Come on, I just tried and opened a new account and I can tell you it's freeGrin

They are merely here to try to scam people who know no better about the current Binance situation. I also would not be surprised if the recent failure of one of the Binance database replicas was part of the reason some might thing that Binance is still not accepting new registration-- but I can tell you that it is not. Registrations are completely free at the moment and do not even require any sort of personal information and still have fairly high limits.

What is your source? This seems fairly fishy and I can guarantee that it has not been gotten through the original methods, which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on the buyer's intentions, but it does limit what the guarantee for such a code can be used for, as it is unlikely it would be supported. Furthermore, it would seem as if your Selly link does not work. I am getting a "Whoops" 404 error, which means that the item is no longer on their site. It is possible that the item has simply gone out of stock, though, but you should check it out.

But if you truly want a very high security wallet, I'll go with hardware wallets.
I would agree with this. If security is your first priority then go with a hardware wallet like ledger nano s and you also use it with mycelium.
There is also trezor but the most preferred wallet of majority is ledger nano s but I've seen people here that they are using their spare laptop and installing electrum them and treat it as their offline wallet which is also a better way to keep your bitcoins.

Using an old laptop means there will always be that little chance of some malware being there. Even if you format it and install Linux, there can still be some malware. Some paranoid people might say to avoid doing that.
I'm not an expert with linux since I'm a windows users.

What is this malware you are talking about that even the simplest way of killing them which is formatting will make them remain in the computer?

AFAIK, linux is a virus-free OS since its an open source and its not a preferred OS by the majority. Are you thinking that those malware are sticking to the hardware of the PC?

I ask of you to explain how it would be possible.
Yes please, I'm interested of knowing that part too.

Careful there. Your understanding of Linux is a little off, which is not good when you are wanting to stick to a fully secure system. Linux refers to the kernel of the operating systems that use it. The actual operating systems vary and include Ubuntu, Debian, FreeBSD, CentOS, etc. Unless the computer or component manufacturer were to stick a hidden network card which somehow connected to the internet without any user input or knowledge, it is highly unlikely that there is a hardware-based attack vector for stealing wallets. At the most, it would delete them, which would net the hacker absolutely nothing. It is simply not possible that after a proper format of a hard drive there could be any malware left. The malware cannot just spread to other hardware pieces as the person you quoted seemed to imply.
Hi btcton,

Thank you for clarifying that thing. As I stated I'm not that knowledgeable that much with Linux and I appreciated your correction with the thing that I've said.

Loving the forum with people who are more knowledgeable with the other fence that I'm not good with.

You're more than welcome. I simply do not like misinformation being spread around the forums such as was the case with what jtipt said. He also never came back to clarify at all, so I kind of felt forced to chip in, since what he said was simply wrong. What rubs me off is when people claim things they are not fully knowledgeable about as fact, but I can also just assume that he meant to say something else that I didn't quite grasp. I may not be the most knowledgeable person regarding the blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, but when it comes to computer systems, I am overly comfortable with them and know a good amount as it is my job, which is applicable to most applications that are related to crypto and security.
84  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I want to pay Camtasia by BTC on: February 06, 2018, 05:59:24 AM
You could possibly try to strike a trade down at the Currency Exchange section or maybe try to post a new thread under the Digital Goods section as wanting to buy. Either of these ways should be good for having someone else pay it for you. On the othet hand, you should be aware that scams aren't uncommon when it comes to paying in Bitcoin, so you should either be using an escrow or trading with someone who has good reputation and positive trust. If you do not feel comfortable doing it, then your best option is to get a bitcoin card from a provider in your country. Good luck!

86  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain API That Supports The Most Coins on: February 05, 2018, 06:56:28 AM
I'm using dozens of clients for to scan all the different blockchains. The main query I need to do is getting address balances. Do you have a recommendation for a REST or Websocket API that supports a lot of coins?

Bonus points if the API can retrieve balances for multiple addresses at once.
I have one recommendation, have a look at (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/api.dws), it has lot of altcoins. the only problem is that it returns JSON object/data.

That seem more of a benefit than a problem, at least to me. I see no better way that the information could be served from a REST API. I glanced at the documentation for the API you linked to and it seems that it could work for OP. My only concern with it is the rather limiting quota that each API key is assigned (no more than 1 query every 10 seconds). Depending on how many coins OP needs to obtain address information for, this method could potentially be too slow for his purposes since because of the nature of the API, at least one query is required per coin, but it does seem like the most convenient method. The only alternative is to find different APIs for each coin and use those so that the different blockchains don't have to be stored on the machine, but that is all that I can really think of.

Uh, no, not really.

