Rolling from yesterday's win and trying to keep it going...  I've selected a few teams with the points spread today.  A bit unusual for me but I didn't like the odds I was getting or the matchups really so it had to be done.  Good luck today everyone!  Stack those sats before the halving!

Charlotte Hornets - Orlando Magic
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Orlando Magic

New Orleans Pelicans - San Antonio Spurs
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
New Orleans Pelicans

Milwaukee Bucks - Toronto Raptors
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Milwaukee Bucks

Dallas Mavericks - Golden State Warriors
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Golden State Warriors (7.5)

Phoenix Suns - Minnesota Timberwolves
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Minnesota Timberwolves (6.5)

Getting a good night of sleep and not being tired when handling important tasks is underrated. I learned early on in life how important sleep could be just playing video games. Sometimes late at night as a kid I would struggle with a certain part of a game for hours, only to fall asleep and beat it first thing in the morning. That was enough to convince me to take sleep seriously in life.
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 05, 2024, 04:26:03 PM
When you take a look at the some forum posts, you will be amazed at how many people are wondering if the bull run is over and if they should sell their BTC - which means that they have no sense of the times they are in.

But it makes me sad when I know who is going to buy theier BTC if those people are selling.

If people haven’t figured out the four year cycle by now, it’s sort of their own fault. It should have been obvious to everyone by 2018 what was going on.

Now that Genesis is done selling, GBTC sales will slow and with the halving closing in, we could see another move upward coming soon. Mtgox is almost done distributing USD to creditors though, which means BTC distributions are right around the corner. Those are expected to be done by October at which point it will be time to launch. I’m expecting us to all be very excited watching the price head to the moon around Halloween, which could end up being a 6-12 month trip to $200K+.

Nothing too exciting today.  I did notice Draymond Green saying in an interview that he's excited about the opportunity to knock Houston out of the playoff hunt, so I'm expecting some bad blood in today's game but I think the Warriors will deliver.  They haven't liked the Rockets team and have had plenty of words exchanged with them this year.  I also think Dallas should easily beat the Hawks, but we'll see...

Dallas Mavericks - Atlanta Hawks
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks

Houston Rockets - Golden State Warriors
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Golden State Warriors

Odds
1.84

Still much of cagey game to end the first half between Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks, the Mavs have not been able to take the game by the scruff of the neck yet, but they'll head into the locker room with a 7 points advantage, having just taken their first lead of the game few minutes before the end of the 2nd quarter. Warriors on the other hand started the game with good rhythm, both Steph and Clay scoring 16 points from the Warriors 33 points of the first quarter, that's got to be the best positive start for any Warriors game.

--------------------

I went with 76ers ML @ 2.27 vs the Miami Heat, with Joel Embiid back, things can only get better for 76ers surely as they've got a really good roster to bank on right now.

The Warriors came through for sure with a big win. I figured they would. Any time a team makes it personal you can expect them to give more effort than usual. I didn’t look at the Dallas stats yet but they shouldn’t need much to have won that game. I’m glad I took home a W for the day. Until tomorrow…
265  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do I tell people about my crypto escrow services/server? on: April 04, 2024, 11:55:32 PM
I think someone starting a crypto escrow service is a bit of a red flag in itself. For example, I’m probably one of the longest running escrow agents here that has escrowed nearly 20,000 BTC over the years. I got into it because I became someone people trusted and then started being asked to provide escrow. Trying to start an escrow business without first becoming trusted seems unlikely.

One thing to notice about the Malachi Flynn game is that dude managed to score 50 points with amazing efficiency, 18/25 fg is not what you are used to seeing from a 50 point game, and yet Pistons still lost the game. Do you know how bad you have to be to not win a game when just one of your players play like that?

I mean there is a reason why they broke the longest losing streak in the world type of record, they are seriously bad, like as in even worse than "trust the process" period of sixers, they are the worst team I have ever seen in over 20 years of me watching NBA. You gotta win this game man, dude did everything for you and you still didn't manage to get anything going for the whole game, that makes no sense at all.

