You have mentioned a few important problems here, but I would add one more problem, which you may or may not agree with. The transfer of Lewandowski  may have made sense for a season or two, but I think that Barcelona should have been more aware of his age. It can work out and a player plays his best at the age of 36 or 37, but in terms of realistic expectations Barcelona should have known that things can go South with him. Lewa is still good at scoring goals, but he is not as good as he used to be when he still played for Bayern. His scoring average went down significantly and I really don't think he can get there again. More injuries will make it harder for him to get back to his best level. Considering all circumstances I believe he was an expensive transfer. Now they lack a substitute as well and it's problematic because that's a problem that can't quickly be solved.
45 million Euro, with 5 million Euro in potential add-ons, is not that expensive for a player like Robert Lewandowski. Buying him was a risk Barca was willing to take because he was still at his best in Bayern Munich. He is still dangerous upfront scoring goals for Barcelona but like you said age will be his major disadvantage. At this stage, he would be prone to injury which will take more time to heal when compared with younger players. Another issue is that Barca doesn't have the financial resources to buy more quality players that could create opportunities for him to score. Players like Lewi cannot create many opportunities but their experience is their major advantage. He knows where to be at the right time and is always clinical when a goalscoring opportunity comes. Sadly, I think his performance will continue to drop due to his age and Barca will have to seek other alternatives if they want to keep scoring goals.

I agree and I didn't call it a mistake for the reason you mentioned. He was still at his best when he played for Bayern. But considering all circumstances, Barcelona intended to rebuild their squad on many positions in order to get started into new and better times. That's why I thought that Lewandowski didn't really make perfect sense as he also costs them a lot in salaries I suppose. He is making about € 21 million. That's a lot of money that they could have also used to pay a younger talent with a bright future. You also mentioned how clinical he is and in my opinion that is what was lacking compared to his last few years at Bayern Munich. He used to be much more clinical and efficient with his chances. But we will see how this goes for him and also for Barcelona.

I guess this is as close as Ukraine was hoping for to get to qualificiation for the Euro 2024. When they saw that the drawing was holding England and Italy for them, I think they did not expect to have a decisive game at the end of the qualification to actually kick one of those teams out and instead go themselves. I am sure that this game will be a hell of a challenge for Italy as I guess everybody has an idea of the fight that Ukraine will give Italy in that game. For Italy it would be massively disappointing to miss the Euro and I think they will show some nervousness.
England boss, Gareth Southgate have made an outstanding de ions, his strict disciplinary measures ought to be followed. England is at the top and will remain so since there doesn't exist any functionality opposition capable of holding them back. England and Ukraine appear to be viable candidates for a position in Euro Group C competition. England is comfortably in the forefront, with Ukraine in second. Italy was expected to be in that spot, but they blew their chance, and they will pay the price for their poor performance against their opponents.

Southgate has had some hard times as well, that shouldn't be forgotten. But when you now look at the players he has available, I think it wouldn't be wrong to talk about a lucky era.

I think this statistic says it all and it goes back to the World Cup in Qatar and I guess it didn't consider Bellingham at his true value.

England was the most expensive squad at the World Cup with a combined 1.5 billion euros. It is quite striking that they are worth about 12% more than the French squad. Southgate can call himself lucky and now it is time for them to win something in the next few years.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 19, 2023, 02:48:35 PM

I think that fans can expect their goalkeepers to not make many of these absolutely unnecessary mistakes that destroy the whole game. When a player plays seven years for Ajax Amsterdam, then plays for one year for Inter Milan and then gets signed by one of his former coaches, I think that Ten Hag knew what he was doing and he took the risk to get rid of De Gea and if I recall this correctly he also didn't treat De Gea very well. Now they have to work with what they have as really good goalkeepers are quite rare. Onana has already had a few mistakes that were not really unacceptable, but maybe it is the time he needs to adapt although I am not really a big fan of blaming his lack in experience. He has been playin on a top level for quite some time and he isn't 18 years old anymore, but 27.
The arrival of Onana came with alot of expectations cause as Erik Ten Hag succeded in kicking David Degea our of the team alot of fans expected a very better and talented player that's young and would serve the team for a long term but however Erik Ten Hag decided to bring in one of his former goalie he trust and since then he's made alot of errors thats cost the team to lose matches.

Well if Onana want to maintain his role at Manchester United then he should train daily and try his best to save his team some embarrassement this season, and at 27 it would be very bad to be performing very bad for a team like Manchester, well the coach believes in him but I feel sooner  or later if Onana fails to improve he'll be replaced with the 2nd choice keeper from Turkey.

