441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 21, 2023, 03:48:12 PM
My case is different, I am in a country where they do not require me to pay taxes for playing in a cryptocurrency casino, when I enter a casino that uses local money, that is why I do not think I have to pay a fee, the only thing they ask me for is identification and I enter, in a casino I am not contemplating paying because it would be somewhat silly to ask that they charge me for using cryptocurrencies in a casino, I don't see it well either because freedom would be ending in these things, I believe that the KYC of the casinos is sufficient as For us, paying more just to play in a casino is like paying a tax for having the right to have fun, there is little logic in that.

My case is like yours because I haven't had an experience when my local casino ask me to pay a tax on the amount I want to withdraw because those money are profits that I made gambling using their casino. If the government wants to tax, they should increase the taxes for casino because they're making big profits because of the amount of individuals that use their casino daily and are losing money to them. The casino are making big profits already therefore they should pay for us.

It's not right for we to pay for the fun that we're having when we're gambling using casino, for those countries that their government is taxing their profits, they should protest because it isn't right, will the government pay them compensation when they lose while gambling.
Same here, I haven't experience being tax because of my casino profit, maybe because I don't declare it or their literally no tax for physical casino profits in our country, idk to be honest.

If the government impose tax on individual gambling profits, the citizens doesn't really have a choice especially if it's the law. There's nothing that a gambler can do unless the gambler play on an underground or illegal casino, for sure those type of casino is not taxable. It's fortunate enough that the country we are living in is allowing gambling and the casino owners are the one who are paying the high taxes to the government.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 21, 2023, 03:28:09 PM
Kids will surely be entertained on flashy games like slots and would probably watch you the entire gameplay. There are other games that kids can potentially be entertained this is why they will be attracted watching you. I'm sure the chance that they want to play it too is high, this is why we cannot let us be seen by kids playing on an online casino. It would be the triggering point of them to try gambling because of the curiosity we gave them.

I wonder if those card games that children play on old basic windows operating system before was once motivated those children to do gambling.

Correct mate, as you have said confirmation from the casino is another good point because that would enable you be informed and aware of happenings and development so as not to be taken unawares. If you are confused of any mail sent to you, you have every right to call the casino attention to alerting them of the possibilities of the email been used to scam their clients so that they would be aware of the happenings and also alert all their registered clients to not fall for the scam mails they receive from the email. This would save people of the stress of being scammed and building trust with their casino services.

Scamming mostly happens through Email so if you think that what you received is too malicious, then try to do a deep research and check if it's from the legit site. Try not to click links if you aren't sure of it as scammers nowadays are smart enough to fool many users so we have to be careful and skeptical.
I've been receiving lots of malicious emails before but when I decided to block them all, I could say that I'm now safe from scam and malicious emails. It's better to be precautious than to be a risk taker.
The rate of Internet fraud is increasing day after day and it shows that, as day breaks, scammers also improve their methods of scamming people. Some scam casinos after they have been exposed to their users, they will reopen another scam site that looks legit and very different from their previous one saved, so we, as a gambler, whether a regular gambler or not, we should be very careful with the casinos we signed up for, so that our funds will be save and not diverted to an unknown account.
I noticed that email is the easiest way scammers get access to our accounts or systems, so let's be very vigilant.
Knowing that email can easily be faked, it is known to be the source of scam, hacks and other malicious intent. I agree that day by day, new method of scamming are being introduced to potential victims and some of them are really need a technical knowledge to understand and to detect it. There are hackers that are really skilled and they are the one who are keeps evolving once their scam method is exposed to the public that makes people aware. I wonder if they get a satisfaction feeling whenever they hacked someone or steal from them. Being a hacker is hard but being a potential victim is much more harder. We need to maintain our security and always be attentive on what we are doing online especially if we have something that has a value.
444  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 20, 2023, 02:51:48 PM

I have wanted to participate because I have seen that they make high-level works of art that what I do would seem somewhat ridiculous, because the finishes of the works are perfect, I do not see errors, and every time the participants are still there they can improve a lot more, that's just what I admire about this contest, and it's not because of AI as some try to discredit the contest, it's because there are actually people who like this and make great works, I could do mine in a dream, but my style It is more basic and more elaborate, nothing so perfect, I will continue to see how they Continue with their works but they Set the bar to Measure themselves too high.

the more you compete the more you will imporve mate.

