I really like SWC, and will probably spend hundreds more hours playing there in the future. That said, they have terrible customer relations at the moment. If they would have at least hinted at what the problem is when the site first went down it would have saved me and many others hundreds of 'twitter refreshes'. I don't want to miss a downtime freeroll or the 5k krillroll so I've been refreshing their twitter about every hour for the last week. Tell us wtf went wrong! Sure, you can't give an ETA, but like many people have requested on twitter over the past week: will it be a day, a week, a month?!

What kind of failure do you guys think takes a week to fix?

I agree. The mysterious way that they are handling this is not doing them any favor. If Stars or WPN did something like this the shit would hit the fan. Seals feels their niche fan base is so loyal they do not have to inform  them of anything. It is what it is so tell the players so they can make an informed decision and not waste timing going to twitter 3 or 4 times a day.

Agreed they knew damn well this was going to be a long drawn out process. Why direct players to keep checking twitter updates when nothing to check because there is no info? Why not just say seals is going to be down for the unforeseeable future we will update every couple of days.

IMO if they are going to keep saying "check twitter feeds, we will keep you updated" they sure as hell better keep us updated. A sentence every few days (which isn't even related to giving us info on how much longer it will be most of the time) is NOT keeping us updated! I kept my BTC in seals this whole time but I'm about ready to withdraw and put it towards something else.

Played a few times. Deposited a bit, won a bit, then lost. Good design, and who doesn't love solitaire. I will most likely come back in the future.

I have to go 2 hours after the tourney starts, hopefully if I make it far enough I can sit out into the money.
1705  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 15, 2015, 07:25:58 PM
I can't believe we're still down.

You are surprised. See I told you the admin just don't care at all.

It was a nice site but this is totally unacceptable.

Calm down fam it will be up soon. If admin was planning on screwing everyone over and running off with the money why is he allowing people to withdraw?

Facebook = social media
Bitcointalk = forums
social media =/= forums

It's a bad analogy regardless of how similar you feel they are. Facebook is used to connect with friends and family, and forums are used to stimulate open discussion between likeminded people.

I disagree. I use Facebook Groups to connect with people that speak Esperanto. These are people I've never seen I'm my life, but with whom I share a common interest, much like a forum.

And I use the youtube comments section to discuss conspiracies and psuedosciences. Does that make youtube a forum to discuss conspiracies and psuedosciences? It's still a video sharing site, even if I use it differently than the majority.

Last movie I saw was the Spongebob movies. 0/10 do not recommend nothing like the first movie waste of 2 hours I will never get back.

before that I saw American Sniper and Wedding Ringer and they were both great. I give both 8/10

1709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now 7000 btc will be dumped making the price go lower and lower! on: February 15, 2015, 06:56:25 PM
world wide bitcoin regulations

THE ENTIRE ARGUMENT BEHIND WHY BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN FIAT IS BECAUSE IT ISN'T REGULATED WHY WOULD ANY BITCOINER WANT TO SEE REGULATION.

DO YOU WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO FIX EXCHANGE RATES FOR BTC TOO?

Facebook = social media
Bitcointalk = forums
social media =/= forums

It's a bad analogy regardless of how similar you feel they are. Facebook is used to connect with friends and family, and forums are used to stimulate open discussion between likeminded people. There is a huge gap. In its simplest forum, a signature is a way for users to express themselves. They add a bit of flair to all of their posts that is unique to them. You don't need that on facebook, twitter, or other social media because the activity and discussion on there is about the posters, not a niche subject the whole website revolves around.

1713  Economy / Gambling / Re: -1 BTC to + 1 BTC playing DICE online with bitcoins on: February 14, 2015, 02:24:49 AM
Know someone who went from -1 BTC to + 1 BTC all time, it should feel good, shouldn't it?

Primedice only has a 1% edge so it is easy to recover a loss or to win a large amount before you are hit by variance.

If someone is going from -1 BTC to +1 BTC all the time , then it implies they also go from +1 to -1 , which isn't much of a winning .
Best to never chase losses.

He went from -1 BTC to + 1 BTC but playing small amounts.
Oh, yeah happens at times Tongue People get lucky. I wish I had that luck, 99% of the time, I just lose while chasing any losses.

If you win, you play more but if you lose you chase losses. I just wanted to show you could win Grin

Believe it or not but 49% of primedice players make a profit. Crazy to think about, isn't it?

What is $10 in the grand scheme of things? If you are truly one of us the price won't even matter for the next few years unless it crashes to $0.

This looks way too good to be true. No way I'm going to deposit. However if this isn't a scam it looks like I'll be able to unlock the 2nd level just from the freebie they give you.
