fake market depth. the seller probably thought there was more, so just put in $100 in an attempt to beat the panic selling. Bots will have placed small "alert" bids, that when they are hit, their larger bids are pulled, this left a weak market with a large sell order crashing through it.
1765  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 10, 2014, 05:00:32 PM
Wow that's crazy. I guess the market depth at BTC-E wasn't large enough to handle some large panic sellers or something? I mean, who actually puts in sale orders below $200?

I'm just wondering if the one who sold 8.5k BTC with a market order on BTC-E taking the price down to $102 is a mentally challenged trader who went full retard or just a poor guy who got his account hacked.

He lost MILLIONS to the lucky bastards that had bids down to $100 on BTC-E. Somebody six-folded his money in a couple of seconds.

Well for me, I dont mind not knowing which block I found, just would be cool to have an email that gets sent to me each time I find a block (counter goes +1). This way I can happy happy joy joy dance when I know I got extra coins comin heh

I think you are confused about how POOLED mining works. you do not get anything extra when your workers find a block.

CoinTerra is offering compensation to early adopters of its latest TerraMiner IV mining rigs, based on the GoldStrike I ASIC.

All customers who ordered the first batch of TerraMiner IV units, scheduled to ship in December, will now receive a second rig, free of charge.

Just wondering if we could have information regarding this statement. What compensation will we be offered?

has a facility with the correct power capabilities been secured/located?

8 x 50ghps = 4thps

That is some serious overclocking.

Hehe, sorry was written from my phone.  Was meant to be 500 not 50.

Well Phinn, mu guess would be that shiny thing would be a mining rack.
It appears to contain 8 card style mining devices.... possibly GPU...... possibly not. I wonder what it has to do with a 4THps screenshot ..... 8 x 50ghps = 4thps

I like shiny things

Saw it, but since I hadn't a clue as to what it is, except shiny, I opted for my screenshot instead, to drive the bright idea thing home.

Where are you based?

Bitmain,

I know your busy as heck, when you get a moment can you share if there's any news on BitmainTech's next Antminer version?  I would definitely keep buying from Bitmain in the future, if there's a version to complete with CoinTerra or Butterfly's new miners.

Thank you.

that would involve a whole new chip design. building a 2TH miner like cointerra would consume about 4kwhr with current chip spec.

UPS is for international shipment by default, DHL and EMS are also available, while making a special comment if needed. S.F. Express is for domestic shipment.

And text message at your email?

stop asking so many questions, you do this in the KnC thread also. try reading before posting.

Sorry but i held my tongue in the KnC thread unlike the others but it is just getting ridiculous.

Read before posting your questions
