Let me get the software/builds sorted out and up first, then I'll take care of the rest... There were a fair bit of folks who started mining, and I don't want them to lose their work either, so maybe a huge giveaway is the way to go.
Give away 11 million coins? no. Just start again without a pre-mine. Make an ANN as to when the new binaries will be available. Give everyone at least 24 hours notice. Make it a fair launch and the coin will have a much better chance at success. If you want bounties ask people to donate coins for bounties. I can't help you with the technical stuff but I really like the idea of torrents being available to anyone anonymously. With no "pirate bay" server for the authorities to take down.
I also seen you posted something similar on the bitshares forum. I think you should keep this as a DAC. Its a great idea that I think will take off. You just have to make the client stupid friendly and get people using it asap.

I have some Sapphire R9 280x vapour-x cards and these settings give me a constant 740Kh/s to 750Kh/s depending on the card. They are all mounted with a fan on them and average temps are 70C.

I tried to get this going. When I get to the part about copying and pasting the code.gs into a new script. I get an error on saving. Syntax Error line 63.

I'm sure there are a bunch of "addnode" lines that aren't important/useful right now, but whatever -- it's running. Problem I'm getting now is with having multiple PCs connect to this client. I have eight that are working fine, but I can't seem to get more than that. I'm running with the following command line parameters: frozen-qt.exe -server -maxconnections=250 -rpcthreads=8 Is rpcthreads somehow limiting the number of connections? Default is 4 I think, and before changing that to 8 I was having issues with more than 4. However, "threads" usually means CPU cores or something, which is a bit confusing. I'm going to bump up to 16 and just see what happens, but if anyone else is having this same problem and knows the fix, pass it along. I'm also going to try removing the extra rpcallowip lines and just go with rpcallowip=192.168.1.* and see if that works. Update: rpcthreads appears to be the solution. Also, I'm getting a crash of the frozen-qt client every time I tell it to quit, which is a bit of an irritating bug. Now I just need some way to monitor my collective hash rate for FZ mining! Hahaha.... Holy crap so thats how you do it! lol!! Here I was setting up a wallet for every 4 miners (stupid). CPU threads are different from the rpcthreads. I'm going to see if I can max it out. Did increasing it get you more miners connecting to your wallet? |

Thanks for the pre-announcement, that helps prevent instamines and thanks for no pre-mine. EVERY coin release should be like this. The only time its not is when its a scam coin. So far this one looks good. So you think it will have no value? we shall see..

Wish I knew about crypto world when Quarks were launched. I would have surely mined some and stored them forever in hope to bring it in Top 3. Nonetheless, I'm a fan  So mine Skeincoin now and hope for the best. |
