It is really such a shame that Lebron had to lose this way, it's clear that he rarely gets help, but that was ok when he was 35 or under, when he is 38-39 years old and still doesn't get proper help, it becomes boring to watch. AD played well by the way, I am saying he doesn't get help, but that doesn't include AD, that dude played amazingly, in fact for the first time I have seen someone actually slow down Jokic most of the game, first half Jokic was nowhere to be found because AD defended so beastly.

All lakers had to do was defend well on the last 2 minutes of the game, and instead they just let Nuggets play ball the way they want to, which is the biggest problem. I believe there is no other way around but a loss now, Nuggets will get the series again.

LeBron was pretty pissed off in his postgame interview. I’m sure they’ll be announcing a fine for him today. He said the F-word which doesn’t happen very often while questioning the replay center’s abilities. That last second shot by Denver had to puss the Lakers off too. Denver has a way of winning on ridiculous shots. Game 3 will be a heated one.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 22, 2024, 06:59:54 PM
Was doing a little bit of celebrating this weekend. The result was me at 3am Saturday night (Sunday morning) doing push-ups so I wouldn’t break my streak. I really wanted to skip it and I know that nobody would have known, but I didn’t want to cheat myself. Not gonna lie, it wasn’t great for my sleep, but I’m glad I’m still going strong. I feel like a nap is in the cards for me today as soon as I’m done fixing a leaky pvc valve. …
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 22, 2024, 05:35:18 PM
If Ryan Garcia was putting on an act like he was losing his mind just to get the odds as long as possible so he could bet on himself and win a fortune then he really is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Personally I think he just got lucky and probably had a decent advantage not having to cut all the way to make weight, but I’m happy for him.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 21, 2024, 01:11:34 PM
Nice to see the playoffs in full swing. I would’ve liked to see the Lakers win yesterday but it looks like Denver is going to be too much for them again this year. Lots more games today but the only one I’m really excited to see is the Clippers against the Mavericks. That should be an entertaining game.

The fees are very high, I read that it is because of the launch of something called RUNE, (I don't know what it is about)... but I will probably have to accumulate some BTC from DCA on an exchange before withdrawing... unfortunately. I hope things get back to normal soon.

Does anyone have any alternative to this, of keeping some BTC in an exchange for a while? before withdrawing to the wallet? I don't think there's much to do except wait

Withdraw sats over the Lignting network. Kraken and Cash App support it and even Coinbase is finally working on it. Zero fees and instant, even today.

LOL. I’m guessing you haven’t actually used Lightning recently… I’m seeing plenty of people complaining about channel costs and failed transactions. You’re better off using a shitcoin.

The beauty of this terribly managed fee market is that nobody can afford to move BTC to exchanges, so the weekend should be pretty quiet.

End of an era… Amazing the things time can change.

Let’s go Kings!

They could have secured the pedal face on the pedal with screws instead of glue.

Deliveries have resumed and they have alerted current owners that they can come into a service center and have their accelerator fixed.  It looks like they did go with the simple option of securing the pedal with a screw of sorts instead of depending on glue.  Hopefully this oversight was due to the pedal cover being a cosmetic item and not indicative of other design choices on the truck.  In my opinion as someone who doesn't own one and has only seen videos...  I think they should do something about the lip in front of the headlights that can gather snow as well as the rear camera not having an automatic washer.  I have already seen aftermarket solutions for the rear camera washer.

Happy Halving Day!  Even though I told everyone else not to do more than 100 push-ups per day, I did 200 today for the halving.  It surprisingly wasn't any more difficult than doing 100 in a day.  I just had to remember to do them more often, which isn't a problem when you're checking blocks throughout the day.  Looks like the price will be around $64,000, which I find a bit surprising.  I thought for sure the market would want to see a $69K Bitcoin price on 4/20, but I guess there's still time to make that happen.

You can actually host a basic website on it. I have done a similar project myself before. It is probably powerful enough to handle a hundred visitors at the same time  Tongue The fartwind of a DDOS will crash it.

A very strong wind probably wasn't even necessary... 100 hits per second is a very low value for a DDOS attack.
Probably a little sneeze would be enough.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Are you implying that you fart with more power than you sneeze? I guess I’m a powerful sneezer… That seems unusual to me.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 19, 2024, 06:16:39 PM
First 100 push-ups for the day completed with a set of 50! Got some things to do and then I’ll get started on the second hundred for the day. Will report once that has been completed. Happy halving day!

