As we wrap up the second day Test Bangladesh vs Ireland, Bangladesh has taken control over the match. Despite losing four quick wickets early, Harry Tector and Peter Moor managed to hold their wickets. However, in my opinion, it seems like the game will conclude on the third day as Bangladesh's bowlers are motivated enough to pick up the remaining batters. This would result in a defeat for Ireland by an innings.

Ireland's top order performed badly in the second innings. At the end of the second day, Ireland had collected only 27 runs and they had lost four wickets. Bangladeshi spinners Shakib and Taijul managed to pick up two wickets each. My guess is that it will be difficult for Ireland to stay at the crease till the second session tomorrow. If Harry Tector gets out early tomorrow, Ireland is likely to lose all their wickets in the first session. Because Bangladeshi spin bowlers are performing well on this pitch.

So as expected Ireland batting couldn't stand infront of Bangladesh and Bangladesh is going to win this match tomorrow with an Innings and so on.

I don't think it is possible for Ireland to chase 128 runs. The pitch is completely favouring the spinners & I don't think Ireland has batters that are able to play spinners comfortably. They have already lost 4 wickets and it is only a matter of few hours that the whole batting line up would collapse.

In any case this test match would prepare them for the upcoming match against Srilanka. It will also give them a brief exposure to spin bowling as Srilanka does have some of the best spinners.

At the end of the third day, Ireland collected 286 runs with a loss of 8 wickets. The way Ireland has performed is absolutely commendable. And at the same time, I was very surprised by Ireland's performance. They batted brilliantly. The team managed to take a lead of 131 runs. Andy McBrine remains unbeaten with 71 runs. With McBrine batting responsibly, expect Ireland to score another 30-40 runs. And if a target of 170 runs can be provided, it will be a very good target to fight for.

Everyone was expecting to this an easy win for Bangladesh but Ireland today have surprised everyone with their batting their 5th wicket partnership changed the entire course of game.  Lorcan Tucker 108 runs and Andy McBrine 71 runs lifted up their team and now they are leading with 138 runs at end of day 3 . 2 wickets still in hand let's see how Ireland will bat tomorrow.

Some of Ireland's second innings were four wickets away for 34 runs, but some of the batsmen at the end brought this innings to a point where they really deserve credit. Ireland proved false. They came back brilliantly towards the end in the second innings against Bangladesh. 
They still have two wickets in hand and will bat tomorrow. If Ireland can put up another 100 runs on the score board by batting tomorrow then it will be a very difficult task for Bangladesh to win this match. 

However, Bangladesh will want to get Ireland's last two batsmen out soon. Ireland still has a set batsman at the wicket, hopefully he will want to make Ireland's innings bigger.
