421  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 25, 2023, 06:17:44 PM

I've been looking for an apartment for over 6 months and haven't found anything yet. Not only is there a very limited supply, but those available are either too expensive, poor, too small, or everything combined. Thus, this is creating a huge feeling of uncertainty, as time is running out and I need to get settled down. Renting outside of town in the nearby villages isn't ideal either, because petrol is way too expensive.

The reality is finding your perfect ideal apartment is harder to get compared on what majority of us are thinking. There are also other people who are thinking to stay at the same apartment that you are thinking, you are lucky if you get your ideal apartment at the rent fee that you are willing to pay. Real estate are becoming expensive day by day especially today that we have a global inflation. It's either you will pay for the rent amount asked or just accept the inconvenience of not getting what you want.

The demand is also another factor on why you can't get your ideal apartment, living downtown with a lot of traffic has always a good thing on real estate owners since the demand is always there, even if they put above market renting price, there will still be people who want to stay in it.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce the price of goods on: September 25, 2023, 05:39:17 PM
I have been thinking and trying to analyze what is really causing the high cost of food in Nigeria, I came to realize that monopoly is the major factors, Nigeria government are the enablers. How can one person be the sole major distributor, government should welcome competition in the business sector, every business person should be allowed to produce.
Maybe it is not about reducing the price of goods but more about increasing the purchasing power globally? Look at Switzerland, they are one of the most expensive nations in the world, but they are earning as much as the yare spending, sure there must be some poor people there too, but they are making insane amount of salary compared to rest of the world, which means that even a minimum wage worker there, even someone who other nations "deem" bad and low income stuff, can buy whatever they want globally.

Look at Norway, look at Japan, all these nations make a lot of money even though their expenses could be huge, that means it is not about reducing the price of goods, let them be expensive if you have to, but make people richer.
I haven't been to Switzerland, but I think there are inexpensive clothes and products there. There are very expensive real estate, real estate rentals, insurance and services that people often use. And if you work remotely in Switzerland, you can choose many countries for a good and comfortable life.
This is the advantage of high cost of living, high salary countries, you have the option to live somewhere where the cost is living is low just like in Bali Indonesia. There are foreigners who are living for good there given that they can spend the luxury life they can't afford in their own countries. Having a work from home set up is a blessing to many people, it's just that not everyone can have the same set up. Sometimes living in another country make your cost of living very affordable. One way to enjoy life.
423  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com | Win $1,000,000! | Biggest Crypto Casino | Instant Withdrawals! ✅ on: September 25, 2023, 04:54:51 PM
Nobody has abandoned this thread.
But it really looks like you have abandoned this thread as the way you are bumping this now. Your posting quality and replies were better in the past. You are bumping this thread without any valuable content now. Post some big wins screenshot and make promotional announcements occasionally to make the thread alive. BTW, there is no promotion at Punt.com. When the 'challenges' will be available?

If gamblers do not ask anything here or they have nothing to discuss about this casino, then the OP have no option but to bump the thread. However, he should think about why other gambling ANN threads are always active and there is no activity on this thread.

One reason which comes to my mind is that fewer people are playing on this platform and hence they do not discuss anything here. Also, Punt needs to have some sort of marketing campaign / Signature campaign in order to attract the gamblers. The competition between the gambling sites is quite high and hence they need to have some budget for marketing purposes.
I think it's nothing illegal to bump your own thread by current updates and promotion of your own casino. One thing I can see why other gambling ANN threads is way active than other ANN threads is because people have something interesting to talk about like new updates in the casino. If gamblers knows that there's a new update it basically means that they are active in playing in the casino and want to know the experience of other gamblers. Even if there's an active updates posted by the casino representative here, if no one is interested in it, obviously no one will talk about it or have sentiments with it.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 25, 2023, 03:38:41 PM
Lost in the whirlwind world of day trading? It often feels like a maze with big folks and their flashy tools, leaving us hoping for a stroke of luck. Imagine ditching the tricky charts for a simple, real coin flip, person vs person, with a fair 50/50 chance. No gimmicks, no house edge, just a clear, honest game.