Also looks like it’s finally warm enough to swim out here in the desert, but I think I’ll save the swimming for a day when I’m not doing 200 push-ups and heavily partying so I don’t cramp up and drown.  Shocked

Mine get deleted from time to time. Rarely a reason given. It’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You either did something wrong or stumbled onto something you shouldn’t have.

It would be preferable if mods could leave a note on why a post was deleted and it's something I've requested before.

A funny statistic might be the most censored users. The people who have had the most posts deleted by moderators.  Cheesy

That award should be the biggest shitposter  Grin.

I couldn’t even get a response from the moderator in the section my last post was deleted from when I messaged them about it asking why. I guess if judgement is going to be passed on a shitpost, an explanation is probably necessary. Otherwise it seems like this forum is fine with people spreading lies about others, abusing the trust network, or pulling scams, but don’t make a post a moderator might not like… Doesn’t matter if it’s the truth or not.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 19, 2024, 05:16:07 PM
True story. A friend who I talk to pretty regularly and have been trying to get into Bitcoin for 10 years now called me last night to ask me about the halving. He wanted to know if I was going to sell all my Bitcoin before the halving so I didn’t lose half of them. I thought he was kidding at first but no, he said he read all about it on Twitter…
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 19, 2024, 04:30:26 PM
I didn’t watch the weigh in but Devin Haney tweeted that Ryan Garcia didn’t make weight… I guess he missed it by 3 pounds! That’s insane. Ryan hasn’t taken anything about this fight from the beginning. Now it looks like it might not even happen. Bummer. I needed Ryan to lose as the last leg in a long parlay…

62k going to 63k. Red candle almost eaten up completely. Why did Bitcoin go down when Iran attacked Israel but now goes up as Israel attacks Iran? What is the logic behind this? Smells like market manipulation.

I think people were worried that Israel would disrupt Iran’s nuclear facilities causing the war to escalate. Iran came out and said that no such thing happened, so it is possible this may be the end of things for now or at least we likely won’t see a nuclear response. I believe that is when the price rebounded.

A pretty cool item and a unique piece of Bitcoin history. Must be exciting even to be the auction house chosen to auction it. With 5 days still to go and a price over half a Bitcoin already, it looks to be a successful endeavor already. Congratulations to everyone involved.

138  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 18, 2024, 11:42:14 PM
100 push ups for me is still quite heavy because I only do 10 x that's even after I stop worshiping, sometimes. The habit of exercise is good, the formation of a healthy and strong mindset, a fit body and a mentality that is ready to accept when bitcoin surpasses the price of $100,000, is a good preparation, although I think it is still a few weeks ahead and still needs good news.
If 100 push-ups are hard for you to do in a day, you can reduce the number to a number you can freely carry out without struggling so that you will not sustain a shoulder injury. It is not compulsory to complete the 100 push-ups daily if you do not have the required strength that will help you achieve it. Just do the numbers your strength will allow you to do. What matters most is to be consistent with this challenge, even if you are not maintaining the 100 push-ups a day.

Don’t sleep on getting a good night of rest either (see what I did there). I can notice a pretty big difference between getting 4 hours of sleep and waking up to do push-ups vs getting 7 hours of sleep and eating a good breakfast before working out. If you’re struggling with push-ups, give yourself every advantage. Sleep, food, stretching… Makes a difference.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 18, 2024, 11:33:58 PM
Team USA has released their roster for the upcoming 2024 Olympics.

LeBron James
Stephen Curry
Kevin Durant
Joel Embiid
Devin Booker
Jayson Tatum
Anthony Davis
Tyrese Haliburton
Anthony Edwards
Jrue Holiday
Bam Adebayo
Kawhi Leonard

Who do you think should have been there?

I think Domantas Sabonis showed over the last two years that he’s an elite player. I wouldn’t have complained if he were on the team. I think Paul George also deserved a spot. After the injury he suffered while playing for the Olympic team, he really should have a lifetime offer to be on this team. Zion would be a nice addition too but I think he’s too young and doesn’t have his priorities right yet.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 18, 2024, 11:28:27 PM
AI might have a way to go still on interpreting sporting events. Grok had a funny take on the recent Warriors vs Kings game. When asking it for a recap it created this article. Funniest AI story I’ve seen yet. So many people were criticizing Klay Thompson’s performance that AI legitimately thought he was vandalizing Sacramento with bricks. Lol
