21  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 31, 2024, 06:45:27 AM
Not just Barcelona, they even had a partnership with Seria A as well. I watch La Liga matches very often, and I always see Melbet being advertised on the stadium billboards. Isn't melbet also a proven scam and one of the sister sites to 1xbit/1xbet? Yes, it is, but it seems to me that the scammers mastered the art of persuading even top leagues and clubs with money.
These actors really give crypto a very bad name.
Yeah. I was aware of the Melbet advertisements being advertised during those matches and I believe you shared a screenshot related to one of those matches in this thread itself sometime back.

does anyone has feedback from https://sbgok.org/ foundation? they promise to help causes like ours, but I dont see any results at all
This is the very reason that I hate selective scamming. That type of scam always give room for the scammer to be sustainable for a very long of time. When a particular casino is scam selecting, it will throw a very big confusion in the industry or among gamblers while some people will say that they are scammers others who are yet to be scam would defend them that they are not scammers yet they will continue with their scam activity. This is not a good thing among the gamblers because it would still give the scammers the opportunity to advertise even in reputable website and platforms. I am not sure that as bitcoin talk users have known that 1xbit is a scam casino that many people outside the food also know that. You will understand that this confusion will continue for a very long time.

But if this was to be an exit scam, the information will be all over the internet and everyone will take note of the domain and identify them as scammers and that will definitely be the end of that type of scam.
I don't know what is the current relationship of 1xbet to 1xbit but I believe they are connected before as far as I remember, there are solid proofs that I saw in this forum about their connection. 1xbet is casino that heaviliy focus on their marketing, sponsorships, leagues, and so much bunch of advertisement. 1xbet is so familiar with me given on how frequent I see their advertisement from bunch of websites and even the vloggers they sponsored. I am hearing a lot of allegation about 1xbet outside the forum, the opinions of gamblers are half between legit and scammer because of how selective they are in doing their scam.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it's wrong to save vital information on your phone. on: January 30, 2024, 06:06:30 PM
It's ok to save extra copy of our password and seedphrases. I personally have some usb sticks that I use to store my seedphrase and password, which is stored safely on places that I will not forget. I don't use pen and paper on backing up important information like seedphrase except for those hard wallets that I have. I never store any seedphrase on my phone, there's so much risks into it that I can't commit. It's just better to do good old ways of storing such important datas. I've been doing it for years and I still find it effective as I feel safe doing it.

Another thing, don't put any of your seedphrase online even if it's a password manager or some sort.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet can i use for my needs on: January 30, 2024, 05:18:29 PM
It is better to use Binance Exchange instead of Wallet and its security is very tight and it has a very strong exchange, that is, no one can steal your money, no matter where it is, because its security is very high.
That's not a good suggestion to start with. Exchanges aren't for storing coins/tokens. They're only beneficial for trading. Just buy on them and move to your private wallets, except you're going to be trading them there. If you do trade them on exchanges, make sure not to leave them there for long. Remember, not your keys, not your coins, slogan?
Yep it's a bad advice. Theymos even announced here in this forum to avoid storing our tokens to exchanges as they are not meant to be a wallet. Theymos made us remember it after the FTX scandal where people lost their coins/tokens by storing it at that exchange. It should be a common knowledge in cryptocurrency that exchange isn't supposed to hold our assets, it's a place where we can exchange them for something. Newbies are the one who should learn this at least before venturing out on crypto opportunities.

You wrote like one who's VERY new in this industry. Otherwise, you wouldn't be expressing so much confidence in a Cex. Binance may have a great rating now but that doesn't insulate it from the realities of hacks and betrayals. Remember Bitrex, Coinex, Poloniex; just to mention but three; those were the exchanges that dominated the crypto space when I came into it in 2017. Where are they now? Anything can happen in this industry.
It's work very well and no one can move your money. The best thing about it is the authentication that you do any transfer then authentication code will receive to Google authenticator, your money can go out through it. When you have it, no one can take your money out. There is another way to not to get your money out. If you have installed it, no one can hack your account.
He just doesn't know how tricky hackers are in this days. The examples you mentioned are failed exchanges that supposed to be trusted way back. Even if the google authenticator somehow save you from being hacked, there's a chance that the exchange itself is the risk why your asset will disappear.
24  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: January 30, 2024, 03:25:40 PM
Choices are lots and it is really just that depending on someones preference on where they would be sticking.

