401  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: September 30, 2023, 07:27:19 PM
My plan is to retire early. Cryptocurrency is I think my gateway to that early retirement as I am trying my best to accumulate as much crypto as possible. If I profit enough, I guess I'll make a business out of it that can produce income to me without a burden job like having multiple rentals or flipping things in the market. It suck to work on a job but it is currently the one that supply me money to buy crypto. I don't plan to live a glamorous life after retirement but I want to have money and asset that can make me survive and live longer without the stress I'm currently having.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 30, 2023, 06:30:37 PM
over expectation is surely a way to lose money , specially in gambling that we all knew that luck seems to be distancing .
why need to seek for great winning when you are playing just to have fun? and destruction of atmosphere is part of how we must deal in gambling .
if you cannot manage to control your emotion then you must not gamble at all.
actually gambling must be for fun , and only winning to be consider as bonus.

Starting from the bonus, most gamblers are ruined because they are greedy for the bonuses they want to get a lot, this is why many people lose everything. Playing gambling should be enjoyed with fun, not with high hopes. but most beginners expect too much and a feeling of thirst for power and loss of control will arise, wanting to get everything. the long journey will find the right point on how to play gambling, how to enjoy playing.

This is certainly what is felt by beginners who have just entered the world of gambling, most of the beginners they only think about the victory they will get instead of thinking about the defeat they will feel,
Moreover, gambling is not just about tricks or patterns to win but luck that will give victory, luck in gambling will not happen in every game, there will be times to lose and win in a game, everyone wants victory as well as those felt by gamblers, especially those felt by beginners who have just played gambling who feel a small victory, they are not aware of the defeat that will be fatal and will harm themselves, of course sooner or later there will be losses that they experience in terms of economy or other things.

They do not realize that gambling is a game that has a big bad impact and not all gamblers will feel a big win, even though they realize that gambling has been regulated by workers in it who will regulate the game, so there is a high probability of defeat that they will get but those who have just been given a small win will continue to play with the curiosity of wanting to win big.
Most new gamblers has this kind of high hopes of victory in their first try. Those who wins on their first try has the probability of play again but those who experience defeat will experience different emotions like regret, revenge and other emotions that differs from person to person depending on how they see their loss. It's just that there are many gambling winners but the number of losers are way more than the winners, it's logical because casino is a business and not everyone can win. I believe that gambling had bring much negativity to people compared to the positivity that people get, I'm talking about the number of people who experience negative effects after they gamble in over all.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin and forget the investment on: September 30, 2023, 05:52:12 PM
Bitcoin investment, this is the opportunity for someone who wants to invest in bitcoin to invest in bitcoin without looking back, because anyone that invest in bitcoin now will make a profit during bullrun, the price of bitcoin is fluctuating and it does want to up since the price has being to twenty six thousand [26] is over one month or less than one month the price is being unrotational for price, I think that any one that plan to become a billionaire in bitcoin this is the opportunity to invest in bitcoin against next bullrun.

The way I'm looking at next bullrun am thinking that the bullrun will be something that will push bitcoin price  to approach hundreds thousands [100] for the price, but people will not invest now. I split my funds currently to different of coins expecting that if I don't make profit in any of the coins when bullrun comes I will surely make profit in bitcoin because bitcoin price now is no longer going downward or going upwards, but any move the price will make to go up the price will increase, I'm expecting the price of bitcoin to rise in 2025 and 2026 so any investment in bitcoin  should be expected till next two years or three years time. Summary, invest in bitcoin and forget about the investment and hope that you will make profit after some years coming.
I have the exact same strategy LOL. My portfolio currently consist of 40% bitcoin and the rest is on altcoins. If ever I lost some of my investment on altcoins due for half of them are gems or at risk of not glowing up in the bull market, I can cover up my losses in my bitcoin investment. Though I don't forget that I have a investment on bitcoin since I'm doing a DCA strategy in it and I like checking my wallet if there's no problem in it like being stolen or some sort. I like this strategy and hope we all succeed when bull market comes and make good amount of profit.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cryptocurrency illegal in some countries? on: September 30, 2023, 05:21:51 PM
In many countries, it isn't illegal, however the countries that have made it illegal do so for many reasons, volatility is one of the most often cited reasons, as is energy use, concerns over destabilization, or the ease with which criminals' activities can be financed and conducted using them.
Volatility is never the reason why cryptocurrency is not accepted in some countries. Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is a uncensored, temper-proof, decentralized, digital currency that puts power in the hands of the people. Government cannot control the way people spend their money because it cannot be frozen, so they see it as a threat to fiat.

All transactions with cryptocurrency are registered on the blockchain. It cannot be doctored and it can be traced unlike fiat transactions that can be deleted or erased from the system. BTW, research has it that fiat[1] is the most laundered currency in the world by criminals.

