I can make 25 MH right now with ~50 R9-270x cards. In fact, I am on the way there. Power is under 200w per card, but I'd rather pay a power bill than let someone else hold onto my money for 6-9 months.
Just think of how many coins you can mine with 25Mh over the course of 6-9months+delays. Just think of the value of those coins if you held them for that long. |

No censorship here please! That would defeat the whole idea of an open source currency. No secrets, everything out in the open. There are members who keep an eye out and are quite vocal when it comes to new coins. Pre-mined coins are usually called out in the first hour or so of launch. Insta-mined coins are pretty much all of them. The only way I can see getting around that would be low reward at the beginning with a properly working difficulty re-adjustment.

Looks like mine except I don't have the rpcconnect= line. I have no problems soloing. Also check your firewalls. Try turning them off to do a quick test. |

If you are looking to save money then forget the 5 card config. That one will need two power supplies or a really big expensive one.
So then you go for the 3x7950. Best bang for the buck. Get an 850watt PS that will do or better get a 1050 corsair just to make sure. Next month you expand the rig with another 3 identical cards and an additional 850w ps.

Didn't you read? Thats what causes the coin to fork. How would you feel if you were on the wrong blockchain along with all the other guys in that pool and you all end up loosing your coins. I lost 800 Catcoins that way. Sucked!! I like the idea of solo miners strengthening the network while pool operators figure out how to get their pools working. Fair is fair, and nothing can be more fair than everyone starting at the beginning. |

I like what Nullu said there and I think its going to happen. From reading the posts here it looks like the Dev wants this coin to succeed and be a community effort. Sounds like he even has a team together. So we have a 24 hour Pre-Ann coming soon I hope. I'm impatient!
I like the idea of no pools at start. If this is what prevents forking of the blockchain at the beginning then I'm all for this and I'm sure everyone will agree. Release the source/windows binaries/mac binaries(would be cool) at start. Let the community make its own pools.

2 290's running hot but fast  I have a question for anyone about this screenshot. I am newish to scrypt mining so this has been on my mind for a few weeks now. I have R9 290 cards and R9 280x cards. The 280x cards never seem to have stale shares. I often get stale shares and job not found on my 290 cards. Why is that? Can I do anything to avoid this? Does it matter? If anyone could chime in that would be much appreciated. |
