Ukraine VS Russia. Ideological or Economical conflict?

Same religion, similar language, same ethnolinguistic group (Slavic). Ukraine was even part of ZSRR 30 years ago. So there is no Ideological difference. Its only economic and strategic/military reason for conflict. Economical reason was pointed out by OP. Strategic/military reason is that Ukraine was tryign to join European Union and NATO which would enable NATO to place their military bases and missiles 450KM from Moscow. It is unacceptable if you consider your country to be one of the top 3 powers where everyone else is your enemy (that's what Russians seams to think about themselves)
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: March 20, 2022, 08:11:23 AM
There is a new Idena Chronicle with AMA recap:

https://medium.com/@idena.network/idena-chronicles-7629afabb6bb

In which we can find a new proposal:

IIP-4 Quadratic staking:

"Idena core team has been receiving many requests from the community to add percentage yield to the identity stake and allow stake replenishment. Staking can make the iDNA coin more attractive for investors and reduce inflation by locking coins in stakes.

However, the traditional (linear) staking model leads to inequality because large coin holders can extract the major part of the profits from staking. With Proof-of-Personhood in mind, we can offer quadratic staking reward schemes that are free of capital bias. We invite the community to consider this quadratic staking proposal and discuss its advantages:

Quadratic staking can make the iDNA coin more attractive for investors and reduce inflation by locking coins in stakes. This can lead to faster network growth.
Quadratic staking can make an older identity more valuable and would incentivize people to not terminate their identities.
Quadratic staking can improve security of the protocol because larger stakes increase the value of each identity. In other words, quadratic staking will lead to the growth of the capitalization of many identities resulting in higher security of the network.
Identity’s stake is a security measure that ensures that the private key of a valid identity cannot be purchased without the risk of losing the stake and identity status. We see benefits in being able to replenish the identity stake and get rewarded for that but only if it leads to a balanced rise in stakes for a large number of identities. We consider the staking to be undesirable when it leads to the domination of a few large coin holders. We propose quadratic staking that discriminates against large coin holders and encourages smaller players to increase their stakes."
https://github.com/idena-network/idena-docs/discussions/69

Same voting power but faster mining for indentities with bigger stake? Am I geting it right?

"Quadratic staking can make an older identity more valuable and would incentivize people to not terminate their identities."

If you allow "stake replenishment" than it does not make older identity more valuable since you can add stake to 1 epoch old account and make it mine faster than 50 epoch old account?
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do altcoins represent themselves for the first time? on: March 20, 2022, 07:54:30 AM
I am doing a research on cryptocurrency market & I was wondering if there are any platforms specific for representation.

If you are new to crypto I highly suggest you to stick with top 10 projects on CMC. Top 50 if you already know something and you are willing to take extra risk. Its pointless to research all new projects because there are more thank 18 000 projects and every day dozens new are coming. Its not like all of them tries to solve something new or tries to do something better than others. Its like 17900 out of them were created just to scam people. Collect money form investors and continue to pretend of doing something ... Research top 10 ... max top 50.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where can a tourist exchange their BTC without excessive requirements? on: March 20, 2022, 07:24:52 AM
hello, I'm in the city (NYC) and I would like to know how a tourist can easily exchange their BTC.

I tried some ATM's in town, but I was required to have an American phone number for registration.

honestly, I would like to do the good and old P2P exchange with someone. any contact or place?

tks

I don't know how is it with NYC but in many countries to have regional phone number all you have to do is go to shop and buy pre-payed sim card (f.e. with pre-loaded 5$) and use it without kyc. So maybe the easiest way would be to get US phone number and use it with ATMs.
1505  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is trick for average joe but financial people know truth on: March 19, 2022, 02:42:42 PM

Nop they can not they cant go over inflation rate.
Its not game money is real and if they did too much they have to take it back agressive ways more rate hikes also until they get balance sheet what was b4

IF and only IF they are able to achieve that without destroying companies and jobs, without creating recession or economic crisis. Because at the and of the day people in charge care about winning next election only. You will not win one if, under your control country have seen collapse of economy. So you print just a little bit more to survive next few years. Its easier to avoid peoples anger with 10% rather than 20% unemployment considering a fact that the level of education in the field of economics is so negligible in society that the concept of inflation is foreign.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins will explode in 2022? on: March 19, 2022, 02:29:22 PM
Looks like we have the same views of Tytanowy Janusz though I'm with the fundamental things. I'm thinking as well that Metaverse-align tokens are set to explode, it may not be this year alone but in the coming year/s to come.

