1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment: $15.000 - 12 vs 15 coins on: April 23, 2022, 06:02:55 AM
Imagine someone offers you to choose between 2 wallets, each worth 15k. Which one would you choose?

option 1: 12 coins worth $15.000
[shitcoins]

option 2: 15 coins worth $15.000

$1.000 Ethereum (ETH)
[shitcoins]

What time frame? 1 month, 1 year, 10 years?

Out of those 2 wallets I would definitely chose wallet 2 because there is at least 1000$ in valuable project (ETH) that I know will survive bear market that we are in (most likely). So in long way wallet 1 will lose 99% in value in next few years, while wallet 2 will lose 95%.

Investing in shiba inu? XD man its not 2020-2021. Meme coins train is already gone. This joke is not funny anymore.
SOL, AVAX, ATOM - do you think they will survive after ETV v2 launch? All faster and cheaper ETH alternatives are good only because Eth is expensice ... for now.
SAND and MANA - they are evaluated so high compared to user base they have. Whole metaverse is too much hyped right now. Of course its a big thing. Of course whole industry will grow 1000x ... but not in 2022, not in 2025. Until then most of most hyped projects that we see now will die. Metaverse will be a big thing after Neuralink success. Maybe in 2030. And I doubt that someone who will deliver brain implants (neuralink or its successor) will not create a metaverse game for it and let other projects eat cake.

Where is BTC and BNB, why are they not listed you? I admit that Ethereum is an incoming investment and has potential value for the long term.

But for me this is too many coins, I don't really like portfolios with lots of coins that I don't know which means I don't keep up with the developments except for the current top 3 coins then it's already in my bag.

I think $15,000 is a big amount 50% is suitable for Bitcoin and 20$ for Ethereum so the rest is according to coins which we can follow all developments.

50% bitcoin, 20%BNB, 20% ETH, 10% microcaps (below top 500 cmc) to have exposure to positive black swans.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Help ! How to sell my ERC20 token or read the contract ? on: April 22, 2022, 06:09:36 PM
On dextools : Warning: This token appears to be unsellable, be aware! Do your own research before buying it.

Thanks

Most likely its the reason why you are not able to sell your coins:

Quote
edit: Check out the contract on etherscan. If it's not decompiled, decompile it.

in this case, the contract has a clause preventing anyone but the owner from swapping.

modifier ensure(address _from, address _to) {

address UNI = pairFor(0x5C69bEe701ef814a2B6a3EDD4B1652CB9cc5aA6f, 0xC02aaA39b223FE8D0A0e5C4F27eAD9083C756Cc2, address(this));

require(_from == owner || _to == owner || _from == UNI);

_;

}

unapprovable contracts are another popular scam: Look for the approve function.

Here's a normal, perfectly approvable token:

function approve(address spender, uint256 value) public returns (bool) {

require(spender != address(0));

_allowed[msg.sender][spender] = value;

emit Approval(msg.sender, spender, value);

return true;

}

Here's an unapprovable trap

def approve(address _spender, uint256 _value) payable:

require calldata.size - 4 >= 64

if not caller:

revert with 0x8c379a000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000,

Basically if there's an address in there, or more than like 6 lines of code, it's probably trash.

Before I started cryptocurrency trading I have always hard this friend who is a pro cryptocurrency trader and have always shown me his profits but never told me how long he has been into cryptocurrency trading, but I have known him for crypto trading for close to two years now and in this period I only saw his success stories.

Now I decided to start trading after many persuasion and am beginning to have a rough experience but all the while I have only viewed cryptocurrency trading as an all good venture

2 years of successes for your friend? Well we bull market for last 2 years so it was quite easy to profit when almost all coins pump 5-100x in that period and whole market pumped from $150B to $2.9T (20x) (total marketcap of all coins including bitcoin). I'm not surprised at all that you have a rough experience now when whole market dumped from 2.9T$ to 1.8T$ in last 5 months and some projects dumped 80% already. Its hard time even for experienced traders.

if you are just starting ... limit your entry to minimum. Like 10$ per trade. This will limit your learning cost because most likely you will wipe out your portfolio many times. Especially during bear market.
1444  Other / Archival / Re: Bears continue to dominate on: April 22, 2022, 05:39:15 PM
Long term everything could happen, there is a scenario for every direction and all look realistic to me:
- war is over, China goes back to normal, the fear of another economic crisis goes away everyone turns bullish again
- the situation goes on, purchasing power is eroding, less money to be spent on investment, companies become less anxious to throw money at everything, we have to counterbalance $30million of printed coins each day, we go down
- we keep going from positive to negative with both bullish and bearish news till something really big happens, and when I say big something beyond a part of a city on an island in Honduras accepting BTC

4 - FED is rising interest rates, price of assets are falling down, GDP is falling down, recession is starting. FED throws down the towel and reduce interest rates to zero and than below zero (there are signs of that in option market - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs_XwgDguB8&ab_channel=GeorgeGammon). FED starts to print as much as it is possible as long as dollar has any value. Bitcoin is going to 1 mln $ but $ have 1/5 of current purchasing power. And I think its the most possible scenario for long term.