Training hard on a daily basis is what a goalkeeper can do and maybe have some mental training as well. I remember when ter Stegen went to Barcelona, he also had some critical moments when his gameplay wasn't looking all that safe. But over time he improved and had lots of opportunities to prove his goalkeeping quality and he conquered the number one position at Barcelona eventually.

I think it is too early to talk about Onana's mistakes only and how they cost Manchester United points and games. I think there are also more players than just Onana playing far below their maximum potential. I really can't think of a player than Ten Hag made better. Although this is his job.

I'm hoping Robert Lewandoski returns speedily for Barcelona, they have lacked and missed his presence there in attack.
Xavi seems to expect too much from Lewandowski so that when he is injured or absent he doesn't have many substitute players who can replace important positions in the front line, problems like this should have been thought about long ago so that there is no chaos if something undesirable happens, Lewandowski's absence might reduce Barcelona's performance and made their attacking power not too sharp.

I think Xavi might have to be able to manage this problem so that it doesn't harm Barcelona too much, of course if they lose points it will make their chances of winning the title in Laliga even more difficult, especially in the UCL, but they seem to also confirm that Lewandowski will recover in time to face El Clasico too later. , I hope your wishes come true

The problem is Barcelona actually never had good players to replace the ones that are playing in the main squad. And Barcelona had to do a lot to bring in Robert Lewandowski in the first place. And being borderline broke, they cannot afford to bring in a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. They already are finding it hard to give the salary to the players that they already have.

If they bring in new players they will have a lot more trouble. That’s why they have not been able to bring in replacements for players. That is okay, especially considering the financial situation. But the problem they are going through right now was bound to happen sooner or later.

You have mentioned a few important problems here, but I would add one more problem, which you may or may not agree with. The transfer of Lewandowski  may have made sense for a season or two, but I think that Barcelona should have been more aware of his age. His scoring average went down significantly and I really don't think he can get there again. More injuries will make it harder for him to get back to his best level. Considering all circumstances I believe he was an expensive transfer. Now they lack a substitute as well and it's problematic because that's a problem that can't quickly be solved.

It was really nice to see a different team in the finale previously. Maybe Inter lost to Manchester City there but they stayed strong most of the time. I would like to see a different in the finale once again this season. Arsenal would be a nice candidate this time. Arteta has been managing the team really good and this effort can carry them to bigger successes.

I just want to watch them against bigger teams than the ones in their group as well. They are really good at dealing with top teams in the Premier League. I wonder whether they can do this in the Champions League too.
Maybe Arsenal against Bayern Munich wouldn't be a bad combination at all as they are both good teams in their various domestic leagues and are aswell doing great in the champions league, their performance so far at the champions league has be really impressive and deserving of every points they have got especially Bayern Munich who is yet to loose a match in the UCL.

Arsenal has lost one match so far in the UCl but they still stand at the second position in the their group in the UCL and they have a very good chance to qualify for the next round of the game by virtue of their performance and their points so far, apart from Sevilla other team in their group may not be really able to give them tough time enough not to get a win as they all don't have matching team depth with the gunners.

Arsenal isn't doing great at all in the Champions League, they have gotten themselves into deep trouble due to the loss against 14th rank of Ligue 1. Everyone at Arsenal knows that the next game against Sevilla is one of the most important games this Champions League season because if they lose this one, this is escalating from average to worse for them. The group B looks like easy business for Arsenal London, but it is not None of the teams there are easy prey for them. Winning against PSV 4-0 at home does not mean they will also beat PSV easily when they play in Eindhoven.

Once again there is news about Victor Osimhen leaving his team and this time this is going to be serious and Napoli is about to lose the superstar player who helped the team a lot.
Victor Osimhen had offered during the summer but he preferred to stay and now because of what happened between him and Napoli, he wants to leave the team.
Chelsea is the team that wants to hire Victor Osimhen and they can even hire this palyer in January.

https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/chelsea-victor-osimhen-january-transfer-27928899

But Osimhen is not in the position to decide whether to leave or to stay. He has a valid contract with the club and these small shenanigans would never be enough to unilaterally terminate the employment relationship or to go on a strike or sabotage the relationship he has with Napoli. I wonder how Napoli will continue now and what the price would be that they want for him if he really were to leave the club in January. I doubt that they would go much lower than $150 million, but would Chelsea be willing to pay that much? Napoli would also weaken themselves too early if they let him go. There is still a lot on the line for Napoli this season.

