961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 03, 2022, 03:47:53 PM
Last time we had cricket in commonwealth games was in 1998. Back then, there were a total of 16 participants, including India and two from the WICB (Barbados, and Antigua and Barbuda). Associate nations such as Kenya, Scotland and Ireland also participated. Back then, South Africa won the gold, by defeating Australia in the final match (New Zealand won the bronze medal). This time under pressure from the ICC, they cancelled the men's event and scheduled a 8-team women's event. It makes no sense to have a tournament with just 8 teams.

The real issue is if women cricket is included in commonwealth then why not men cricket is there? ICC clearly has no intentions of taking cricket to larger levels like Olympics. Let more countries join in and play the cricket that's the only way associate counties can improve there crikcet.

I have the same opinion. Bilateral series is only for hardcore fans. People like me prefer either ICC tournaments, or triangular/quadrangular series involving multiple teams, but these type of tournaments are no longer being organized by the cricket boards. In fact, I forget when for the last time I heard about a triangular series. Previously such tournaments used to be hosted by cities such as Sharjah, Singapore and Toronto. But everything came to a halt because of the packed international calendar.

Right now it's all revoling around money rich IPL. BCCI from next year want 2.5 or 3 months for IPL. Sharjah was hub of tri series with Pakistan and India as mandatory participants. There are two worldcups now for ODI and T20I. So under such circumstances there won't be any tri series.

If only they knew what happens to African countries (and their leaders) who attempt to subvert the global-economic order and shun the petro dollar.

Sooner or later all countries have to embrace crypto revolution. Those who are embracing the future currency are facing huge pressure from centralized institute like IMF. El Salvador for instance is not getting loans from IMF due to there crypto friendly policies.

CATA as compared to its competitors like BigchainDB is going on Public blockchain and will be using POC and PoA consensus algorithm. But the most interesting thing which make CATA stand out among all its competitors is the fact that it has the 'Capability of unstructured data processing'.
965  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's economy is 'imploding' on export decline, economists claim on: July 02, 2022, 12:44:14 PM
Be careful when you use the term "invader". There was a recent video posted by France24 YouTube channel. It showed residents of Lysychansk celebrating the Russian victories in Severodonetsk and Zolote and were openly cursing the Ukrainian soldiers. It is clear that at least a part of the Eastern Ukrainians view the UAF as the invaders and the Russians as liberators. Without adequate local support, Russia would have struggled to hold on to such huge swathes of territory. Despite the initial rumors, residents of Kherson and Donbass are not rioting against the Russian rule.

TBH it's very hard to say what really is story because what you are saying won't be aired on western media like BBC, foxnews or BBC but on pro Russian media. Ukarine was part of Russia not so long ago, so it's very obvious that there are pro Russian elements in ukarine specially in its Eastern part.

Which casino are you talking about precisely MonsterV? Because most of crypto casinos I know don't require KYC (including the one you're promoting) unless you're not a rather big winner. Bitcoins and other cryptos allow players to gamble quietly without being bored by issues with their bank or their state authorities prohibiting gambling at offshore casinos and all nice games.

With bitcoin gambling there is no need for kyc for online casino's. Its advantage is that countries where gambling is not allowed can can take part in gambling while the down side is teens under 18 can also take part in such online gambling platforms. It's just a double edge sword IMO.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 02, 2022, 12:32:24 PM
If funding was the issue, then how the tours were being organized a decade ago, when the boards were not as rich as they are today? ICC, as well as the national boards have become more money minded and they are simply not interested in developing and grooming talent. Talented young players now face a lot more difficulty in showcasing their skills, especially in the longer formats (test, 4-day) of cricket. In T20, every now and then someone emerges as the new sensation, so that format is not a concern for me.

Decade ago cricket was just about playing cricket but after T20 format was introduced and t20 league like IPL has completely revolutionised the cricket. Now for 2 months international crikcet is halted for IPL and icc is not more a controlling body rather its in the hands of big 3.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 02, 2022, 12:27:38 PM
jostorres mentioned about the Olympics, so I thought that I could speak on a related topic. Women's cricket is included for this year's Commonwealth Games. The Games will start by the end of this month, and a total of 8 countries will be taking part. The only surprise is that West Indies can't participate, since they are a group of independent countries. Barbados will be representing the WICB. None of the associate nations are taking part and surprisingly this time India has also sent a squad. Among the tier-1 test nations, only Bangladesh is missing.

