184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Passionate gambler keeps the gambling boards rolling even after retirements on: December 13, 2023, 05:55:00 AM
It's more like a fun tournament rather than gambling given that there's no money involved and the prices are physical items, I'm assuming that the games on the tournaments are gambling games given that the participants are gamblers and the host is a old gambler. The man is really generous offering prizes, it's absolutely on the fun side, recouping memories and enjoying the time that he can see his old gambling friends.

To be honest, I want to be this man someday, living a slow retirement life and enjoying the remaining time we got by doing the things that we like and spend time with the people who is important to us.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest risk of P2P trade on: December 12, 2023, 08:55:12 AM
If you are talking about centralized P2P trading with a fiat/crypto pair, there's a bunch of risks. One biggest risk I can think of is the scammers that are luring on a pool of legit traders. I've encountered clever scammers before that almost got me, they can make the transaction a legit one, they're good that's why I noticed somethings wrong before I release the money to the scammer. They are taking advantage of the P2P platforms, they play with the the strict rules of an exchange what makes them brave LOL.

Another risks is outside the exchange factors like bank transfers which can be reversed or sometimes has problems in sending which obviously distrupt the transaction. There are also people who are buying crypto on P2P using hacked bank accounts, my friend experienced this and it is a very hassle scenario because it took him days before he finally resolved his situation.

Newbies and people who don't pay attention are the one who I think is the target of the scammers on P2P since everything on an exchange might be over whelming for them.

My recommendation is to take it slow, be wary of the procedure and process. Don't trust especially if the one you are trading has a not so high p2p trading score.
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we need to have a stop loss if we are 100% positive about a trade? on: December 12, 2023, 07:43:16 AM
I don't think that it can really improve a trader because of not using stop loss. Sure, that are traders that don't really use stop loss but I personally think that it is advisable thing to do especially of you seeks improvement. Stop loss is the one that we absolutely won't want to get hit that's why I think setting it up is one of the result of the technical analysis that we traders do. We hitting the stop loss means that there's still a room for improvement on our technical analysis or research.

I myself don't use stop loss all of the times but it is only when it is a long term trade. Though I think it is still better to have a stop loss given that there's a black swan ones in a while which can possibly be a cause of liquidation.

At the end of the day, it will still depend on us on what we think will do good for us. Our money our rules.
187  Economy / Gambling / Re: are bookies fortunejack.com & rollbit.com trustworthy with larger amounts ? on: December 12, 2023, 07:22:19 AM
I don't do bet with a high amount but both casino/bookies has a good reputation in this forum especially fortunejack which is one of among the oldest casino I know that is still active in this forum up to the current date. Personally I do bets with Stake because it is my preferred casino/bookies but I'm confident that both of the casinos/bookies will have no problem about the withdrawal. There's a lot of high rollers and big bettors in the casino mentioned, that's why I don't think that there will be a problem with the withdrawal. As long as you abide their rules and they didn't detect a issue, everything will be fine,

Also make sure that you are ready for a KYC, there's a high chance that you will get flagged by all of these casinos with the amout you are betting.
188  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: December 12, 2023, 06:13:34 AM
Those who complains about them are mostly from Outside Bitcointalk and have just searched this forum while looking for some place to have support from their cases and we can prove that because of their newbie account and have no idea how to file a proper complaints not even know how to post rightfully .
I also believe that they have full out their scamming in bitcointalk but yeah they might be somewhere in other forum or other sites that has no idea what they are and who they are.

I think they are down for advertising on this platform as well as other platforms. As a result ew users are not being engaged on the site. And that is why there is almost no new scam accusation against them. I think new scammers decreased or they are not getting this forum after getting scammed which is usually happened.
absolutely correct mate , maybe they are now desperately looking for new place to scam people because they are already burned in Bitcointalk and other platforms that they used to get victims.

we have bring a Big help to the gambling community in Online casino for keeping this thread up to serve as warning for possible scam victims.

Im happy not seeing new accusers here meaning less and less are becoming victims now.
To be honest, the time that they choose to advertise here makes me wonder if they really are serious given that they have a bad name at that time. The chance that they can recover their reputation or gather new players in this forum is abosultely low but shockingly, their signature campaign they had lasted for months.