I had no idea who he was before the 50 point outburst, which made him the lowest averaging points per game player to ever do it. He had to be efficient as I’m sure it wasn’t in the game plan for him to score so much. It will be interesting to see if he gets more playing time as a result or if it was just a one time fluke.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the lost BTC? on: April 04, 2024, 02:44:30 PM
Pretty early on I had a hard drive crash and took with it my Bitcoin wallet.  I had my private keys backed up of course but I still had some learning to do about change addresses.  I still have no idea how much BTC is sitting in that wallet in change addresses that I was unable to recover and I also am aware of an address that had at least 0.4 BTC on it that wasn't backed up at the time of the crash, so at the very least I have a dead hard drive with 0.4 BTC on it.  Maybe someday it will be enough to have someone try and recover it and maybe they'll find me a lost stash of who knows how much BTC in change addresses.  I'm certain there's some and possibly as much as 50 BTC, but I don't trust any technician enough to hand over my hard drive and compromise my keys.  Someday...
268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Posts Bond, Letitia James Most Hurt on: April 04, 2024, 02:38:58 PM
How does that have anything to do with the fact Donald Trump claims to be a billionaire, have a lot of cash and yet, seems to struggle to post a bond and now has forced himself to sell Bibles for profit?
One thing is to give away Bibles for the sake of religion and spirituality, but a completely different one is to do it for the sake of money how he is doing. At this pace, I would not be surprised Donald Trump ends up becoming some kind of infomercial host or something similar.
I will change my opinion when actual and verified Billionaires start to record themselves about pretty Bibles and Sneakers they are selling (over-priced) to pay for legal expenses. Hint: Very unlikely to happen.

If he had honor and was actually a billionaire, he would have refused the over one hundred million dollars being offered from a Californian fan for him to post as bond, because we would be able to pay for himself on time...  Roll Eyes

It sounds to me like you don't understand how rich people operate.  Do you think they just have mounds of cash getting eaten by inflation and that's how they became rich and successful?  Obviously no rich person has tons of cash sitting around.  It's just not smart.  Rich folks have money tied up in income producing or appreciating assets.  They don't leave money sitting around to be devalued.  Trump is no exception.  This whole idea that he isn't a billionaire because he doesn't have hundreds of millions of dollars laying around is such an ignorant position to take.  Even Elon Musk had to sell Tesla stock and get loans to buy Twitter and that's while he was the richest man in the world...
269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the countdown begin❗️ on: April 04, 2024, 02:20:09 PM
It's starting to get exciting...  I've had a couple friends already reach out to me to see if I'll be celebrating the halving on 4/20.  I feel pretty confident in saying that there will be some hijinks occurring.  Life feels more and more like a simulation each day...  I wish we didn't have to wait another year for the halving to really set in and propel us to the moon, but knowing it's coming will have to be enough cause for celebration.  I actually think this is the most exciting halving yet, and it's number 4 for me.  Knowing what to expect makes it quite an event...
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 04, 2024, 02:15:34 PM
Just funny though that in the beginning and if I still recall it correctly, some of us thinks that Wemby is just over hype rookie and we even put Chet above him for the rookie of the year as Chet is with a good team while Wemby's San Antonio is struggling.

But now we talk about his as DPOY which he is still a huge underdog against his country man @12.00, as compare to Gobert @1.02.

I guess we've seen him enough to say that he is no longer overrated as he has proved his skills already.

Maybe it has help him to play like he is expected to, the criticism he received made him better and now we are seeing the real beast in him. He is truly and Alien with a skills of an exceptional big man. he is still young, a lot of improvement he can do for himself and for his team, and as long as he keep himself healthy, the Spurs will likely be back to the playoffs again.