That is why I suggest people not to search for one most trusted, best, rewarding and etc, but to take severals presented here (sort by number of pages in topic, the more it is discussed, the better it is), compare ToS, fee, bonuses and choose most suited. As all the games are the same everywhere. All casinos offer so many games, that everyone will find something interesting for him. It is a very rare case, when specific game is presented on one casino only.
It's true that casinos are somehow identical because they are using same providers that's why casinos are spending so much money on bonuses and trying their best to be on the heart of every gamblers. Having hugely discussed thread here doesn't mean they are legit, I'll use 1xbit thread as an example, they are being discussed day by day on how scammy their casino is and some of the post there are accusations that had never been resolved by the casino.

I personally believe that the most trusted and rewarding casino is a casino worthy to play. The ToS is somehow identical from most of the casinos, you only need to focus on countries banned and KYC procedures as this is the one I think separates them from each other.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 30, 2024, 02:53:59 PM
As a member of a family and there is a gambling addict within, which method do you think it's the best to rip off the addict from your family member?

1. Talk to them and don't leave their side for too long, show them some love and make sure they don't have anything to do with gambling ever again, be soft and gentle with them.

2. Be harsh about it, force them to quit, let them know that gambling isn't this safe, bounce on them all the time because you love them, don't go any soft on them, because been soft won't make them see reasons why it's bad to be a gambling addict.

Which do you think it's best? Some people do think that been soft and gentle will be more effective and some people think that been harder on them is the real love here, they need to make them stop by force.

What do you think?
Change it from option 1 and 2 to plan a and b. If a gentle approach with some sort of compassion doesn't budge them, try plan b with a harsher approach to the addict. Even if you have plans like that, the chance of the addict not changing a single bit is possible. Those kind of addicts need a plan c which is a help from professional. The plan has different approach but the goal is straight which is making the addict quit or at least slow them down to the point that they realize that they should stop doing gambling.
26  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎮LEETBIT.IO - Casino & Esports 🎮 w/ Gamification & Daily Bonuses⚡️ on: January 30, 2024, 02:31:49 PM
To address another question regarding the usage of a VPN and restricted countries.

UPDATE 1: We don't have problems with our users using VPN for our website due to the nature of cryptocurrencies.

UPDATE 2: You are free to access Leetbit.io from any country in the world. We don't have specific restrictions at this point. However, it might happen that some casino games/operators won't be available if you are visiting from UK, USA or Australia. Our esports offer is working correctly everywhere

I did a quick check on your ToS. looking at your terms and conditions I can still see the prohibition of VPN usage and lists of countries that are restricted to use your platform, are you gonna update your ToS to implement this or put a disclaimer saying that these specific rules are not applicable for crypto gamblers?

3.4. You may not use a VPN, proxy or similar services or devices that mask or manipulate the identification of your real location.

4.1.3. If you are a resident of one of the following countries, or accessing the Website from one of the following countries:

United States of America and its territories, France and its territories, Netherlands and its territories and countries that form the Kingdom of Netherlands, including Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba, Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Australia and its territories, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Spain Cyprus, 4.1.4. To collect nicknames, e-mail addresses and/or other information of other Customers by any means (for example, by sending spam, other types of unsolicited emails or the unauthorised framing of, or linking to, the Service);
This is a hit. This is a confusion that the casino should fix quickly. We don't know what to follow and this can cause issues with the casino as they don't update their TOS or their representative here is spouting his own rules. I believe that ToS is the one that should be updated before any other platform accounts as majority of the people that really play on their casino will base the rules on their website.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 29, 2024, 05:16:09 PM
This is a nice speculation that is backed by data. Though I don't care that much currently as I'm focusing on accumulating as much crypto as I can. I just think that it's better to focus on gaining some seeds now to sell on the bull market than spending huge amount of time on making wild speculation. I'll let people like LadyofCrypto1 do her thing in giving us information like this, I'm ok with a secondhand knowledge.

Maybe I'll comeback in this thread on the next few months if I can feel a very bullish action from bitcoin.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 29, 2024, 04:51:55 PM
It's a new year again and we all know what lies in wait, scammers are thinking of more innovative ways to decive and pollute the crypto community again and the one I hate the most are these wannabes that come and taint our fav coin image by creating not just inferiors but empty coins. They come I form of rug pulls, pump and dump all trying to scam crypto users who are ill informed. Not to long from now one new Influencer would start promoting a new rugpull, pls let none of us fall for such silly tricks anymore we are way past that already.

But any way let me remind you of how you can quickly save yourself from falling into these malicious snares.

👉get rid of your get rich quick mentality : I know a lot of persons would be expecting me to say read their whitepaper, but like I said this guys are getting more smart and making a good whitepaper with excellent road map and all would not be a problem to them. But thign I know they can't change so easily is their offers, they would always work on your greed, trying to entice you with silly offers that are so good to be true. I'm crying 😢 right now cause I also wished they were true, but sorry they aren't and don't fall to such this year.