Try to partake now so you will find your self longing for bigger chances, don't make their presentation hinders you this round mate.

and also I see other basic art creation yet , they manage to join , even without winning but at least they tried .

give it a chance mate, let us encourage you to have one entry .
True, some of those participants are seasoned participants who just keep trying on winning the spots of the Roobet art competition. Sometimes you can find that the art of other competitors seem intimidating because of how good it is. I believe that practicing more will bring you to success especially that you will train the art style you are using and you will get a grasp on how Roobet team decide the winner of each art contest they make. The competitors are putting their 100% effort in making their art so putting your 100% might not be enough but with the experience and practice, the chance of a competitor winning can improve each competition.
445  Economy / Economics / Re: Tim Gurner wants Unemployment to increase. Employers have lost their power. on: September 20, 2023, 02:06:47 PM
It's just that it is proven that works aren't that much limited on the employees local area nowadays. The work from home setup has proved that it is effective even if your client or employer is on another part of the world, employees have an additional options on who or what kind of work do they want to enter. It is not like before where people need to travel away from their local area to the business district just to get a well paying job. I believe that work from setup is effective, depending on the job of course. As long as the employee is responsible and the employer is supportive, the job will done right. Actually there are companies that had retained the work from home setup that had been utilized since the pandemic.

It's not that employers lost their power, employees just have other options.
446  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: September 20, 2023, 01:40:13 PM
Equating advertisement with market manipulation is a misunderstanding of market operations. Advertising is about getting in touch with people, giving them information, and maybe even convincing them. Do you always buy what you see in ads? No! People can make choices. They think about it, figure it out, and then make a choice

Market manipulation, especially in crypto with the so-called "whales", is an entirely different beast. Setting up the game is what it's all about, not informing or convincing. It's not persuasion when prices drop because a whale chose to spread false rumors or sell a lot of a coin. It's economic treachery

If you think that advertising and market influence are the same thing, you need to learn the big differences between them. To get through the complicated modern economy and fight for fair, open market practices, we need a good understanding of it
Most of the time advertisement can't be consider as market manipulation since I agree with you that people has choices and advertisement goal is to convince people to buy or use their products. But there are times that it can be a little bit manipulative like showing an advertisement that shows defamation to another obvious product company. It's illegal but advertisers can pass through it by doing indirect defamation to another company like branding as X and comparing. This is widely done before and the manipulation happen when people starts to avoid this Brand X that is showed to the advertisement.

The contents of the advertisement maybe fact but it's an evil thing to do when advertising. I've seen it done back then, rumors can start about that certain brand which positively affects the one who put up the advertisement given that they are the one who are on the good side of that advertisement.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: September 20, 2023, 01:10:26 PM
Let's imagine that you have half a million US-Dollar/Euro/GBP and want to feel financially safe and build a better future.
1. Real estate - It's probably one of the safest investment option out there. Inflation rises, rent and apartment prices rise too, if inflation turns into deflation, your rent/apartment price still remains the same. With half a million, you can buy two or more good apartments in eastern Europe and live on your rent income.

2. Cryptocurrencies are very volatile but rewarding. If you have a discipline and don't let your emotions take control over your decisions, then you can probably grow your capital by 200-500% a year. At least I think so, I think that's possible if one spends most of his time on exchanges and if necessary, spends some nights. So, crypto is very volatile and rewarding but another problem here is that you are dependent on exchanges, what will you do if they don't let you withdraw? Another problem is that you have to take care of your coins because once they are gone, they are gone forever.

3. Business - It's like an income generated by Proof Of Work algorithm. Depends on the business and the person, one can achieve a huge financial success and influence or a total failure. But a big and successful business can outperform real estate and crypto investments. To my mind, proof of work is the only thing that can deal with absolutely any kind of financial crisis and disasters.

Which one would you choose from these and why?

