1841  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: February 02, 2014, 06:05:22 PM
My second 8vrm does 675GH also, but the boards consume 710watt with about 1.5% hw

my 4vrm only does 660GH,, consumes 750watt  Shocked with 1.7 %hw

Now no, the server is dead but usually yeah, I get crazy speeds of 200GH+ without overclocking.
Plus the merged mining (even tho they don't worth much) is still something extra Wink

Ghash is not a good pool to mine on. Yes they charge 0% fee to make miners to join thinking they are getting a good deal.
Initially they said they charged 0% fee and mined for fun, but in actual fact they kept the merged mining rewards.

Ghash is unstable, it provides much down time

servers changed without warning creating more down time

despite your 0% fee, they don't pay for orphans which generally is above 2% per week ,Orphans for ghash last week = 2.83%

Do the network and yourself a favor and mine else where

is your pool online?

test with a secondary pool

my hosted miners just increased in speed

1849  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: February 01, 2014, 04:01:38 PM
Wow did you guys see this??

Avalon is making new 2U 300GH/s systems?

http://avalon-asics.com/product/avalon2-new-2u-size-machine-300ghs-with-a3255/

Quote
Hashing speed and power usage:
 315GH/s, 1020W@220V in normal mode.
 210GH/s, 420W@220V in ECO mode.

Very similar spec to an Antminer with OC when in eco mode, both 55nm chip

things are going to get competitive around here

Avalons chip seems to tune pretty similar to Antminer's 55nm spec

things are going to get even more competitive after the New year

I have used the RMA service twice now, shipped express, they receive and ship same day express. ship Monday have a replacement on Wednesday

Best support ever in my opinion.
Did you get brand new boards (4813) or used boards?

the boards had thermal paste on them and they were tuned nicely  Wink speculate how you will.

Great service! Big respect for knC, despite the naysayers, they are doing what they set out do to.

Quote
We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or  February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months.

Their competitors are other 28nm producers and none have produced or added to the network really, although cointerra are away to start shipping it still has not effected the network and may not in a big way when delivered.

Quote
We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.

If the upgrade boards are $1000 a piece that is pretty much 1bitcoin for 140GH(OC 160-170) possibly next week, that's a competitive deal if you ask me.

I have to say thanks and as we say in Jamaica Nuff Respec Mon!

I ordered 3 units from Sushi for delivery to me here in Jamaica. And they were shipped and delivered exactly on time as they say they would I had the miners in hand 4 days after sending my coins.

Units that came appeared to be new and unused, even though 2 had the thermal paste leaking problem which is the least, as they all were up and hashing within 5 mins of me plugging them in.

I will definately be buying more of these units.

Big up Mon.

Thermal paste leaking out is a sure sign of new and unused Smiley

I spend 15 to 30 minutes cleaning each of my units as they come in.

They also leak some kind of clear oil that is hard to see that I clean up as well (it's from the thermal paste)

leaking thermal paste just means they applied more before sending your machine out, it does not mean it is new and unused Wink

4. George R.R. Martin Dying Before Completing the Song of Ice and Fire Series

This would absolutely devastate me also.

5. my electric bill

It's actually my wife's reaction when she sees the next one that has me staying up all night scared as hell. I just fired up a new scrypt miner and we live in Kalifornia with $0.34/kWh rates....

I get charged about 0.25 euro cent per kWh, so i really do feel your pain.

I actually moved into a new place when i started mining, direct debit set up for monthly payments for normal household use.
It's basically like taking a Loan from the electric company for a year until they come take my meter reading and make me pay up.
By the time i actually have to pay hopfully BTC is worth more. All the electricity i used when mining with Avalon machines certainly does not not equate the same amount of bitcoin to pay now as it did then Wink

You mean to tell me you ride a child's push bike?

only faggots sit on some sharp saddle between their ass crack squashing their balls. is that what you were asking for with that question? don't be that guy who ridicules innovation, you're on a wrong forum for that. try that kickbike and then come say your opinion. I have used a bicycle a lot in past thus my opinion has value while yours is purely based on prejudice.

My comment was meant in Jest as is this thread(i assume) and the comments i made earlier, all in Jest.

Now that you mention it I actually mostly cycle while standing on my pedals, I am quite tall and it is just comfier on my knees and yes it is comfier on the crotch area.  oh and i like to tower over everyone ;p

I have ridden a push bike before, as i think most people have, i may not have ridden one since i was about 4 years old but a push bike is a push bike, you can add gears to it and fancy brake pads but it is just a push bike.

Now how do you cycle up hill as someone else asked?

Also you generally don't sit on a sharp saddle when cycling a bike  Huh

I live in Amsterdam, I doubt Eugene Oregon could begin to  compare with the amount of bikes used here.

some random numbers for you:

In 2006, there were about 1,000,000 bicycles in Amsterdam

in 2005, about 54,000 bicycles were stolen and every year between 12,000 and 15,000 bicycles are retrieved from the canals
1857  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining Monitor app like BitCare wanted, will PAY for the development. on: January 31, 2014, 04:06:24 PM
I may be able to get this done. PM ME .. see signature for link reference to other apps serving the community.

nice list of apps, unlike you I do not have that many lol

Well you both have an Idea of the task and what is wanted?
You have installed bitcare to see how it works and what i really want from an application?
what quote can you give me for such a project.

1858  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining Monitor app like BitCare wanted, will PAY for the development. on: January 31, 2014, 04:04:11 PM
I do have one question. What happens when you try to install this app from the play store?

pretty sure it says it is incompatible. It no longer comes up in a play store search, i have to manually find it online

1. My bike getting stolen, It would be the 6th Bike in a year, I maybe do live in the bike theft capital of the world though....

Never again I will ride a conventional bike... Been kickbiking for 2 years already and it's the second best thing after Bitcoin that has happened to me.