1. https://www.zippia.com/advice/money-laundering-statistics/
Government are simply scared that they can't control it and they have no power to do anything about the transaction. The only thing they can do is to simply regularize in using it or ban it in their countries. They show what bitcoin can be use on negative things like money laundering, increased scams and others but they hide the fact that they won't capitalize in it. We know where we are headed but we can't do anything if these countries ban the unstoppable future.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Youth Gambling on: September 30, 2023, 04:41:52 PM
-snip
Some have said that gambling addiction is a mental disorder and i agree with that opinion, in some cultures gambling is part of their culture but as time goes by the younger generation is increasingly being given easy internet access, they can even open a gambling account without having to go online require to carry out KYC.  Even though there are pros and cons of KYC, to prevent underage gamblers it must be implemented, apart from that the government can also monitor underage gamblers, they have more authority to deal with it than us (ordinary people)
Even though KYC has been carried out, it doesn't stop the younger generation from getting closer to gambling. This can be seen from the many young people who can access the internet easily so that the young generation may gamble. With the popularity of online gambling, the younger generation can find it online and start gambling. If the younger generation cannot filter all the information well, they will only get involved in gambling and become gamblers. Initially, this young generation may find a place to play and an opportunity to earn money, but gradually, they become gambling addicts. This makes many young people able to gamble easily with the help of the internet and their devices. Those who are already addicted to gambling will experience long-term mental disorders.
We are headed that way, online casinos is way more accessible than the physical casino which requires ID verification if you look a minor to them where online casinos will require KYC when you withdraw from the casino. The internet has so many advantages but disadvantages as well including the access of casino sites to minors or at young age people that can cause hazards like addiction. The evolution of the internet had given everybody an access to the internet, there are things that youth shouldn't do in the internet like browsing on porn sites but we all know that majority of the youth population knows the sites and accessed them at least once. The thing that elderly should do is to discourage them in doing gambling and tell them all of the bad things that can happen to them.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have any DCA plan on casino on: September 29, 2023, 10:44:36 PM
I don't have any plan in accumulating casino tokens because I don't have any interest in them as well as insights of me getting a much profit in it when the bull run comes. It would be better for me to just invest on bitcoin or other altcoins in the market that I think is much worthy my investment. I simply just don't see casino token as a profitable asset, they are placed on the niche side of the market where gamblers are the only on who will utilize it and not the masses so yeah, probably stick on bitcoin and other altcoins.
407  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: September 29, 2023, 09:11:25 PM
Sadly responsible gambling is always being considered after experiencing loss in gambling. Typical gambler preferred to learn from experience which is through the pain of losing. It’s nice to see casino highlighting this important advice for all their customers.
Very true. I have personally experienced this myself on several occasions and learnt from those experiences which is why I usually advise gamblers, punters, traders etc to invest only what you are willing to lose.

It's definitely easier said than done, but it's 100% accurate and helps provide peace of mind in the crazy world of gambling.
Yep me to. I learned hard from the experience I have that's why I believe on the quote "charge to experience". If the experience of losing is quite enjoyable to me, I will learn from it but if the loss is awful, I will never try that experience again. This is base on different hobby and other life experiences and not just on gambling. This is why having a allowance on what you can lose is important, don't risk everything on the first try. Especially on gambling where we are betting something valuable, don't try if the asset you have is important to the point that you can't lose it.
408  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sherbet.com - $1,000 Welcome Package - #1 Social Casino - $15,000 Weekly Race 🤑 on: September 29, 2023, 08:38:28 PM
Nice to see you back here. I played at Sherbet several times, I also participated as a participant in your previous campaign. I thought you wouldn't be back, but it looks like you're starting a new campaign and some interesting games. Hopefully you will stay here for a long time and be part of the forum
When a casinon joins Bitcointalk as a newbie, a new casino here, there is massive doubt about legitimacy and reputation of the casino, its provably fair games and question like will they pay users for wins and even big wins.

It takes time to clear doubt and build up reputation but time flies so fast. We see, like a blink of eyes, like yesterday but Sherbet has already been here about a half of year. Soon they will celebrate a first anniversary in Bitcoin Talk forum.
Yep, not every casino can last a year here, there are many casino who disappeared without a trace because of lack of traffic and I guess casino owners gave up promoting in this forum or even a halt in their service. Those casino who matured here became trusted by the community given that they haven't done anything wrong and provide good service to the gamblers. It is really the test of time before becoming a reputable casino. It is good that this casino had a lot of traffic in there ANN thread despite of being nearly new here.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2023, 07:51:36 PM
These are the methods you can use to earn free cryptocurrency

Eg :