All of this takes time. With the experience and knowledge I have today, I probably would choose to take cryptocurrency as my first choice. I accustomed myself on the volatility of cryptocurrency and has a less to zero reaction to dumps knowing that it is normal. Investing on bitcoin and waiting for years might be the easiest among the bunch because I personally have a trust on bitcoin that it will rise again when the bull market arrives.

Second option would be real estate, less risky as long as you know what you are doing but can take much work compared to cryptocurrency especially if you are on a renting business where there are maintenance that needs to be done.

Third option would be business. Business is hard to grow depending on what kind of business you are running. There are so many saturated market out there that it's hard to build a brand. This is the most physically tiring and need 100% of your time. The capital needed might be low depending on the business you are entering and the success will also depends on many key factors.

448  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May politician kaya na pro Bitcoin or may crypto investments? on: September 19, 2023, 08:59:59 PM

As far as I know nag venture din si Bam Aquino which is a former senator sa cryptocurrency. Nakita ko siya na lumabas at inintroduce ng YGG as an Angel investor nila. Nakita din before nung hype pa yung axie na umaattend siya sa mga event ng YGG. Not really sure if he is still active now sa cryptocurrency at if meron siyang bitcoin kasi hindi naman niya dinidisclose yung information na yun.

Manny Pacquiao is also nasa NFT space given na may mga indorsement siya na NFT games right now. Di ko rin sure if meron siyang bitcoin since di niya din dinidisclose pero I'm sure may holdings siya nung mga pinopromote niya at possible na meron din yung mga coins na ginawa using his name.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: September 19, 2023, 08:11:03 PM
It's true that learning everything is essential to to every investment, real estate, stocks and etc. But for me, you don't need to understand the whole concept of bitcoin at first before you invest. You need to learn how to buy and sell, and how to store it. It will surely take you sometime before you learn the whole concept of it by reading the white paper of bitcoin. If you are just here for profit, learning the basic is fine. In fact, I still don't know how bitcoin works technically, I mean on the deeper side of blockchain, thus I earned profit from bitcoin because I have it.

Some traders wil win with their holding capacity even though they lag with the crypto knowledge.I had some friends who had earned more during the Covid pump in the bitcoin price. They just holding their bitcoin over a decade,at the first five years they was offline to the crypto. After the 2017,they back to the crypto trading.Luckily they had recovered their old bitcoin wallet. You don’t believe my friends become the millionaire from the holding bitcoin in their wallet. In this they never made any hard work except the wallet recovery,in this the win was due to the long holding.
I'm sure it's amazing to see people who has their bitcoin in their wallet over a decade. Your friend has a stroke of luck recovering his bitcoin wallet given that I'm sure that there's a bunch of bitcoin in it. It would be an amazing experience to witness that kind of instant millionaire event, your friend seems like he won in a lottery. There are lucky people that doesn't have the grasp of idea about bitcoin technical side of things but changed their life because of it. Maybe it's enough to just learn the basic of bitcoin, learning the technical side of things is for people who are really into it or has plans on utilizing it for their project or personal reason.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage your money on gambling sites. on: September 19, 2023, 07:32:42 PM
Some people might not want to withdraw their money from casinos because the fees are to high. If there is a casino you gamble at frequently then you will lose a lot in fees by constantly withdrawing. I usually only keep a modest sum in casino wallets and will withdraw once a certain threshold is reached. Some casinos might adjust their fees dynamically depending on the state of the mempool. It is wise to take advantage of this and make your withdrawals during a period when network fees are low.
Or maybe, use a coin that has a fast and cheap transaction fee. Fees really sums up if you are constantly withdrawing on every gambling session you have, I experienced it and that's why I started to use altcoins that has a low transaction fee that you will not even notice after withdrawing. We all have our strategy in lowering that transaction fees in depositing and withdrawing but one think is for sure, don't leave your money on a casino especially if you plan on returning for a long time. We can't be sure about casinos nowadays knowing that there's a recent "reputable" casino that ran gamblers money and disappeared.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: September 19, 2023, 07:04:30 PM
I used to gamble since childhood but only with close people because it was not normal in my country. But since i was 25 years old i started gambling online but with very little money because i didn't have enough money roots. Also in 2021 i made a lot of money from gambling but due to a small accident i lost a lot of money. However my first online gambling experience was a loss where i lost around $1000 something but after a few days i was winning and in almost every game.
It seems that you have a lot of capital for your first gambling experience. $1k USD is a large amount for me if we consider it as a gambling budget but it's nice that you recovered after playing again. If I were in your place and lose $1k USD at my first online gambling, I would probably won't gamble again knowing that I lose so much. It would be a disaster for me and would take a time for me to recover for such loses. I will just stick into physical casino where I find it comfortable.
452  Local / Pilipinas / Re: isang banko magooffer ng bitcoin trading sa app nila on: September 19, 2023, 06:33:09 PM
Naku!

