in many countries. It's getting cursed for one sector based economy.

Explain your country's economy here by mentioning the sector which is getting down day by day for this pandemic.

The moment I heard about the pandemic, I didn't expect that it will hit our country this hard. I'm sure that most countries are also struggling these days. We're now in the midst of a deep dept because of this pandemic. Most of us here are required to go back to work despite the pandemic just to help our economy survive. They say that it will still take months before they create a vaccine for this virus but I hope that our country would still survive until the good days come.
3415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: June 21, 2020, 12:30:17 PM
Bitcoin's popularity has been increasing ever since the bull market of 2017 took place. Even with the pandemic, prices have recovered to their original levels (near $10k) in just a matter of months. More people are accepting Bitcoin worldwide, albeit at a slow and steady pace. I've seen many sites out there in the online world which accepts Bitcoin for goods and services. But the number of businesses and merchants accepting it for food or groceries are quite limited. In the physical world, supermarkets and even fast foods haven't even adopted Bitcoin yet. Fiat is still the predominant type of currency in the mainstream world, for buying items that are required for one's survival.

Do you think that in the future it'll be possible to buy food or groceries with Bitcoin? I know that volatility is a huge issue for Bitcoin to be accepted as an alternative to traditional Fiat, but merchants and businesses could quickly convert Bitcoin to a stablecoin minimizing the risk of loss. What are your thoughts? Huh

I don't think that it will happen soon but it isn't impossible to happen since most transactions now are usually done online or through the use of the latest technology. There are actually a few merchants who are starting to accept bitcoin payment in our country. We only need adoption and more people to recognize the use of cryptocurrency.
3416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earn and save in Satoshi on: June 21, 2020, 07:08:49 AM
Hi everyone, i understand that the global pandemic has caused different economic scenes in the world; but if you are still into crypto currency and bitcoin or you are about giving up on it.

I want to urge you to not give up on crypto currency and bitcoin because it is a wealth creator; all you have to do is to not cheat the process.
Bitcoin is a path to wealth transfer, and i want to encourage to save in satoshis, either daily or weekly; the future of bitcoin and crypto currency is here!

Thanks for reminding all of us to be hopeful and just to trust the process. We can't really deny the fact that we're on a shaky economic situation right now and there are situations where we're tempted to sell our holdings. It's an advantage if we'll have a positive outlook despite the pandemic. Things will still get better soon.
3417  Economy / Economics / Re: What brings economy of a country down. on: June 21, 2020, 03:15:49 AM

COVID19 had brought country's economy down.  Lips sealed

Some countries are dependent on their oil exportation which their economy will run smoothly and some have a booming economy because they are heavily industrialized like China. Taking that out from them, then they'd be crippled. A city like Las Vegas' economy is dependent on tourism, due to Covid19, they are helpless which is why they have to make it work and open casinos despite the risk.

This is definitely true. Lots of huge businesses here have no choice but to stop their operation because of the pandemic. Our country is now having a huge debt because we have nothing to sustain the treatment of covid patients because of the economic situation and the government also needs to sustain the necessities of the people. Some unexpected situations could bring the economy of a country down.
3418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make a trade or investment decision? on: June 19, 2020, 01:20:11 PM
How do you make a trade or investment decision? Do you read news and check the price updates of your Coin? How do you do this? How do you get real time crypto news, social media updates, and price alerts? If there's any 1-stop place to get all in real-time for free would you like to join?

I usually set a target goal and once I reach it I make the decision of selling from there. There are also unexpected situations wherein we're forced to sell what we have because some situations would influence our decisions depending on our needs.
We all have our own strategies but it's important that we're gaining a good profit out of it. It takes a lot of courage and patience especially if we're holding a coin with a not so strong foundation.
3419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever made a deposit and haven't received it in your account? on: June 19, 2020, 04:05:08 AM
Have you ever deposited a currency in one of the sites or exchanges and did not receive the currency in your account.  I means that the withdrawal was already done in your first account but did not reach your second account on the other exchange and remained on the network. Is this possible? What can be done?

I haven't had that kind of experience before yet it's really possible to happen. The best thing that you have to do it to provide evidence and screenshots and reach out to their support team. It's really important that we'll always choose a trusted exchange.
3420  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: June 18, 2020, 02:37:29 PM
I also tried some money making apps, but unfortunately always turned out to be a scam...Thank you for sharing that link, maybe i should check it out to see myself and share to others too 😊

I also had the same experience. It's really hard and quite impossible to find legit apps that would help us make money becase in the end, they will actually be the ones who would earn from you so you better check their legitimacy. It's better to search for legit online jobs that would pay you a good amount based on how you'll work for it rather than trusting some apps these days.
