3362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People support what Good for them but btc?? on: November 11, 2020, 05:30:57 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need to prove itself to anybody especially those who are continuously doubting its capability. It won't be beneficial for those who don't believe in it and for those who don't have enough knowledge about its value and its importance. If you don't trust it and you don't want to support it then you should look for something that you're comfortable investing with. Bitcoin is never a shortcut to success because even rich people these days have gone through challenges as well.
3363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin will die then crypto market will die confirm! on: November 11, 2020, 04:35:27 PM
Everything on crypto relies on Bitcoin because it's one of the strongest foundations of the cryptocurrency world. So I think if Bitcoin would die, that will be the downfall of all cryptocurrencies but that will be hard and impossible to happen right now. Bitcoin has passed all the tests of time so I'm sure that its foundation is strong enough to face all the challenges in the future.
3365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 11, 2020, 08:53:32 AM
The Macau gaming enterprise have reported that more than 60% of the Workers working in casinos have been Forced to take Unpaid leave.

The weird thing was : If the Worker have worked for too long the casinos takes them for granted and they are more likely to loose their payment.

Now 8% of them are thinking of switching to new jobs.

Now the steps taken  to tackle that :

Quote
Macau government could regulate the unpaid leave, measures could be implemented for an economic rebound, employees could be offered additional training, and the foreign employment quota should be adjusted to protect the local workers.

Macau continues to suffer the effects of the ongoing pandemic, despite some of the slight recoveries taking place in the industry.

At the same time we saw the boost in the gaming revenues:
Quote
Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) dropped by 90% in September but rose by 229% month-on-month in October. The Individual Visit Scheme resumed mid-September and helped boost the economy in a small way, however, the country expects the tourist arrivals for 2020 to drop by 90%.

Lots of employees from different companies and fields are also experiencing the same thing. Even professionals have lost their jobs as well. I think that's the only way that they can do for them to survive their companies during this pandemic crisis and I'm sure that they didn't intend to do this, especially for their loyal employees. What we need to do is to move forward and just look for more opportunities because we are all suffering during this situation.
3366  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: November 11, 2020, 07:27:24 AM
Somehow it gave me goosebumps.

It is still way different when people are serving you.
You get smiles or sometimes you get an angry bellboy.  Grin
Human interaction is still the best or we will end up just like these robots without emotions even in the slightest things.
I hope I am dead when that happens.

This is definitely true. Human service is better than any technology can do. It's just a sad thing that most businesses prefer technology over human services maybe because of its faster and more convenient service. This would really have a huge impact in the employment rate that will also affect the economy in the future. I hope that businesses would also consider the employment needs of people around them.
3367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2020, 01:00:22 AM
I have a friend who is always asking me about Bitcoin because he wants to invest in it. However, he thinks of it as a shortcut to success which is a wrong mindset. I don't want him to blame me in the end so I want to educate him about its risks first. It's a long process of learning but it's a good thing that he's eager to learn about it. Well, there's still nothing wrong with sharing our knowledge.
3368  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 10, 2020, 03:37:08 PM
Unfortunately, that's the struggle that our country is going through. People are suffering more not just because of the pandemic but because of corrupt leaders. Instead of helping people, they're using our national funds for their own purposes. They're taking advantage of the situation which is making the pandemic crisis worse. I think even when the pandemic ends, the corruption would still continue to foster in our country.
3369  Economy / Economics / Re: Effective Covid-19 vaccine found on: November 09, 2020, 07:11:07 PM
There are actually lots of vaccines already so I'm still wondering why WHO isn't approving any of it yet. Most of us have been waiting for it because we all want to go back to our normal lives. This pandemic caused chaos to most countries but it seems like it will still take time for them to release a legal vaccine for it. I just hope that by the end of the year or early next year, things would go back to normal.
3370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: November 09, 2020, 05:12:17 PM
As for me, the lack of knowledge is one of the reasons why some people are avoiding it. Also, one common factor is a bad experience. Some of them have lost their funds, got scammed, and so on. However, if there are people who are avoiding Bitcoin, there are still people who accept it and tries to seek knowledge about it continuously especially now that more businesses and platforms are starting to adopt it.
3371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 07, 2020, 03:37:03 PM
I really felt bad reading this kind of news. Gambling is actually originated for entertainment only but it's really a sad thing that it's now even taking lives. I think that's the reason why we have to take control of our emotions in gambling. We should know our limits and just bet what we could afford to lose. Borrowing money just to continue playing isn't really a good idea because it has lots of risks since there's no guarantee of winning. I just hope that the boy who committed suicide has been wise so things won't get worse for him.
3372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 07, 2020, 01:00:54 PM
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.

Is this a good idea? Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?

Is anyone really going to use this?

I'm afraid that my customers may not be much into cryptos, but I guess that it's hard to tell until you try ...
I also have some doubts about the technical side.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Things will depend on your target market and your product. It's also an advantage if you'll accept payments through other altcoins like Ethereum and other top coins. It will be beneficial for crypto users who wants to purchase their products. It's still for you if you're ready and able to take all the risks.
3373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: November 06, 2020, 05:16:40 PM
I'm using Bitcoin for multiple purposes. In our country, there are lots of merchants and platforms that accept Bitcoin. I'm using it to buy stuff and do shopping online. I'm also able to pay our bills and necessities through it. It's really convenient and I don't have to convert it into cash. Buying electronic load through our local Bitcoin wallet is also possible. However, I'm still allocating some of it for my savings especially now that the price of Bitcoin is getting better.

3375  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 03, 2020, 04:59:58 PM
$1-3 is indeed not that expensive for bitcoin fees but currently it is more than that (doubled or even tripled) so it can be something too expensive for regular players with small bankroll. Your suggestion as an alternative to add other coins is good but I do believe adding more coins is better imo.

Some site enable us to withdraw in different cryptocurrency even though we deposits in BTC, I wish Roobet can implement this kind of option since they actually converted the BTC deposit into USD.  It is always a good thing to have different option especially when BTC tx fee is quite high for a small players.

I certainly agree with you. I think that's one of the things that they should include or consider in the future. Most of us want to hold our Bitcoins and just want to use altcoins in betting or in different transactions. Roobet is too user friendly but I hope that they would accept feature suggestions like this in the future.
3376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: November 03, 2020, 04:24:56 PM
Hey guys,

As we all know, the Bitcoin is experiencing a decent price increase and it is slowly but steadily rising every day. Has it affected your gameplay somehow?
Some gamblers think if the price is so expensive it would be difficult to get profits.

How about you?

Cheers,
Karl
Bitcasino.io

It honestly affects my gameplay especially when the value of Bitcoin increases too fast. I usually put limits since I have to consider the transaction fees as well as the amount that I'm going to bet because the higher the price of Bitcoin is, the higher the risk that we're facing as well. I get more conscious and more careful if the increase in price is too noticeable.
3377  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: COVID-19 Related Scams on: November 03, 2020, 06:30:54 AM
3378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: November 03, 2020, 05:32:00 AM
I think pending transactions like this are just normal but I wouldn't spend high fees just for it. I would choose sites with lower fees with faster transactions. If this happens, you better wait until your pending transaction is complete since that's all you can do but if nothing happens, you better contact their team. Just be wise and try to look for legit and reputable gambling sites.
