1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 15, 2019, 01:38:01 PM
Today RCB vs MI in Mumbai so without a doubt MI is going to win. RCB's chance of reaching the top 4 is almost NIL but hope MI can go above Delhi with 5 won matches. RCB is totally dependent on Virat and there's no team effort to be seen. Feel bad for Virat as he deserves a better team. He should just choose another team next IPL if he got the chance.

Hope they manage to get the emoney license as soon as possible. They are also anticipating Ebay acceptance but it seems it would take long till this happens.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop paying crazy tx fees(!) I paid only 1.9sat/B when pool asked me for 100+ on: April 14, 2019, 08:34:54 PM
I use exchanges and they all charge huge fees like 0.001 BTC and more but they end up paying just 5 sats/byte and adding like 100 txs along with mine. But still I noticed my transactions get confirmed faster even with such low fee while earlier my txs used to take 3-4 hours for 1 confirmation. My tx recently with 13 sats/byte took 3-5 mins for 3 confirmations.
Well with exchanges you have not much choice. You are already paying very high fees.

By the way, unless you are regularly trading your Bitcoin for alts it's not recommended to keep your coins in exchanges. I hope you already know about the hacking stories of several exchanges on the way of these 10 years of Bitcoin.

Always keep your assets safe. Electrum is a good option or go for a hardware wallet.

I know exchanges and online wallets are not safe and I don't keep money on exchanges any more but have some coins on Hitbtc as the price is too less of the altcoins and withdrawing them means paying more than their worth. I use Ledger Nano.
1564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: yobit about to take off ? on: April 14, 2019, 07:51:18 PM

They do selective scamming, you'll have no problem with a small withdraw but once its a few bitcoins or so they will run into problems.  What kind of an exchange has a dice game on their front page?

There are countless scam accusations against Yobit.  They are known to list straight up scams and their team remains anonymous.

I have withdrawn big amounts too from Yobit earlier and they have always paid me. Even other exchanges do selective scamming but till they keep paying users, we can't call it a scam website as if out of 100, it happens with 10 and not with 90, there may be some reason.

They paid you does not mean that the site is safe. I have number of examples where the withdraw are stuck for quite long time and their support is very slow to response. They have not scam yet but we should be careful with our funds on such exchanges.

I did not say it's safe which is why I myself withdrew my money as after Cryptopia hack, I don't trust any exchange. I just tried to withdraw and it worked. I can't give a guarantee that it will work for all as most exchanges today are shady. I have only 0.01 BTC which was remaining.
1565  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 14, 2019, 07:22:50 PM
Merit system didn't affect you since you're a Legendary when it's release. Do you think it's good to have a lot of Legendaries that has no talent, skills, ideas, and knowledge about the blockchain especially in the bitcoin community?

Merit system did not affect me but there were many things that affected me on this forum from the time I joined till now and the forum was much worse and it's quite better now. 99% members out here have alt accounts to hide themselves. Legendary members according to you may not have any talent or skills but why do you feel they don't deserve being a Legendary? Why is it such a big thing being a Legendary? For me, Legendary is just a rank and I did not chase down the rank or be desperate to get it nor did I nor anyone else earns it. It's not a degree or a certificate to be proud of. This is just a normal forum for me so I don't really appreciate my rank as much as others do.

There are many Signature Campaigns that accept even such members if they have been reputed and quality posters and I have seen such members even becoming staff members so nothing is impossible here but still people keep complaining. Hence, according to me nobody actually gives so much importance to the rank except for Signature Campaigns.

I'm not saying that all of the new generations will become like that if there's a chance, most of them will just focus on the bounty and earn a profit without any contribution to our community.

Also, can you define what comes under contributing to your community mean? Sharing guides or something?

Quote
The merit system wasn't created to make people's life worst but to act as a barrier, the legitimate and strongest individuals can enter easily instead of those bounty hunters and shitposters.

Now this merit thing was introduced to increase quality posting but I have seen nonsensical posts getting merited as nobody has to justify it just like positive feedback which was and is a craze even today.

Quote
In your generation, I can say that some of the Legendaries are not quite good and just making money through this platform without any threads created for the development of the community and the blockchain.

What's my generation and your generation like lol

I have been using bitcoins since it was 5 years old and now it's 10, that's the main difference. I have helped many members who were clueless about trading and were trying to be trapped by scammers. And everyone in the world wants to make money which is not wrong and this forum gives you and many others to share information you get. It's not necessary that a Legendary has more information than you have and vice versa. Yes, there may be things you don't understand and know and I may be able to answer them which I do when anybody asks me.