As far as I know, they have heavy advertisements outside this forum, they are also paying majority of casino review websites to shill their application which makes the reviewers a lier.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: I need financial advice for my careless uncle. on: December 11, 2023, 09:08:35 AM
Greeting to you all. I seek financial advice from you guys. My uncle who happens to be a contractor has been winning several contracts, but when the money comes all his plan becomes void simply because he I'll end up going to parties, drinking, womanizing and living a luxirious lifestyle. Although he is married and had kids but his youthful exhubirant has not yet left him even as his married and it's causing alot of problem in his family. When he has no money he thinks straight but when money comes he becomes unpredictable. He has really sufferd before he had this last chance he made over $5000 now he is seeking for financial advice, so I decided to bring up to this humble room to hear from you guys.

So what do you guys think he would do with such money to financially stabilize without going back to zero point?
Your uncle simply doesn't have a concrete goal just like a youth that just want to enjoy the life without thinking about the consequences a head of each of his actions. He needs to have a life advice and not a financial advise since all of his actions where messed up due to his action into seeking entertainment.

I think your uncle needs to learn a heavy lesson to adjust his age and resposibilities to his actions, it would be hard for all of you especially on the benefinciaries of your uncle.

You and his family is the one that can give him a lesson and make sure that he learns about it. Make him realize about his actions and teach him to balance things out if possible. It's a hard thing to do but your uncle needs help in my opinion. Your uncle will the one be suffering at the end.
190  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 11, 2023, 08:50:54 AM
There was a regret on me before when I was still actively doing gambling everyday to the point that most of my income where being used as my gambling funds, in short, I was an addict. Today, I can control myself and has a complete perspective on gambling. To be honest, I'm quite grateful that I learne gambling because I gained many experiences, friends, life lesson and the achievement I have in my gambling journey. Let's say that I'm a satisfied gambler that just gamble for fun today, my gambling experience I have for years of doing gambling is now a funny story that I can share with my gambling friends.
191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With gambling, it's probably easier to quit cold turkey on: December 10, 2023, 06:32:25 PM
Not possible for a gambling addict to quit slowly. If gambling is a problem, the best is to just quit. After he quits, he can start to gamble again after a year. If he sees that he is still gambling in a way he waste money on it, he can quite again. This is how I stopped my gambling addiction.

But if the gambler do not quit and not able to quit, he needs something like rehabilitation program or medical consultant.
It became possible when I did quit slowly. I tried to quit gambling instantly and I experience a withdrawal from it and gamble more as a result. We may all have different experiences but quitting slowly works on me. What I mean of quitting slowly is years of gambling but gaining a progress of having a good decipline until I can control myself of not partaking in any gambling activities if I want to. I can consider myself as an ex-gambling addict because the strategy works on me.

We all have different life status and I think it is better to try and try until you find the best suited way for you to quit gambling.
192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I see many users talk about trading but does anyone here actually trading? on: December 10, 2023, 05:18:50 PM
I have a knowledge in trading and experience in it that's why I can say that I can confidently make trades but it doesn't mean that I'm earning much. I can earn much more on other things like in my job that's why I don't do trades so often, I'm only doing trades when there's an opportunity like having a massive fundamentals update or buying and selling on the prices that I know I can get a profit.

I sometimes comment on trading threads because I can relate and can contribute relevant knowledge and ideas but it doesn't mean that I can perfectly execute it if I was tasked to do.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: December 10, 2023, 04:38:50 PM
i will never prefer any kind of online earning way or trading because none of them will not be sustain in your life,
i always confident with offline work and it's safe to survive in real life, you can take online income as just a part time nothing more.
offline work is very hard work if you judging with online jobs.

But the reality is those who works from home or atleast has a hybrid set-up gains more income than majority low paying physical jobs. Of course there are high paying offline jobs loke having a good profession but remember that people had transitioned to work from home set up and those who still works at home really loves it. There are also traders who are trading for a living lime consistently doing trades everyday, not everyone can do this but the really good ones can given that they have a risk management at their end.

