Anyone advocating for more taxes has been watching too much MSNBC. It's not about feeling sympathy for people who have billions, it's about people thinking the government is their daddy.
Do you think billionaires are swimming around in a pool of gold coins or pallets of $100s? Nearly all of the wealth that people are complaining about is on paper. Jeff Bezos owns a bunch of Amazon shares. If you raise the capital gains tax, he'll just never sell those shares. If the capital gains tax was lowered however, he might sell those shares and invest that money in some other endeavor which could create millions of new jobs. I'm betting the guy who created Amazon is a lot smarter than anyone in the government.
Nearly all the wealth in the world is invested in companies and profits are reinvested in other companies to create more and more jobs. Taxes stifle growth. All taxes are a deterrent to economic activity.
The Government is not your baby daddy and the more money the government takes, the less economic activity, jobs etc.
Spot on, I would so have merited this if I had any.

Follow-up question on the capital gains tax: if stock markets drop because people are locking in current profits by selling stock, does that mean they have to pay taxes now? Which would mean the US government potentially gained billions of tax just because Biden made an announcement?
I'm still flabbergasted by the idea that Americans can choose when they want to pay their taxes.
In the UK, we pay 20% on CGT but that’s only on profits. We don’t have an annual wealth tax so it’s only payable when we decide to sell. There was a review on spending/finances a couple of months back but luckily CGT was left alone. Same in Sweden, but we pay 30% CGT. But you can dodge most of the tax by opening an investment savings account and buy bitcoin securities, however not your keys, not your bitcoin. When the next bull cycle starts I will look in to putting half in securities and half in real bitcoins. That way I might just be able to let my bitcoins just sit there and use the securities/ETF:s for buying and selling the four year cycles .

How long does a transaction stay in the mempool? I payed way to little and now I'm not getting any confirmations.
Wait until the time becomes exactly on the hour (1:00:00, 2:00:00 and so on) and then paste your txid into ViaBTC's transaction accelerator so they can put it in one of their blocks. You have to submit it quickly because they only take the first 100 for free and the service is spammed to death, so it runs out of free slots after a few minutes. Some guy did that for a transaction of mine, works better than all the on-forum services of the same available. Don't RBF unless paying 200+sats/vbyte fees won't hurt you. Thanks, I'll do that.

Bloody Sunday has gone, however market is still surviving. In fact, we're passing a crucial point in time. Hold your breath. Shit always happens on those panic sellers. This is nothing other than a good time to accumulate. It's still a bull market. No need to hold the breath. So, are we supposed to hold our breath or not?

'The military doesn't suck, it's a branch of the government given the task to safeguard the freedom of the citizens of the country. They only obey (legal) orders. If you think their actions suck it's the politicians you should bitch at, not the ones that, risking their lives, obey their orders.
Try to convice that to the people of Myanmar. I speak of course of democratic countries. But who defines what is "legal", oh wait the government Military is just a tool of the government, so all the gov has to do before using its military is to justify their own requests as legal International Criminal Court officials sanctioned by US https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-54003527Theft: the illegal taking and carrying away of the personal goods or property of another Taxation: the taking and carrying away of the personal goods or property of citizens It's ok when the government does it. Also "safeguard the freedom of the citizens of the country"... umm...you don't really believe that bullshit do you? Please...when in the history of the Universe have governments safeguarded freedom? Seriously...nobody cares one bit about freedom, believe me I've tried to be free but run into nothing but roadblocks from...guess who?...governments and their order followers. All those citizens living in countries close to Russia disagrees with you.

They're just following orders. Yes, that's how hierarchical structures work. And you know very well that in all western militaries you are not only allowed, but have a duty to refuse to obey an order that's illegal.

OT: Just for reference...since I did not have any side effect and after my second pfizer shot the shoulder was not even sore, I decided to check for Ab at Labcorp (self-directed, so it cost $10 out of pocket). The result shows >250 u/ml with more than 0.8 u/ml considered positive for Ab. I am posting this for those who did not have any (or minimal) side effects. As you can see, there is no correlation.
EDIT: COIN is trading, currently at around $400
Hello Biodom, i got my first shot 2,5 days ago... since then there is no side effect. The doc took the injection quickly out and my arm did bleed very hard. He forgot to put a piece of cotton or any similar silly things just after taking the injection out. I was a bit worried and asked him whether the liquid went out by blood as well? He tried to comfort and convince me but i was not satisfied at all. The next shot is by the end of May. So, you made a decision to check but do not understand anything with levels such as >250u/ml and 0.8 u/ml... Do you mean that the vaccine does not work out? re levels...nah. The purpose of any vaccine is to elicit the production of antibodies against the target, in this case antibodies against COVID's spike protein. Labcorp (with the input of CDC, I am sure) decided that to be positive for antibodies you need to have above 0.8u/ml (u=units, but they don't say what units signify, so it is arbitrary, probably some numerical value, like mkg/ml, ng/ml or something like that). My results show the level of antibodies which is about 300X of what is considered to be positive. I guess this means that the antibody level is high post-vaccination (in this particular case). This test cannot predict protection. EDIT: you have to wait 3-4 wks after the SECOND shot (in a two-shot regimen like Pfizer or Moderna) to ascertain your max Ab level. Not a medical advice, of course, I am not an MD. I don't know, but I assume that the unit they are using is the international unit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_unitOr maybe it's the enzyme unit, IDK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzyme_unit

Well it’s Elon, Easa or Russia... Russia is kind of a bad political idea.... And why are we going back to the moon... we needs to go to Mars the reasons for going to the moon are more than just stepping stone to mars, first there maybe some minerals there that are economic to mine, but that's still speculative, to be proven. most importantly though China has made moves that looks like it is intending to take the "commanding heights" militarily on the moon, this is no shit serious. we may see the moon, or lunar orbits, cis lunar orbits, earth-moon L1 Lagrange point or earth orbits become the next battlefield. 1. The moon isn’t a stepping stone to Mars. Going direct to Mars saves time money and resources. 2. The moon is geologically dead and mostly made of the same stuff as earth. If it was pure diamond or gold then I’d understand. I believe He3 to be the most interesting... .... 3. Yup it’s showing their big dick again by putting military presence on the moon 🌚 Actually, Asians have small dicks. "Penis sizes vary by ethnicity, but only when it comes to average size for an ethnic group. In other words, a man of one ethnicity will not always have a larger penis size compared to someone of another ethnic group with a lower average size. In general, the average penis length is slightly longer in black or African American men compared to other ethnic or racial groups. The average length in this group is 14.75 cm, but by comparison, the average white or Caucasian penis size is only a quarter of a centimeter smaller, at 14.5 cm. The average penis size among men of East Asian ethnicity is slightly smaller, at 12.9 cm. The global average is 13.71 cm. This is ranking of the average penis length by ethnicity:" Sauce: https://www.drelist.com/blog/penis-size-race/

Yup it’s showing their big dick again by putting military presence on the moon 🌚 Well gravity says you are so very wrong. Along with atmosphere or lack of it. We could shuttle stuff to the moon big a bigger boat with more fuel as gravity would allow for easier take off. Also moon would be used as a spinning sling shot to boost that rocket ship. Finally the lack of or very thin atmosphere would along for less friction on take offs and landing. So If you really want us to go to mars a large basecamp on the moon makes sense. As for military on the moon the military has always sucked and will always suck. But Leaders love the war games.
