Do genesis block owners still hold +50% of the total market cap?
The original 73 accounts from the genesis block transactions have a total balance of 286009248 nxt. I thought there were 1,000,000,000 NXT in total. Are you saying there are only 286,009,248 NXT in existance? No, I'm saying that if you sum the current balance of the 73 recipient accounts from the genesis block transactions, you'll (now) get 280060111 nxt remaining in the original 73 accounts. You can look at the transactions on the those accounts and make some guesses that could possibly answer your question.

I'm thinking about creating a kind of fund to finance services related to NXT but not through giveaways but through no interest loans. It was said here that initial stakeholders are not active enough. Probably most of them (just like me) wanted to just earn some BTC of it. Don;t get me wrong - I'm a libertarian guy but like to have sth in my pocket also. As time passes I see more and more potential in NXT but this potential needs to be shown to wider publicity. There are many talented and creative people here who could use such fund for making sth extraordinary and all would profit from it in long term. I can't say how to solve trust problem here and not proposing any specific conditions of loans. It's just a loose proposition of crating such fund. What do you think about it?
I think here is a good place where anyone can post what he would like to donate on: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgAGADgnQcrtdHRrV3V3Z1lzOXVEMWtqdElUaEtqV1E#gid=2Now we have got there: Kisa I'm willing to donate 10000, maybe more, to support development and promotion. mripper I'll contribute 500k Nxt on that. I'm not a block founder, but highly agree with you. I don't think it will be possible until Jan when source code is release, but if CFB develops messaging as a feature, I'll just give it to him! newname Mripper has pledged 500k and I pledge 270k to the first developer that creates a decentralized messaging system based on the brain network... Pouncer I pledge 1M for software dev (any project) Pouncer I pledge 500K for realtime help desk (tech support) Hash "500K for android client with simple functionality: - unlock account / see balance - send / receive transactions Follow the link on the right for details." 2X84 I am willing to pledge 5-10k in cold hard cash to a developer fund as soon as my Chase sends me a check as they have closed my accounts (they aren't crypto-currency friendly.) This check should arrive in under 15 days. buybitcoinscanada I'd like to pledge another 250k on top of the current 500k pledge (total 750k Nxt), for a fully working, easy to use, secure and bug free android client.

Not to draw unwanted attention, but guys like nexern and ferment (just to name a couple) are working on some really great stuff. Would be great if we can get organized with a fund for bounties and to continue ongoing projects. I'd like to continue donating, but also get a better understanding if CFB is actually working on a messaging component, colored coins, etc.. It seems a little vague and perhaps he's waiting for others to step up after code release. Also, I'm willing to donate another 500k to the developer of a working decentralized marketplace.

hm sounds like we have been using them for an unintended purpose, can you explain the intention of the token?
Token r used to authorize account owners on 3rd-party websites. also, please answer this question: assume we run 1 java instance of a non-hallmarked node on a PC. 1 user uses GUI to unlock and start forging. They close their browser without locking back. So they are still forging.. BUT what happens then if another user connects to that java instance and unlocks a different passphrase/account? do both accounts begin forging off the same java instance?
Then, what are the implications if the node is hallmarked with the 1st account?
Both will be forging. Hallmark doesn't influence on mining at all.

Hi Guys! What do you think about the recent panic on the whole crypto-market? How will this effect NxT? What would be a good strategy? Sell everything off even with a loss of 50% (compared to the initial invistment I made) or hold and hope it goes back up?

It's up to you of course, but until we have breached the 200-day MA (Moving Average) on BTC we're still in bull market. Currently 200-day MA on BTC is at $265 level, 100-day MA is at $420. All markets have periodic tests of their support levels and certain MAs (50, 100, 200) are where buy orders are concentrated. Chances are BTC will find good support at one of these and bounce off. BTC already tested its 200-day MA in July and recovered after that, it should do it again. As for how this affects NXT, it's hard to say until January when source code is released and major features start being implemented, and generally the client is more stable for users. Won't take long to find out, just another 2-3 weeks.

Next update will include Alias System migration code (blocks that contain AS transactions will be considered valid, but transactions won't be created yet). Should we use "0.4.0" for version or "0.3.21"?

Don't bother. China is dead Bitcoin wise. No. China is not dead Bitcoin wise. It is still legal for Chinese to buy, sell and transact in bitcoin. All China said was that their BTC exchanges must submit to regulation.
