61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 20, 2024, 06:26:48 AM
I want to choose crypto currency trading as a career but I feel like I need to know a lot about it to choose it as a career and I don't think there is anything better to do from here.
As I am new to this place I am trying to know which aspects I can take Cryptocurrency trading as my career if I know well.

After searching various online platforms youtube twitter different places I realized that if I want to do cryptocurrency trading it is very important for me to learn many things first including -

  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis

If I can master the above I think I can be a successful trader Another thing I noticed is that when the market goes up or down again, no chart or technical analysis or fundamental analysis works Do I have to depend on the news or should I pay attention to the news that if there is good news in the market the market goes up a lot and bad news actually the market goes down a lot I am gaining knowledge from YouTube or different online platforms to become a professional Cryptocurrency trader

Is there anyone here who is a professional trader, I want to help him that apart from the above mentioned things, what should I know as a professional trader, do you know of any platform or site from where I can take professional trader training ?
Just like others, I also don't advise to make crypto trading as your career. It is nice to have that trading skill but maintaining it to be profitable everyday is so hard that there are only few people who live on doing day to day trades. Having a good trading skill also takes years before you achieve it.

Based on the post you created, you have an idea on how to start being a trader. It's nice that you did research, try executing it as it is the hard part. If you are serious about doing it as a career, try watching youtubers that is doing day to day trades.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain could change our future even in elections? on: January 20, 2024, 01:42:07 AM
I have seen ideas like this before, the transparency of blockchain is what makes it a good option for a country voting system. But just like any countries in the world, I doubt that no one will ever try this given that there are no such honest country. I personally believe that there are some manipulation on voting on every countries in the world. These politicians that are currently sitting won't let this kind of fairness, unless they have extra plans to manipulate or cheat the voting even if it is on the blockchain. One example of this is dummies that will be voting on their side.
63  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: January 19, 2024, 04:39:58 PM
It's known na effective ang billboard for promotion. Not only in crypto pero sa lahat ng bagay lalo na sa gusto mag papansin. Billboard + Social media is proven effective dito sa crypto space at sa mga nag coclout chase like the example, Xian Gaza. Maraming nag pa billboard last bull market tungkol sa cryptocurrency. If active ka sa NFT trend last bull market is sobrang dami nag papabillboard ng NFT's nila, iba iba yung purpose pero ang alam most common purpose na napansin ko is for whitelisting. Meron din akong nakitang Gamefi projects na nag pa billboard last bull market, mostly before sila mag release ng game nila and of course for promoting it on social media.

If gagawin siguro yung billboard promotion for bitcoin, I think it's better to combine billboard + social media since it will be new for us pinoy to promote bitcoin solely. People will be struck by curiosity pag nakita nila yung billboard or social media post of a billboard about bitcoin.

Yep it's a powerful marketing strategy. Actually Maya had done it already nung nag launch sila ng cryptocurrency sa app nila. Nakita niyo na ba before yung raffle winner ng worth 1 million in bitcoin before? Pinabillboard ng maya yung winner name at yung winner is nag selfie dun sa billboard as a a sign of legitimacy and boom! Nag trending before sa social media. It is a good promotion that MAYA did there, sobrang effective nung ginawa nilang billboard + social media just to promote yung new feature nila which is cryptocurrency sa app nila.

64  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: January 19, 2024, 04:03:25 PM
Well, I am not against casinos obtaining a license to operate, but what I have always wanted to know for sure is what does the licence do exactly?
Many a times, I see some gamblers advising other gamblers against playing on casino without licence, as such casinos may likely be a scam in pending, but still on several occasions, we have witnessed casinos with license shut down and ran away with money belonging to their users, and the issuer of their license did nothing to make sure that users get their hard earned money back, what then is the use or benefit of a licenced casino to gamblers.

