The limit of the withdrawal in the second round is 0.003BTC and you get around 0.00001 - 0.00002 BTC everyday. It is not a lot but it takes only few seconds to do it and when you imagine the possible value of Bitcoin in the future - it could be really profitable.  Cool

I am getting 0.00000039 BTC approx every day and not 0.00001 and 0.00001-0.00002 ETH. Only first day I received 0.0000092 BTC but after that I get to claim 0 USD everyday. I now have 0.23 USD  in my wallet.

Did India have to choose between Jadeja and Ashwin and they chose the former one? I am missing Ashwin and felt he would stand a chance but he is not playing. Also, Raina has been long forgotten even though he's a good batsman and better than Shikhar. Shikhar did not perform well in the Australian series too except for one match. I miss the 2011 team that had better players than this team.
1183  Local / Regional Languages (India) / Re: ICO pe paisha lagana bandh karo on: May 23, 2019, 07:26:33 AM
^IEO matlab Initial Exchange Offering. IEO ke tokens exchange par beche jaate hain jaise Binance, Kucoin ke apne ICO hote hain aur niveshak sirf exchange se hi coins kharid sakte hain.

Aisa nahi hai. Aap scam ICO se asaani se bach sakte hain bas depend karta hai ki aap kitna risk lena chahte hain. Agar aap surakshit (safe) reh kar invest karne ko dekhenge to ICO investment bhi trading jaisa hi hai. Main neeche Binance pe jaldi mein huye kuch IEO ka data dikha raha hun, is photo mein aap saaf dekh sakte hain ki yadi in ICO mein invest kiya jaata to niveshak ke liye bahut laabhpurn hota.

Ant mein main kehna chahunga ki ICO ke concept ko sire se nakaarna sahi nahi hoga. Crypto projects ko paise ki jaroorat hoti hai aur ICO unke liye paise jodne ka sabse saral madhyam hai. Yeh concept niveshak aur project, dono ke liye bahut faydemand hai aur apne aap mein abhootpurn hai.

Yeh kuch hi IEO/ICO 2018 aur 2019 mein jinhone badhiya pradarshan kiya lekin agar hum unki asafalta ka dar dekhen to pata chalega. Ab tak 350+ ICO conduct hue hain aur unmein se lagbhag 30+ safal rahe hain (Ref: Cointelegraph aur coinschedule) aur ab jahan ICO fail ho rahe hain, IEO ki maang bad rahi hai. Phir bhi hum keh nahi sakte ki kaunsa safal rahega aur kaunsa nahi.

No doubt that now BJP has the maximum votes and Modi will be the PM now. People in my area are such strong Modi bhakts and a word criticizing him makes them question your intelligence. Have never seen such craze for a political party earlier except for the members of that group and now these supporters are worse than fan groups of celebs who come to personal attack other members. Don't know now which ban is awaiting us but surely nothing positive. Acche din aaye hi nahi Sad

1186  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Don't use web wallet on: May 22, 2019, 01:09:48 PM
Most of the newbies are likely to use Coinbase or blockchain.com for receiving payment. I am gonna share a true story with you. Don't use this anymore.

Why not? I've been using Blockchain and MEW for quite a while now and everything's quite fine. I've never never had a problem with those two though I only use them for small transaction.

MEW got hacked months back and my Blockchain got hacked when 2FA was enabled. You never know when these two wallets can get hacked as they are online and if big exchanges like Binance's hot wallet can get hacked, we stand a very little chance. For any amount less than $100, these wallets are OK like a temporary one but not for bigger amounts.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN](ICO) HARD CAP! LeadRex- lead generation one-stop shop platform powered AI on: May 22, 2019, 01:00:41 PM
Many people are not following this project since there has been no activity for long time and there are going to miss the swap. This is not proper way of swap if the protocol is not changed then upcoming swap should be automated based on snapshot from blockchain. Else there should be no deadline for swap as they have been away from scene for long time.

All projects are following the same route of not informing users of the swap and with the result the tokens become useless. It is not automated and you need to follow the project regularly. Atleast LeadRex informed this on the bounty channel.

I seriously don't care about the tokens now. They are treating us so inhumanely and keep delaying the distribution and asking to complete KYC for a year now.

So finally we will get a mail regarding the token swap after 2 months.
1190  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Don't use web wallet on: May 21, 2019, 06:01:42 PM
Not many use electrum but for small amounts, these web wallets are fine while it's better to use Xapo as I have never faced any problem with them yet.

