Thank you, but I know that I will never see my Bitcoin :-( Sad Life. And yes, before all seems to be ok about this exchange, but as you can see, if you search on Twitter by searching " hitbtc kyc " or " hitbtc withdraw " , there are an amazing number of similar case, for small and BIG amount.
Sometimes they solved the problem, sometimes no. It's a gray scam/targeting scam.
So now, i want people know what happened on HitBTC. Maybe they scam me, congratulation ! Now, it's the time to spread the truth.
UPDATE : After threatening them with lawsuits in Hong Kong and divulging the matter to the media, my account was allowed to withdraw!
Great to hear that. Sometimes threatening works as they can't just refuse to give our own money back. So did you withdraw it to your personal wallet? If so, I am really happy for you

Hello any news?
Hi, there is no news. It seems that the team abandoned their obligations and decided to just disappear. For a long time there is nothing The team did not earn enough money in the ICO and hence the bounty participants won't get paid.

After cryptopia trying to fool traders by promising them to return their funds and then disappearing into thin air, I wonder what Binance plans to do. I don't trust any exchange now and they just want to fool their users by saying they lost funds and make bigger promises to get back their lost funds before they shut down completely.

Humanity doesn't exist anymore. It's just I, me, myself. People are filled with so much hatred that they find religion a good excuse to get rid of it and this is what makes them feel better. The ones who are emotionally weak and told that whatever injustice happened to them, happened because of their religion and that's it.

Ok, I will never see my fund and now I know. I said I paid in cash 50% on Bitcoin ATM and 50% from a man . They sent me this : https://i.imgur.com/FNHlE3s.pngMy answer : https://i.imgur.com/1xm4VVv.pngI can't of course. And they know it. Thank you to support me but It's finish for my case, I just lose my only Bitcoin pffff. This is absurd. Never seen hitbtc asking so many details and for what they need it? Now I'm scared to use this exchange as they can't be asking notarized documents and so many details for such a small amount. I have withdrawn over 0.4-0.8 BTC last year when the price was double without any issues. They never caused any problem but now things have changed. I am so sorry for what has happened to you. I can just pray you get your funds back.

Price of everything goes up except salary. My salary also increases by just 1-2% and I don't get even proper bonus but can't help as it's fixed income. The interest rates are reducing which is another pain and property prices increase by 10-20% every year. Here Engineers start off with a salary of 22k INR ($313) and this is the amount lower middle-class Americans earn almost every week. With this salary, nobody can manage a family of even 4 people and so many families have been doing so.

Yes, there will be an investigation that go up to months just to be sure with that. What are the coins that you left there? it's already a long time when many had warned to pull out your funds there.
Cryptopia never told users to remove their funds and it was only recently when they enabled bitcoin withdrawals while altcoin withdrawals had not started. I have CAPP, COR and few other coins that are still having live trading markets but now won't be able to get them back ever.

Some bounty campaigns have been managed very well wherein they distribute tokens in portions (percentages) and this keeps the participants happy as well as doesn't affect the token price much. Also, some campaigns have allocated ETH instead of their tokens to make the token price stable like Exchange Union. They offer huge amounts in ETH and till today the token price is pretty stable.
As the market today is really bad, distributing the tokens after months of listing them on exchanges won't be worth as with/without bounty programs, the token's price reduces as even investors turn to P&D.
Now projects have started swapping their tokens so I feel it's another way of helping their token's price.

I don't want the self-moderated feature to be removed as because of this feature, I could keep my thread clean else when I first tried to sell in that section, people started harassing me asking me to sell 60-70% below the market rate and then telling me I am wasting my time and trolling then. I am glad this feature helped me to keep the thread on-topic and I managed to sell my gift cards then. Same goes for Currency Exchange section. People sometimes start advertising their own product in our threads.

Thanks guys. Learned my lesson. Guess I won't be able to get back my Btc. Damn hacker. Hope karma come back to them. Erikalui, Contact the website to get the hacker's address blocked....you mean cryptonator.com? Yes, cryptonator is a wallet and by sending proof that he hacked your coins, you should manage to get his wallet address blocked. Go here: https://www.cryptonator.com/contact

I just read it and WTH. They won't allow users to withdraw their altcoins which haven't been hacked? How can they just shut down. I have funds worth 0.03 BTC or even more on the exchange.
The Press release on their website says this: " The liquidators are also working with independent experts and the relevant authorities with regards to the company’s obligations." By "company's obligations" they probably meant paying off whatever amount in crypto a customer had on the exchange before shutting down (as well as settle the outstanding claims made by creditors, employees, shareholders, etc). The whole process could take months, even more, so you might want to sit tight and wait for a long time for the whole thing to resolve to see if you can get your coins back. They can't just shut down as the balance many users had in their accounts were not hacked and forget about paying the hacked funds to customers, they did not even give us our own money. Unlike Binance that paid users even though they got hacked and that too in a week.

This is a nice contest and I wished to participate as well but looks like nobody is taking part and minimum is 15 participants. I don't know why nobody is interested.

So you mean to say I'll not be getting one of the shitcoin from cryptopia which I've there? I really don't care much because the amount I have there is very small but wondering about others who have large amounts. No. I had 0.06 BTC (in altcoins and BTC) on the exchange of which I manage to withdraw the BTC balance of 0.03 but the remaining amount is gone forever.
|
|
|
Good riddance. It looks like they're in the process of liquidation. There will be new exchanges being born like every month so I don't think anyone will miss that exchange except for those who loves to trade shitcoins and of course those pump groups. Time to look for other exchanges to continue their scheme. Yeah and people who have lost their money also would love to see their money gone. How insensitive!

I don't think they did trade with customer funds and lost because bitcoin pumped more than anticipated, at least i hope so.
They did let people withdraw %85 of their btc balance after the hack and even they are liquidating the exchange, they should let people withdraw whatever they can. I am one of the lucky users has only lost around 200$. It is not a very small amount but compared to what can happen, i can accept this loss.
I lost around $270 but this will be my 4th loss as I have been scammed thrice earlier. I luckily withdrew 0.03 BTC from the exchange but now all my altcoins are gone including COR which I had to swap.
|
|
|
Now I can say that they are scammers. They are not even giving us our own money. Fortunately I withdrew my BTC and I lost 0.03 BTC in altcoins now since they shut down. I feel more bad for users who lost more.

You have already posted your TX ID here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034315.580 so you can close this thread as the TX has been accelerated. If by any chance it doesn't get confirmed, the bitcoins will be sent back to your wallet so don't get worried about it.