If you install a proper public, stable Linux distribution in a laptop that has been properly formatted with no hidden partitions or anything of the sort, then you should be fine. I see no way that your wallet could be compromised by malware in this way unless the malware was delivered as part of the operating system and made to delete your wallet rather than send it over, as all network interfaces should be completely disconnected making the attacker unable to steal anything. I ask of you to explain how it would be possible.

I would like to update my address to a SegWit one to keep with the spirit of the campaign. My new address is bc1qszrhw5hn26py4a9glqy3hdv53r0xnze2pd5nqk. I do not find signing a message with my old address to be necessary, but I'll do so if requested.
89  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Mycelium or Electrum? Best bitcoin wallet on: February 05, 2018, 01:50:24 AM
For the record, I just downloaded Electrum and it seems to have a very healthy number of security options, one of which includes 2-factor authentication. While I did not use this because I have other security measures in place, I do recommend you take a look at it. It supports SegWit addresses as well for lower transaction fees and it has a clean user interface. I have not tried Mycelium personally, but I might get it on my phone on the near future. As of now, I cannot comment on it, though. From what I have heard, either should be fine and it's up to your personal preference.

Hello guys...

I have diversified my portfolio to about 25 different cryptos which were worth about 7000-8000$ just before the bitcoin crash came and I am wondering whats the exact reason behind this, when or will it recover (and so the alt coins I hold, don't have any bitcoin).

Why do almost all alt coins crash because of the bitcoin crash or correction?

My portfolio is worth only 4000$ atm.

Sorry for being an beginning idiot and asking this and thanks for everybody who can explain it to me

Most cryptocurrencies except for Bitcoin itself (obviously) have their value tied relative to Bitcoin. Furthermore, over the course of the past month, there has been a constant selling out of people from the crypto scene. Now, when these people who sell their Bitcoins have most of their earnings in bitcoins, Bitcoin's price remains decreases but the value of other cryptocurrencies stays the same relative to Bitcoin. However, if those people who are moving to fiat actually have portfolios consisting of other cryptocurrencies, not only does selling off decrease the price of Bitcoin itself as an intermediary to fiat, but it also decreases the value of that cryptocurrency relative to Bitcoin. Arbitraging usually means that these differences are usually reconciled to market price for all trading pairs, but those are the basics of the trading mechanics.
91  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [SELLING] .Edu Email Account for Student Discount & Amazon Prime - CHEAP - 1.5$ on: February 02, 2018, 06:07:49 AM
I tested with Microsoft Dreamspark and it seems working. If you can tell me what specific software you want I might be able to check

It seems like Office is actually not limited to a single machine, so in fact, the only software I would need for the second one is Windows itself. My current secondary machine is running on the home edition, which is no good for some of my uses. My own DreamSpark does not let me get more than one key for Windows 10 Education edition. This would be the one I am looking for; however, it seems to be limited at least on my side to certain usergroups which I assume you may not have access to. You can check by going to the DreamSpark university-specific webstore at https://imagine.microsoft.com/en-us/catalog/webstore. You can then try to obtain a license key for Windows 10 Education, and if it works then that would be awesome. The odds aren't very likely, however.
92  Economy / Services / Re: (BUY) Help me setting my ARM VPS to cpu mining on: February 02, 2018, 04:23:15 AM
How will this work? If we agree to a price will escrow be available?
Hi so i have ARM VPS i try to install cpuminer but seems i cant, so if you have a way to make my ARM VPS mining Cpu coin, and tell me the step to do it, then let me knows your Fees, here or on my PM

if i agree with your price, i will send the login credential, and you can start setting it

thank you

As the user stated below, what is your price and will you use escrow?
Did you attempt to compile cpuminer? What does "I try to install cpuminer but seems I can't" mean?

Seems i cant since the fees will be huge, unless we can find escrow service with  cheap fees, but since i also need know the step to replicate then i can pay when you show me the vps actually mining (coin for mining will be zcoin)

the price will be 50$ but its negotiable, thats why i ask the fees price, for whoever that interested,

yes i attempt to compile cpuminer like what i always do with non ARM machine, but its not work, also try to use with tutorial, and still cant work, but i admitted i dont know much about linux

If your VPS is running on an ARM processor, I highly doubt that you will be able to make much, if anything, with it. The fact that it is a VPS and that it will be sharing that same CPU with other users on the same host machine definitely does not help. If you are still wanting to go on with it, you should try compiling cpuminer yourself. I am not familiar with it, but if it is open source, you can usually just clone the repository into your VPS and follow the build process that is usually outlined in the README file. I can actually look into it or do it for you for a fairly low price. It is ultimately up to you, though, as the steps that I put here are really all that is needed unless you are simply not familiar with using Linux through the command-line, which is understandable.