In your case, it's a problem from Coinbase and there have been many cases reported that coins sent to their address have not appeared in the wallet so I guess you need to wait longer for their reply. Not a problem for you as you have sent it to the right address.
1191  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-15] Crytopia Opts for Liquidation Binance for Upgrade on: May 21, 2019, 05:45:39 PM

nobody said not to use an exchange at all. but you definitely shouldn't be storing money there---using them as wallets---as many people do. the longer you hold your funds on an exchange, the more likely they are to be locked up or lost in one of these hacks.

just deposit coins-->trade-->immediately withdraw. that's the best you can do.

The issue here is that we can't do anything "immediately" as deposits and withdrawals on exchanges are not instant and then you need to trade them not at a dumping price as prices keep fluctuating. This atleast takes 2-3 days and sometimes a week in my case, I tried to withdraw my coins from exchanges and noticed they were charging half the coins as fee (which is not at all a feasible situation). We don't have many trusted exchanges and the ones that call themselves reputed are charging high fee which discourages the user from withdrawing their own coins.

Also, like Vishnu.Reang, I also have coins that have their own desktop and android wallets and when my online wallet got hacked, I stopped downloading wallets to store the coins and then exchanges became the only option.

Since now none of the exchanges are trusted, I have stopped accepting altcoins that come with their own wallet and asked the managers to hold them for me as I have no other option.

There is another solution(s), such as using DEX like Bisq or atomic swap, though not a lot of people prefer doing that way. You also miss important points from figment post that essentially said use exchange like an exchange, not a wallet.

So many people are storing their crypto in exchanges and never withdraw it due to various reasons, and that's why when the exchange got hacked they're rekt af. Sadly most of us learned the hard way, and that's why I believe case like Cryptopia or any other exchange won't stop unless customer also realizes their own responsibility.

Bisq and atomic swap require downloading a wallet which is not a solution. I agree that exchanges cannot be used as a wallet and I guess many don't even store their coins there but actively trade them. We can't blame them too as they keep depositing and withdrawing and such unseen hacks make them lose their money. Active traders are mostly at the losing end.

1192  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: May 21, 2019, 03:26:22 PM
Well... I don't see a spreadsheet in the thread but if you have this user on your campaign, you might want to consider removing them, they give you a bad credibility if you can't notice this spam-fest,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1929411;sa=showPosts

The deterioration of this forum is sickening, don't keep rewarding those bots/spammers.

He is in the spreadsheet and his earning are almost NIL (50-90 cents) with 20-22 posts every week and he makes all his posts on one day in a week and disappears the rest of the week and all are one-liners. Sad :|

Just a question: Does Ledger Nano S support all ERC-20 tokens that myetherwallet supports? I check this link and some of my coins are not listed here but are supported by myetherwallet.
1194  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism should remain a zero-tolerance bannable offense on: May 21, 2019, 02:32:11 PM

Plagiarism is not a simple mistake in most cases, it's a conscious decision that people make in order to increase their post count and make money off of that.
Frankly, anyone who engages in copying other people's work without giving proper credit for it, should get banned immediately without any exceptions.

I don't agree that all did it intentionally and it depends on when and why did the user post the content. It's not like these members kept doing it and are getting excused for this. Everyone has got either a temp-ban or sig-ban and this was because they did it years ago and not recently. Some did it once 4 years back so the perm-ban wouldn't be fair as they have contributed to the forum. Although it's wrong, they deserve a temp-ban in such cases.

Quote
We've all seen the excuses in the recent mass ban appeals, first they claim to have no idea why they were banned and then they claim it's 'such a hard punishment' for a 'simple' mistake.

I say bullshit to that, everybody should know that you don't just copy someone else's exact words and pass it off as your own.
There's not a single good reason why long-time members who've plagiarized in the past should be given a second chance. (in my opinion at least)

The members claiming it are taking the forum for granted. Nobody can be unaware of a simple fact that you can't copy-paste other people's posts.

Quote
I do have to add that some people might actually 'plagiarize' by accident and those cases should be treated differently.
By that I mean, someone adding a quote from a website to their post, but forgetting to add the source.

Something like that is pretty easy to spot, if they've also added enough unique content to their post and placed the quote in actual bbcode quotes.

The moderator hence is checking all posts to see if the user did it by mistake on intentionally did it and if he is a repeat offender. Some members did it without realizing it is plagiarism and since they have been here for years and done it like 3-4 years back, the 60 days ban is fine. I've also done mistakes of posting emails without adding the source link and just using quotes. Theymos made it clear that this is not considered plagiarism.

Quote
Mind you, I've made some stupid posts myself when I was still a newbie, but it never crossed my mind to just copy/paste stuff to increase my post count.
Most people don't plagiarize, because they're just decent persons, so I'd highly recommend not giving any free-passes to those who do plagiarize.