Australia, Newzealand, England, India, Barbados ( west indies), Srilanka, Pakistan and South Africa will take part in women's cricket event of commonwealth games that are starting from 27 July 2022. Last time these teams meet in women worldcup and Australia won the worldcup without losing a single match.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 02, 2022, 12:22:52 PM
ODI eh? I don't remember when was the last time i watched the ODI, may be last WC idk. I didn't even looked at the tally once and only got to know about that when you mentioned this thingy sometime back. Anyway it's good to see that smaller boards are also getting bilateral series, we need more of that as it's still not enough, specially from PIG-3.

No one has time these days to see lengthy ODI and tests only T20 is widely watched. Teams like Afghanistan, Netherlands and Ireland should get more series specially against strong teams like Australia, Newzealand and Pakistan that will help in lifting there playing standards.

The performance of the Indian batsmen was incredible. It was unthinkable that they would end their innings at 416 after losing top-order five batsmen by just 98 runs. Even in the last wicket partnership, India scored 41 runs. I say it's because of the stupidity of England's bowlers. If they had bowled in a controlled manner, India would have finished their innings by 320.

Only Pant and Jadeja were able to score runs and its because of there centuries India ended up scoring 416 runs. Kohli continuous with his worst international form. Right now play is delayed because of wet out filed. I foresee a draw provided England score 350 runs in there first innings.

Challenges in NFT Storage
The dilemma between Usability and Cost
On-chain storage is flexible in business logic, but with limitations of available space
Decentralized storage scheme(e.g. IPFS) can hold massive data, but with weak interactivity
Source

I just came across these limitations of NFT storage and that's genuine case. IPFS only implementation till date is File coin and there are so many complain about that project. Lets just wait and see how CATA come up with solution.

So CATA will solve issue to limited space as well as scalability. Its not very simple now since to extract data from storage these days need some good design on your Databases end. Storage is not the issue these days but extracting that data in quick duration is the key factor.

Yes that true. Its common assumption that adding more HDDs solve the problem of storage but in current environment storage is not the only solution. We need storage that can be accessed quickly and results can be seen in short span of time.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: June 27, 2022, 08:05:24 PM
People who comment this way usually want bitcoin to drop. Because they will buy bitcoin at lower value. They are trying to lower the value of bitcoin by making people panic and sell their bitcoins. Yes, the value of bitcoin may drop a little more. However, it would be more beneficial to wait instead of panic selling.

I would say just safe some cash for the dip that is knocking doors of bitcoin. Although bitcoin is having strong support at 20k, there are news that bitcoin has massive outflows. Buying at current value of 20k is not very risky. If 20k support is breached bitcoin may fall drastically unless find some strong support.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: June 27, 2022, 08:01:26 PM
Well, look - you understand what's going on! Smiley Yes, yes, yes, that's right - corruption and pocket agreements with terrorists led to the fact that:
- Germany bought oil from a terrorist country, at 70-80 dollars per barrel
- When the EU refused to buy "bloody oil", Russia, as not only technologically backward, but also infrastructurally undeveloped, has no choice but to sell the surplus to those who are not bothered by the "smell of money." True, China, as the elder brother of Russia, ordered the price to be reduced to $40. India, I'm sure, did the same! And what - someone else will buy such volumes of oil from a terrorist?
What the EU pays is the price of betrayal of national interests by a bunch of corrupt officials at the top of power. I repeat once again - for all crimes comes retribution. Sometimes the innocent answer. By the way, friends who live in Germany write that many "questions" have appeared for the government and the ruling party, soon they will get to Schroeder and Merkel, we will find out how they lay at the feet of an international terrorist ...

But this boycott is still having no effect on Russia military invasion they are still in ukarine. According to latest news Russia saying  that they came to Ukarine not to fully conqueror it but to show there deterrence to USA and Europe. USA and Europe are afraid of jumping into this war and are just relying on boycott factor.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 27, 2022, 07:52:38 PM
Every country has some players who aren't really good Cricketers(Not just India), but Indian cricketers are usually far better than cricketers from several countries primarily due to their intense passion and competitiveness.

Also, if Nepal wants to recruit foreign players to build their team, that's an excellent move since they could actually compete with other teams.