If her motivations are reasonable, then yes. I could see quiting some habits and perhaps a hobby if she can convince me those are leading the relationship towards a bad end.
Though, knowing myself, I know I would feel inflexible at first and try to keep doing what I like, though, in the end the most important thing for anyone is family and a wife is part of it.

If we have children and she asked me to do so for the sake of them and not to endanger their economical well being, I would then accept but if she can also promise to show some sacrife as well and save money herself from other activies and whims she spends money on, like shopping unnecessary stuff or eating in fancy places more than she is supposed to.

I would even encourage her to put that cash in a long term saving account for our holidays or something like it. I would not marry someone who would be willing to ask me for sacrifices when she would not do the same.

Great point of view and it could also express her deep desire and appreciation for the relationship if she is brave enough to raise her voice. I think many relationships are not necessarily very balanced and a wife would feel like she better not say anything. As you said, in the first moment it may feel awkward, but that's the case for both. But in hindsight I think as a man the right course of action would be carefully consider what's actually happening and why she said what she said instead of instantly feeling the need to push her back and stick to the habit.

As for sacrifices have to come from both sides, well I guess it depends on what we are talking about. Gambling can be a dangerous thing and a wife might feel anxiety that even if it seems to be under control today, it could get out of control tomorrow. It's not like she asks a partner to stop playing soccer for fun or not go swimming anymore. These hobbies don't involve the potential for addictions and tough long-term consequences.

Right, playing football or swimming does not involve future risk as gambling could develop into. But you have also keep in mind that in the eyes of the husband, it is a hobby and a source of entertament, one as a gambler do not see the risk of it beyond the money one is putting at stake right at the moment.
If you asked someone to stop gambling, in the mind it may not be very different from asking someone else to stop riding bicycle on the weekends or swimming with their friends at the local pool, all of them would initially feel attacked and those petitions would be seen as an injustice.

If a spouse can understand that before aproaching their husband and put herself on his shoes, then that would be a wonderful woman, instead of one who just wishes to impose her rules on every member of her family.

But you are really describing someone I wouldn't even call a gambler like someone who spends significant amounts of time and money on the activity. If someone likes to play chess for money with friends on the weekends, it is a form of gambling, but one I wouldn't consider dangerous or potentially dangerous most of the time. If it truly is just a form of entertainment for a person like going into the cinema where there is no financial risk involved, then yes, you are right about that. But I think it's rather a rare case and a wife wouldn't really feel the need to say something. But even if the husband isn't spending a lot of money on gambling, what is a wife supposed to think when instead of sharing time with his wife he is instead sitting 8 hours per day on the weekend in front of his screen rolling the dice?  Huh

Tata Martino says Luis Suárez is in Inter Miami's plans for next season:
Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez are finally back together! Inter Miami boss Tata Martino has admitted that the former Barcelona star already has plans for the 2024 MLS season.
The Uruguayan striker was linked with a move to Florida in the summer transfer window, but Gremio refused to let him go despite his desire to move.
Suarez has confirmed he will leave Gremio at the end of the Brazilian season earlier than expected due to his contract running for another year, with MLS the most likely destination after Martino confirmed Miami was considering him.
Now he is 36 years old, and his striking position is still good—not like prime, but good—and Luis Suárez has scored nine goals in 23 matches and provided seven assists. By looking at his status in the Brazilian league, he still does very well with his goal-scoring record as well as providing assistance. So I think it will be a good decision for Suarez to reunite with Messi, as well as for Inter Miami to sign him.
What do you think, guys? Give us your thoughts.
Source

I haven't been following him recently and don't know much about his fitness status, but if he isn't suffering from issues all the time, I guess he could still be a great player for Inter Miami and especially in combination with Messi who understands Suarez' movements and striking qualities like hardly anybody else. I have always liked how they cooperated in their attacks when they still played for Barcelona. They made each other better because both wanted the most success for the team and not themselves. I still think that this was something people were concerned about because both Messi and Suarez have been quite egoistic sometimes, but there was no egoism when they were united at Barcelona. I think it would be great for maybe two years or so.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 18, 2023, 11:13:09 PM
How will you feel if someone you know or just a friend of a friend walk up to you and ask you to finance them in gambling in exchange for a portion of their winnings? Does this even make any sense?