What’s your take? Does day trading seem more of a gamble compared to a straight-up coin flip
Nope, flip has a 50/50 percent chance but you will hardly rely on the luck you have but day trading is base on your skill and how much you can increase the probability of the chart you are seeing. If you don't have any idea on what you are doing on trading, it would be better to just do a coin flip with 50/50 chance at least you have the same odds in winning and losing but if you have the skills to alter that chance of winning, trading would be better for you. Day trading is sure a hard work but I think is better than the coin flip if we are talking about having skills on both.
425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 24, 2023, 05:56:41 PM
OP, Beyond the gambling security measures you mentioned, there aren't many security measures. However, it is not possible to complete so many security measures in one account, but if you complete a few security measures, you will be completely safe.
By enabling KYC and two factor verification process, your account will be completely safe. Moreover, if you take some small precautions you will be completely safe. One thing to always remember is that your account security is solely your responsibility. Gambling Authority will never be held responsible if someone accesses your account and hacks your currency.
It is possible, like for example we already changed our password to the ones that are much harder to guess. Then we proceed on enabling our 2FA's. In some casinos that I use, we are also required to scan our face before we complete the payment. There might be more than this which is definitely possible to add on our existing security measures, if we want to have a better security for our gambling accounts.

For those who are not used to it, or didn't do it on purpose because they are lazy, they will think it's more of a disadvantage than an advantage. Despite of doing all of those, it's surprising that we aren't still completely safe. But at least, we are making the lives of the hackers hard.
I haven't heard any casino that are doing face scan before withdrawing. I think it's a bit over acting to have that kind of security for a casino account. For years of my gambling experience, I haven't experienced getting hacked or what not. I use strong password and a 2-factor authentication for all of my accounts and I'm confident of not getting hacked with it. Personally, if a casino offer that kind of face scan, I probably won't use it given that it's a hassle and kinda over acting for security on a gambling site. I probably just withdraw my funds every time I play on a casino.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Earnings on: September 24, 2023, 04:54:49 PM
I am a newbie in bitcoin I want to learn a lot about bitcoin I want to do marketing and trading with bitcoin if any of you are expert or if someone is more skilled please give me some suggestion so that I can do something good and my future is good.  can shine through bitcoin and i can stay away from casino and gambling games and without these two means i can earn money in my life and i can work hard to earn bitcoin everyone.
Learn about bitcoin first before trying to earn it, at least with the basic knowledge about bitcoin. Being profitable on trading comes is the result of the experience on trading, it will take you losses before you can earn a good amount of profit on trading. Earning money from cryptocurrency is not that hard depending on the way you are earning but doing it consistently is the part which makes it difficult.

Why not learn bitcoin and other part of cryptocurrency, and work in real life to make your first investment in cryptocurrency. I believe it's most of us are doing here.
427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened to Crypto Volatility..??? on: September 24, 2023, 03:11:25 PM
As of today we’re in a status quo as BTC is quiet in its price movement. Not even the 2024 BTC halving would guarantee that it would be a strong catalyst for the next bull run.

As I have remembered in the last halving, it would take a few months before BTC break it’s then-all time high and the momentum continued with Elon Musk skyrocketing it like crazy for up to almost $70k.

