1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really unbreakable? on: July 05, 2015, 06:41:35 AM
Nothing is permanent. It is very possible that something pops up down the road that will overtake Bitcoin. As of now there is no competition, but a superior cryptocurrency could gain massive popularity at some point down the road and make BTC obsolete.

well, the beauty of bitcoin is that it is opensource. we don't need to worry about another digital currency taking over bitcoin's place. bitcoin can get much better for global usage slowly once the need is there.

Bitcoin has a huge edge over all other cryptocurrencies due to its popularity, but if 20 or 30 years down the road the entire world is using digital currencies, it is very possible that something more optimal is released that takes Bitcoin's spot as the crypto king.
1582  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is There Anywhere I Can Go to Gamble on Battle Bots? on: July 05, 2015, 06:39:55 AM
I loved watching the show Battle Bots as a kid, and now that the show just started up on ABC again, I've been watching and enjoying the robot destruction. Are there any sites out there that I can bet on Battle Bots contenders at? Would make the experience that much more enjoyable if I had a certain bot I was betting on.

I have searched a lot in google for a site that offers that , but I didn't find any helpful results
so I think this is not offered by any site mate , maybe it will be available soon

I was thinking a site like Nitrogen Sports or Directbet could host it, I personally think they would get at least some action on Battle Bots related gambles
1583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: July 05, 2015, 06:38:12 AM
I did not earn some Bitcoins today Sad It was 4th of July so I think I have an excuse as to why I didn't do any work today

none mate

That's really disappointing (although still what I was expecting), hopefully if the show does well in terms of popularity some options may pop up in the near future. Maybe by the championship round of the first tourney in the series (they are currently at round of 16) one of the sports betting sites will start to incorporate the world of Robot Betting.
1586  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Banned Greece! on: July 05, 2015, 12:40:28 AM
I hate PayPal, I've seen terrible things come out of the service. I cannot wait until the day when currencies such as Bitcoin surpass services like PayPal.
1587  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: July 05, 2015, 12:38:52 AM

The Saturday 500 is coming up in less than 20 minutes, with late reg until :20 after.

Still enough time to poker before fireworks.

And then tomorrow is the really big day...

Still TRIPLE Krill goin on through the 7th.

If you want to get up to the next Krillroll level now is the time to do it.  I've made 1200+ in just a couple nights of some low stakes 10nl thru 100nl play.  Others have made a lot more.

Dang that's a pretty sweet tournament, really wish I was at my computer to participate. Good luck to all the entrants Smiley
1588  Economy / Services / Re: Earn Bitcoins by doing Captchas! [Easy & Newbie Friendly] [0.007 BTC / 2000] on: July 05, 2015, 12:36:26 AM
In order to earn .1 BTC per day, a user would have to complete over 28,000 captchas. Is this even humanly possible?

It is.
So you get around 0,002 per 1000 captchas, if you write fast you can do around 2000-3000 captchas a hour. So 0,002 x 3 = 0,006 per hour. So in around 15 hours, not even a day, and you can have 0.10 BTC. Its possible, you just need the time and will to do it.

Wouldn't it be .0035 per 1000? OP and title states payout is around .007 BTC / 2000 captchas
1589  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin really save Greece? on: July 05, 2015, 12:34:43 AM
Can Greece really save bitcoin?

Lol.. that is the question which should be asked. We are discussing about the probability that Greece will be saved by a currency, whose value has declined by 80% in the last 18 months. The Bitcoin adoption is going down considerably, and the number of people who use Bitcoin for their online shopping has also gone down steeply.

Obviously I can't speak for the whole community, but I just spent 3~ BTC over at newegg.com a couple of weeks ago, and it seems that more opportunities to spend online are opening up every day, so I wouldn't argue that online shopping through Bitcoin is on the decline.

1591  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CSGO Case Keys on: July 05, 2015, 12:17:47 AM
I just started playing CSGO, why do people sell Case Keys below market price? Is there not no other way to earn them besides from paying $2.50 through the game? Sorry for the off topic post OP
There are ways.  People can trade for them, and obtain then by trading their skins.  They might not want to use the keys and instead, cashout for real money.  I believe that there are certain regions that also are able to purchase keys for less.

Gotcha, I assume selling keys is also smarter if you are looking to earn paypal or BTC rather than Steam funds, as keys are naturally in much higher demand than any individual skin.
1592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worries: can anyone advise? on: July 05, 2015, 12:16:05 AM
Don't invest 100k all at once. It's best to spend a portion of your investment funds once a week, and with that large of an amount, you will have trouble investing all at once anyways. Instead, purchase 10k worth of BTC once a week for the next 10 weeks, or 1-2k worth of BTC daily. It will be cheaper and safer this way.
1593  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Story] How faucets got me a PS4 on: July 05, 2015, 12:12:56 AM
Guys lay off of OP, Gabling is actually a refined form of the degenerate system known as gambling. With gabling, gablers can expect a postive EV and certain profits.
1594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last Movie you watch ? ( Daily thread ) on: July 05, 2015, 12:10:24 AM
I just watched Inside Out with my family yesterday. My family enjoyed it but I am personally not a huge fan of cuteness, and I personally wouldn't recommend it. Before Inside Out I saw Ted 2, which was hilarious.
1595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Prince Alwaleed pledges $32bn to charity on: July 05, 2015, 12:08:55 AM
OMG, I think, he gave his all the earning in this charity. I think this is one of the biggest one. I never heard before that much.

Someone should give him the email address for Greece he could save a country Smiley

What happened in the greece? I dont know about that?

You need to pay attention to some world news- Greek citizens are being shut out of their bank accounts and the government is now taking a portion of all deposits in an attempt to lighten the bankruptcy crisis
1596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 05, 2015, 12:06:47 AM
Bitcoin will go up to 1200-1300, but it won't be next month, or even next year. I don't expect the price of Bitcoin to surpass the high in 2013 until 2017 at the soonest.

1598  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is a member of this forum on: July 04, 2015, 11:57:49 PM
Satoshi absolutely keeps up with the Bitcoin community. Not only did the man invent arguably the most important invention of the century, but he is also estimated to own over 1 million BTC. He may not be an active poster, but he certainly checks up on his users from time to time.
1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you mine bitcoins with a toaster? YES you can! on: July 04, 2015, 11:54:55 PM
What games actually award Bitcoins to users? I know there were some Minecraft servers that did, but the only Minecraft server I know of that uses Bitcoins (Bitquest) hasn't been awarding emeralds (bits) to players for weeks.
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: July 04, 2015, 11:53:24 PM
I personally just used my Bitcoin earnings to purchase a new PC. I've also made several other small PC related purchases with BTC through newegg. Outside of shopping, I use Bitcoin for Gambling, earning (paid in BTC for writing), and micropayments to other users in online games.
