1501  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: April 20, 2019, 12:14:16 PM
You have to google "New Zealand time" and make sure it's between 9AM and 5PM there.  I tried to withdraw around 507 PM and wasn't able to.

They are very strict with the timeline and the once the window of opprotunity close for withdrawal closed you need to try again later the next day.

Remember guy do your withdrawal today. Friday(GoodFriday), Saturday and Sunday is non- working day in cryptopia so no withdrawal for the next 3 days

Unfortunately i requested a dogecoin withdraw yesterday.... now it's stuck on "pending" status so i can't try again. How long will it take to move from pending? Will it be executed on cancelled?

Thanks

It will be processed on/after 23rd April. Even I requested a bitcoin withdrawal and since all holiday's came in, they won't be processing it for 3 days.
1502  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: April 20, 2019, 12:08:34 PM

Just curious, where do you buy giftcards for 15-30% off?

Sites like bitrefill (which i consider to be the really the only legit supplier for amazon GC), charges an 8% premium...?
https://www.bitrefill.com/buy/amazon_de-germany/?hl=en

I doubt Amazon natively accepting bitcoin would incur fees that high.

https://purse.io/shop is the website that gets you 15% discount on Amazon website. If you buy from local sellers, you can easily get even more discount.

Quote
Why not? Funds can instantly be liquidated.
Especially with a market as big as amazon, i'm sure there are tons of exchanges who are willing to offer specific services to instantly liquidate funds at spot price etc.

It's not easy as you think. Converting to fiat from Amazon's end involves sending fee, conversion fee, withdrawal fee etc. Amazon will all impose it on the buyer and we already know how they treat their sellers by making them pay high fee for everything. You can easily end up paying min 10% more than now.
1503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think Doctors lie? on: April 20, 2019, 11:59:47 AM
Doctors do smoke and drink but tell you not to do it because like they can't get rid of their addiction, you too won't be able to get rid of it easily.

From my experience, doctors don't actually lie but I have noticed that when they don't know the cure and the sickness, they keep lying about what it really is and keep giving you these medicines which are so expensive to make you feel they will work. I had a simple ingrown toenail infection and had to visit like 15+ doctors in 3 months (from regular physicians to surgeons) and finally got cured by an MS in a village while none of the city doctors had any idea how to cure it.
1504  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Keep religious beliefs personal to promote peaceful coexistence on: April 20, 2019, 11:55:19 AM
People nowadays don't believe in "Live and Let Live". They are so obsessed in religion, gender, race, culture etc. that they forcibly impose their thoughts on others. I am a Christian but live in India and currently religion topics are blown out of proportion which is so disturbing.
1505  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Countries where you can easily open a bank account and cash out your crypto on: April 20, 2019, 11:52:09 AM
I asked a Dubai exchange and they said they allow bank withdrawals from non-residents too and I guess many non-residents of countries that have accepted crypto will allow you to deposit/withdraw from a legal exchange like EU and even America but opening a bank account comes with more problems as they do a thorough verification. I don't see it as a huge problem though.
1506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: April 20, 2019, 11:36:17 AM
Why do we need Amazon accepting crypto? They would charge heavy fees and plus we would end up paying more for a product when we can easily buy gift cards at 15-30% discount from many websites with bitcoins. The volatile price doesn't make crypto a feasible option.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: April 20, 2019, 09:12:18 AM
Only applications using blockchain technology may or may not be permitted but still has not passed out any law for or against it so no legalization or non-legalization is mentioned.
There’s still a chance for the legalization of bitcoin in India since there’s no final law about regulating their people from owning bitcoin. Don’t panic yet, they are still studying the potential and benefit of bitcoin to them, they will come up to a great result and Indian people will be more happy to own more bitcoin. Its not easy to accept bitcoin, they need to be fair in all aspects.

Nobody is panicking but instead many are just irritated the way they are handling things. One side they ban banks from accepting bitcoin deposits and the other hand they allow startups to use blockchain technology with certain terms. They aren't committed to whether they should/shouldn't legalize the currency and the Indians who don't know about crypto keep telling that it's illegal.

Here are few reasons why it is happening: https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/why-can%E2%80%99t-i-make-or-send-a-payment-faq3628

You are trying to send money with your card or with your balance?

1510  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: April 19, 2019, 03:00:59 PM
However, the rate is quite good.

For me I think 140 post is a lot of work in a week. A Senior member for instance goes home with $88 in a week after spamming the hell out on the forum.

They did not mentioned particular boards like other campaigns (so I am guessing except for off-topic board most boards are accepted) and for active members it's not hard to reach but yes, it would increase spam and should be handled by a proper manager. They haven't even mentioned how many spots are open.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new crypto directory - your advice needed on: April 19, 2019, 02:58:12 PM
I agree with what OmegaStarScream said. I just clicked on my country's tab and it took me to about 26 business listings of which even one I wasn't familiar with. It did not mention about Unocoin which is a leading exchange in India.