The possible catalysts that we’re eyeing on are the ones who applied for Bitcoin Spot ETFs that needs approval from the US SEC. Just my opinion.
I'm expecting the same thing in the next halving. I've saw this kind of pattern 2x already and it might be the same thing that will happen next year when halving happened. It would take months before we can see a massive rise on bitcoin price. Spot bitcoin ETF is one of the factors that I am thinking that could possibly contribute to a massive bitcoin price pump in short, the bull market for cryptocurrency. This is the current time that is I think the best time to buy bitcoin since we are on sideways for a long time now. Volatility is there but the peak volatility is I think will happen during the bull and bear market.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good fundamentals don't ensure a great investment. on: September 24, 2023, 11:04:01 AM
The future is still remain unpredictable. I remember the time when people were yelling if luna was the next bitcoin but they were got rekt massively once luna dumped so hard like it was worth nothing again.
People must not be stupid enough to always call anything that has good fundamentals will be suitable for investing. Even though bitcoin was a coin with best fundamental but it can make us get rekt as well. There's also a certain condition when the project was also facing crisis.
This is also making the investors got so much stressed caused by they saw their portfolios dumped so hard.
We all have our own perspective on a coin. Luna was has an aggressive price increase when people are telling the public about their opinion about LUNA, saying that it has a great tokenomics and next to bitcoin but yeah, things happened and the tokenomics they have had been exploited and massively crashed along with it's pegged stable coin. Maybe the opinion of people at that time (before the crash) where directed into hyping and for marketing the LUNA, it was effective if it meant to be that way. Fundamentals is important but I agree that sometimes it can bring a danger to us especially if we don't analyze it that much and have the certain precaution that we need to avoid a fundamental disaster just like what happened to LUNA.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are memecoins tarnishing the image of crypto? on: September 23, 2023, 05:08:37 PM
Nothing is tarnishing the image of anything here just as the wheat and weeds all grow together then later during the harvest, the farmer decides to separate them both, if there are thousands of memecoins today, we all know that only few can be trusted that are reliable and yet we don't know which one from each other except for bitcoin in cryptocurrency, so making an investment in memecoins is taking a risk on itself and if care is not taking, scam may end it all, therefore we should research well about anything investment we are making in cryptocurrency because this will be part of what will shield us from being exposed to any scam token or coin.
98% of the meme coins in the market right now is just plain trash that really don't have anything to contribute in the growth of crypto. Developers treat it as a money machine and people who put their money into are just hoping to be an instant rich by luck. Majority of the one who lost their money are the newbies who are the one are very hopeful that they can get money from their investment. Memecoins is another form of sh*tcoins in the market given that they have no purpose and the developers aren't really determined to have plans for it in the future, plain basic money machine or a cash cow.
430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 23, 2023, 04:24:42 PM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
For not doing your KYC verification, you might not be given access to withdrawal, although exchanges differ in handling KYC issues. Some exchange would not allow you withdraw big amount of funds, but they will allow you to withdraw little amount of funds. While some wouldn't even allow you to withdraw at all, until you have completed the KYC verification.
Yeah, that’s some of the trick in the book. They try to leverage KYC by not making it mandatory but, ensure your limited to certain amounts per day, a week and in a month. While this might be disturbing, it not only ensures you stay within safe zones but in the event of a hack, your most likely to have most of your funds stay put while the hacker can make away with only the limits as the period of being in control allows (that’s in a case where your individual account is been hacked).
When it comes to hacks on the exchange itself, that’s a different story.

Meanwhile, the limiting of withdrawals based on KYC will by some means push you towards having the verification down but, you’ve got to establish good reasons to let any exchange out there have your details and be sure of its safety.
Exchanges just want to make you tired of having the heavy restrictions they put in using non-KYC account. More like you are using a demo account but with real funds, most of the features are limited and you can only enjoy the full platform by submitting the KYC they are asking. It might be helpful to have a limited withdrawal amount in scenarios like being hacked but most of the time it sucks especially if you are transferring your funds actively on different wallet and exchange.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 23, 2023, 03:23:20 PM
I personally hope that people could get better attention to low cap stuff, most of them are just pure shitcoins, even if they are listed there, because just getting listed there doesn't make you any less shitcoin, it just makes you one with some money that can pay for it.

The trend of looking for Low Cap tokens is actually no longer effective, because not many people experience high pumps atm. Maybe, if anyone is still enthusiastic about looking for lowcap tokens, they can follow influencers on platform X, because there is a lot of information being shared there. Reddit could also be an option. But, what you say is true, if the altcoin is low cap it will most likely become a shitcoin. Potential investors should do research before buying to minimize the risk of loss, and focus on short-term profits rather than holding for long terms if decided to buy already.