Yung mga existing users is I think yung magiging first customer nila for the sake of trying the feature, maraming mas better options kasi if trading usapan eh. Mas mararamdaman ng Unionbank yung increase sa users nila ng bitcoin trading app once pumasok na ang bull market since maraming tao Pilipino ulit mag kaka interes mag trade ng bitcoin.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 18, 2023, 05:30:29 PM
Online gambling platforms exists not only to get you some lucky wins, it's also another form of entertainment,  but I will like to ask if truly you people are getting that entertainment from gambling?

We can see what the world is becoming now, things are getting harder and what's on peoples mind is how to make even more money, there is no time, there are too many responsibilities,  are you sure you getting entertained?

Some people already feel like they are not having fun, because what they have in mind is making money, to all people that feels this way, If you feel like you aren't having fun I believe for the greater good, it's better to take a break from gambling and do something else.

Do you agree or disagree?

I believe that most people end up messing themselves up with gambling because to them everything is money, money, money, and this can stop your brain from becoming a responsible gambler, the sense of protecting yourself from gambling addiction can get lost if you are already not having fun with gambling anymore.
That is what I'm currently doing right now. I've been exposed to gambling since I was an addict and there are games that are used to be fun and now it's quite boring even I know how to play the game and I can possibly earn money in that game. I only play occasionally nowadays and most of my gambling sessions are for past time and fun purposes only, not for the sake of money anymore. I can control my spending even I only play sometimes because I have a allocated budget for it. If you are not having fun, take a break and slow down your gambling activities. Learn new hobbies or interest, there's a chance that you can completely stop from doing gambling.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: September 18, 2023, 03:35:11 PM
Bruh, I had been thinking to convert my airdrop since price was hovering above $1.3, kept procrastinating and now it has dumped this bad.
thats the thing with altcoin, the more you hold the more it will lose its price unless you are patient enough to wait until next bullrun even then
there are no guarantee that it will rise in the next bullrun meaning the procrastination costs a lot of money.
i myself also holds some arbitrum and still haven't liquidated till this day, i don't know whether i should regret, after all i got the airdrop for free.
on the other hand, i'm losing potential money.
Well let's see in the upcoming bull market if ARB thrives. I have a friend who qualified and got his ARB from airdrop but he rushed sold his airdrop tokens, he told me that he like the project but the decision he made by selling his ARB is to try to buy ARB in it's lowest price. Today he told me he still accumulates ARB using the funds he got from selling his airdrop ARB. I myself is also accumulating ARB so we all gonna be disappointed if this project drop dead during the bull market. After all we invest for long term, let's see.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban's Metamask was hacked on: September 18, 2023, 03:12:59 PM
Imagine that Mark Cuban who is a successful entrepreneur and has an absolute idea on what he is doing is hacked. I doubt that he got fished because of those 5 ETH, 5 ETH is nothing to him and there's a reason why he said about that thing. This is why we should be careful on what we are showing in the internet because all of us can possibly be a victim. He may be targeted by some hacker (knowing that he's rich) or he do this kind of false hack to himself to avoid tax or show hackers that he doesn't have anything in his wallet any more, in short Mark Cuban might want to show hackers that they can't gain anything from him anymore.