Yes, can you give me the price?? thank you

Honestly, it seems you may already have the background for it if you already do compile the application for other architectures. I don't think I will have the time to do it in the near future, so I will leave this to the next person. If you still want to try it out yourself, however, feel free to copy over whatever error it is that you are having as well as a link to the source code and I will take a look at it during my spare time. I honestly feel like paying $50 is way too much for what you would be getting back.

94  Economy / Digital goods / Re: YouTube RED FOREVER without Subscriptions! | 5$ on: February 01, 2018, 03:04:16 AM
So I take it that this does not actually use the official YouTube or YouTube Red streaming service. Does this means that we would be using a third party service for this? If so, I would like more details on it. Is it a streaming service or would we have to download the videos we want to watch? Furthermore, are we guaranteed to obtain the same quality of the original video streaming on the official YouTube Red website? Lastly, how can you be sure that this won't be taken down, since it most likely breaks copyright law?
95  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Google Pixel XL 128gb 0.5 ETH on: January 31, 2018, 08:00:05 PM
Can you say anything about your particular phone's display? I currently have one that has the blue shift extremely noticeable which I find to be somewhat annoying but I love everything else about the phone. How bad is the blue shift on yours? I might be willing to buy it depending on how it is. Furthermore, some XLs also seem to have mic issues when recording video or audio messages. This seems to be inconsistent depending on individual models, as LG's displays do not seem to be as good as Samsung's. A picture of the phone turned on with a white screen at an angle would suffice to check this.

If your phone is significantly better than mine I would be willing to buy it.

Hey,

here are more pictures https://imgur.com/a/wQQUX

The display looks perfect for the naked eye. I have eyeballed it for several minutes turning it on and off to get to the white screen and could not see a single defect.

Ah, nevermind, I was thinking that you were selling the Pixel 2 XL rather than the first generation one. That's my fault. I was talking about a screen defect present in all of the Pixel 2 XLs that makes looking at the screen at an angle result in a blue hue where there shouldn't be any. I guess I will be keeping mine for the time being; it's not as bad once you get used to it. If you don't find any luck here consider trying the auction sub-forum. You can probably get something going there.

97  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-30] Fork Fail: US Government Institute Claims Bitcoin Cash Is ‘Original on: January 31, 2018, 04:11:04 AM
Unsurprisingly, all the information currently coming out only serves to discredit any research that the U.S. government has done on cryptocurrencies. The fact that they cannot even get the names right for some of the cryptocurrencies and can't tell the difference between the originals and forks does not help their case. The main problem we have as crypto supporters in instances such as this one is that the government is going to impose laws and regulations on crypto that are not going to make sense and are going to be swayed by the financial institutions that with their lobbyists will be convincing lawmakers that cryptos have no benefits and can only be bad for the economy. Of course, as this article proves, they will know no better.
98  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Telegram accounts on: January 30, 2018, 05:01:39 PM
How are you planning to buy a Telegram account when these accounts are tied to phone numbers that would most likely stay under the original owner's control? This would effectively mean that the original owner would always be able to get their account back simply by re-verifying their phone number with Telegram and choosing within the app to close all other sessions. You would have to change the phone number on the account to prevent this, but you would need one number per account which I take it you don't have since you are wanting to buy accounts. This then brings the question of why are you even trying to buy accounts in the first place, unless you are somehow also wanting to buy the number that comes with it? If you already have numbers to use with Telegram, you could just create the accounts yourself at no cost.

You are honestly just asking to get scammed. If you are still wanting to go with it, you should probably move this to the Digital Goods section.
99  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [SELLING] .Edu Email Account for Student Discount & Amazon Prime - CHEAP - 1.5$ on: January 30, 2018, 06:29:35 AM
I see that the domain you are using to create these emails is compatible with Microsoft Dreamspark. I was wondering what software specifically do users of the domain have access to by default without having to be in a specific user group, as this is usually required to download most of their software. If you haven't tried, could you? There is some software I would like to have a second copy of in my secondary computer which would make my work for university much more convenient rather than having to use a single computer for everything. Unfortunately, they only seem to allow a single license per software product per device, which means that I am stuck with having to try methods such as this one.
100  Economy / Services / Re: Invest in Telegram on: January 30, 2018, 06:19:16 AM
You might want to provide some proof on who you are and when and how you accept payment. If I understand your post correctly, you provide services for Telegram channel advising or consulting (from what I can gather you actually do at the bottom). Where are you getting these numbers from, especially the ones about the selling cost of the channels? It seems like way too much money, but I could definitely be wrong considering that I do not know much about the scene of social media advertising (if Telegram even counts as social media). I am not necessarily saying you are lying, but you should at least provide some reference sources in order for us to understand how much profit is plausible to make through these methods. How much do you manage the channels you consult for?