What i will first ask the person is that what if he looses, how will a make my recovery back from him, gambling is not what we do with hundred percent assurance that we must win, i can only accept his offer when he also have a physical asset to use as stake should in case he didn't win, but despite this, i still don't think it's a good practice to encourage someone in doing this at all, gambling is not done by force, we gamble when we think we needed fun and have money for doing that.
Not a good way to support, gambling is not a venue in tolerating a friend, better to invest if it's a business that a friend is asking for some money
to put up or start up capital to establish a good business.

But if it's a gambling, I mean if it's something like casino base or sports betting better not to encourage, especially if it's a friend who's asking to
lend money to invest in.

No assurance that he can repay or he can give that portion of winning to you, no one can have that 100% sure win always has that big risk behind.
It's true what @carlisle1 said because after all, gambling is not a place to make money, so we can't just give loans to our friends to gamble. It would be better to lend him money to build a business, and we could partner with him where we are the investors and he runs the business. That will have more opportunities to make money, and we have helped him to want to work where later.

There is no guarantee that he can win. That is what we must always remember so that we do not give out loan money. And if he loses all the money, how will he return the loan money when he didn't give us any guarantee. That will cause problems in our friendship.

I think that what is true is that some gamblers sell stakes when they participate in tournaments like in poker. I have seen that before and I believe there are also forums where well known players offer to others to pay some of their entry fee in return for potential winnings. But I don't understand why anyone would have a good reason to pay someone to gamble for them. If it is real gambling where it is all about luck it's like wasting money. And how would that be done? Will the investor be updated on what the paid gambler played? If anyone said that this is a business model, I definitely haven't heard about it ever. It doesn't make sense to ask someone to play roulette for them. I do get the point in poker, but even there it's something I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

In fact, when Al Hilal bought Neymar they were sure that Neymar was a player who could get injured time after time and there was a high chance for him to even lose the whole season just like what happened in the last season when Neymar was playing for PSg and many fans were unhappy because of that.
That's why I think Al Hilal was even ready for this when they bought Neymar.

They have been well aware of his health condition and the fact that he is extremely prone to injuries, but I am sometimes in disbelief when I see how often he is injured. He lacks physical stability not only in terms of the time he is dealing with injuries, but also in terms of his physical resilience on the pitch. Other players get attacked hard as well but he is like a dancing queen in a boxing ring. I don't know but I doubt that any club from Europe would have been willing to take the risk and pay a fortune for him knowing that most likely he is going to miss 70% of the games. This was probably the best contract he ever signed. Getting paid for lying in bed and recovering and nobody complains about it.

The way they got eliminated from the Champions League last season was unlucky as they have by far been the superior team, which was particularly obvious in the second leg against AC Milan. So despite being ahead so far in the league it was still not enough for them. But they also benefitted from the other teams to have weak results way too often and Napoli had this incredible run in the first half of the season. They now had to take into account that it doesn't go like that every season, but they are still highly competitive and I also think they are still able to have a strong streak without being defeated for a while. But the clubs from Milan are both well set up to fight for the title.
UEFA Champions League competition is definitely not the good time for the Naples because they keep performing poorly in such an elite competitions. Napoli is competitive team but they've declined in performance this season after Luciano Spalleti resigned and the Naples appointing a new coach to filled in his space, Rudi Garcia is yet to served the important purpose why he's here in the first place. However there's always room for improvement as stated out for these elite teams, having a duration to perform poorly this season and also a good time to have one of the best outstanding results in Seria A league games.

In other words, if Spalletti comes back tomorrow you think they will win the next 15 games in a row? Spalletti was quite surprised himself by the performance in the league last season, I am quite sure about that. I am also sure that he knew it would be impossible to repeat such a season in the Serie A. In the Champions League they have lost a game against Real Madrid that they could have won as well. I would not say this is to be considered a poor performance in elite competitions when in reality they were on the brink of beating Real Madrid and we are only two games into the group stage. If they qualify for the next round in the Champions League, let's first see which team their opponent will be. I don't think that Napoli will in the title, but I still think that they can beat any team in a home and away game if they are not without luck like last season.

Current standings Group C of UEFA EURO Qualifier, seems Italy on not comfortable position after defeating by England last night make their chance for qualifying to EURO 2024 most difficult. Left three points from Ukraine on second standings position but Italy have more one match left  still not close chance to lead EURO 2024 if can winning all two matches left. England have been success qualify to EURO 2024 after dramatic winning from Italy and become their revenge after losing on EURO 2020 final stage.