1. AMA(Ask me anything)
2. Testnet
3. Play to earn games
4. Bounty
5. Ambassador Programs

Yeah ambassador and bounty campaign are actually cool ways though but it has became obsolete because especially bounty campaign it doesn't pay a decent amount to the hunters since the project isn't that trusted except for some bounty's that they want to pay hunters with stablecoin like usdt, busd or any other reputable cryptocurrency that can be immediately tradable. There have been series of bounties that launches every single day but doesn't meet up their target if a participant keep doing bounty's without any earning at least $10 to $50 they could get discouraged since no payment is forth coming. Likewise to the ambassadorial program most project pays with their native tokens to their ambassadors, but if talks about mods they are being paid in usdt for their services at least is actually good work on some projects doesn't accept people because of trust issues.
Being a bounty campaign manager is not as lucrative as it has been. Projects are paying way way low compared before where bounty managers receives more than the bounty hunters. Though being a bounty manager today is better than being a bounty hunter since being a bounty manager assures you that you can get something like a pay for your work. It's a good thing that more and more bounty managers are requiring bounty projects to give another coin that has a value, even if it is small, atleast bounty hunters still has an assurance that they can get something from their work.
410  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: September 29, 2023, 07:02:06 PM
I do still actively seen their ads on youtube about of their company which we could really say that they are really that putting that  focus in other means or ways of marketing rather than focusing into this place yet they
do know that they do really have that bad reputation here on this space and this is why they wont really be trying to fix it out. Its true that majority of noobs doesnt really care about making up some research first before they would really be making out  some deposit. They would really be just only doing this on the time that they had already experienced some issues or problems which they must have done it earlier for them
to avoid such hassle and headache.

It doesnt really cost you and arm and leg on trying out to make some research and typing up that "1xbit scam" on seach bar, then you would really be finding
tons of search results on which you could really be able to realize for yourself that its better to avoid this one considering those issues and shady behavior
is really that severe.  Make use of your own common sense most of  the  time.
They are still active and it will be as long as they haven't been caught by the authorities. The thing is, it is likely that new gamblers or new to online gambling don't do their research on casinos before depositing. It has been proven by this casino that they can still scam people even after a long time that they started to get known as a scam casino. It's been years since they scammed people and they are still continuing it because they know they can still get money from people which are mostly newbies in this industry. We can't blame newbies from getting scammed as they are the victim and convinced by the advertisement of 1xbit, what more about being scammed by them. The only thing we can do is to show people that this casino is a scam and hope that those people who research first before depositing will find this thread.
411  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga upcoming crypto web events sa mga mahihilig umattend on: September 28, 2023, 05:37:00 PM
I'm think going to the Philippines web3 festival this november, though not really sure because of my schedule pero if free ako is babyahe ako papunta ng BGC para umattend. I missed the Philippine blockchain week kahit may binigay saking ticket dun, marami akong kakilala na pumunta dun at medyo may regret lang ako dahil di ako pumunta dahil sa busy sched ko. If may mga kakilala ako pupunta sa web3 festival is satingin ko pupunta ako. I hope matackle sila ng new insights about web3 and the future of it. Ayos din pala yuing mga guest nila including Nas daily and Jihoz na satingin ko kilala natin lahat.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with spam and scam tokens on my wallet? on: September 28, 2023, 05:11:56 PM
Leave that alone. There's nothing to gain if you interact with it and there's a chance that you can get hacked if you are unlucky enough. Don't be blinded by tokens that has a fake value that appears on your wallet, most of the time those are scam tokens. I had these useless tokens that were sent to me by random people, I abandoned my old wallet before that has so many useless tokens including those shitcoins that I didn't intend to be stuck on my wallet for years of using it. Better be safe than sorry.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are decentralized domains still a thing? on: September 28, 2023, 04:38:37 PM
Maybe decentralized domain trend will come again. It was so much trending before that I bought it to myself personally. I haven't touched it since then and the value of it depleted so much. I don't think I can get back the money I spent in buying that domain but yeah it's one of my "investment" last bull market that failed and I lost money on. I hope that there will be a time where it can have it's demand again so I can sold the domain that is rotting in my wallet.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 28, 2023, 03:21:25 PM
For me, the best practice is to have a separate account for games, an email and phone number that I use only for this activity. It’s easier to separate the industry and everyday life, and thus the chance of my account being hacked is much less since it doesn’t appear almost anywhere.I know several people who do the same.
What do you mean by games? Separate account for each games on a single casino? I think it's not right, maybe separate account account for each casino. I'm talking about the email and phone number that is used on a casino. It's not a bad way to avoid being hit by a catastrophic loss in case you account gets hacked but I think it is a hassle to have so many alternative email especially phone number where not every country can get multiple phone number. It's not that clear for me on what do you exactly mean by separate account for games but that is my guess.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: September 27, 2023, 06:12:45 PM
You are not alone. Seeing my first wallet transacting a whole BTC in just one transaction is simply amazing and somehow regrettable. I wonder if there are lucky people who revisited their first wallet just now and saw something that they can consider as "spare" bitcoin at that time. Not lucky for me given that I wiped my entire wallet up to 0 balance. I regret that I bought physical things before that has zero to no value in our current time, I would be rich if I didn't touch it for years.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: September 27, 2023, 01:24:39 PM
Setting up a budget in gambling has been the primary advice nowadays, however, this is easily forgotten by gamblers when they already started gambling. The thing is, what they really need is control over themselve. Maybe because of the adrenaline rush, or they really let their greediness overcome them until they no longer have any money in their pocket or as long as they have the money, they will continue to gamble as they can't control themselves anymore.