Yes India have far better players when compared to counties like Zimbabwe, Afghanistan while average it compared with countries like Australia or Pakistan. India just have money because of there population. Why Nepal should hire foreign players ? It must be made compulsory that every country must have players of native origin.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 27, 2022, 07:49:22 PM
ICC is always going to look for money. they are going to look for places where they will be able to generate better money e instead of thinking about what is best for the game.  and it is true that unless the Pakistan cricket board starts making more money or at least close to the amount of money that BCCI generates,  ICC will probably never hear them.

While all small boards are looking for there individual benefits this will continue to happen. Today its happening with PCB tomorrow it will happen to some other boards also. Small boards must get United and fight for there collective rights otherwise ICC and big 3 will Continue to rule and abuse small boards.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: June 27, 2022, 07:46:08 PM
So, this is the reason why FIFA banned Pakistan from taking part in the Asian Cup 2023.
It would have been really interesting to see Pakistan play in this event. at least we could have seen some action between India and Pakistan.

India is way too good in football then its Pakistani counterpart team. Its good for Pakistan that are not in Asia Cup to avoid a defeat from India. Moving on I think Japan and South Korea have strongest sides in Asia, I don't know whether these two countries will send there 1st tier team to take part in this competition or not.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 27, 2022, 06:06:32 PM
Actually, I feel really sad to admit, but it is true that the matches are not going to be competitive. The Ireland team has no chance against a team like India. And the first match was not competitive at all. It was absolutely one-sided. But it was a little better to see that Ireland can bat. I don’t think that any of the matches are going to be competitive. Only one match left by the way so don’t have much expectation from Ireland in that match as well. Hopefully, they can still play a little better and probably get noticed by the ICC. That should give them a little more funding as you have mentioned.

India is playing international cricket for more then 70 years, ever since they got the status of independent country. Ireland on the other hand joined international cricket decade ago. They still are just an associate country, give them some time and fair amount of international cricket. The performance of Ireland is much better then how Bangladesh is performing.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: June 27, 2022, 06:00:56 PM
It's really sad to see that Pakistan is not able to play this Asian cup 2023 even though we are one of the prominent country in this region. It's not that we were not able to qualify, but actually, FIFA has banned Pakistan from playing football.
The Pakistan Football Federation has been banned by FIFA for more than a year for some unknown reasons and we are not sure when this ban will be lifted. It's a sad moment for me   Sad

FIFA has not banned Pakistan for unknown reason but for known reasons, "Pakistan was suspended by FIFA’s all-powerful Council in April 2021 after the Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee (NC) was thrown out of office by a group of officials led by Ashfaq Hussain Shah, who was elected as president in an election of the PFF held by the Supreme Court in December 2018.
That election was not accepted by FIFA and in September 2019, the global football body appointed the NC for the PFF to hold fresh elections.
"

Its not a big issue and I dont know why Pakistan government not fulfilling demands of FIFA.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 27, 2022, 04:40:12 PM
The main problem is that in the 2007 World Cup ICC tried to play it with a lot of teams. If I am not wrong 16 teams played in that World Cup end it was a disaster for the better teams. A lot of big names were eliminated in that World Cup by smaller teams. And that caused a lot of less revenue to be generated.

That also hurt ICC funding as well. It is like the ICC and the top four teams made it back that the World Cup is going to be played with less teams so that the revenue is going to be higher but if they did continue with having a lot more teams in the World Cup it would have made a lot more revenue than they are making right now.

6 associate teams including Bermuda, Canada and Netherlands were part of that worldcup. I do agree that so many associate teams destroy the level of competition. Only good performing associate teams like Ireland and Afghanistan should be included in such top level tournaments.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 27, 2022, 04:29:28 PM
It was actually good to see Ireland trying to achieve something from that match, they actually batted well. Really well if we consider the level of both teams. But it was a good performance only from 1 batsman as it is expected to happen with low level teams. Generally, only 1-2 players play really well. But that is no matter for a team like India, they won the match comfortably. I am also happy that the matches are not ODI Smiley, it would have been boring. And I also think if Ireland can make some surprises it is going to be on the t20 format.

Edit: oh, I just missed it, yes Stake is spreading all over the world gradually. It really gave me an amazing feeling when I saw the Stake's logo on the stamps.

From Ireland side only Harry Tector was the one who scored runs and helped Ireland in reaching a total of 108 runs in 12 overs. Rest of the players not contributed much if few more players have joined Harry Tector then score would be around 150 and result will be different.
