1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: We need to wake up fast before china will eat all the BTC.. on: November 27, 2013, 02:16:28 PM

guys we need to start waking up.. or china will dominate btc at this buying rate..

7500+ BTC bought with Yuan, 561 BTC bought in USD - all in 01:54 hours and rising.. http://fiatleak.com/
somthing isn't right

You do realize they buy those coins form other chinese right? =))))))

I wouldnt be so sure, BTC-E lagged behind China by huge margin until yersteday. Gox and Stamp before that...
1202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 02:12:38 PM
8800 BTC to $1000 on Bitstamp
2100 BTC to $1000 on Gox.

Clearly people are cashing out, and even if Gox breaks $1000, bitstamp will take a while to follow.

Some of those walls will be pulled and if Bitstamp lags behind, more money will flow in to take advantage of arbitrage.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 01:59:42 PM
Waves of money coming in - Fiatleaks showing nearly 7000 BTC per hour - way high, something is coming.

This is not bearish news!

If that site is any indicator at all, then... Chinese are waking up.
1204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 01:46:54 PM
New ATH at Bistamp.

And now GOX too.
1205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2013, 01:45:13 PM
New ATH at Bistamp.
1206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Anyone Buying Bitcoins? on: November 27, 2013, 09:52:00 AM
Edwar, sounds like you dumped your coins early and being left out.

Are you trying to look for comfort? I can pad your back for 1 BTC.

Not looking for comfort but honestly a stable price.

Since that time I have more fiat dollars and am in a position to invest some of it. May invest in some non-bitcoin investments that require bitcoin and don't want to take a loss when bitcoin comes crashing down.

How can anyone says that he wants stable price - not possible. Bitcoin logical limits are somewhere between $0 and $1M. Now tell me the right price that everyone will be comfortable buying and selling for months.

Exactly  Wink major reason bitcoin got so popular was influx of speculators, who saw product with potentially unlimited demand and very, very inelastic supply. Volatility might get managable over time, but it is not going anywhere. It is part of what bitcoin is.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bears Bunker - Official thread on: November 27, 2013, 12:22:18 AM
It seems the market has peaked, let's see how deep the correction will be.

Couple of hours after rally has restarted?  Wink Come on, Tzupy, you are way smarter, than that. It was to be expected there is some last ditch resistance before psychological barrier of 1000 breaks. By the way, volume of this "correction" is incredibly low.
1208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for today's boom? on: November 26, 2013, 08:34:39 PM
Do you realize there were (and still are) tons of fiat on sideways already within exchanges? With more on the way, usually game changing news (like halving of mining rewards last year) take effect on market only after a week or two.

After several days of consolidation there were really only two ways this could go  Wink
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Great Crash on: November 26, 2013, 08:22:03 PM

The Horror, The Horror....

Although the Apocalypse Now reference sounds cool it seems that you don't have a future as a psychic.Or a daytrader for that matter  Embarrassed

Oh, god, give the guy some slack, will you? If you know anything at all about trading, then you are aware, that traders, who profit 50% of time from their predictions are rich people. Anything more, than that and your are considered prodigy in finance world.
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2013, 08:13:01 PM
We still need Chinese to wake up  Kiss guess, I am not sleeping tonight.
1211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2013, 06:39:10 PM
845 wall at Bitstamp finally eaten away.
1212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2013, 02:12:57 PM
Possible double top? Lots of resistance to 900 and no volume in the middle of the week

You might be completely right. However resistance at 900 is understandable, itīs the old ATH afterall. If the market breaks that resistance, I will only get worried again when we reach parity with gold...
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: November 26, 2013, 01:15:35 PM
My previous intra-day trading tip on my previous post worked to perfection.

Price currently resides below topside resistance where we look for additional scalping opportunities

You have a strange definition of 'perfect'. Your first "sell 830, buy dips" was correct. The second one, not so much (~870 atm)

You failed to read my entire post.

A: I'm a day trader so I only trade the day. Your talking about price action over a day.

B: Again you didn't read the post because had you and had you looked at a chart you would have seen price came under 830 where I bought again per my trade recommendation and where I am now sitting on coins plus profit.

Your interpreting my post and my trade setup recommendation incorrectly.

I can see there is a lot of negativity, hostility from individuals who don't seem to be taking the time to read a post correctly and thoroughly in this thread so I'll go else where with my trading thoughts.

Thanks

All I see is Oda Krell trying to correct your charts with reality. Being butthurt must be fun, huh?  Roll Eyes
1214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ripple competition on: November 26, 2013, 10:13:17 AM
Others considered me borderline insane for thinking that ripple will break new ATH before Christmas. I still sold out at 42xrp/USD, tripling of price in a week was just uncomfortable for me  Smiley still, more power to ripple.
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Spend Point on: November 26, 2013, 01:52:30 AM
I think somewhere about $100000 to $200000 per coin would be enough to buy a life without working.
But then again only cash out what you need Smiley

You either have only two to three coins or live in most expensive place on Earth.