Quote
I'm expecting that if you're a legendary, I should learn something extraordinary from you because you have the experience and you already said that it takes 2-3 years to be a Legendary, that's quite long to have a high level of innovation. If I'm not seeing you as an information giver, do you think the title of being Legendary is worth it?

Being a Legendary member, I have information that I share at times with the community but doesn't mean that I have hardware knowledge etc. as I haven't been into mining or using hardware wallets or created my own coin. When I was a newbie, I was scammed of $200 and that happened on this very forum where I couldn't find the one who scammed me. I just learnt to be more alert and find scammers. There was a time illegal goods and accounts used to be sold openly and that's been stopped to an extent now. Most trustworthy members have gone to jail and turned out to be the biggest scammers. So what kind of extraordinary information are you searching for from Legendaries here that you can't find in so many bitcoin-related guides available online? This is a forum used to share information and everyone can share whatever information they have and no qualification is required.

Does this mean my KYC was approved? I forgot when I submitted it but they said they'll distribute the tokens on 22nd April.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the current situation on the market? on: April 14, 2019, 06:17:22 PM
I don't think the market situation is going to improve in 2019. It has been horrible since March 2018 and I don't see any positive change even for a month. The price of BTC increase from $3000 to $5000 and then drops every second and ETH has never managed to reach $200 for quite a long time. I'm just losing hope now.
1568  Local / Press & News from India / Re: 35 Countries Are About to Regulate Crypto Exchanges Like Banks (including India) on: April 14, 2019, 03:17:29 PM
India will never regulate it. If it wanted, they wouldn't postpone the hearing for over a year.
1569  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Tech Mahindra using Samsung's Nexledger Blockchain on: April 14, 2019, 03:15:45 PM
They are still investigating it's use and I think it will still take time for them to implement it. It's not so positive as even earlier many companies were planning to use blockchain technology but nothing was ever implemented.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost coins on Liqui, anyone able to get coins out? on: April 14, 2019, 03:04:50 PM
They had sent an email long back before they closed down. I used to trade a lot on it and glad that long before Jan, I had already stopped using their site due to their ridiculous fee. They should still pay your money as I don't believe they don't have access to their ETH address. Keep asking their support and hope they pay you. 14 ETH is still a huge amount.
1571  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bounty Managers on: April 14, 2019, 03:00:10 PM
I vote for Amazix as they have a team that really responds to the members of the bounty program and not leave them stranded and even though some of their campaigns haven't paid due to the market condition, the ones that paid have paid a big amount.
1572  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: yobit about to take off ? on: April 14, 2019, 02:55:53 PM
Yobit is still working and paying. After reading this post, I just realized I had some money in the exchange and I withdrew the same now and they paid me.

If they did not reach their soft cap, I don't think the team will pay. Still hoping they announce a new sale but I don't think they will Sad
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 14, 2019, 02:35:01 PM
Suresh Raina without getting out is back in form and now again won the match against KKR. In any case the runs were too less to chase down. Sunil was the only one who bowled well while the team was disappointing. The best thing about CSK is that it's not just one player that performs but all put in their contribution for the team, hence the result.
1575  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: April 14, 2019, 02:16:20 PM
When will the payment be sent for last week?

You can claim your last week payment via this link https://stake.com/?coupon=signaturecampaign110419

In the future try to keep a eye on the Telegram group, the link is always posted there. Smiley

Can you give me the link to the telegram group? I can't find it in the OP.

I don't see a link to the group, probably because it's a private one. Try to search in your Telegram app "A New Kind Of Campaign", if you're added in the group then you're in the signature campaign.

Found it. Thanks.

@Stephen: Thanks for the payment Smiley
1576  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 14, 2019, 02:13:04 PM
When people have taken 2-3 years to get the Legendary rank, why should 1000 merit be too much to ask for? Not to forget, a person can get merited by many people for just 1 post as well. It's like a free bonus. However, I don't still agree with the merit system but people always have a problem.
1577  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to file tax? Can anyone help? on: April 14, 2019, 02:06:54 PM
The best thing to do is just visit a good CA who has information on crypto taxes and don't ask for advise online. People can misguide you.

1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What has become of the whitepaper document on: April 14, 2019, 02:01:33 PM
A whitepaper used to be viewed as an important document and many big projects like Boscoin and Hacken had whitepapers explaining the details of their project and the information shared was useful to the investors but now many ICOs just share garbage in their whitepapers and nobody cares to read them. Wise investors also are not paying attention to these details and they just care about selling their coins at a higher rate, nothing else like the future of the project and so on.
