My guess is that you guys that can't afford mining hardware create coins in the hopes of getting a bunch during the insta-mine. That is why there are never Windows binaries released on launch. Only the source, that you have already compiled and pointed your shitty video cards at.
I have an Idea for a new coin. Don't make one. Leave it to the pros.

Given the success of Bytecoin (BTE), we launch tomorrow December, 26, 2013 another bitcoin carbon copy.

The first cryptocurrency designed to be given away.
The benefits for the cryptocommunity as a whole have been discussed before. A second and now third bitcoin clone of bitcoin will coexist in a cryptoeconomy in which voting will happen using hashing power.
As the oldest miner in this forum, i strongly suggest that you all take a second and third look to "Alt" cryptocurrencies.

Apparently those things are not needed anymore in a launch. All you need is a cute picture of some animal and you get 1GH of miners within 6 hours of launch. So Many So Gay! Just watch what happens with NYANcoin. |

Those cards will overheat in that case and fail in less than one year. Have you tried running 3 cards plugged into a motherboard? The temps go beyond 90. Fry Fry Fry.
If I were you I would add a the cost and add liquid cooling for all 3 cards.

The wallet is hard to get working with solo mining for some reason. Maybe its just me and I had used ports that were already being used by other wallets.
The RPC port that was initially posted does not work because it is the same port the client uses for P2P. You need to use another port. Any port will do that is not in use.
So far no fork. The CATCOIN that I was mining last night forked almost immediately. I wouldn't be surprised if different pools were mining on different block chains. Likely there are many forks of the catcoin blockchain and anyone mining it has a chance of loosing all their mined coins if they are on the wrong blockchain. I jumped off that one once I saw that crap.

Yes, thats Diamond. It kinda died of but now has been rejuvenated so to speak. Its currently trading at $2.00 but has potential to be worth a lot. Block reward is low and total coins is like 200K. |

I was soloing and it looks like I'm on my own blockchain?! lol it was okay there for a while but now after the difficulty changed I started to find all the blocks, one after another. Anyhow. I'm out, this coin looks forked more than once. Good luck to you all.

Ya know what would be cool, if we could add ALL of our coins. Including all the dead, not traded, etc coins. That way when they do get on exchanges... chaching! Surprise! the next login is happy times  .. Also it would be a great place to track everything, worth something or worthless. |

Pre-mine = Insta-Fail
There are other quark clones to mine that are not premined. Why would I mine this when I could mine Molecule, Frozen or even Seconds FFS! All new coins, all quark clones not a single one pre-mined.

I've got a r9 290 and can get about 950kh/s out of it undervolted. I can only get 820Kh/s from mine, its the Sapphire R9 290. Would you be willing to share your cgminer settings? |