Fundamental investor buy cheap and sell high. Speculate/technical trader buy high (f.e after breaking resistance, higher than below resistance) and tires to sell even higher. From fundamental point of view metaverse is far form cheap. Projects that no one is using (they only claim to achieve big things in the future) are evaluated at $4B. thats not cheap for a promise only.

Projects with good fundamentals if BNB - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208144.msg53299809#msg53299809 but its not listed here.

I've pick those 2 projects not because of fundamentals. They are all just promise of achieve something big in future. they are all not worth the price. But I think that it may not be the end metaverse bubble. There might be one final push and then 5 years of bear market and comeback to true evaluation (-95%).
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins will explode in 2022? on: March 19, 2022, 01:50:58 PM
If this is not the end of the bull run, if this is not the end of the metaverse bubble (strongest gainers during last bull move), then projects like sand or mana look interesting on weekly candles:

Atom looks good too

All charts are logarithmic charts with weekly candles.

I think this thread may end up pumping a particular coin or few of them. You have made a lot of picks on the list. On to my pick, I think I want to choose Shiba Inu as first choice and I think Tron may also do a surprise because it started going for increase at the last bull before bitcoin dropping back.

Good luck with this meme coin that was just a meme ... and after 5 months some people still didn't get the joke

Average pleb the 9-5 kind of guy have idea how the finances working.
But but... we know central banks do rate hikes so it will decrease money supply we will have shortage of money ohh you not been told that this inflation is just temporary.
But in speed how the prices going up soon 90% people will be out of money its like in crypto we been learned assets prices been pumped up.
The money what was printed it will not last long much so you pay for all high prices as you been duped of this "inflation"

Oil energy food goods and all others is just everbody will pump their own bags.
Futures positions will be long now but dont forget the wall street can make good profit shorting market such us oil and energy and then everybody will be surprised and everybody try to catch a dip but the truth is OUR world works how much central banks do money supply.

Amd very soon we will have shortages of money and prices will fall fast once the average JOE is empty of any money amd savings.

Go and tell your story to people living in Germany after WW1 or now to people from Wenzuela, Zimbabwe or Turkey. While fighing inflation central bankers reduce money supply as much as they can but there are limits to that. For example try to raise rates from 1% to 20% so that people with variable rate mortgage loans get their loan installment pumped by 500%. Try to pay your own debt (as govement) with 20x higher debt servicing costs... Inflation is not something you control like the color of the socks you plan to wear the next day. It is the result of complex processes and after exceeding certain levels it is unstoppable.
1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 18, 2022, 03:14:15 PM
Residents of any country in the world can officially use only the national currency as a means of payment (if somewhere this is not the case, then correct me). Of course, you can pay in any other currency in a dark alley, if you agree, but the only legal means is always the national currency of the country of your residence. If you look at the situation from this point of view, then why would the governments of any country allow the use of bitcoin as a means of payment? Other currencies are not allowed, but bitcoin will be allowed. Why would governments suddenly be given such privileges for bitcoin? For me personally, this is obvious and my forecasts are pessimistic in this regard. The maximum, in my opinion, that they will allow is to officially invest in bitcoin and generously allow you to share % of the profits with them.

I think you are wrong here.

Legal tender (national currency) - "is a form of money that courts of law are required to recognize as satisfactory payment" (wiki). So it does not mean that you are forced to use it to pay for something. It means that you are forced to accept it if someone is trying to use it to pay for something. So you can legally pay for TV using your PC (barter exchange - Is bartering legal in the US?) if someone else is accepting such payment.

Many shops in my country (especially those close to borders) have 2 prices on each product (national currency and euro) so that tourists could easily pay using both currencies.