Some say that when a player have issues with a casino, he or she could report to the issuer of their license for such casino to be properly sanctions, but never for once have I ever heard or seen that a license issuer sanctioned a casino for their misconduct towards a gambler or gamblers, again, I asked, what exactly is the benefit of licensed casinos to gamblers?
I myself don't exactly know but my guess is casino who has license is the proof that the casino is under the influence of the law and they can be punished if they didn't abide the law where they got their license from. This somehow put a trust on a gamblers heart by trusting them knowing that the casino owners can be subject to jail if they didn't abide the law or for short scamming the gamblers. It is a "certificate" that the casino shows as a proof of their legitimacy, though I doubt it since there are casinos who scammed people even they posses one of these gambling license.
65  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 19, 2024, 03:27:55 PM
It surprised me to see advertisements from a known betting platform in two of my reference crypto-websites: coinmarketcap and myetherwallet. That platform, although it doesn't have a good reputation here, is known to have a great financial "muscle".

That case was especially salient to me, but crypto casino ads are ubiquitous in our field, and we don't have to go  too far to find a good example of this Roll Eyes
Also Noticed this recently though it seems to be gone now but I have seen one of the so called scam casino site here in
forum that also having their ads in Coinmarketcap and that made me less trust in cmc.
and also   what ads I mostly trust are those casinos that has theirs here with constant update and communications.
Yep. You can spot those scam casino with bombarding advertisement all over the internet. Coinmarketcap has to generate income and as long as the advertiser meet the criteria of coinmarketcap, they can advertise on it. If you are really concerned about the scam casino advertisement that you found on coinmarketcap, you can try to contact them and help people in avoiding that casino.

Scam casino can advertise as much as they want, there are some scam casino that advertised here as well. One example of it is 1xbit that launched their signature campaign here which I guess failed because on how bad their reputation here.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 19, 2024, 07:40:33 AM
Beginners who are desperate to make money will fall for an offer like this , and if you go through the comments sections their are so many people who are so interested in this. Like if you go through the write up of this dude who claims to be bitcoin expert he said those that are finding it difficult to create a wallet he will help in creating the wallet and funding it. This is how many people will make mistakes to accept offer like this just because they want to earn quick.

Spending time to learn pays a lot and it prevent people from making painful mistakes. For those that have knowledge about wallet won't fall victim of allowing anyone to assist to create wallet. Spending time to learn is not a waste, it saves money from entering the wrong hands.

It's a blatant scam. I wonder if newbies can fall on an obvious scam like this. Imagine you a newbie, investing your precious money to not do a simple research about how to use bitcoin. People who are lazy enough to rely on others rather than educating themselves are the one who can get scammed easily. There are  so many opportunities on cryptocurrency but I think newbies should at least learn the fundamentals first and stop thinking that investing on cryptocurrency will make you rich overnight.
67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't you use DEX? on: January 19, 2024, 06:23:54 AM
Cexs just offers beginner friendly environment. It's primary advantage is the ease of use and wide variety of features compared to dexs. DEX is more expensive compared to CEX, every move need gas fee, the cost depends on the blockchain that you are using but generally it is more expensive than CEX. I think we need more user friendly DEX to be made next bull market, popular dexes has a good UI but I believe we need better.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 18, 2024, 10:49:10 AM
How can one control the uncontrollable urge to keep gambling despite the toll it takes on once life.

It's getting worse every day. I'm extremely depressed I have thoughts of unaliving myself more often, some times I feel the betting companies manipulate people spiritually to get them addicted where be playing without plans and strategy. Once a bet place get cut, there is this uncomfortable urge to quickly book another one with the plans of recovering the first money lost but it will end up cutting again.
If you are addicted, try to seek for help. I think that you can't help yourself anymore when it comes with gambling, this is why a psychiatrist or a rehab center could help you because their job is to help you with your addiction. It's hard to blame the casinos since they are a business and they make their income from gamblers, majorly from addicted gamblers who spend non-stop to fulfill their addiction.