👉 track their anonymously: so far I've noticed that most scams don't project any team members to the public and if they do they are mostly fake and this way could be very effective than reading a whole whitepaper. Check if the project has any real life representative and follow them up and see if they are posting in line with their big project in hand. Why i feel this is a good idea is because they are still afraid of the government too.

👉 yeah and  finally stop listening to influencers: many persons that have fallen for scam was found following one influencer or the other. Just know this people don't have you in mind and would promote any shit to get paid. Always do your own investigations if you must invest in any new project.

👉only invest in bitcoin 😎:  by know we all know that bitcoin is the only reliable crypto right now. And I have history to prove that, to me every other  project is not decentralized as they claim to be because they still have a kind of supervisory body even tho they claim not to, people did fund those projects remember and they would want something, nothing is free, no altcoin is completely decentralized.

Whole bitcoin on the other hand is developed by the bitcoin community and even the creator has no hand in it again . Now there is something we can trust.

Stay safe yall. No scam getting us this year

If you could add pls do we have everyon3 at heart ❤ 💙

You are right about the influencers. Most of the influencers lie about the returns and scope of crypto to sell related services. These type of over promises are so much sugar coated that new investors easily fall prey to this. Government should have strict laws punishing these kind of influencers.

Also, there should be more awareness from investor point of view. If an investor is aware, no one can make him fool. He will remain financially sound and make better financial decisions.
Well that's true. I hope every country has the same regulations like the one on the US where influencers or promotors should be liable on their action if ever they promoted something that scam people. As far as I remember there are celebrities that paid the price on the court as they promoted scam NFTs on their own platform before.

Sadly, we don't have that kind of law on our country that's why there's a lot of influencers taking advantage of their reach to do paid promotions and some influencers doesn't even do a research on what they are promoting since it is riskless to them.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 29, 2024, 03:21:48 PM
It is true that some people are drawn to the idea of generating quick money with cryptocurrencies, which increases their vulnerability to fraud. being aware that social media manipulation is a common tactic used by scammers to trick and mislead people these days. As you mentioned, they may create a sense of pressure, use persuasive strategies, or give misleading information to deceive people into acting rashly or disclosing private information. I believe that greed may be the driving force behind people's actions, like their rash attempts to benefit from cryptocurrencies without conducting enough study.
I'm talking about how the prospect of huge profits and great returns can occasionally cloud people's judgment and cause them to act rashly.  Naturally, fraudsters take advantage of this greed by presenting investment possibilities that look too good to be true or unrealistic returns.

Since cryptocurrency markets are known for their volatility and the possibility of significant price jumps, I also believe that fear of missing out plays a role. People may therefore rush to invest without doing adequate research or realizing the hazards involved out of a fear of missing out on the big profits others are making. I believe this type of thinking is typical among certain people.
Yep it's common here on crypto space. I believe that there are a lot of people thinking the crypto is a quick money machine, with the current trend of airdrops and with the lucrative rewards in it, no wonder why people who has no idea of how cryptocurrency is hooked just because on how lucrative the space is. Of course scammers will utilized the opportunity that there are still a lot of potential victims, a lot of influencers and social media promotors where used to promote scams. Social media now is a good marketing platform but it is sad to say that scammers are not new to social media that they can make people think they are legit.

This is why gaining knowledge on crypto is important, imagine there are people who has a lot of experience on cryptocurrency but still getting scammed by innovative scammers.

30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Calls My Child's Name Bitcoin. on: January 29, 2024, 02:28:17 PM
That might not help you mate. Naming the child Bitcoin isn’t good according to me. In this manner you will be under attention of everyone. If you live in a place where Bitcoins are not legalised, then it might even create big problem for you. I know you love both your child and Bitcoins. But at many places Bitcoins are considered illegal, and naming your child something like this might harm both your reputation and they might set a enquiry on you for checking whether you possess some unlisted Bitcoins or not.
According to OP other post, he named his child with a normal name on papers, without bitcoin in it. So I guess bitcoin is a nickname to his child because of the situation that OP told their relatives. I doubt that it will affect the child so much unless bitcoin becomes illegal and the nickname that the child has is carried by the child in the future. I guess OP can talk with his relatives to stop naming the child bitcoin if he is bothered with the potential risk of it.

I think naming your child with bitcoin can have it's advantage and disadvantage, it only depend on the perspective of the parents to be honest. There are people who are named with rich, gold, silver, diamond but I guess that there names doesn't affect them that much.

