If you are doing KGW from start and a pre-ann then you don't need low block value at the beginning. Its actually very detrimental to the coin. I would go with one or the other, not both.

1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|Trade on poloniex and bittrex on: May 02, 2014, 01:44:28 PM
Well, i understand this , summercoin.conf go in wallet.dat directory, i change only user and password on him, nothing else, the wallet must be open,  and after  24 hours ,i will start to get stake interest. Am i right ?

Correct.

1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SummerCoin|POS|Trade on poloniex and bittrex on: May 02, 2014, 01:22:12 PM
The 10% hasn't started yet, were almost there. The network is at block 13418. The 10% starts at 13441. Any time now. Also the coins have to be in your wallet for a specific amount of time before they start to stake. The original post says something about 1 day but I don't know if that is the case. Only 10% of my coins are staked.

For those who get the message minting is suspended, you need to type wallettpassphrase <yourpassword> 9999999 to unlock the wallet so it can mint POS blocks.

Not all your coin stake at the same time because you receive it in different timing. The coin only stake after 24 hours of block time. Each batch of coins u receive is in 1 block (1 transaction = 1 block. Each block have different time therefore different stake time.

aaaah - lightbulb moment!

1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLT] Roulettecoin | POW | CPU mining | New algo | No premine | Launched! on: May 02, 2014, 11:19:36 AM
I've got a python module ready for testing .. I'd just need a cpu/gpuminer with your algo implemented, let me know or pm me when you got something, so I can set up a pool.
Note that Roulettecoin has 88 bytes long block headers, there are two extra fields reserved for future use. They shall be set to 0 now. We created an initial unoptimized standalone cpuminer: https://github.com/roulettecoin/roulettecoin-cpuminer. During testing the miner we found a bug in wallet's getwork implementation that was preventing extra fields from being set to 0 when sending new work via RPC. It's fixed in current source, so anyone wanting to use getwork shall recompile. We'll make a new binary release later today.

Great, will you be compiling the stand alone miner as well?
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HungerCoin Dedicated to Ending World Hunger, Anonymously on: May 02, 2014, 11:07:54 AM
you guys are freaking me out!

I'm the only one who doesn't have sharecoin in his sig!!!!

what is the deal with sharecoin?

They are trying for free and fair distribution. I'm all for new ways of getting coins out, something has to be better than using $1000.00 of electricity/month.

1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HungerCoin Dedicated to Ending World Hunger, Anonymously on: May 02, 2014, 11:05:08 AM
Well, a great idea. Wish all the politicians on the world would relocate their budgets from army and defence to food production and supply. Then we would have our own paradise, or at least we would be one step closer to it.

Cannabis seeds are an excellent source of protein and omegas. Cannabis crops can be harvested up to 4 times / year in some parts of the world. The resins are medicine that cure most diseases, the fiber can be used for clothes that are superior to cotton. Every part of this plant is usable, it grows like nuts, yet most people believe its evil. Gullible fools is what comprises most of our society.

Politicians make it illegal, have their stormtroopers shoot and kill innocent people using it. Jail them and destroy families. All for financial gain. If you think a politician is anything other than your enemy, you sir are a moron.

And honestly since decentralized currency threatens the stability of like every bank and lots of government branches, they very well might respond by trying to replace this currency with their own centralized version of HungerCoin's function (feeding people). Two heads are better than one I guess.. And yeah politicians aren't great people usually, there's a much higher percentage of sociopaths in politics. But if you channel their greed it can save lots of lives... But with recent weed reform laws (statewide at least) it might be possible to buy byproducts from medical pot grows and use them to make cheap clothing/shoes/blankets and distribute them. Stimulate personal freedoms and rights by giving more money to the legal pot industry (further aiding legalization as well) and then donate them to people wherever. Transfer fees/premine/%of mined coins (all of this totally publicly visible and available of course) could go to the pot farms as well as charities. HungerCoin has some expanding horizons it looks like...

I really like your ideas regarding the reuse/recycling of waste material from medical grows. Pretty smart if you ask me. It sounds like there is a viable market for that already.

Well I managed to mine 3700RLT on a first gen Core i7 before the difficulty jumped. Not too bad, thats 74 blocks. That instamine was fun, thanks devs.

Mining with the wallet on the same rig mining another scrypt coin lowers my cgminer hashrate by almost 50%. This doesn't happen with any other coin I mine using a standalone CPU miner.

Thats what I'm doing. I have one wallet on each of my rigs and one on this computer.  Grin To fix the 50% problem just mine with 1 less CPU thread.

How do you change threadcount on the wallet debug window?

setgenerate true 4 or whatever amount of cores you have.

Thanks that worked. I use gen=1 in the wallet conf to automatically start mining. Is the any way to set the number pf cores automatically using the wallet conf file?

Yup, that one is easy too. genproclimit=4

Looking forward phm is a great team, dev. Start slow this build up could be huge

Some of the best coins start this way. No premine is also a great thing! no standalone miner so no botnets yet. Kewl!

Wow 30 Lire/day with 60Mh and the premine was 50%.. wow. I'm out, good luck.

I'll join you and have a beer instead  Cool

That sounds like a great idea, I'm heading home in 45 minutes, cracking a cold one the moment I get in.

We are at block 278. Reward is 1/10.
At block 300 reward will be 50 LIRE

Okay 300 Lire/day, what do you guys think the opening price will be? If the IPO guys dump their 1 million Lire I don't see it being that much.

Well i went as far as step one but just failed connections.

=/

Ill pay someone some monero if they help me

Thats normal, you should download the blockchain from the first post and put it into %appdata%\bitmonero then run monerod.exe. It will sync way way faster. Normally it takes over an hour.

After its synced run the create wallet command in another dos window. Refresh it and start_mining 4 or number if threads you want to use.

How much is the block reward at the moment?

17.something

1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LIRE][X11] ELECTRONIC LIRA - LAUNCHED! on: May 01, 2014, 05:10:19 PM
only one miner of 10 can work. Some error-s in source
rpcthreads=10

Do you mean solo? I'm okay, using the windows binaries. 5 Miners going to 1 wallet.