What awaits bitcoin in the medium term, at least in the next 3 months?

In 3 months? i think that bear trap with dump to 29k is possible looking at how chart is acting now. Locking all bear below support and than push up.
1445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is naturally gravitating to green energy on: April 22, 2022, 05:17:54 PM
I think there is a misconception that everyone is repeating. Bitcoin is producing 0 CO2 or close to 0 because Bitcoin is not a power station. Its only a client of power station like McDonald, supermarkets, banks and everyone else. How about we calculate how much electricity are shopping centres consuming and force them to go green by placing solar farms in the place of parking spots to make them more green... Or close all of them down because we can buy online. Power plants should go green not bitcoin should stop using electricity from power stations.

O to chodziło?

1448  Local / Polski / Re: krypto-krypto bez podatku także przed 2018 on: April 20, 2022, 05:09:22 PM

https://www.bankier.pl/wiadomosc/Kryptowaluty-a-podatek-Jest-korzystny-wyrok-NSA-dla-inwestorow-8321252.html

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/elonbank/

1450  Local / Polski / Re: Lightning Network - ogólna dyskusja on: April 19, 2022, 04:41:50 PM

Np lepsze wyszukiwanie postów, lepsze powiadomienia itp. Ale masz rację. System merit był dodatkową użytecznością która odmieniła forum poprzez głównie redukcję spamu i nadanie sensu rangom. Wcześniej im większy i dłużej działający spamer tym wyższa ranga.

1452  Other / Archival / Re: The future BTC price and technical indicators on: April 17, 2022, 09:29:00 AM
If these indicators really worked, then many would already be in big profit. Just buy bitcoin, set an indicator showing the new ATH, place an order and wait. Profit.

To be honest i think that not many people are looking at indicators around ATH. They are too focused on finding the best looking yacht that they will buy with their paper gains ...if we will do another X10 Smiley

In fact, this is not a stable indicator for determining the price of bitcoin, just like the increase in the hash power of the bitcoin network. Let's take data on Google queries for the last 12 months:
[...]
As you can see, when Bitcoin reached the last ATH in November, the number of requests was low. They began to decline after the May events and never rose again. But the market first fell, and then returned back to the values at which it was in April and May, but the requests did not respond to this in any way. So this metric doesn't always work well.

We hit new ATH by few %. We were not hiting new high after high. It was only a bull trap. I'm talking about situation when whole market is on fire. Just like during 2017 bubble or Jan-May 2021. And this indicator was quite good:

Not the perfect indicator, I agree. But it helps to spot when massive wave of retail investors have just found out about bitcoin. Definitely helpful.

We dont need millions actually to develop a MVP we need just like $30k but we are Ukrainians and it's not easy money for us here to earn them yourself.

And we are looking for small money on seed for NFT and overall GameFi industry just 150k$ for seed round. But i agree with you in overall.

Thank you for your feedback!

"What Is the Average Salary of a Software Developer in Ukraine? In Ukraine, the average salary for a senior software developer is $51K a year or around $4,250 a month."
https://www.daxx.com/blog/outsourcing-ukraine/what-average-salaries-for-developers-in-ukraine

And
"How much money do you need to live comfortably in Ukraine?
Family of four estimated monthly costs are 1,437$"
https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Ukraine

So if you are a team of programmers "we have skills" it shoudl be possible for you to earn or borrow such money. And to be honest I don't know from where you took those numbers.

I see how no names just blowing up from zero to hero in one day. Some projects that you never heard about and booom 20 tweets in one day 20m invested 10k discord and only promises about launch in 2023,2024 but how they did it where did they found support like this. I can't understand it. If we even can develop the product by ourselves how we can advertise him without money and advisors and funds support. No one believes in our product without funds and its true.

Big money creates more money by market manipulation and social engineering.
1454  Other / Archival / Re: The future BTC price and technical indicators on: April 17, 2022, 08:36:01 AM
Who has any thoughts on this?