Legality of bitcoin on every country is uncertain right now, just take the safest route on naming your child a normal name and just teach them everything you know about bitcoin. Teach them financial literacy at an early age, it will help them so much in the future for sure!
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 29, 2024, 02:03:17 PM
If you don't have any source of income then you can't succeed in the world.

First you need to earn and save before investing. Since investing in cryptocurrencies requires you to accept risk, you cannot invest money in such a way that if you lose the money, you will suffer in life. So you cannot invest money which you may need anytime.
Turns out you invested in a token for a long time but suddenly after a few days you need the money but then the market bearishness has come and gone. Your property i.e. invested money has reduced a lot.
So before investing you must strengthen your own funds so that you don't have to monitor the investment after you invest.
Well it's a common knowledge. On crypto space, having no source of income will pose a lot of risks. Crypto is on a riskier side of investments, if you put the money you shouldn't lose, it is a mistake obviously.

If somehow you invested your money on crypto that supposed to be for another purpose, you will forcefully sell your crypto on a losing side at worst. One of the basic rules on crypto is to invest money that you can afford to lose, it isn't wise to invest money that aren't allotted to investing.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 05:56:31 PM
I think yes. Addiction can make your mental health in dire as there are a lot of things rounding up to your mind. If the gambler has other issues like for example having short temper and anger issues, there's a high chance that the gambler who has an addition can result to domestic violence. A stressed gambler because of losses partnered with unstable mind, there's a fat chance that the gambler can commit a crime. What more if the gambler become intoxicated with alcohol or substance, it's an added chance that a gambler can do anything that he can think.

Over all it depends on the gambler's characteristics, there are added factors and being a gambling addict can be one of that factors why a gambler can commit a domestic violence.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't you use DEX? on: January 27, 2024, 05:28:48 PM
There are few reasons, some dexes are a little bit complicated for some newbies, gas fees, slower compared to cex and other many reasons, mostly comparable to cex. There are people who preferred convenience over privacy, it's a fact that's why there are many people who are still using cex. Even with the past cex issues like the mt.gox hack, ftx scandal and also binance scandal, the cex users are still using the cex platforms as it is way better. I myself is using cex because of its convenience but I still use dexes sometimes. I don't register on other cex anymore, I submitted KYC before, why not use it? Just don't forget to not store crypto on these cex as you don't have full custody on your funds.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 27, 2024, 04:40:53 PM
Best time to buy bitcoin? During the bear market of course but as of now, I believe that we past that bear market already and headed toward the bull market. I think buying on every dip would be better than buying at random time. You can also do DCA strategy if you want to accumulate and sell on the bull market, there will be profit on that strategy but don't expect that you will have the same profit compared to buying during the bear market.

I personally believe that there is still one last dip that we will experience in the future before the bulls hit the market, I'm waiting for that dip and scoop bitcoins to add to my portfolio.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 27, 2024, 04:17:49 PM
I have read many stories about why people sold too early or did not hold on to their Bitcoin for longer. We all made the same mistake for different reasons. I am one of the group that sold early too but there is no reason to keep kicking oneself over it.

Looking back, I remember when Bitcoin reached $1000, I never thought I would see it reach $10,000 (that seemed far away) but it happened and now I am thinking I'll probably see it reach $100,000 one day therefore there is still time to reap benefits if I invest wisely Grin

Yep.  I've written it probably dozens of times over the past few years that I feel like a complete dunce for not holding onto the cheap bitcoins I got my hands on years ago--and even more so for not believing in bitcoin and its ability to appreciate in value like it did.

But I could write pages and pages kicking myself for not being bitcoin-rich.  Instead, I'm just going to say that when it was worth $200-500, $1000 seemed so very far away.  And then when bitcoin finally reached $1k, I thought there would have to be some apocalyptic event before it ever reached $10k.  And then it reached that milestone, and all was relatively well in the world.  After that, it still seemed far-fetched that $50k would ever be a reality....and then it was.  I don't think my thought process and skepticism was so out of whack that I ought to be flagellating myself, but just looking back at what happened vs. what I predicted, I just want to forget about all of it or at least not think about it too much.

And then threads like this pop up.  Thanks, OP!
Yep, it's the common regret that most of us here share. To be honest my selling reason is a bit unworthy, imagine selling my bitcoin before to buy an iphone that I can't use to this date because of it's old generation. It's a mistake that make me regret as I can still remember the number of bitcoin I sold before for that iphone, the worth of it on this date is tremendous. Well, we should just move on and accumulate bitcoin as much as we can as there are chances that bitcoin can hit $100k.

