It was a very boring match. Punjab's batsmen looked completely aimless in this match. No other batsman can play better than Shikhar Dhawan. After winning the first two matches, this performance was not expected from Punjab's batsmen. The performance of the batsmen as well as the bowlers was poor. However, it was not possible to win on this pitch with such a low target. Still, if Punjab's bowlers put in a good performance, we might have had a chance to enjoy a competitive match. We have seen a completely one-sided match. It was just a waste of time.

Migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates and Oman are mostly the temporary ones. They work in these Emirates for a couple of years and then return to India or Pakistan. Now creating national cricket teams out of these players doesn't make any sense because the loyalties lie with their native countries and not with UAE or Oman. A few weeks ago, there was a match between Nepal and UAE being staged in Dubai. Despite the match being hosted by UAE, there was not a single fan in the stadium who supported that team. On the other hand, Nepal was being supported by thousands of fans.
I understand this all situation but still if they want to enjoy then surely need to change their policies or having better strategy for bringing things which increase interest of local peoples, and they will be able to have quality players in future as well or leave this all because peoples are not interested, and they are doing bad things which will hurt other countries which are working on merit but sadly have no enough sources. Even no one can force ICC or relative boards to bring better policies for adopting this all because we are no enough powerful to convey them for having things in this way with right now money is main thing, and they are taking good advantage after allowing these Gulf region countries for having teams with adopted players which are against the spirit of the game. There is a lot of education I rarely use in my life but all of it made me who I am and I use results of both education and experience if not everyday then very often. Maybe I could learn more purposefully but then it wouldn't be me, but someone else with a different life. And I prefer to stay me. Money and education both are important but you can't deny this fact that money is more important now to achieve anything in life like good education or to start a new life or business nothing is possible without money . And ICC know that these teams has a great revenue. And I have seen many people like the West Indies team due to its big sixes. By the I also hope that these two teams will qualify for the World cup. Of course, these two teams are the strongest among all that are left. These two are the strongest by far. No other team is actually going to come even close to them. These two, Sri Lanka and West Indies are performing well even against regular cricket-playing nations. Everyone is saying that Namibia is a strong team and they have native players and should qualify but then why did they lose the matches and therefore unable to qualify? This means that UAE / USA injected non-native players who are better than the native players and therefore their team qualifies. Being able to qualify as a nation is more important than including only native players in the team only to result in a loss.
I also want that the teams should only consist of native players, but when there are no such rules by ICC, Namibia could have taken advantage of this and included two or three foreign players and qualified.
I really don't agree with this suggestion. You are suggesting that teams such as Nepal and Namibia should pack their squads with foreigners from India and Pakistan and that will help them to win matches. But what is the point, if all the teams do that? There will be no diversity in cricket and it will become a game solely played by people of South Asian origin. Already the impact is being felt in countries such as Danmark and Netherlands. Previously these teams used to be comprised of mainly native players. But now the national team is mostly South Asian and as a result native children are rapidly losing their interest in the sport. In the long term, inclusion of foreign players do more harm than good. There is no point in this if you have native players who play cricket and you can make a team with them than why adding non native players in your national team . If Namibia have good players with them their cricket boards should just train and polish them to make a good team . USA and UAE don't have native players that play cricket that's why they made a team by using Asian players. |

Despite losing four wickets on the second day, Ireland dominated on the third day. This is really commendable. This team has improved tremendously in the Test format. Ireland's top order performance in both innings was very poor. Middle-order and lower-order batsmen batted responsibly after the top order did not play well. In second innings only 3 players scored runs that brought them back in the game. If few more have joined them then surely result will be quite different. The Irish team performed really well in this match. They also played well on the bowling-friendly pitch of Mirpur. The middle-order players batted responsibly despite being under a lot of pressure and led the team to big collections. I think this team will become more experienced if they get more opportunities to play in the Test format. The team has the ability. They have some talented players in their squad. However, I think their performance is somewhat erratic due to a lack of experience. More the matches played, the players will gain good experience playing international test matches. None expected such a performance from the team. Ireland team is good in ODI and T20 format cricket and with test match the team itself a debut as they've played very few matches. Slowly the teams will get more matches, following the test match the happened with Bangladesh there is another test match in this month against Sri Lanka. The team have got more talented players and they weren't able to perform due to the lack of experience. Ireland's team cannot be called weak in ODI and T20 formats. They have a very stable team. Sri Lanka VS New Zealand
The third and final T20 match between Sri Lanka vs New Zealand was very competitive. However, New Zealand won the match and won the series 1-0.
The Sri Lankan players managed to set a big target of 183 in this match. Kushal Mendis played brilliant innings of 73 off 48 balls. Also the performances of Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya and Shanaka were quite good. Every batsman in the team performed well in this match.
On the other hand, the batsmen of New Zealand were batting very responsibly from the beginning of the innings. After losing 3 wickets at the end of 19 overs, their collection was 173 runs. New Zealand needed 10 runs to win in the last over. Mark Chapman hit a six off the first ball of the 20th over but New Zealand lost three wickets in the next three balls. The match ended in quite a dramatic fashion. But New Zealand was lucky that they managed to win the match in the end.

