The Chinese seem to really like CPU coins. How can we get them interested in this? I think that is the ticket.

It was blatantly pre-mined. The source was in the hands of a few individuals at launch time. They had it for over 30 minutes before anyone else. All that the dev had to do was post the source at 1pm and things would have been fine. Windows users could have mined in the pools until the wallet came out.

Well, actually, EVERYTHING should have been ready yesterday. THEN make the announcement. THEN launch at the exact time adverteased.

Huh? You had some shares on multipool yes. But no one else had the source at that time. Multipool had the source, blockchain started, mining 45 minutes before anyone else. In that time there were 504 million coins mined.

On top of that, the only part of multipool that crashed was the frontend. The backed kept going as you can see by the blockchain explorer. There is also the possibility that it wasn't multipool mining and it was in fact the developer soloing.

That is a scam unto itself. New coins should payout crap for the first 10,000 blocks or so. Giving everyone ample time to get on and then start mining the real reward blocks. There is a new one coming out called Darkcoin that is going to take that approach. I just think the dev is relatively new to the scene and that one will be a flop as well.

Yes we know that. The intention here is to discourage pre-mined coins by announcing them and letting them die. If the community chooses to do so.

The file size is too small to be a wallet. Can anyone else confirm that this is in fact a virus? Likely a wallet stealer.

Why don't you coin creators wait until you have an actual working product before announcing a launch date. Seriously, whats the big deal waiting another 12-24 hours to launch your coin AFTER you get it working properly?

If you want to mine a coin that has barely been touched and is a Quark clone you would be better off mining Kthulu Offerings.