Setting up a budget isn't hard to do but most gamblers think they can control themselves and that's their mistakes because the brains release more fell good dopamine when gambling and that it becomes very difficult to stop gambling. Setting up a budget can be achieved by only depositing the amount you want to use for gambling for that day and don't top up if you run out of money to use and play more because it means you're over betting and that's not a good practice.

When you do this always, you'll develope the discipline to stop gambling when you have lost all your deposit for that day and if this habits continues, you'll begin to lose interest in gambling as you gamble less and turn your attention to other activities that'll benefit you.

This is true, I myself had done it. I'm trying to change my gambling habit at that time and I am still new on budgeting my casino funds. I overestimated myself and deposit most of the balance of one of my wallet into the casino and my mindset is if I reached this amount (on a loss) I will immediately stop. It is easier to be said than done to be honest, I exceed my budget by spending more, with my full understanding that I am breaking my rules I just had set. This is why it is better to deposit the exact amount you are planning to spend on a casino on that gambling session.
417  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasinos.com - The Best Comparison of Crypto Casinos on: September 27, 2023, 04:40:19 AM
Reviews should be based on the users and not on the self usage. For this you could create some of the pros and cons towards every platform. Users can select the pros and cons based on their experience and an additional space to mention anything else about the platform. Based on that providing ranks seems to be more effective than self evaluation.

Going through the site, it is possible to get detailed information on the different gambling platforms. We can easily understand about the bonuses and all other available features available on the gambling site. It looks more useful for the beginners who are in search of proper platform for their gambling needs.
I like this idea. Imagine gamblers are the who are putting the pros and cons, they also have some voting power in the list. The highest votes in both pros and cons are the one who will have a highly visibility in the pros and cons list. At least with this one, the bias review or opinion will be lessen and the community are the one who gets to decide. There are so much crypto casino reviewer in existent and gamblers are hardly to find the expectation they are having from these casino reviewer websites given that there are flood of bias or paid casino reviewers. A community base casino review website might be a good thing in the future, one of the problem in this is on how not to get dummy or abused votes from dummy accounts.

I remember fragrantica (perfume review site) concept, in this kind of idea.
418  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cryptoplay.io - Casino and Sportsbook | Race and Rise to Riches - $2M | VIP ⚽️🎰 on: September 27, 2023, 03:55:43 AM
People, run as far away from Cryptoplay as possible. It is the biggest scam in the betting world that I have seen in the last 20 years.

Yesterday they stole all the profit I made on sports betting with the ridiculous explanation that I used arbitrage with another service, but they couldn't provide me with any proof. Apparently, their sports provider has that evidence, but they don't even want to tell me the name of that provider.
If you take a closer look at their competitions and rankings in the casino, you will see that there are very few players. I managed with a rollover of only 6000 dollars (everything was played in the sportsbook) to enter the 80th place of the ranking list in which they supposedly share 2 million dollars. Don't be naive...
OP had easily countered your claims with a simple screenshot they had posted here. If you are confident with your claim against this casino, you can post a scam accusation in the proper board and make sure to put some screenshots. You are lucky enough that OP is willing to return the differences despite the explanation about the the violation you had made. Though I'm still not sure who is telling the truth since no one had provided some strong evidences between both of your claims.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 27, 2023, 02:47:22 AM
Many countries prohibit gambling, to the extent that they do not licence any casino in their country. This however did not completely prevent the citizens of such countries from gambling. They go extra miles by using hidden or rerouted IP addresses to gamble. Even when the casinos block these users they keep attempting to cheat both their country's law and the casino.

Also, many countries have official gambling age but their citizens also violate this age standard.
All these abnormal ways of gambling promote gambling abuse and possible addiction which further makes gambling a societal menace.

Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools. Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?
I think it's not right to compare it to sex education given that the primary point of sex education is not to avoid doing sex but to control it to a manner that they are in the proper mind and has a preparedness to do it. Gambling will not be taught to the extent that the government or school are expecting us to do it in the near future. Sex education is being taught so that we won't have a sexual problems in the future but teaching gambling to students will literally make a problem in the future. This is why no one really teach gambling in secondary level of education.
420  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: September 25, 2023, 07:26:59 PM

This will be a very big scandal if ever ma leak yung database ng PhilHealth.