I don't know what you are talking about. Qatar 2022 was marred by many controversies and scandals. Tickets were overpriced, LGBT and unmarried couples were discriminated against, and alcoholic beverages were banned at the last minute without prior warning. Qatar just wanted to showoff their petro-wealth, and I guess they managed to do that. I found the 2018 FIFA World Cup much better organized, compared to the 2022 edition. And to be very frank, I would say that 2022 edition was one of the worst ever since I started watching football. Some people believe the 2022 world cup was well organized but I didn't think the same way, they just spent lots of money to build the stadiums they won't need after the world cup, I mean for a country like Qatar without famous football teams where they hardly get qualified for the world cup building these stadiums was just wasting money but this time in the USA and two other countries there won't be a problem like this. This upcoming World Cup after a couple of years will be of course better than in Qatar yet Qatar did well to build those stadiums as they have money to throw away and they also showed off in the international arena of their capabilities.The only thing which cannot be forgiven to them is the number of workers that died during the building of such stadiums,they could care less for human life and that is a grave mistake which has gone strangely overlooked by the international community. I am pretty confident the 2026 World Cup will be much better as the countries hosting them are in a much better shape for hosting such events compared to Qatar which is a small country. Qatar hosted world cup and they started from scratch building stadiums setting up everything and after World cup they dismantled some of them and made sports centres to remaining. Qatar is country who's not developed in terms of football I'm comparison to America Europe who have a developed system . To their credit, Sri Lanka managed to win the first match in the series and therefore the series is tied at 1-1 right now. The first match was very tight (decided in super over), but the second one (which New Zealand won) was completely one-sided.
Sri Lanka's performance in the first match surprised everyone. Sri Lanka batsmen are not experienced enough. Still, they batted brilliantly and scored 196 runs. But in the second match, we got the expected performance from Sri Lanka. They collected only 141 runs. And they were badly defeated. I think we will see similar results in the third match. In the third match, we will see the dominance of New Zealand players. And New Zealand will win the series. Although though performance of Sri Lanka in the second match wasn't as good it is crucial to keep in mind that every game is unique and they still have a chance to improve in the third encounter. I never expected this Irish team to be so good from a score of fewer than 100 runs and losing 4 wickets. Now they have lost only 7 wickets with a lead of 79 runs. That is also against Bangladesh. This can be termed an incredible comeback by Ireland. None of us had expected a team with 3 test debutants to play so well. Bangladesh again proving that they are the worst test playing team.
What a change in the match situation. If the openers have contributed little to the team, now Ireland could've been in a good position. Even now the tail end players were performing good. McBrine at 60* and Adair at 11* keeps the runs coming. Bangladesh bowlers might've got tired of the Irish players. None could've expected such a comeback from the team. Already Ireland leads by 110 runs and somehow the team could set a target of 150 runs, which is quite good compared to its starting score. Everyone was expecting to this an easy win for Bangladesh but Ireland today have surprised everyone with their batting their 5th wicket partnership changed the entire course of game. Just by increasing slots to African and Asian countries it won't miraculously make them better.
We saw that with Qatar, every game they played it was painfully obvious that they were not at the required level to be there.
I guess this will become a bit more common in the next world cup, where more countries will qualify that don't really have the level we are used to see in the world cup.
It is not like additional slots are being given to Asian and African teams, not to improve their quality. This is a big misunderstanding. Additional slots are being given to them, because already there is an improvement in their quality. The previous allocation was based on the strength of teams half a century back, when Asian and African teams were quite weak. That is the reason why AFC/CAF were allotted so few slots compared to UEFA, for the 2022 Qatar edition. That mistake will be rectified for the 2026 edition. If Asian and African teamsarw weak in football that doesn't mean that don't deserve to play in fifa , if they are coming at level of qualification to play than why not giving them a chance to participate and show their skills . You never know how things will be and how many new talents will be explored during this process. |

Despite the UAE squad's recent success making them appear stronger, it is crucial to not dismiss the Jersey team. Every maych is a brand new chance for them to show off their abilities and anything might happen that day. The Jersey team can undoubtedly put up a fight against the UAE team with perseverance hard work and an optimistic outlook. In fact, most of the European teams are much better and they have better quality comparing African or Asian teams If you check the FIFA ranking or the teams who won the world cups in the past they were mostly European countries or some American counties like Brazil and Argentina that's why I think to have a world cup with better quality, if were are going to see more teams in the next world cup most of these teams should be europian.
It's not just about the teams that win, it's about the teams that participate and bring honor to their nation as well with whatever they have. If a team is destined to lose all their games in the group stages but end up winning at least one, even that makes the nation happy, or if they are calculated as not going out of the group stages, but they do end up going out of the group stages, it doesn't matter if they lose the next game, they did better than expected. These matter too for the nations and even though we only remember the winners, can you forget Morocco being so good? I am sure Moroccans will never forget that for many years. Those things matter. Yes, that's right, for a country that has never qualified for the World Cup finals, it must be a matter of pride for them when they manage to compete in the World Cup. With the addition of quotas from each continent, it will create a greater chance of becoming one of the teams participating in the World Cup later. I think they will definitely try hard to improve their quality. They also definitely don't want to just be a complement and fill in the empty slots. It should also be remembered that now besides Europe, countries outside Europe are slowly being able to talk a lot about the World Cup. We can take an example from the recently completed World Cup. As we wrap up the second day Test Bangladesh vs Ireland, Bangladesh has taken control over the match. Despite losing four quick wickets early, Harry Tector and Peter Moor managed to hold their wickets. However, in my opinion, it seems like the game will conclude on the third day as Bangladesh's bowlers are motivated enough to pick up the remaining batters. This would result in a defeat for Ireland by an innings.
Ireland's top order performed badly in the second innings. At the end of the second day, Ireland had collected only 27 runs and they had lost four wickets. Bangladeshi spinners Shakib and Taijul managed to pick up two wickets each. My guess is that it will be difficult for Ireland to stay at the crease till the second session tomorrow. If Harry Tector gets out early tomorrow, Ireland is likely to lose all their wickets in the first session. Because Bangladeshi spin bowlers are performing well on this pitch.
