^Plagiarism. OP admitted it as well:

My most of posts are deleted from 2017. I accept those posts are copy and pasted from Social Media and other sources. At that time I was not aware of such things. In 2018 I realize (I am active member of forum) that I should quote and add source name in copy posts. Like I did here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1669443.msg50895570#msg50895570

1282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Congressman Brad Sherman calls for a bill to ban all cryptocurrencies on: May 12, 2019, 02:11:14 PM
In India, we are facing these threats of cryptocurrencies being banned almost everyday. Bills being passed around almost every year but no outcome. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/policy/government-department-discuss-draft-bill-to-ban-cryptocurrencies/articleshow/69048480.cms

Till someone doesn't go on a hunger strike, no bill is passed easily.

^I just want CSK to keep calm and not give away any 4s or wides for free. Last time their fielding was terrible. Watching the match now gives me creeps.

we now know that these guys can not be trusted. I have already lost count of how many times they postponed the deadlines. I think this can no longer be tolerated ... We need to take action.

No action will help us in this case. Many projects have followed the same attitude as they are not legally bound to pay us which is why we are always at the losing end. One week has passed now and still nothing, not even an email.
1285  Local / India / Re: How Indian Govt. cheated the whole nation (NewsFlash) on: May 12, 2019, 01:51:54 PM

I don't think a lot of people supported demonitization as such - they supported action against black money and the government initially misled people into believing that demonetization would really work against black money.  As far as mixing religion with politics is concerned, I don't think any political party can claim to be holier than thou in this case - they all incorporate caste, religion or region into their policies.

As far as your wish that Bitcoin was legal tender at that time is concerned, I don't think Bitcoin is legal tender anywhere in this world. Legal tender is of limited relevance in any case - it only means that you can use it to officially retire debts.

Many people supported demonetization but just before the cameras as if they don't support that, it would make them look guilty. In my place, all Gujaratis were supporting BJP and then when notes got banned, they gave up. They were the ones buying 500-1000 notes at 50% discount and Ebay was filled with orders. Now again I can see the same people supporting him and hence dissing cryptos. I am sure most of them would have converted their cash into cryptos but now most are left stranded as RBI has restricted it. Now things have become so bad that riots are taking place during elections and all this is because of both the parties.

Due to BJP offering subsidy and medicines at half price, people are supporting him but yeh sab moh maya hai.

CSK are good in chasing but now losing the toss and MI batting first is a bit scary as last time also they lost the match and had to win against Delhi. Anything above 180-200 is a loss and if their batting fails this time, they won't manage to win the cup.
1287  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds from Binance hack went to other exchanges on: May 12, 2019, 11:40:14 AM
I don't think any of the known exchanges would be used by the hacker as these websites require KYC and they would be caught in seconds while the ones that do not require KYC also are risky to use. It's obvious they would use mixers to launder the money too so it would be almost impossible later to track these addresses. Till today I have never heard of any exchange getting their money back so Binance too won't succeed which is actually harming the bitcoin community. These coins would be dumped and we would see bitcoin prices again crashing.
1288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 12, 2019, 11:28:12 AM

Nope. It is nearly the same as requirements from campaign managers to post:
- Proof of authentication
- Application form.
Campaign managers have not been banned with such above requirements, so I don't think that they will be banned with other template requirements (I maybe wrong, not sure).
I guess you meant this campaign, that results in the perma-ban of sarul. Suddenly got banned,

Campaign managers have been banned earlier for posting such requirements as it is considered "incentive-based posting strategy" and I am not talking about Proof of authentication kind of posts.

Yeah, I meant users like sarul as such campaigns should be banned instead of the users. Campaigns shouldn't make users copy-paste the same sentence as users may do it considering it's OK but it comes under plagiarism.
1289  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Verifying a fake/genuine Ledger Nano S on: May 12, 2019, 11:21:55 AM

There is no firmware version 1.3.3, only 1.3.1, but this is too old firmware that you get it in your device. Maybe Swissborg bought it from Ledger long time ago, and such old firmware may be the cause of the problem since after 1.3.1 Ledger release three more updates, and process of updating from 1.3.1 to 1.5.5 may take a little longer than usual.

Pmalek, I know that Ledger Live is not working on W7, in my case it just crash after few minutes, or even does not start. I did not try the newer versions of Ledger Live, but it seems that Ledger will do nothing in this matter.

