1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A thought... on: July 10, 2015, 10:55:53 PM
When bitcoin is actually "mainstream" and the volumes of transactions that we are seeing today, is becoming a normal thing, how will the network handle it?

on a side note, does anyone know when the attack will stop? any estimates

The only plausible solution to combat large numbers of transaction is a blocksize increase. Down the road, if the general population has access to Bitcoin, 1 MB blocks will not suffice. Everyone knows this, and the current debate about is primarily in regards to when the blocksize should be increased, rather than if.
1522  Other / Off-topic / Re: Collateral on: July 10, 2015, 10:50:40 PM
I am trying to loan from someone that I know outside of bitcointalk.org. What is the best currency I can use as a collateral?

Bitcoin?

it really depends on what currency you have, what are your options?

I need to loan Bitcoins because I will need them in the future, not now. So since I have some bitcoins right now, I want to change it into the currency that I can use as a collateral.

Altcoins are a common collateral on this forum. Pretty much any altcoins will do. I suppose local currencies would be atequette collateral, but if the person you are lending has fiat they should just purchase the Bitcoins themself.
1523  Economy / Economics / Re: Uber says denies plans to accept bitcoin payments on: July 10, 2015, 07:57:40 PM
Man, this really sucks. Uber is a perfect setting for Bitcoin corporation. Hopefully as Bitcoin develops as legitimate in the eyes of the public, Uber will reconsider their stance on bitcoin.
1524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Increase in daily trading volumes of nearly all Cryptocurrencies on: July 10, 2015, 07:47:00 PM
Altcoins aren't doing so hot right now. Litecoins have dropped from $8+ to around $5, and still dropping. Despite Bitcoin shooting up near the $300 mark, all other crypto are dropping, at least that is the case on BTC-E
1525  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon Gift card 250USD (US) For 121USD - Enscrow Accepted! (Please Not Stolen!) on: July 10, 2015, 07:42:42 PM
Very good scam,  2 noobs with the same activity discussing the product lol. I think we a bit brighter than that here....

Ansolutely. If OP actually had 4+ $250 Amazon giftcards, not only would they be stolen but they also wouldn't be sold at less than half price. It would be much more profitable to use purse.io to get Bitcoin at a 30ish% discount. This thread screams scam.
1526  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: July 09, 2015, 05:02:05 AM
How long does it take for payment? The week ended yesterday.

It will be within 2-3 hours. Don't worry

Awesome! Does posting now count towards the current week, or do I have to wait for payment before the next cycle begins?
1527  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling ebook that can make you $150 a day on: July 09, 2015, 05:00:56 AM
I'd like a vouch copy, I've vouched for similar ebooks in the past.
Sent right now,please vouch asap

Just read through my vouch copy. I'm going to test it a bit and report back with how well it works. As of now, it looks promising

As far as I can tell, this appears to be a solid earning method. It's easy to run, and doesn't require much labor to get the method up and running. If you are willing to put in the work, this appears to be a solid way to earn.

1529  Economy / Economics / Re: When and how will Bitcoin reach a trillion dollar market cap? on: July 08, 2015, 01:21:51 AM
The future market cap of Bitcoin is entirely dependent on the success or failure of currencies throughout the world. If events like Greece, China, and Venezuela continue in the future, mass adoption will occur sooner, rather than later.
1530  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug War Explained on: July 08, 2015, 01:18:47 AM
The war on drugs is simply a ploy in order to jail nonviolent citizens and make maximum profit for the private prisons within America.
1531  Economy / Services / Re: looking for a copywriter for bitcoins on: July 08, 2015, 01:14:24 AM

1532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: July 08, 2015, 01:12:07 AM
It's always a time to buy. As long as Bitcoin isn't outlawed within your place of residence, continue to buy Smiley
1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin will reach it's $1000 mark again? on: July 08, 2015, 01:09:37 AM
$1000 is inevitable. It's not a matter of if, but when. In my opinion, $1,000 will be achieved within some point I  the next two years. I don't think we can expect Bitcoin to get anywhere near 1k by the end of the year.
1534  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 08, 2015, 01:07:10 AM
You might have missed the first bitcoin boom, but that doesn't mean you have to miss the next one. Buy as much bitcoin as you can without compromising your lifestyle and hope for the best!

Amen. For all we know, 2008 to 2015 could be the same exponential growth as 2015 to 2022
1535  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What places do you do your shopping online? on: July 08, 2015, 12:52:07 AM
I've made several payments on newegg.com with Bitcoin recently, including a new PC I purchased last month. The deals are great and so has been the experience thusfar.
1536  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Web Wallet? on: July 08, 2015, 12:48:52 AM
Although blockchain.info is commonly used, the wallet is pretty subpar. There are a lot of issues with the wallet, and the site has historically not performed well at certain times. Your best choice is to stay away from Web wallets.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 08, 2015, 12:47:14 AM
My favorite part of Bitcoin is how easy it is to send anywhere in the world. With Bitcoin, I can share my writing services with anyone in the world, which is something I couldn't do before.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Citigroup Is Testing Its Own Bitcoin: 'Citicoin' on: July 08, 2015, 12:43:36 AM
Citibank is premining their own coin and will issue them out as they see fit. Citicoin does not represent the principles that crypto currency represents, there is no way that the project will be successful.
1539  Economy / Gambling / Re: Predictious.com | The Premier Bitcoin Prediction Market | Trade & Win Bitcoins! on: July 08, 2015, 12:41:01 AM
Is there any way that Big Brother or Battle Bots related bets couldn't be added to the site? I would certainly make bets on either of those two shows.
1540  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4000$ bitcoins in 4 months on: July 07, 2015, 10:56:38 PM
As much as I would love to see a price of $4000, I am skeptical of seeing even $400 any time soon.