Z projektów innego typu to podobnie wygląda Atom:

1513  Local / Polski / Re: Rosja - Ukraina on: March 18, 2022, 08:24:04 AM

Rosjan"

1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive Income From Staking Stablecoins? on: March 17, 2022, 03:11:46 PM
Stablecoin staking is ok for few investors but in my opinion if you stake in stablecoin in low rate insted you can earn by deposit on bank account. I think all should choose altcoin staking because altcoin staking is high apy in the staking depands on coin quality also in this sector you should also first research about this coin also beacause if you stake for few years there also possiblity of losing price also. But if you choose a gd coin then other side you will earn a lot also from apy and also price increase!!

Good luck with yolo all your net worth equal 1 mln $ (the case OP is talking about) into shitcoin only because it claims to yell high apy (which in fact in 99% cases is made via inflation of existing coins). Legit projects APY is max 10% and its nothing compared to daily volatility. Thats the easiest way of losing all your money.

20 % in value stocks (high dividend, low debt, good P/E and P/BV)
30% in gold
20% in crypto
10% in reits
20% in bonds

thats how diversified you should be while investing 1 mln$ from OP.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive Income From Staking Stablecoins? on: March 17, 2022, 12:08:40 PM
I am aware inflation means prices go up but wages stay the same.

There are many different inflations: Monetary inflation, CPI - consumer price index, PPI - Producer Price index and many more. None of them is described by situation in which wages stay the same.

But back OP

If you have 1 mln $ and you put everything in non popular stablecoins and lock it in a strange smart contract (most popular one - pancake pays 1-5% not 10-12%) you are exposed with all your wealth to exit scam of stable coin, failure of smart contract (including hacks). Is it worth 8% annually. In my opinion its not.

I heard people say in western countries, you need million dollars isn't rich and you need at least 2 million dollars at least to be considered rich.

When you have 1 mln $ you buy a nice house, car, you pay for children's studies and you are left with 200k$. You are wealthy but not rich

I am aware of inflation being an all time high. But if inflation keeps going this high, then earning 8% isn't even doing much besides barely beating it?

Yes. Your 1 mln $ is worth 8% less each year so after a year of staking you have 1.08 mln $ but have similar purchasing power to 1 mln $ year ago.
1516  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: March 17, 2022, 11:30:50 AM
Hello everyone , I wanted to increase my monthly earnings and for that I know I need to have some skills.
Currently I do write articles, but not getting paid as I would like.
I am willing to learn some more skills so that I can get good paid freelance work here in this forum or any other freelance website.
Can you please guide me what should I learn.
Some options I thought digital marketing or take a course on blockchain.
Please give me some advice. I want to earn good money and for that I am ready to work hard and learn some good skills which would help me do so.

If you need money here and now all you need is good english and some sense about crypto. Just go to "services" section and spend some time in there.

I know that this guys is honest (is not going to cheat you):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5314182.msg56256240#msg56256240
Or this guy:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=131333

But if you want to change your life more than just earn few $$ more than learning programming is the best way. And not blockchain coding. It has very narrow applications even when creating blockchain based projects. Its better to know front end to code projects homepages or backend (harder but more money).
1517  Local / Polski / Re: Rosja - Ukraina on: March 17, 2022, 11:20:34 AM

W przypadku rosji jeszcze wiecej ... traci krocie.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82fbDGgBGE0&t=620s&ab_channel=GoodTimesBadTimesPL

dot. Spotkań USA i Chiny:

Traci europa.
1518  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: March 16, 2022, 07:37:20 PM

Gdy siły są wyrównane sankcje przypominają sytuację w której oboje zabraniamy sobie jeść i czekamy aż pierwszy z nas umrze z głodu.

1519  Local / Polski / Re: Rosja - Ukraina on: March 16, 2022, 07:29:55 PM

1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTT (new) Vs BTT (old) on: March 06, 2022, 02:34:03 PM
It seems to me that out of boredom and in the final act of desperation to wake up the price action, the team decided to do a denomination where 1000 BTT (new) = 1BTT (old) so that token looks cheaper (looks more like pump and dump meme coins). I doubt there was any other reason for that because BTT price was already super small.
