Great news, just one question before I commit my GPUs to mine your coin.
What was the payout per block on the first 4 blocks?
"pre-mine : 4 blocks to test client and pool"
Thanks.

Quick question i'm mining with an i7 4770k SC at 750khash/s and and i'm receiving 4 to 8 coins on http://mol.mine-pool.net/ using minerd_qv2.2_sse4. How is it possible for these addresses to be mining so much? K2wnH6XJ3xoHy56oaKNWvaPSR7Mew3BN8w 149.27415 MOL Jp5m9R8t1X8uLVhWwe7Ny9bSavbAyEUGGY 72.78257 MOL K4HETnWLAWw8WUPKNi7dG74dz6FWMgXtFz 60.41719 MOL Is it some how possible to mine using multiple computers on the same address, or are these guys using an insane cpu setup / gpu (smelter)? These guys are probably network admins pointing all of their work computers at the same address, or botnet operators. the gpu miner for Quark isn't that much faster. I think 4x faster than a cpu or something like that.

Alts are dropping since the BTC China thing. I would go for more established alts. Peercoin, Primecoin, Litecoin, etc. If you want to get cheap stuff then go for IxCoin. I would trust that one over DOGE any day of the week.
good luck.

This is a re-announce in a more standard form in a more standard place, it wasn't pre-mined at all. I annihilated the test-blockchain to avoid such a scenario. I understand that the definition of the term is subjective, and a reddit mention 2 days ago (which had more of an impact than I anticipated) meets some of those definitions.
You Announced on Reddit before doing so here? Coins need to have pre announcements here. Give us a day or so.

I have these and they give me 740Kh/s each. Constantly and very reliably with this config:
--scrypt --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 11200 -g 2 -I 13 -w 256 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-75 --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 72 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-powertune -20 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale

Galaxycoin - The client needs a fix, it has a message about checkpoints. The Dev has stated on the public forum that he cannot support the coin at the moment and that someone else should. I do not believe there was a premine either.
|
|
|
so why the fork?
Because after the Molecule fork the dev lost his ~5,5% premine. With Atom he'll be able to keep it. So MOL=> fair coin now Yup MOL is the fair one. It even had kind of a pre-launch party with the pre-mine fiasco. But the Dev saw the light and forked Molecule. Then Atom was born from the dust. lol..

|
|
This coin will fail without involvement from the developer.
Knock knock..you still there?
It already failed with the fork, Atom > Molecule client and the premine, so i hope the dev has got some good plans It looks like the Dev is updating the main post with pool info and a forum coming soon. I think its just one guy so maybe he needs some help? The coin is only a few days old so give it some time.

3) And what is the best software do mining the coin you suggested? (cpuminer, bfgminer, cgminer, etc...)
Did you know these programs are flagged as malware with antivirus software? Make sure that you have access to the Antivirus Console server. Then add the folder you put the miners into to the exception list. Also, in group policies add the firewall rules for your miners.

but mining a less than one day coin with low difficulty one would expect a reward two days now. any news about a pool? the latter is down i think. I have 0 coins after 30 hours with 5 PCs. Just imagine, there is one block planned every 6 minutes, but in currently it's more like 15-20 minutes a block. If 3000 PCs are mining, your chance to get a block a day is very tiny. A pool is the only solution, but someone would have to code a new miner first. edit: Stuck at block 260 since 30 minutes. Anyone else too? I stopped mining this after seeing how difficult it was to mine a block. On top of that the heavy pre-mine turned me off it.

Are there truly any TRUE only CPU mining coins out there? I know a bunch of coins have tried it but it seems like people are always finding a way to use the GPU because there is money to be made.
From what I understand any algorithm can be made to work on a GPU. Its just not worth doing in most cases.

Securecoin is worth mining but you need alot of hasing power to get any decent amount.

I have a big problem with this coin.
"All balances from the original MemoryCoin as at block 8820 are transferred into the new blockchain at Block 1."
So what you are telling us is that the old version of memory coin is some how as valuable as this impossible to mine version? As valuable as 10 protoshares? I don't think so.
Bad call on that one, then again I'm not surprised.

I Vote for Image #1. I don't like the silver border around the coin in images 4-8.

I had problems with the Sapphire R9 290 cards. Had 6 of them and similar problems as posted earlier. I did manage to get them to hash at 810Kh/s but very unstable. I ended up sending them back for R9 280x vapour-x cards. Which seem to be clones of the 7970 dual-x. They work flawlessly at 740Kh/s.

Looks fine to me. Its just a very difficult coin to mine. Some VPS users have pointed their quark miners here lol