You are right about it being 1.3.1 and I had not check the version on my device then before updating it. I checked their blog and they released the 1.3 version in early 2017 so probably 1.3.1 was released back then. So Swissborg may have purchased it during that time only. When 1.5.5 released, there were more problems faced by users so I guess it may happen during every update and we need to update the apps also everytime. I was stuck on syncing my account yesterday and it crashed thrice. My update from 1.3.1 to 1.5.5 took 2 mins after solving the problem but it got stuck in between.

I read it works better on Mac devices.
1290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will transaction fees get in the way of the bull run? on: May 12, 2019, 09:05:52 AM
This can't be compared to 2017 so soon as then we couldn't see transactions with 5sats/byte getting confirmed while now even transactions with 2sats/byte get confirmed within few hours. Some transactions do take long but not weeks like it used to happen back then. With many users using hardware wallets, they can choose to pay a lower fee and unless the network is not congested, I don't see it as a major problem. Only exchanges would try to grab more dollars for users.
1291  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Updating crypto apps in the Nano S on: May 12, 2019, 09:01:28 AM
Thank you for the suggestions Lucius!
So to sum up. I should uninstall all three apps first (BTC, ETH and Stellar). After that install them each one by one, starting with the BTC app?
And this is a 100% safe way to do it. Ne coins can get lost in the process or for any other reason?
Sorry for asking, I just never did that before.

No coins will get lost and you can start with any app. http://prntscr.com/nnh7pk (Source: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006523674-Install-apps-on-your-device).
1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 12, 2019, 08:43:39 AM
Some of those users really deserved the ban as they copy-pasted content to get merit, to increase their post count in signature campaigns and most were aware of what they were doing. However some users did it while participating in bounty campaigns and ICOs wherein they followed rules that required them to do so and even though it is wrong, I feel such participants should be given some warning and signature bans instead of being permanently banned. In such cases the managers and project managers should be banned just like it happened earlier when the rule of many bounty campaigns was to post in the ANN thread.

Sometimes users mistakenly post email content on the forum without a source link so I don't know if that can be termed as plagiarism as in such cases citing the source is tough.
1293  Other / Meta / Re: Brace yourselves, massive number of brand new & newbie accounts waking up lately. on: May 12, 2019, 08:28:18 AM
Result of the perm-ban spree taking place this week. Most must be alt-accounts of those users.
1294  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for testing bitcoin mixer [banned mixer] and leave an honest review about us on: May 12, 2019, 08:20:13 AM
I received the payment and just sent my coins to the mixer's address. Will post my review when I receive the coins. Sorry for the delay.

[banned mixer] review:

What is [banned mixer] (beginner's POV): [banned mixer] is a website that mixes your crypto coins and sends them from addresses that is very difficult/impossible to track. So this way the source from which you received the crypto coins can never be tracked.

How does it work: The steps are as follows:
1. You need to visit https://[banned mixer]/
2. Then click "Mix My Coins" which is a blue-colored button.
3. You'll be redirected to the page: https://[banned mixer]/?mix. Enter your 2 "receiving" address/s: one is mandatory and second is optional.
4. Click "Mix My Coins".
5. You'll be redirected to the page where a "sending" address would be displayed. You need to either scan the QR code and send bitcoins or send them manually. Note: The amount should be >= 0.001 BTC and should be max 50 BTC. You will have 168 hours to send the BTC.
6. Once you send the BTC, you will notice this text below the QR code: "A transaction is detected, the sum is X.X BTC, awaiting confirmation"
Optional: You can choose to download the "Letter of Guarantee" which is a button displayed below "Bitcoin Mixer 2.0" which shows the PGP Signed Message. You can even close the page as you wish or bookmark it if you need to visit it later. You can also choose to mix more coins for which you need to follow the same process (steps 3-6).
7. Your coins will appear at your "receiving" address within a time interval of 6 hours.

My experience: I tested the website yesterday and since it was the first time I ever used a mixer, I was a bit clueless of how it works. I thought it would require some tedious steps of creating an account or something more but it was not the case. The website had too much information on the home page which made it look little bit confusing as there were no steps mentioned of how to go about. I had to figure it out on my own and hence I added the steps above (hope they are useful). I entered my "receiving" address (noticed you could add one more address) and then sent 0.0015 BTC to the address mentioned on the website. It displayed the text "A transaction is detected, the sum is 0.0015 BTC, awaiting confirmation". This message did not change even after refreshing the page and it kept displaying "awaiting confirmation" after receiving about 20+ confirmations. Note: This transaction got confirmed in less than 5 minutes. I wasn't sure to close the page or leave it open as I felt I may require to revisit it in case I don't receive my coins. I left it open for 3 hours and was ready to wait for 2 more hours till I receive the coins but to my surprise I saw a micro transaction after 3 hours in my wallet and after few minutes, the second and last one arrived. The fee was 50+ sats/byte which was more than sufficient to get the transactions confirmed in time. However, I did not know they would be sent in parts as I did not ask for the same. End of the story is I received my coins after waiting for 3 hours but still the website kept displaying the same text as before as if it was still "awaiting confirmation". I downloaded the Letter of Guarantee which showed the PGP Signed Message.