At the end of the day, it really depend on the work you are doing and your income on that job. It is just depending on your perspecitive on what kind of jon would make you stable and earn more.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no reward on: December 10, 2023, 02:49:29 PM
Everything has a risk even if you are walking outside your house. In investment, every asset or any type of investment has risks, there's no such thing as riskless investment. If there are riskless investment, everyone should had done it. The only thing that you can do about risks is managing it, making it as low as possible for your desired profit. Bitcoin as an asset has it's own risk even it is the most recommended asset in this forum to buy, there are certain risks that not everyone can handle. If you understand the risks of it, the poasibility that you can earn from having bitcoin as an asset is high.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING THEIR PRIVACY SERIOUSLY. on: December 09, 2023, 11:40:45 PM
As new crypto users come, it seems that people  doesn't care about one of the characteristic of cryptocurrency which is privacy. They only comes here to earn profits and not care about the privacy they should have by using crypto. It's alarming to see people who use crypto that normalize KYC procedures, as they think it is the way it should be, just like what banks do all over this years. I like privacy and I also like having the convinience along with it.

To be honest, I submitted KYC on some platforms that I used but it doesn't mean that I like it, if there's a chance of finding alternatives or not submitting entirely, I would definitely choose it.

I just don't like the idea of normalizing the KYC stuff, we don't submit KYC years back and today, the major platforms are now requiring KUC.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Fiat In Bank For BTC? on: December 09, 2023, 10:47:39 AM
Using all the money you have in your bank and selling most of your physical asset such as your house, car or any necessity you need just to buy bitcoin is a dumb idea which I think extremist do. Always remember that bitcoin is a volatile asset and it can crash anytime, and it is absolute that you won't want to get bankrupt all of a sudden. Learn to allocate funds depending on your priority, you can cut on your entertainment, hobbies or other fund allocations for the sake of investment funds , just don't cut the funds for necessities. I don't like the idea of doing YOLO on a very volatile asset. If you want to buy bitcoin as much as you can, being smart is the best thing to do. Accumulate on lower prices, find other source of income and lower your expenses. There are so much things you can do to accumulate bitcoin, just don't sacrifice the basic necessities you need.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 09, 2023, 10:12:37 AM
This is why I accumulated as much bitcoin as I can last bear market. I don't want to get FOMOed at time like this and regret it when hit with a correction. Right now, I'm satisfied with the bitcoin I currently have but I still want to add more if a deep correction occur. Currently, I'm a calm guy that is just waiting for things to happen, whether it continue goes up or go down, I'm all good.

I've experienced being FOMOed and being too late last bull market and I don't want to experience that kind of regret again even I profited last bull market, the profit margin would be much much better if I buy early when the market is in chaos of dumping. I know most of us knows that we will experience a bull market soon, that's why I took advantage of the bear market to get as much bitcoin as I can.

So lesson learned, if you don't want to get FOMOed, do a research as early as you can and take advantage of opportunities to accumulate.
198  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin tumuntong na sa $41k+! on: December 09, 2023, 06:25:44 AM
Well, di ko rin expected na lilipad ng ganto si bitcoin as early as today, medyo overwhelmed lang siguro ako na currently nasa 44-45ish price range siya which is more than what I expected. Tinigil ko muna DCA ko in BTC and focus ako sa alts ngayon pero once na magka correction yung price ni bitcoin ay bibili ako ng maramihan since I personally think na may last dump pa na mangyayari at yun yung last time na makakabili tayo ng discounted bitcoin before bull run. It's just my speculation guys pero sa ngayon focus muna ako on alts, even if mag tuloy tuloy man tumaas yung bitcoin ay ok na ako sa hodlings ko.
199  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nakakabahalang balita mga kabayan. on: December 09, 2023, 04:22:25 AM
Pwede maging domino effect ito at madamay yung ibang non-registered exchanges dito sa bansa natin which is yung ibang exchange na nag ooffer ng p2p services like bybit and okx. Alam naman natin na may mga registered exchanges tayo but being honest is mas prefer ko gumamit ng multi national exchanges kesa local exchange natin given na mas gusto ko yung service na inooffer nila at pamilyar na din ako sa interface nila.

If there's a will, there's a way.

200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 05:30:32 PM
I've seen so many bitcoin halving countdown on different sites and it shows that they have a different time on every each of them. I guess that they are all estimates of the bitcoin halving. I'm personally not much exited about the halving to be honest as I experienced it a few times already, the thing that makes me exited is the possibility that bitcoin price can drop after the bitcoin halving. I know that it would be the last chance to accumulate bitcoin as much as I can on it's lowest price possible before bull run, so yeah, I'm anticipating a price dump after halving and I'm currently preparing my moon bags to be filled.