There is a technical indicator that helps to set price targets above ATH. Its fibonacci retracements (1.618, 2.618 3.618 and 4.236 levels). Same with ATL. But for me the best indicator that helps to spot market top for bitcoin when we are above ATH is google trends. Simply how many people are searching phrases like "how to buy bitcoin" "what is bitcoin" or simple "bitcoin". If we are at historical high ... most likely we are at the market top too.
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: All that printed money year 2021 where it is ? on: April 17, 2022, 08:19:49 AM
there is no accurate data that states that the USD issued by the Bank of America is reserved in USDT and USDC ... as far as I know the USD that has been launched is usually used in the American economy and also international transactions,,, because basically many countries need USD for their transactions

In fact it is. Starting from Jan 2021:

$45B of USDC was printed (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/usd-coin/), and around $55B in usdt(https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/). Total $100B. While m2 money suppply of USD pumped from $19.4T to $21.8t - $2 400B
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2SL

So only 4% of newly printed money went to stable coins. Assuming that none on existing USD were converted into stable coins (which is not correct)

And thats USD only. Other countries were printing too. for example ECB.
So OP is wrong. Only small fraction was converted to USDC and USDT.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me the wei to success in crypto for products on: April 17, 2022, 07:56:14 AM
we have skills to make a product and have everything is ready to start development and we only need money and advising.

Just start development and show working product man. Why in 2022 people need millions to start coding ... Did satoshi need advisors and investors with millions to start working on bitcoin? Same with Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Harley Davison and Disney. They all started in garages. Create product that everyone wants to use and then monetize it like uniswap or 1inch exchange did. ICOs spoiled people in crypto showing them than all you need to be rich is a desire to make a copy of something someone might do someday. We have 18 000 such projects in crypto. Its not like that anymore. At least i hope so.
1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Murphy's Law and Bitcoin: My Point of View on: April 17, 2022, 07:06:45 AM
So Like I said earlier Murphy's law doesn't mean bad things will happen. It simply means that whatever can happen will happen.
What do you think? I'd like to get your viewpoint.

Its a meme bro. This law is a meme and always was:

"
Academic and scientific views
According to Richard Dawkins, so-called laws like Murphy's law and Sod's law are nonsense because they require inanimate objects to have desires of their own, or else to react according to one's own desires. Dawkins points out that a certain class of events may occur all the time, but are only noticed when they become a nuisance. He gives as an example aircraft noise interfering with filming. Aircraft are in the sky all the time, but are only taken note of when they cause a problem. This is a form of confirmation bias whereby the investigator seeks out evidence to confirm his already formed ideas, but does not look for evidence that contradicts them.[18]

Similarly, David Hand, emeritus professor of mathematics and senior research investigator at Imperial College London, points out that the law of truly large numbers should lead one to expect the kind of events predicted by Murphy's law to occur occasionally. Selection bias will ensure that those ones are remembered and the many times Murphy's law was not true are forgotten.[19]

There have been persistent references to Murphy's law associating it with the laws of thermodynamics from early on (see the quotation from Anne Roe's book above).[13] In particular, Murphy's law is often cited as a form of the second law of thermodynamics (the law of entropy) because both are predicting a tendency to a more disorganised state.[20] Atanu Chatterjee investigated this idea by formally stating Murphy's law in mathematical terms. Chatterjee found that Murphy's law so stated could be disproved using the principle of least action.[21]"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy%27s_law

Back to your story. Its sad to hear that but I think we will see more and more of this in the future. Almost the entire world is struggling with high inflation and the Russian war is not helping at all. In some countries it can be enough to cause hyperinflation and punish actions (jail for crypt, jail for gold) will be on regular basis. And people will not protest because most will be glad that the trickster has been caught. Tricksters that are not losing when everyone else is losing. Adam Fergusson in his book "When Money Dies" (germany during hiperinflation after WW1) - cites a newspaper article in which the editor complains about low penalties for people who traded ... flour ... illegally. Because after being released from prison, they go back to "crime". Police patrols caught people and ordered them to show their wallets to seize all foreign currencies.
In 1933 we had US gold confiscation where you were forced to give back your gold or you go to jail.

If I was you I would do anything I can to leave your country but its possible that country you will escape to will introduce similar laws in next few years.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Transactions Spike As $1,046,164,730 in BTC Leaves Crypto Exchange on: April 17, 2022, 06:38:46 AM
There is one thing that many people seams to not take into consideration. The fact that futures market is more and more popular. The fact that current daily volume on binance futures btc/usd trading pair is $5B while on spot $600M. You don't need transfer your BTC to exchange to sell it. For whale its easier to hedge it on leverage on binance futures using much bigger liquidity than transfer coins from cold wallet and sell it on less liquid market.

Such data can also be highly manipulated. People say that thanks to blockchain such data is possible to get and its super valuable. While BTC withdrawal from exchange cost 25$... so such manipulation is very cheap. Even exchange can tranfer founds form known cold wallet to unknown cold wallet to manipulate "coins on exchanges" chart.