I did not get why exchanges and insurance companies fall under a category "Crypto Wallet".
1512  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit Signature Campaign (Bitcointalk) on: April 19, 2019, 02:39:46 PM
The OP is not managing the campaign (Yobit is) and plus Yobit hasn't mentioned which boards are accepted but only said off-topic boards won't be accepted. However, the rate is quite good.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etheredelta Which one is genuine ?? on: April 19, 2019, 02:19:20 PM
I stopped using both when they got hacked from which I just managed to escape but for useless tokens that get listed nowhere, I use forkdelta and if you have metamask, it prevents you from using the phishing link. Don't store your tokens there still as they were already hacked before.
1514  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Exchange Your Paypal Funds for my Bitcoins on: April 19, 2019, 01:59:15 PM
This thread doesn't belong here (only currency exchange threads need to be posted here) as you are interested in buying a gift card for your BTC. You already have a thread in Marketplace so probably use that or create a new one.
1515  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card or free SEPA acc with card available for Asia? on: April 19, 2019, 01:48:38 PM
You could check out this list (although it hasn't been updated yet): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1242788.0

Also, it's better to but virtual visa cards in Asia with bitcoin rather than debit cards as they are more safe/easy to use.
1516  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia enabled Bitcoin Withdrawals? on: April 19, 2019, 08:31:19 AM
Yes, it is now enabled, but with specific time so you should always check NZST (and the Holiday Schedule) before making a request. See the official announcent posted on twitter:

Deposits and Withdrawals enabled for BTC, LTC and DOGE. Hot Wallet is being topped up manually between 9AM-5PM (NZST) Monday-Friday. Withdrawals will not be available outside of these times or on NZ public holidays (Good Friday 19 April, Easter Monday 22 April, ANZAC Day 25 April

Thanks but if I ask my money today, it's Good Friday tomorrow, then comes Sat-Sun and Monday again is a holiday. I'll get my withdrawal directly on 23rd April. Hope they send it.
Considering the "if", I assume that you have not requested yet. It's already Good Friday in NZ. Imo it would be better if you request it on the exact date (April 23rd). That way, your btc will not be on hold in Withdrawal until then. It's still up to you Smiley

I have already requested the withdrawal yesterday. It would be better to ask a withdrawal before hand as if I request on 23rd April, they will still keep delaying the process as there may be too many pending withdrawals in the queue.
1517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] 📒⭐👑 Jinbi Token ~ The Golden ICO - Merging Gold With Blockchain 👑⭐📒 on: April 19, 2019, 08:29:21 AM
Many kyc applications have been approved. But there is another instruction coming from jinbi that posted in their official telegram a while ago.

That's to change the ETH address and many people should have already submitted their address while completing KYC on the platform. Still there's time to change the ETH.
1518  Other / Meta / Adding Telegram on the profile page on: April 18, 2019, 06:12:14 PM
Nowadays, Telegram is more popular than Skype and most users don't even use ICQ, AIM, MSN and YIM (or may be using it but they haven't added their username). Please add Telegram to our profile and also if possible, the latter options should be removed from the profiles for users who don't use them or haven't added any info in the text boxes (these options can be hidden from the profiles of such users). As now, it just looks like 4 rows are empty for most profiles.

Already suggested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5114201

Locking this one.
1519  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TokenPay is a SCAM on: April 18, 2019, 06:04:59 PM
TokenPay did not pay even a single participant of their bounty campaign claiming the manager was a scammer but that made the bounty participants also scammers because they just did not want to pay. Their investors trusted them a lot bragging about the project but this is what it has turned out to be.
1520  Other / Meta / Re: Does anyone here make a living off the forums? on: April 18, 2019, 05:57:53 PM

You can easily make upto $1000 or even more just writing articles for 1 campaign so imagine ones taking part in just 10 campaigns and writing 5 articles per campaign ($50,000++).
From what I've seen when I managed a bounty campaign, 90% of the "articles" are plagiarism. And apparently they're not used to being rejected, because when I rejected them, they quickly switched to homograph attacks and using text spinners (this was a pain to bust hundreds of those abusers, and that's probably why most bounty managers don't care). I don't think it's still possible to earn serious money as a bounty spammer.

I have written articles for only 2 campaigns (2 articles) and both paid well like $300-$400 and there are many campaigns that pay for videos too so even if I get less stakes (I've seen many well-written articles) still you get paid a lot if the campaign is genuine and you submit genuine work. It's a terrible job to be a manager as it's not just 1 campaign you are managing and since anyone can be a part, rejecting multi-accounts and abusers is another terrible job and I've seen managers working 12-14 a day for like 4-5 months. I am not talking about spammers but I've seen genuine bounty participants too who make good money just like bounty managers.

I am not even counting the airdrops as there are airdrops that paid $500 (in altcoins) earlier. There were some campaigns which paid me 30k tokens worth $100000 for just announcing their ANN. So nothing is impossible.