This is effective before since to many people look for low cap tokens since this is easy to hype and pump. But now the action made by those guys which manipulate these low cap coins has been exposed already so we cannot get any guarantee that we can earn from choosing it nowadays since many look at the low cap tokens as dead project already. Maybe we should look for better establish tokens or coins since they have more better chances that can give us decent profit.
Even from the past, there's no guarantee in earning by putting your money in these low cap coins. Last bull market, it is known that there are people who like to gamble in this kind of tokens, they are labeled as "degens" before. They just hope that the token they bought go high so that they can get profit from all of the capital they use. These low cap tokens where popular when the trend of deFi are just starting and deFi exchange are basically new. I remember that there's a coin named "SCAM" that rise from it's nearly zero capitalization but because of the hype it rise and makes holders gained massive profits, but today the token is gone and pretty much have no value. It's very risky and I'm sure that there are many who lose their money because of it, most of it are newbies.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good fundamentals don't ensure a great investment. on: September 23, 2023, 02:31:25 PM
Well you dont only based the project strenght on its inflation rate. We should also check its use cases around their ecosystem does those unloaded tokens have usefulness in such horizon or not? Well if its in demand then its price would increase no matter how big the supply being release on specific time. Yes supply and demand of such commodity matter but also its only a part of what we can see on future of different project.
In short there’s a lot of factors that needs to be consider before investing and fundamentals alone is not enough because not all projects are fundamentally good but still they are able to rise and build their empire. The usage of the project, the demand for it and the future plans of the project also matters, look into this details as well before investing, try to use both FA and TA to have a solid result of your analysis.
Yep, one example of that the projects that is mentioned in the OP has the same characteristics but managed to make a good way for their own community to trust them. There are so many deciding factor on why would you trust a project but I think investors make the inflationary characteristic a passable factor. Maybe the burning or the product usefulness can't be overseen that's why the "cons" of unlocking a certain number of tokens is still manageable. It depends on how the community see the project fundamentals.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Talking about big wins on Dice on: September 23, 2023, 01:45:35 PM
Winning a 0.0007% chance bet is insane! I haven't even encounter a player that is playing the same time with me won that kind of winning chance. I wonder how much did poorplayer spent in total in his journey in reaching that kind of insane win. This poorplayer must have an insane luck in winning especially that not everyone can win on that very low chance of winning, also not everyone has the courage to do the same thing just like me LOL.
434  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: September 22, 2023, 05:33:31 PM
I don't think extremely poor or wealthy people are not excluded in this matter since in this world in order to survive we all need is money for us to buy our wants and needs.

A mistake the poor make is that they follow the rich and try to belike them when they don't understand the secret the rich keep from them. The rich might be spending money and buying all the things that they want but to you it's unnecessary but to them they are very necessary because they can use those things they buy to get into places that they won't have been let in. The rich might buy a yacht and be let into the club of yacht owners that'll get them opportunity to meet other rich people and they get ideas and other business opportunity that'll make them richer. To you that yacht wasn't necessary and a waste of money but to the rich guy it was an investment and he can always rent out the yatch and be making money as well

Yep, they utilize their entertainment to grow their networks. It's a smart way to join in a group of people that has the same status level that you have. Having good connections is one of the way that rich maintain their richness. Rich people just enjoy their money but at the same time thinking about how they can earn something from it. This is why most of the instant millionaires can't be more rich because they only want to experience the money, the way that millionaires lives, most of them just enjoy it at most but don't think on what will they gain from it aside from the happiness from the experience.
435  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga ragnarok classic gamer maganda ito on: September 22, 2023, 04:20:11 PM
Wow partnership pala sila ng official publisher ng original ragnarok. I hope walang maging problema sa publishing nila or sa legality ng pag distribute ng version ng game. To be honest, may mga ragnarok games ngayon akong nakikita na meron sa mobile at PC like ragnarok origins at ragnarok eternal love. I'm a ragnarok player pero inactive na ngayon, though I think medyo malakas padin yung player base ng ragnarok origins given na sila yung latest version ng game. I wonder if mag switch sila dito sa crypto game version of ragnarok since yung origins is hardly limited yung trading ng items at bentahan ng items which is I guess unlocked ito sa cryptocurrency version of ragnarok.
436  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 22, 2023, 03:55:18 PM
[1] Elon Musk plans to charge users a monthly fee to access X
[2] Elon Musk says he will start charging people to use X-Twitter

It's no news that the economy of X has been dwindling and I wouldn't say I was shocked when I read the news from CNBC that Elon Musk in a live stream conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated to start letting X charge every user a small amount monthly to combat fake account and bot dominance.