Heck, I'm actually also against the signature bans (instead of banning them) that Bitcointalk gives to high-profile members who've plagiarized, but offer value to the forum.

It's all in the hands of the mods of this forum and I feel even mods are confused of who deserves what punishment. I may not like a person who has plagiarized for any kind of benefit but here the time matters as they are not repeat offenders.

Also, please note that in some cases the member's account was hacked and the hacker plagiarized posts to get the owner permanently banned. People are taking advantage of this mass ban.

1195  Other / Serious discussion / Re: My MEW wallet hacked... please help me on: May 21, 2019, 01:36:06 PM
OP, did you manage to contact Mercatox? They should atleast manage to stop the hacker from withdrawing the coins and same goes for Etherdelta too.

What do you mean contact? his MEW was hacked, from there, he already lost his coins.
If he contacts Mercatox, how can he prove the ownership of the coins?

Although he can sign message using his MEW address, but the hacker could do the same, it's a waste of effort of the mercatox and I'm sure they would not bother looking at it.

There are many ways of proving ownership of a hacked address like owning the keystore file which they hacker won't have as he hacked the private key and if the user had an exchange account, he can also show that as proof including what Mercatox asks for. And Mercatox also uses this forum so the address posted on the forum also can be a valid proof. Atleast a dispute can be opened and the coins could be kept on hold and the hacker won't be able to withdraw them.

1197  Local / India / Re: Corrupt government officials and the suicide of a bitcoin trader on: May 20, 2019, 08:30:25 PM
I don't see corruption here but rather the police officers were trying to threaten the bitcoin trader who must have convinced them to invest in bitcoins. I don't know what benefit he got by doing that. He could have just filed a complaint against them rather than commit suicide and leave his family at risk.

That's horrible. There must have been a contract between the cop and the trader since the trader was well aware of the fluctuations of the price.
However, it's ridiculous that a cop is blackmailing the trader. Now it will too affect the public in a negative thought about bitcoin.

Bitcoins are like stock market investments and people can't take it for granted. People take their lives as they can't take bear these losses and hence they shouldn't have even invested in a risky thing.

1198  Other / Meta / Re: Improving the current ban situation on: May 20, 2019, 08:05:11 PM
I am a part of another forums that give warnings in the forum of percentage but that percentage is only visible to the user so once they spam, it increases by 20% and once it reaches 100%, the user is permanently banned. Some give it as 3 warning levels and the same could be adopted here too where plagiarism gets a user a 30-50% warning while spamming gets 20-30%. This could be included with a message that informs the user why was he given a warning and for which post. It would help to reduce unban appeals too but it definitely puts a pressure on the moderators as the amount of spam I've seen on bitcointalk cannot be ever compared to other forums. A bot can be used for these purposes too.
1199  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-15] Crytopia Opts for Liquidation Binance for Upgrade on: May 20, 2019, 07:57:36 PM
that's why it says "coinbase has an actual insurance policy on their hot wallets". Wink

coinbase said they keep <2% of funds in hot wallets. an insurance policy covering the other 98% would be totally unaffordable. like binance, they're planning for the contingency that their online systems are penetrated by external attackers.

if coinbase, binance, or any other similar platforms have their cold storage compromised, customers are completely and utterly screwed. there will obviously be no recovering from that. and this is why we don't use exchanges (even highly reputable and capitalized ones) to store money. that's what bitcoin wallets and bank accounts are for.

Not using exchanges is not a solution as many altcoins are listed on exchanges like binance etc. and if anytime you need to exchange these altcoins for bitcoins/ETH or even you need to convert it to fiat, you can't do that through any hardware wallet. You need to pass through these exchanges and that's why we actually have no options than to immediately liquidate it via exchanges and then transfer them to our banks. Exchanges too take 1-2 days to transfer.
1200  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-15] Crytopia Opts for Liquidation Binance for Upgrade on: May 20, 2019, 05:42:22 PM

coinbase has an actual insurance policy on their hot wallets. so coinbase and binance stand in stark contrast to entities like bitfinex, who apparently pays the vast majority of net income to shareholders.

when bitfinex got hacked in 2016, they were left completely insolvent. and now that regulators have frozen $850m of customer dollars, they are completely insolvent too. it's amazing that people keep putting faith in such an operation.

Coinbase has insurance only for it's online wallet and saves the rest in an offline wallet which has no insurance. Same is for Binance, Circle, Xapo and Gemini which are protected by insurance but there is an upper limit which can be covered by insurance and it's not for all the funds.
