If Kohli stops behaving like a monkey on the field and concentrates on his captaincy, then there is a good chance that RCB will enter playoffs this time. At this point, their entry is not yet guaranteed. On field theatrics and nepotism are two things that Kohli can't avoid. Maybe he should learn a lesson or two from Sanju Samson, who has led his side calmly so far. Ever since the IPL started in 2008, RCB has failed to win the trophy. Maybe it is time to experiment someone else with the captaincy. Someone who would give importance to actual game than on field drama.

Actually, I don't like players who cannot control their emotions on the field because if you cannot control your emotion on the field how are you supposed to keep a calm head when things are not going well for you? I mean a little expression of emotion is all right but you cannot be done enough to scream on the stumps mic.

And I don't want anyone to sledge in cricket because I believe it is a respected sport and all the players should be treated with respect by their opponent.

Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals

This match is going to be an interesting one. I don't think Chennai Super Kings are going to achieve anything even if they win because it doesn't matter at this point. They are already out of the tournament.
But, for Rajasthan Royals, a win is going to be very helpful because winning this match is going to confirm their advance to the next stage of the competition. So, I expect a win for the Rajasthan Royals.

Yes, but there might be some problems because the ICC is not controlled by one or two individual men. So even if a person tries to do the right thing there will be a lot of obstacles in his way. Unless there are some big changes in the personnel of ICC I don't think this is going to change. The reason why the fans are not too worried about it is because the fans are mostly interested in the bigger teams and the bigger tournaments like the IPL and the world cup. The fans generally don't watch the matches of associate teams.

Well, that is a problem of mentality. Only people with a sick mentality can do those things or say racist things to people. Actually, the Australian players had too much pride in themselves because they are one of the best teams ever to play cricket.

I will never understand how someone can say that to a person that he does not know personally. If they are friends with each other then it's okay because friends can do such things among each other but you cannot say that to a complete stranger or your opponent in this case.

It is not a relief for Srilanka considering they are far better test team than Bangladesh. I have mentioned this earlier Bangladesh would either try to win this series or draw it and considering their performance in this match I think they will try to win the next one.

ICC needs to change it's priorities. Right now, a small portion of the ICC revenue is directed towards the associate nations. But the issue is that this funding is proportional to performance. Teams such as Nepal and PNG can't compete against opponents such as Oman and UAE, because the latter group of teams are mostly comprised of former international and first class players from South Asia. Since the funding is based on performance, the lion's share of the money goes to teams such as Oman (who have teams made 100% from foreigners). And these foreigners go back to their country of citizenship after 2-3 years and therefore there is no real long term benefit for the popularity or growth of cricket in Oman or UAE.

Two decades ago, Australians were the only ones who would do sledging. Not just the Indians, but also the Poms and the Proteas used to complain about it. It was Sourav Ganguly who gave back some of it to the Australians for the first time. Sreesanth was the first Indian player who had the ability to sledge, but he got banned as a result of internal politics. Now I would say that Indian players are more experienced in sledging compared to the Australians (especially Kohli, Saini, Bumrah.etc), but manytimes they cross the limit and antagonize the Indian cricket fans.

Sri Lanka  VS Bangladesh

Bangladesh finished their first innings with 465 runs. They are 68 runs ahead of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka are now batting in the third session of the fourth day. Undoubtedly, this match will be a draw. And my guess is today’s third session and tomorrow’s full day we will see Sri Lanka batting. But after a long time we saw the perfect batting of Bangladeshi batsmen in Test format. The Bangladeshi batsmen were very inexperienced for the Test format.

Punjab kings is good with a good batting order. So, it looks like an easy winning for Punjab Kings. At the beginning of the Delhi Capitals innings it looked like score will reach above 200 runs. At the middle order the score didn't come up, and the Punjab Kings bowlers made use of the opportunity and restricted within 160 runs which is something an easy reachable target.

Bangladesh has missed few opportunities to break the 9th wicket partnership. They missed catches, they missed to make run out. Sri Lanka got all out in 397 runs. But the disappointed fact is that Mathews got out at his 199 runs. Day 2 has ended now. Bangladesh has collected 76 runs without losing any wicket. Both openers are playing very well. Sri Lankans player has dropped some catches too.

Players who represent their country at national level needs to be very careful while speaking up. There will be millions of people who follow such players, and controversial comments may go viral and create a lot of controversy. Afridi needs to remember that his opinion may be considered as the national attitude towards certain ethnic groups and religions. And at the same time, Danish needs to remain under the radar right now. What he did can't be forgiven and he should thank the PCB for relatively fair treatment that was given to him after the controversy.

If any new team wants to play cricket at the top level it's better if they start giving importance to the t20 format because the test format is obviously a lot more skill dependent meanwhile t20 is the least skill dependent cricket format.

So it will be easier to get used to the t20 format for the newer players.

You know, ICC is obviously not going to do too much for the newer teams. so, they have to figure it out themselves because the bigger teams who have good power in ICC are also not going to help themselves.

Really shocking to hear the news and i was not expecting to hear this, a really bad year for Australian Cricket players as this is the third prominent player this year. When i heard about the news about the accident i was going through his old highlights which pops up and he was such an incredible fielder and could change matches with his batting and take the match away from the opponent single handedly.

The pairing of Angelo Mathews and Viswa Fernando has been quite effective since Sri Lanka lost several wickets in a row. Fernando's performance is excellent. Although he is basically a bowler, he is batting responsibly. He scored 8 runs off 52 balls. If this continues, Sri Lanka will be able to play the second season completely.

When was the last time a player from an associate nation was picked up by an IPL franchise? If I am not wrong, Sandeep Lamichhane was the only player from Nepal to appear in the IPL and he was perhaps the last associate player to get included in one of the IPL squads. That said, the overall growth of Nepal cricket is more important than the growth of one player. Ideally, the BCCI would have asked one of the IPL franchises to organize a few exhibition matches with the Nepal team. Or at least they could include a couple of younger Nepali players in their squad as reserves. During the PSL, one of the Pakistani sides actually decided to include some Chinese players as reserves, in order to give them exposure to top level cricket.

Sanju Samson knows how to use Trent Boult. The latter is a double edged sword. Boult is very effective, when he bowls up front. But in depth overs, he leaks too many runs and can be wayward. When he was with Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma had no idea on how to use him optimally. Samson has devised a strategy, where he would ask Boult to get 3 overs in the initial power play, and the sole remaining over somewhere in the middle. This has worked well for Rajasthan Royals so far. Overall, I am also quite impressed with the captaincy of Samson so far.