The side effects of your addiction are at their worst if you ask me, seek for help immediately.
Medyo maluwag siguro yung thailand about the requirements kaya inuna sila ng binance. As far as I know may plan din ang binance sa pag establish dito sa Pilipinas pero I think in a halt yun dahil sa issues nila within VASP license. Let's hope tlaga na ituloy padin ng binance yung plan nila na patuloy na mag serve sa bansa natin kasi one of the best crypto exchange talaga sila at alam din yan ng mga users nila. I myself would choose binance rather than our local exchanges, andami kasing issue ng local exchange and that's all enough reason why not to use it.
70  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tataas Kaya Ang Awareness Ng MgaTao Sa Bitcoin Kung May Mga Billboard on: January 18, 2024, 09:38:45 AM

Kagaya kay Xian Gaza before, nakakapag pabillboard dahil may pera tapos cinocontent, for the clout chase lang, so baka pwede natin syang gawing sponsor, joke. Kidding aside! malay natin ay may iilang mayayaman ang interesadong magbigay ng pondo pero usually more on online advertisements ko na kasi nakikita all crypto/investment related things
Sa tingin ko kabayan may posibilidad na mangyari yan kung saan ay may isang popular individual na magpopromote ng Bitcoin using billboard though wala pa tayong nakikita sa ngayon pero sure yan in the future. Pero since ang billboard ay only accessible sa iisang area lang like in the heart of a city I think vlogging or social media promotion ay ang pinakadabest na way of advertising since naaabot nito ang kasulok-sulokan ng Pilipinas through mobile devices and or television ads.

71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 18, 2024, 08:55:35 AM
They can't shutdown bitcoin even if they want to. They can ban it but there still some people in their country who can surely access it. We are on the tech side of things and finding a way to access or transact on the blockchain would be an easy peasy way. For sure that the government know this, the best thing they can do is to regulate it and capitalize it as much as they can. Taxing it would be complicated if you ask me, especially on the countries where collecting taxes aren't that strict. If somehow new laws where created about taxing bitcoin, surely there will be new loopholes be created  Tongue

If this happens in your country, you can come to Portugal.

Here, taxes are only paid on gains, relating to buy/sale made in the last year.
In other words, if I sell Bitcoin purchased in 2022, I will not pay tax. But if you sell Bitcoin purchased in 2023, you will already pay tax.

That's why it's the "ideal country" for HOLD.  Cool
This is a good ideal country beside other countries that is legalizing cryptocurrency. Let's see how majority of the countries react on the ever rising adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 18, 2024, 08:31:10 AM
We can't tell what might happen after this years halving, it can be the same as the past bull market where it gained a momentum first before skyrocketing or it might go the other way. All we can do is to speculate with the history and speculate on where and what price should we buy to maximize our profits. My take on buying on halving is it is fine for me for others to buy, I'm sure that when the bull market comes, we all hodlers will be making profits. DCA is a good strategy for me to apply in this situation, you don't need to wait till halving to accumulate. It is proven and tested by me since I'm bullish on bitcoin since last year.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 17, 2024, 02:16:57 AM
I guess this is always a thing with those people who sold their bitcoin early and regretted the possible potential profit they can get more if they waited for some time. I myself regretted selling my bitcoin at many points, I remember that I sold 3 bitcoins @400USD each just to buy a new phone. It is a regret that I have in spending so much money on a mobile phone that currently, I can't use because of old age. There are many stories like this and this is common with the old timers.

