1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO IDENTIFY SCAM BOUNTIES on: April 24, 2019, 02:29:31 PM
OTT Whitepapers, fraudulent team members, no transparency, no way to check up their real office and them not abiding by the laws of their country are some ways but ultimately you can't be sure of anything. Even reputed bounty managers can't. Most projects claim to raise millions in their private sale and never disclose the details and this pulls in many investors. Then finally they claim they never reached their soft cap and vanish without reimbursing the investors so everyone ends up on the losing side. I feel to some extent the manager is responsible for this as they get to earn huge dollars and ultimately don't care to checkup the team first.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any idea about cryptopia on: April 24, 2019, 02:23:34 PM
I have not used this exchange so far. But as far as I have a knowledge about it, the exchange is reputed and a good exchange. After suffering a hack some months ago, it was shut down for some period. However, it opened again recently. There maybe some technical reasons or others that the exchange is suffering and due to this reasons, there maybe problems withdrawing or depositing. The exchange is good, according to reports.

You didn't use it however you claim it to be reputable, good and safe. Give me a break. They cut 16% of clients BTC, 100% of clients ETH and 30% of LTC after the "hack", also, before the hack they launched assetylene.com exchange. You need to have serious cognitive issues to make such statements after such facts.

They cut off about 14-15% BTC and also said they will rebate all customers who lost their coins. I had no ETH balance but may lost all of it and my BTC was stolen so hoping they will pay us. Other exchanges that were hacked did nothing to payback their customers. Cryptopia is atleast handling it slowly.
1464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell bounty token at a loss? on: April 24, 2019, 12:59:01 PM
I have sold my bounty tokens before they got dumped badly on exchanges so I don't consider it as a profit or loss because I just check the ICO prices and the price of my coin at the exchange. I feel bad for many tokens as they were pumped by 500% after I sold them and when I could earn $100000, I sold them at $120 while others reached $10 from $1000. Can't say which tokens will reach what value and hence it's better to sell them as you earn them.

You are saying it's better to sell them as you earn them but in your case you sold some bounty rewards for $120 when you could've made $100 000? I know this is probably 1 project out of 1000s but for me this would be reason enough not to dump everything as soon as I get it.

That's because I did not buy those coins and earned them so in this case I only get profit. Investors on the other hand have to look out for profit and the coin which I was talking about was PRL that had only been listed on Etherdelta and when it got listed on bigger exchanges, it pumped like hell. It was during early 2018 and since then selling coins has never been profitable. I dump everything right now as the market won't be able to recover for a long time till may be 2020-21 and I can't be so patient till then as my country has anyways stopped banking all cryptos.
1465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] on: April 24, 2019, 10:21:03 AM
Huobi asks for KYC else they restrict the amount you can withdraw. These are the withdrawal limits: https://huobiglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000074411-Withdrawal-Limits

I don't think Cryptopia should be added so soon as they haven't enabled deposits/withdrawals of many coins including ETH. Etherdelta and Tidex should be added to the list.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any idea about cryptopia on: April 24, 2019, 09:50:37 AM
I was holding some good amount of token and ethereum in cryptopia still we couldn’t able to withdraw from exchange hope it will be sort out and we will get our fund back . If anybody having insight any genuine please let us know in this thread.

I withdrew my bitcoins last week and got paid yesterday so the site is working. They are yet to enable deposits of other altcoins which will take a lot of time (may be by June hopefully) but I also have some CLM balance which they need to payback.
1467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 101 Total Earthquakes Reported as of Today (April 22,2019) on: April 24, 2019, 09:40:04 AM
6.1M Earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh today. Most places don't have buildings to able to withstand over 7M so hopefully the magnitude was still less. Philippines lost 16 people on 22nd April. May their soul RIP.

I ahve seen buildings being able to resist even 8.3M so hopefully they build buildings with a higher resistance. My building doesn't resist even 4M and last time, it created cracks in the building after which they just repaired it. 4M earthquakes are so common in Maharashtra.
1468  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: April 24, 2019, 09:30:56 AM

bitcoin is currently fluctuating so it can not be considered either a rise or a fall. these fluctuations are of course on the rising part so we end up with a little bit higher price as time progresses. as a result you shouldn't really take these rises and falls seriously until we break some major lines. for now i am looking at $5900 as an important target to reach.

$100 (1%) is also a huge dump considering the recent trend of bitcoin. I have seen that once the price drops, it keeps dropping. It took 4 months to increase by $1000 and even if it reaches $6k, it may be for an hour or two and then again we'll see a huge drop. I won't be able to sell my coins so fast as even exchanges will have huge sell orders due to the dumping. On most exchanges, I can see more sell orders than buy orders which proves that people just want to dump their coins rather than invest in BTC.

1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin one of the most shady coin? on: April 24, 2019, 08:51:33 AM
Satoshi will definitely have the most bitcoins as he was the developer of the crypto and other altcoins came after this first cryptocurrency. Having premined over 1 million coins doesn't make it look shady as even Ethereum was 70% premined (72m ETH) before being launched. Also, most of the coins haven't been spent.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 24, 2019, 08:33:13 AM
CSK has only 3 matches left and have won 8 matches but their run rate is below MI and even Delhi so if Mumbai manage to win all 4 matches, they may reach top 2. I want Kings XI to reach top 4 but their next matches are all going to be tough. Looking forward to today's match with RCB. RCB now are like wounded lions fighting till the end.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Spectre.ai information - Trading platform now LIVE! on: April 24, 2019, 08:07:31 AM

I think devs does not matter their cryptocurrency, they already have self exchange. Just used ICO as a financing option.