Most people I know of can make comfortable living on less than half million dollars. Its quite easy outside of London, New York or Dubai. For couple of decades, man. For couple of decades.
1216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Anyone Buying Bitcoins? on: November 26, 2013, 01:33:42 AM
Is anyone buying bitcoins at the current selling price? And if so, how much?

"Is anyone buying bitcoins at the current selling price? And if so, how much?"

I actually bought 36 btc last hour for about 810. I consider myself bear in long term, however... this bubble is not yet over.

EDIT: Sounds like fairy tale now. The time I had thirty six bitcoins... I my, what helluva time was that!
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Million dollars per coin by year 2020. I am not kidding. on: November 25, 2013, 10:03:47 AM
Other currencies are extre, ely unlikely to see network effects adequate to bootstrap significant adoption unless there is some external force applied, creating incentives.

Same thing was said about bitcoin until about year ago: Small, niche, hobby currency. That external force you are talking about is simply market demand  Wink cryptocurrencies are still in its early phase, so I doubt anybody can be sure about, who will be number one in ten years. Bitcoin has currently age and networking on its side. I remeber time, when Motorola was pioneer in the emerging field of mobile phones. Where is that company today?  Wink
1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: please tell me i've done good? on: November 25, 2013, 09:07:29 AM
There is some extremely irrational investing advice in this forum, be careful.

Bitcoin has a very high potential upside. This galvanises people and turns us all into dreamers. We see people getting rich and want it too. A very high potential upside.

However it is also insanely risky. There is no law that states that Bitcoin will keep going up. In fact, it will go in the direction that will benefit the people who are already rich the most. If price outstrips adoption, price rises will not be exponential for a while.

Now, for most people, it is wise to take on high-risk investments. When you put the money in you accept it as lost, a sunk cost. If you are lucky, that pays off handsomely. It's a great idea. But the key is, you have to write off that initial investment.

For you, it is not -- the money was not yours, and you can't afford to lose it. You're in no position to write it off -- it was theft. You certainly can't take those decisions on behalf of others. In fact, your college is much more important, and many other opportunities will come in life.

You must also understand that easy riches is not the opportunity here. In life there are far more important opportunities that will make you into a person you can be proud of.

At this stage, if you are staying in due to potential greed, I'd advise you to liquidate some of your principal soon, and eventually keep only the BTC with which you could buy with profit. This will be very painful, especially when you see it go up, but it is wise to be careful when everyone else around you is greedy. Seeing all the responses here, I think you can judge for yourself, regardless of your age. These people who are so eager to see you buy now, will sell when the shit hits the fan. And they'll do it before you.

I couldnīt write it better. Thank you.

Young man, people on these boards are not evil. But neither are their your friends. Remember that when asking how to manage money of your family.
1219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Crashing Again? on: November 25, 2013, 09:00:02 AM
Well when ppl started getting there mini rigs beginning of OCT they were selling them off. Now they are getting low amount of coin return so they're holding on to them... The next batch of miners with the 28mm rigs will get here soon and the price will shoot up again. They will be the new money and wanting to sell except they will need to sell for more to get payback. This cycle will continue to repeat for a long time... Investment needs payback. So they sell. Selling creates Vol. People start holding out for more money but still willing to sell. Then the Increase in difficulty hits and they are back to hording.... March Apr of this year is when BLF started issuing their first mini rigs I believe.
miners participation in today market is negligible

3600 NEW Coins daily, thats a lot in market trades.

It's actually more like 4k coins daily average 8.9m between blocks or about 4044 btc a day.

So we are talking about three million dollars daily minimum just to keep the price from tanking  Undecided

EDIT: Whoop dee doo. We not only broke last all time high at two hundred sixty six pre bitcoin, we even broke into less than two hundred. This was hellish ride, I tell you, kids. Its not going to come back, is it? IS IT? I hope not. That would be my end for sure.

The technical picture is deteriorating. I'm with reptilia on this one: buy cheaper coins in about 1-2 days.

Has bitcoin ever rallied to an all-time high and then stabilized right near the top for a few days, and only then crashed significantly lower? That has never been the pattern before. I think the fact that we're consolidating just under the ATH is bullish for another surge to the upside within 1-2 days.

It's exactly like that.  Smiley

What happened after this?

That chart shows a consolidation at about 50-65% of the ATH in 2011. We are currently sitting at only 10-15% less than the ATH. I think that's a significant difference, from a technical perspective.

But is that difference good (bullish) thing? Wink

EDIT (2017): If I only knew, that we are for multi-year bear market... things would go so differently. Alas, time for new start, gentlemen.