I wonder if the people who is listed on the VIP or have a donator position in this forum regretted that they donate bitcoins back then when it is still cheap. Though the custom title/position they have is pretty legendary given that the worth of that "donator" role rank increases as bitcoin go up.

would you answer any important questions?
I think he's not going to answer you or anyone else because the user seems more like a bot than a actual human. It might gets data from one site and post it here and that's it. Look at the activity of the account and the number of posts but it doesn't have any good merits. It seems like the account does every thing on automation and doesn't really have something good to offer.

yes it looks like you are absolutely right. would be bad for players who have a problem there.
anyway why are bot threads area allowed on Bitcointallk?
I  think this is not a  bot thread in the beginning because OP seems to be answering or posting something in the past but just stopped communicating here now and only using bot nowadays.
but that is correct that what if there is a issue that needs to be address then only the support that we can lean on as they have no human representative in this forum.
They lost interest in marketing here I guess? It's obviously a bot thread, even if the company tries to keep making their thread an active one, having a bot doesn't make it a healthy advertisement. One reason why reputable casinos stay here for so long is because they have an active marketing team that is engaging as much as they can. There are gambling threads that is active for too long that people had adopted with the activity on the thread and joined with the discussion, stake and rollbit is an example. They successfully made people engage in their thread regularly helping their thread get bumped.

Sadly, our sentiments will just go in to the trash as there's no really a human from their team noticing our response to their thread. So I we should expect that the bot scenario will still continue.
75  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 16, 2024, 09:09:11 AM
-snip
Posting the same thing on this thread over and over again won't change their decision, as much as I feel bad about your situation please do not spam the thread by posting the same thing multiple times. also, the representative has been inactive for almost 8 months now, I doubt you'll get a response from them here even if you spammed this thread with your complaint.
Yep, it won't help. Their main account here is inactive, the last log in was from last year, hoping to get the money back is impossible given that the casino is scam for years now and the casino don't bother to pay other victims before you. It's a hard reality but you must accept that posting an accusation over and over won't help you in recovering your money. The best way to cope from this is to move on and take the lesson in your heart. Even if 1xbit is pouring money on their marketing, it doesn't mean that they are legit. It is part of their plan and it is effective since there are so many victims that had come asking the same refund that @Hospiljok is requesting.
76  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakaapekto kaya Sa Bitcoin Adoption Sa Mga Nangyayaring Rigodon Sa Ating Bansa on: January 16, 2024, 08:36:14 AM

I hope na yung unity team nila as a front last election is totoo naman, Di nanalo manok ko kaya I'm just hoping for the best nalang especially sa crypto side of things na hindi tayo ma restrict o maapektuhan.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 16, 2024, 02:28:16 AM
A situation where the stake for the bet he won was $1k, the next statement you hear is how wish I knew I would have staked with $5k. The question is, the $5k is it an amount of money that you can be comfortable losing or it's just out of greed that you are not contented with the win amount the $1k gave you.
I have not thought like this before, that had it been I have used higher amount of money to gamble on certain matches or game that I would have won more. But I noticed that I did increased the amount I used to gamble. That was because the more the money that you staked, the more you can win. Although not because of past games won. I do not think more about the lose but just the profit. And the more that I lost at the time.
Having the mindset of regretting  not increasing the amount of bet to be won can be a serious problem for a gambler that he will always think of increasing any game in the future thinking that it will end up with a win. Since gambling is unpredictable their is no need to regret for not increasing the amount because it is not always winning in gambling occur. Planning to increase a bet expectpecting win can end up to be lose.

Having the understanding of accepting every win in gambling whether it is small or not is the best mindset of avoiding greed  that can end up to be lose. The best way to play gamble is to play with what one can afford to lose , let's not be too greedy of a particular win thinking that it is a guarantee to always win bet in the future.
I don't see a problem with increasing bet amounts since there are strategies that force you to increase your bet amounts for it to be effective. I'm more concerned about the capability of the gambler, if the gambler continues to increase the amount at stake to the point that he cannot support it or he couldn't lose it anymore because it can affect him pretty hard, that is the time where the gambler is about to get Fk-uped.