There's so much speculation running through my head because of this topic, we need clearer evidence or explanation why this accident occur.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 18, 2023, 02:22:21 PM
Don't expect an assurance of a 100x profit. The reality is most of those low cap tokens die without any revival but yeah the good story that you heard from the massive gains comes from those hidden gems in the market. Those are hidden so expect them to bloom in the bull market and these coins are harder to see. Thousand of coins created every month and very few has a potential, that's what you need to aim for if you want good profit. Most of the investor who risk at investing at low cap coins lose a bunch as they think that once they hit a jackpot of a coin, all of those losses will be recovered instantly. It's a very risky way to do investing and I don't really suggest it.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your altcoins for bull session (Between Rank 30-200) on: September 18, 2023, 01:45:23 PM
From the said range, I'm currently accumulating two coins that I can share openly. Arbitrum and Aptos are my picks for the next bull run, I think those two has a potential to become a trend in the next bull market, their price isn't that much high or has experienced a massive price growth. I'm contented with having them on my portfolio but I these coins are the coins I can discontinue anytime or sell if there's something bad happen to these projects. I stop collecting large coins like Ethereum and BNB for the mean time but I still accumulate bitcoin.
458  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 17, 2023, 06:03:21 PM
Totally agree with what everyone is saying, regardless of whether that success comes from luck or because we inherited it.  but if we don't know how to manage it, no matter how big that asset is, it will one day disappear.

But I want to emphasize one thing, luck is indispensable when it comes to anyone's success.  although sometimes we will see a lot of successful people coming from poor backgrounds, or working hard to achieve success, I believe that without luck, no matter how talented they are, they will not succeed if luck does not come to them.  we must not be lazy and rely only on luck, but we also cannot deny that luck is a part of our success.
Not everyone has wealth inherited from their parents and I really agree with you that if they cannot manage it well, whatever wealth their parents inherited will certainly run out. Yes, you are right in achieving the goal of becoming rich luck is part of the process of being able to achieve the goals we want without luck, no matter how hard we work, we will not be able to achieve the goal of becoming rich.
Inheritance is not something that can be expected, especially if we have many siblings, which sometimes becomes a source of contention with our own siblings. Yes... unless you are an only child.

Becoming someone who has abundant wealth is everyone's hope, but this is not our main goal. Our main goal is to be able to manage our finances and business well. Because if we are able to do this then becoming a rich person is not something that is difficult.
I remember a person that have a poor financial management. I remember that he boast so much after getting his inherited wealth and spending it on luxury, I know that he feels like a billionaire at that time. After a year, I saw him struggling and selling the luxury goods he have which is mostly precious stones at a loss. I don't like that he boast to us after his inheritance but I help him by buying some of his stones, of course for my own profit.

This shows how easy money fly if you don't have a proper financial management, we're co-workers and I'm sure he's not dumb enough but I think he is blinded by the instant richness he has.

We crypto users has the possibility to be stroke by a heavy luck and earn a massive profits instantly but we need to remember to stay humble and don't let the wealth change you or your lifestyle. Learn how to control our self and at least recall how to make the earned wealth last.

460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: September 17, 2023, 04:46:45 PM
One thing I have learned from life the hard way is that never share your financial condition with your family, friends, or anyone. The more you give the more they will want. And if you ask for the money back, you will become the bad one. The same goes with not giving money too. If they know that you have that money but you are not giving it to them, then you will become bad for them too.

In order to prevent this from happening, never share your personal status with them. And if they somehow get to know that you have something, then learn to say no. It is hard for some people but this is a very important skill to have. The more available you are to people the less valuable you are to them. Keep your privacy secret even from those who are your loved ones. You will be able to achieve many great things in life that way. Speaking from experience.
Yep this is true. This is why I always keep lowkey with my financial status, I have the habit of pretending to be poor or just an average citizen that is earning just enough to survive. This way, our surroundings won't stick an eyes on us and possibly won't be abused financially. Sometimes even the closest people in your life will change it's behavior to you when they learn that you have a money in a positive way given that they want you to share your "blessings" or in short money. One worst thing that might happen if they suddenly learned that you earned massive wealth is that they will do a "guilt trip" to you for them to manipulate you and get what they want.