Odds now for DPOY, Gobert is still at the top, Wemby is next but not close.

https://www.covers.com/nba/nba-defensive-player-of-the-year-odds

I'm surprised to see Anthony Davis has fallen to number four on that list.  He was an early favorite to win DPOY after a great start defensively and I thought he was keeping it going.  He's even played in most of the games this season helping him shed the Street Clothes nickname.  I might have to take another look at the stats because I thought Anthony Davis was going to have his year, but now it seems that Gobert is going to win it again...  Not saying he doesn't deserve to win every year and his team is doing great, but I hoped we'd see a new name this year.

I love video games. I'm only trying to point out they are in abundance so don't FOMO into a single hyped up one.

Not sure I agree with that one. If you can’t focus one on game and get extremely good so you can regularly make little kids cry, are you even playing video games? I get your point though. There is no shortage of games to waste your time on these days, although I’m not sure diversifying your game playing experience makes much of a difference.

Source

I'm still a newcomer to the crypto industry and don't really know who he is, from his statement it seems like he's an idiot, is he a bitcoin hater? really, this is a serious question.

Story time. I tried to get an old friend of mine into Bitcoin a long time ago and he said he’s sticking with Peter Schiff and buying gold. He went on about how Bitcoin is a scam because Peter said it is worthless. I responded that Peter Schiff is an idiot. He didn’t talk to me after that until last month. He wants to buy BTC now. They’re coming around.
274  Economy / Gambling / Re: House Edge on: April 03, 2024, 10:39:14 PM
I think it is likely the decision of the site owner to decide what their edge is. Maybe one casino has less users and has to charge a higher fee in order to profit. It shows that shopping around can be beneficial when it comes to casinos. It also shows that Stake is a less costly place to gamble online. Smiley

the sweat that comes out of the body also help in reducing sugar level which can also help to reduce quick ejaculation for men.

“It’s not my fault sweetheart, it was that damned dessert after dinner. I told you not to order the chocolate lava cake and now look at me. Flaccid as a worm in a jar of melatonin.”

- Men after eating too much sugar

I can’t say I’ve heard that before but I’ll believe you because it’s funny.

276  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling kills the fun in these two cases on: April 03, 2024, 09:57:03 PM
Do not make gambling your only source of income or your only means of entertainment, as this will eliminate the first goal of gambling, which is pleasure.
My take on this is to not make gambling your source of income at all. Gambling is too risky to be made a source of income. People that are making it a source of income are failing as they lose more than win.

This. I’ve said it a million times. Gambling is a form of entertainment, not income. You wouldn’t go into a strip club thinking you’re going to walk out with more money than you walked in with would you? What about a sporting event or a movie? Sure, you can win money gambling, but that is to increase the fun. It should be about paying to have fun playing games.

278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 03, 2024, 08:40:24 PM
Speaking of individual statistics… I just read a crazy Wemby stat… It said that he already has more career blocks than over 86% of players in NBA history. Granted a lot of smaller position players don’t get a lot of blocks naturally, but I still thought it sounded incredibly impressive. I underestimated the kid.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 03, 2024, 03:51:02 PM
After so many months of gains in a row (setting a new record) I think the market might benefit from a breather here.  Sure, it's the halving month so that might seem crazy...  I don't think so though.  I think we're going to be seeing a lot of panic from newbies as well as a lot of profit taking from wall street that will result in a difficult month for BTC.  It'll of course be temporary, but there's no denying we'll have some selling pressure.  The block reward is getting so low though, it won't last long.  We're due for new record highs and price discovery, I just think we're a few months away still.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 03, 2024, 03:43:17 PM
It seems like everyone is rooting for "Mark Daigneault - Thunder" to win the coach of the year award, we have 4 votes and all is on this coach.

Looks like 5 now.  Funny that nobody picked any other coach.  It's the obvious pick though.  The OKC Thunder have clearly overperformed this year and won far more games than anyone predicted or expected they would.  Without a huge star (I know...) you really have to give credit to the coaching staff.  I have no doubt they did an excellent job this year and I think the actual NBA voters will come to the same result as this thread's participants with the coach of the year award.  He's earned it.  Still think they don't make it out of the first round of the playoffs though.