I believe that every gambler should know what there limits at or their capability of handling high bet amounts. It matters really, having no idea what your limit at might push you so much that you get to the point that you are getting greedy on what you are doing.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 16, 2024, 02:10:12 AM
Quite sometimes now i have been active in the gambling section and have pick interest to start gambling i have gone through lots of material in both the forum, i have seen that I can control my emotion as well as controlling my finance this includes;

  • Not involving myself in a revenge gambling
  • Not chasing profit after lost
  • Not involving oneself into compulsive gambling
  • Not solely replying on every game to be 100 percent correct
  • Not hoping that gamble is guaranteed
  • Not gambling with all my income or salaries
  • Among all, gambling for fun and not to enrich oneself

The point is my husband doesn't know that i have been secretly gambling and involving myself with gambling discussions and the rest, So, this morning when i woke something in me keeps telling me i should let him know to understand my involvement  to practice gambling.

Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.
I support gender equality, no matter what gender you are, I personally believe that you should still say that you are doing gambling to your husband given that gambling is an hazardous thing that could possibly lead to addiction, it would be better that your love ones are supportive on the things that you love to do. Though this depends on the person you are telling because we all have different views and opinion about gambling, your husband might be anti-gambling because of the experience he had that you didn't know. He might tell you to stop doing gambling at worst. Evaluate yourself on how much you know about your husband, you are the only one who can understand the possible reaction of your husband.

It's your call fbut personally with the context that you gave, I don't see nothing harmful on saying that you are engaging on gambling activities.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 15, 2024, 02:35:32 PM
Anyway, it is true that joining sports betting won't spend a lot of time. But we need enough time to analyze the possibility for the matches. No one just places their bets without analysis. If it happens, the chance to win will be very small and we only rely on the luck. So, to increase the chance to win, we usually make certain analysis deeply.
Is there anyone who gambles without doing their proper analysis?
Of course we all need time to properly predict and review our games to place us in a higher chance of winning, we can't just rely on the fact that we knows the teams proper hence we could just place our bet and expect to have winning. It doesn't work like that we must thoroughly go through our games before finally place bet.

There are probably some people out there who are involved in sports betting without doing any analysis, ignorance is one of the main factors in this and I would say this is mostly done by people who are too focused on winning, they do not realize that they do not have a proper understanding of the world of sports along with not knowing about how good the team they choose to bet on is. On the other hand most of the people who choose this type of bet I think are those who like the world of sports in the sense of having at least experience and understanding because skills are needed to increase the winning percentage to be closer, but even so we still can't be sure of the results 100% because obviously it doesn't mean sports betting can make you always win, it's like combining analytical skills with luck, so if at the same time luck doesn't come to complement then obviously it is very possible for the final result to not match what we want. So with this means that risk management is still very much needed because there is still a possibility for risk to occur.
There are people who still do this I guess. People who do YOLO bets and people who just rely on other bet and copy them, these are the common type of bettors that don't really do research. I will say that it is not a good way to do bets especially that the chance of losing are high given that there's no really good information that supports the bet that they had made. It's just pure gambling. These type of people also has no risk management in my opinion, they didn't bother in lessening the chance of losing in the first place. It's the sheer luck on what makes them win the bets that they are doing.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't only pray for mass adoption, start HODLING!! on: January 15, 2024, 09:44:50 AM

I'm not saying anyone should go on start telling people about how much bitcoin they have accumulated, all I'm saying is start your own bitcoin journey if you haven't, stop praying for good things when your not planning on beign a partaker
That's it , people keep talking about bitcoin here and there actually even in this forum there
are lots of talk that we need to Buy and hold bitcoin but ask them how much bitcoin they owned for
sure their answers are just fake because the truth is they even choose to buy and hold shitcoins t
han bitcoin because they do believe in easy money than a working proress.

Buy bitcoin now and thank us later guys , be a HODL even with small amount to start with.
I believe that majority of people in the cryptospace are here for profits, no wonder why there are still people who choose to risk on shitcoins that are proven to be trash and unsustainable, it is just because the profit potential they can get holding or trading it is much much better than holding bitcoin. It's their money and life, we can't do anything about their investment. The best thing we can do when they somehow failed is to help them recover and educate them well on things that they should be doing.