Pros:
1. Transaction fee added is good enough.
2. Letter of Guarantee assures anonymity.
3. Mixing coins does not require too many tedious steps to follow.

Cons:
1. No explanation on how to mix coins was given on the website.
2. Even after the transaction was confirmed, it said "awaiting confirmation". It does not show how many confirmations does it need to send out the mixed coins.
3. Sending micro transactions was not something I prefer as it sometimes increases the fee while sending out those coins. Users should get the option to choose if they want to receive the coins in one transaction or multiple transactions.
4. Time taken was long. As some users would require to receive the coins urgently, this may be an issue for them.

Some recommendations/changes required:
1. This text is grammatically incorrect "Enter your Bitcoin forward to address below:"
2. A user can be given an option to create an account wherein he could receive the Letter of Guarantee via email then and be notified of his transaction getting confirmed and that he received the coins. While downloading "Letter of Guarantee" it's better if the text document is named the same instead of "LetterGuarantee".
3. Add steps on how to use the website or a video tutorial if possible.
4. A user should know how many confirmations are required to confirm the transaction instead of displaying "awaiting confirmation". Till now I can see the same text even though I have receive the coins and the transaction is confirmed on blockchain. When the transaction is confirmed, the page can be refreshed and also he should know if it's safe to close the page.

Final Verdict: Overall, the mixer is good and I couldn't myself trace the source. I feel that unlike many the 5% fee charged for my transaction is fine as I can see that the mixer needs to send the transactions through various addresses where the fee that need to be paid for the transaction to get confirmed is high so in cases where the transaction amount is below 0.1 BTC, the fee is fine else a fixed fee should be charged.

Also, without any proof that his translation work is fake, it doesn't matter if he is a Nigerian or not.
1296  Other / Off-topic / Re: Poll: Which religion is the best religion? on: May 11, 2019, 03:40:33 PM
Animalism, which is not included in the list. The best thing is Animals don't belong to any religion, caste, culture and never differentiate. They are loyal and will always be as they have no brain but only a heart. Sadly they are the most ill-treated species.

"....." is plagiarism as it's posted without a ref link. I am glad photos are not considered as many images posted on the forum are not copyright-free.
1298  Other / Meta / Re: Just another case of BAN . Help @hilariousandco @theymos on: May 11, 2019, 02:59:07 PM
Checked the other thread and got to know somebody is running some bot to detect copy-pasted content posted years earlier and hence in 2 days, there have been 700+ bans and looks like the number will increase as many users don't even know which content is termed plagiarism and instead of quoting the message, some users use "quotes" and such content is also termed as copy-paste as ref link is not added. Some users were paid to post some message for a campaign and all the users got perm banned.

1300  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Trains arriving late on: May 11, 2019, 02:24:37 PM
I have recently been to Mumbai-Pune for Audit purposes. In Mumbai, local trains run exactly according to schedule. I used to take local trains from Andheri station for CSMT and Churchgate and every time train was on time. If they were showing 3:19PM on app, train arrives exactly on 3:19PM, not even a minute delay. So I don't think intra-Mumbai travelling is problem at all. However, inter-city travelling was surely painful. I remember that we had to catch Passenger train from Pune station at 11:15PM for Lonavala but the train came at 1:15AM. It was quite painful to spend 2 hours on railway station with sleepy eyes after the lethargic day at Audit. So yes, railway system in India is quite pain-in-the-arse. That's why I usually prefer flights when travelling over long distances.

I have always never boarded a train which has arrived on time. Only Churchgate trains leave on time but never reach on time and passenger trains are even worse. I also prefer flights but last minute flights are 5 times costlier than the normal price unless you book it 3-4 days earlier. I travel just 1.5 hours but need to wait for 2 hours on the platform and plus they halt on stations for like 10-20 mins so it takes about 4-4.5 hours for such a short journey. Metro is the best but they are taking forever for the construction. In between the bridge fell down too so safety is NIL.