I believe his style and excuses are not genuine as I wonder if his X is the only social media platform with fake accounts and bots, and has others started charging users for the fight other than from the revenue they generate from ads and other means. His arrogance has cost X a lot and might continue to do so.

As much as I respect the fact that Musk needs ways to monetize the microblogging app, there are some things I won't take. I won't pay for a service that others will offer similarly for free, not when I don't earn a penny from it.

If he makes his deed good, then someone like me will surely excuse myself no matter how little he charges.

My main reason is that I don't earn from the platform and have an alternative to what I get from it. Secondly, this will serve as a protest to dissuade other platform owners from following suit. If this is successful, I'm sure that with time, others will begin to make sure people pay for social media platforms.

What about you? Are you willing to pay for X?
Of course there will be a free to use version of twitter, I guess the standard twitter without any new features like edit and added character count on each tweet. Though I instantly got worried after I saw that it priorities search results, I'm sure scammers will use this kind of feature as an additional way to scam people in twitter. We have saw scammers buying verified accounts last bull market and using it to scam people on a creative way. I'm expecting another wave of scammers during the bull market where people are craving for information and money in the internet. Last bull market was a big season for scammer, what more now where blue checks and additional features is now more easy to get.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: September 22, 2023, 12:58:17 PM
The point is that reviews found on casinos do not necessarily guarantee that the site can be trusted and has a high trust rating unless what you mean is a review of a casino that is already big and popular then there is no need we no longer doubt that this casino is truly worthy and trustworthy.
So far in the forum there are always various threads related to the best and most trusted casinos so that we can learn to find out there the names of the most reputable and trusted casinos and this is an easy way that we can do.

Yes this forum is a very valuable resource to check reputation and to make sure the site is reviewed deeply and not just as in some webpages that give a star ranking or a thumbs up and little else, or just simple comments like "it is fine" or "it does well" from random people who may be very well working for the site.
The thing is not everyone knows about this forum, many don't know that this forum exists. Even when I search a famous scam casino in the internet, I need to scroll multiple search pages first before I got the ANN thread of that scam casino. The one I can see the most is the casino ranking sites and reddit threads about that casino. We are lucky enough that we know this forum given that we have an edge in filtering out scam crypto casinos but what about those who has no access or didn't know this forum? I hope that bitcointalk will have more visibility in the internet and will be prioritized by search engines.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 21, 2023, 07:17:11 PM
I would like to add that if someone does decide to go for a KYC enabled casino, it would be a better thing to do the KYC before depositing any funds. Because either way, the casino will, at some point, demand KYC. And when this happens, they might take much longer to verify your KYC documents because they do not have any time limits on how long they are allowed to legally freeze your account (as far as I know) until the KYC procedure is done. This might leave you waiting to withdraw your money. Depending on your situation, this can become a big problem. Especially if you have to wait months.
That make sense since if you submit your KYC, it eliminates the problem that revolves around KYC and you will have the confidence to think that you will get your withdrawal. I think this is good for people who would want to stay long in the casino and has plan to gamble more.

Though there are people like me who gamble on KYC enabled casinos but only do KYC when asked, my reason is I don't gamble that much and have no experience of getting my account frozen because of not submitting KYC.

Importantly, just play on a reputable KYC enabled casino if you can, the possibility of not getting a lot of headache from withdrawing into those are high.
439  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: September 21, 2023, 05:49:54 PM

440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the drive that makes women go into gambling? on: September 21, 2023, 04:24:18 PM
There's two primary reason why people drive in doing gambling. It is applicable to majority of the gambler weather it's men, women or other gender classification. It is because of the money that the gambler earn and the entertainment that we get from doing gambling. There are small number of people who has their own personal reason but majority of us has the same reason. I believe in gender equality especially in the gambling industry, your gender doesn't tell you why you are doing gambling.