Which self-exchange? They are only listed on Etherdelta, DDex at the moment and don't have a good exchange.

As per their recent medium article they are paying SXDT holders a dividend. Is it for ICO investors only or for all holders?
1473  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: April 24, 2019, 07:52:46 AM
I waited for almost a year for this price so I am selling my coins that I bought/earned at that rate. But currently it looks like it's again dropping due to price correction and now the price is back to $5.5k and alt coins including ethereum are all negative.

It shows: $5,549.30 USD (-0.30%)
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain on: April 23, 2019, 03:41:40 PM
I am holding this coins from long i am the participant of this ICO i was having huge belief on this coin still i dint see any growth apart from the time its listed . then after its price dropped horribly . Any action of listing on good exchanges as well as promoting in community.

I'm also holding since June 2017 and they promised that the token price would be atleast $0.02. Now the price isn't worth much and I can't see them listing on new exchanges anytime soon as per their telegram chat.
1475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fraud Prevention For Newbies. on: April 23, 2019, 03:39:34 PM

1. Never do business with other newbies on this forum

I was also a newbie and people did business with me and did not get scammed. This doesn't apply to each and every newbie. A must is the use of escrow.

Quote
2. New account created for illicit business on the forum.

This can be a high alert point but then ranks don't matter.

Quote
3. Low contributing post by users in the rank of Newbies and above

Spamming is not the same as scamming.

Quote
4. Questionable username

I don't get this point as even the most trustworthy users choose horrible usernames but that doesn't make them suspicious.

Quote
5. Out of Newbie rank into Lending (loan request)

Yes, they are always tagged by DT members.

Quote
6. Out of Newbie rank into codes selling and gift cards among others

I was a newbie and started selling my old gift cards. It doesn't make a newbie look like a scammer.

Quote
7. Users claiming to be female with female pix on their social media

I don't thing gender makes such a huge difference and this is just being a sexist.

Quote
8. Users asking for handouts

They anyways aren't trusted.

Quote
9. Never allow the use of escrow outside the forum.

Users try to trick buyers to use their own escrow and one should never do this as they end up dealing with an impostor.

Quote
10. Bogus investment profits.

Sure shot scammers.

I would like to add my points based on my experience.

1. Don't trust with newbies while dealing with a reversible payment option and in this case even escrow can't help.

2. Don't trust users who ask you for an ID proof (unless they are reputed but still avoid) or make you use a screen recording software.

3. Don't deal with newbies outside the forum like on skype or telegram as it's better to deal on the forum publicly so someone could warn you.

4. Always check their telegram or skype ID or payment address for any previous scam accusation.

5. Always check whether the user's email address/password has recently changed as it could be a hacked account.

6. Don't install any unknown software on your PC or visit suspicious links.

7. Before sending money to any address, double/triple check it as once money is sent, it can't be recovered. There are software that can change the address if you have by mistake installed a virus on your PC.
1476  Other / Meta / Re: Forum moderation question on: April 23, 2019, 03:20:34 PM
Moderators do check reported posts before deleting them.

My one post was deleted wherein I asked why Yobit is allowing negative trusted users and I don't get why it was deleted so I don't know how moderation actually works. In Politics section, so many users start targetting users and I used to earlier report personal attack posts but they were not deleted because they were considered on-topic posts. Hence my reporting accuracy decreased. I was told that only posts wherein no useful conversation is taking place and the entire post is just a personal attack, such posts will be deleted. I am still not clear about what's considered an off-topic post in a thread.

1477  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit Scam Accusation megathread. "Normal" modus operandi or shady practices? on: April 23, 2019, 09:30:52 AM
I haven't seen any exchange that hasn't had any scam accusations against them. Hitbtc owner has negative trust on the forum but still the exchange is running fine and has paid me over 0.4 BTC per withdrawal without any delays and their support also responds in time and same goes for Yobit though there have been many accusations against them. Cryptopia also was considered scam when they got hacked but they paid me along with other users

None of the exchanges show any liability towards customers and just refuse paying huge withdrawals without giving any reasons but if they do selective scamming, that raises a doubt so none of them could be trusted completely nor considered 100% scam till they scam all their users.

Yobit has freebies and launches their own IEOs which is shady and they have many shady options like dice system and so on but they are still processing user's withdrawals. Many coins are still being traded on their exchange and at normal market rates and still many ICOs consider to list their coin on yobit.

Note: I don't say Yobit is safe but it stands among the exchanges that have been considered scam like hitbtc, cyrptopia, bittrex and even coinbase in that regards.
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck Bitcoin Transaction on: April 23, 2019, 08:38:14 AM
I had set up default block confirmation within 25 blocks.
But 117 blocks passed and still no confirmation.
That's why the fee was low. And I have seen a lot of post like this created on before 2018. But there is no post like this in 2018 and 2019 that's why I am creating this post.
I have tried to use https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
But they are showing either limit exceed or low fee.
In this case what to do? Any suggestion?

Have you tried using antpool: https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm?m=savePrioritiseTx

I used it last year to get my transactions with 5sats/byte confirmed and they confirmed within 10 mins. Fortunately this year I've never had or heard any problem with low-fee transactions and hence you won't find much posts about this issue.

If antpool doesn't work, you can try contacting Quickseller as he used to help confirm transactions first for users.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What do people think about bounty now? on: April 23, 2019, 08:34:01 AM
Even project managers who have experience don't get to know which bounty is scam and I have participated in such campaigns and ended up earning nothing. Bountyhive and other platforms mentioned too don't evaluate the projects based on the trust factor. I participated in Stem Cells Innovation of Bountyhive and the project looks very promising but they have yet to show any positive progress.