Surely filipino ponzi schemes di mawawala diyan, primary target ulit nila pinoys and ofw.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 27, 2024, 01:46:24 PM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

Addiction will certainly result into a problem sooner or later. Addiction itself is a mental health problem, knowing that an gambling addict is seeks gambling despite of having a potential consequence if they continued. Addiction will result to a problem even if the addiction you have currently doesn't exhibit other problems to you. Even if you are a rich guy with a gambling addiction with a good financial status, other problem might occur like on relationship, trust, personal connections etc.

Having an addiction is bad in my opinion.
38  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Umaarangkada na ang Coins.ph on: January 26, 2024, 09:20:36 PM
Kagaya ng iba, I think mas better if iimprove muna nila ang services nila dito sa Pinas rather than expanding. Mas lalawak ang customer base nila at the same time yung negative feedback sa services nila. Marami ng na saraduhan ng account at nag kaissues sa withdrawal sa coins.ph at marami nakong kakilala with the same issues. To be honest mas gusto ko yung service nila before compared sa ngayon, actually preferred ko gamitin ang coins.ph dati as a wallet and even as an exchange for bitcoin to php pero ngayon is sobrang nag iba na.

This coins.ph upgrade can help OFW I guess? Pero if yung plano nila is mag expand to get a foreign customers ay satingin ko is hindi ito magiging effective sa sobrang daming competition na mas ahead and mas trusted compared sakanila.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 25, 2024, 02:58:44 PM
I am writing out of experience. My first time gambling, I lost during the first round. I injected more and more money into my bet to ensure that I recover what I lost. I didn't recover anything, I gambled until I had no money on me left. My first mistake was not sticking to my initial budget, it didn't occur to me that gambling is base on luck and that I could lose everything I have if I keep chasing losses. Do not make the mistake I made, walk into the casino with an open mind.
This is what the first gambling experience for most people, good for you able to wake up and not become a gambling addict. As long as the gambler didn't use an emergency money for monthly needs, it won't cause a problem to their life.
It's true, it is often the case that newbie gamblers take a considerable amount of time to realize that chasing losses only serves to exacerbate their addiction. Such behavior can lead them to make rash decisions, such as dipping into their savings, selling off assets, and in the worst-case scenario, incurring significant debts.
As long as they still make rational decisions, the chances of them being an addict will be low. I agree that newbies aren't prone on being addicted on gambling, they will be a casual gambler as they go until they experience a massive loss that they are desperate to reclaim it or having a massive win that they want to experience again. That I think will be the trigger for their slow process of addiction. The gambling addiction can cause them into making bad decisions that most of the addicted gamblers do and can possibly cause their life to sink.
40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: January 25, 2024, 08:18:14 AM
I'm just a newbie and I don't have other opportunities to make money irl because of my place of living and age. I tried already bounties and airdrops, but I'm not lucky in it. Thanks for your advices!!!
1. Join bounty campaigns here.
2. Join airdrops.
3. Be a Freelancer.

There are many ways, but I think these 3 are the most common ways (at least for me) to make money without any investment. The 1st one worked so well for me because, without the bounty campaign, I might not have any portfolio right now. I saved most of my earnings from different bounty campaigns and used it to buy some mid to long-term coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Airdrops? I've been a bit lazy for the past few years, but this year 2024, I'll spend some time making money by joining different airdrops. I know that airdrops always have this feeling of "the token will be dumped", but I believe that it will be different this year, and I want to maximize it. Being a freelancer is another one because if you have a skill that you can offer online, you can offer it, and you will accept any cryptocurrency in exchange.

Many here already shared their own opinions and shared other ways. It's up to you now OP what you will do. Also, what I assume to your question is that you will not invest any money, and not time because you always need to invest time for you to make money. You also said that you're not lucky with airdrops and bounties. Try it again. I also failed multiple times when I was starting. Smiley Just try and try. After all, you aren't investing money by joining on them.
I will be suggesting this as well. The first option needs luck and hardwork knowing that bounty campaigns here arent lucrative anymore, you need a luck that the bounty campaign you joined will pay you well.

The second option needs some hardwork and a little bit of money, some airdrops today requires you small money to be able to finish the task to be eligible on airdrops, example of it is testnets and node running. The small money will be spent on mostly gas fees, depending on the network it might be cheap or not. Not all airdrop requires money because it's an airdrop but I personally believe that airdrop that cost money will reward you more.

The third option needs some skills and hardwork, depending on your skill and the market demand, you can earn money from it or even crypto itself. It will depend on your freelance arrangement based on how you negotiate.