Ukraine has last opportunity to qualify EURO 2024 if last match against Italy can get win, its become final match for both teams if want qualify to EURO 2024 in  Germany.

Italy does not have to win two games, they only need to equal the number of points with Ukraine to be ahead - according to the regulations, if the teams have an equal number of points, then the team with the best result in head-to-head matches has priority. Therefore, their task looks quite achievable, but Ukraine has only one option - they need to defeat Italy away.
The battle for who joins England to qualify from the Group C of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers further became more interesting and competitive after Italy were convincingly beaten at the Wembley stadium yesterday by their England counterparts.
Italy of course still have a very great chance of qualifying from the group but that can only happen when if they can beat Ukraine when the two countries meet for their qualifying game on 20th November. Any result apart from win in that game for Italy is likely to sink their hopes of qualifying through the group and will now have to wait for playoffs.

I guess this is as close as Ukraine was hoping for to get to qualificiation for the Euro 2024. When they saw that the drawing was holding England and Italy for them, I think they did not expect to have a decisive game at the end of the qualification to actually kick one of those teams out and instead go themselves. England defeated Italy 3-1. Hary Kane scored 2 goals and Marcus Rashford scored 1 goal. Harry Kane to give his 61th goal in his 87th appearance with National Team. I wasn't surprised to see England win because the lineup of England it so sensationally good, in the offense were star players like Bellingham, Rashford, Foden and Kane.

Ukraine will take 2nd place in the group while Italy had to drop to 3rd position. Things are not going well for Italy.

Having these four names you mentioned on the team as offensive players is quite impressive. They have all very complementary qualities and Bellingham fits perfectly into this formation because he does the same for England as he is doing for Real Madrid. I believe his biggest strength is that he knows how to play his position defensively despite being positioned in the offensive part of the formation. Kane is a great striker with enormous efficiency and Foden and Rashford can speed up the game incredibly fast and with a high technical level. I am not sure what more you could ask for. They are one of the favorites in my opinion.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 18, 2023, 04:31:37 PM

if you gamble with full consideration and good strategy then believe me, you don't need to stop gambling even though you might lose several times, so every time you gamble, you have to prepare enough capital and also control yourself not to play exceeds the capital you have prepared. apart from that, if you are tired or lost in your gambling today then you better take a break and develop a better strategy, never think of gambling as your side income but make gambling your entertainment.

Are you suggesting that all it needs is proper preparation and then gambling is a winning activity? Someone here said it before that the only players in the industry winning long term are those running the casinos. What would someone even prepare for? All those rules like not playing excessively and so on and so forth doesn't guarantee long term winnings. The only reasonable approach to gambling would be to ensure that it remains an activity for pleasure and only that.

Honestly I can't think of it, I think this is the wrong mindset. The fact is that no matter how prepared you are or how well you prepare everything when you want to gamble such as strategy and the amount of budget you will bring, in my opinion it has no full effect and will not even affect at all, how can they believe in something that is only based on luck? I'm also a gambler and I certainly don't believe that you or anyone else can make money in gambling, and that's the fact, everything is not as easy as you think, especially in finding victory. If you continue to try it with the wrong mindset like that then I'm sure it's not victory that you will get but defeat that will continue to dominate, everyone already knows it.

Well I agree with you, the fact is that the real winnings are only for them or the casino itself, no matter how long they will remain for and the winnings given to gamblers may only be a small portion of the profits or income of the casino, but it makes the gamblers become very crazy in gambling. Basically, any self-control or limits they set up are just to minimize losses and obviously have nothing to do with the chances of winning. There is no guarantee at all to win unless you are really lucky.

Actually, this could even be a dangerous mindset when you think about it.

When people really think that it all has to do with preparation and that a lack or deficiency in preparation led to losses, this could become worse and worse over time, making people spend more time on "preparation" when there isn't really anything to prepare for.

I think that people refraining from running the numbers is what the issue of having a wrong idea for success probabilities begins with. They should just use a calculator and see how likely it is to be at a loss if someone gambles for a longer period of time with a lot of sessions. I guess the best gamble one can go for is the weekly lottery with moderate amounts. That way someone can have the dream of winning big without losing control over anything in the short run.

Mbappe has been one of the deadliest strikers for the last two World Cups and he won one of them and finished the one in Qatar as vice world champion. I think calling that nothing serious is wrong.

I absolutely agree that he wasting golden years of his career with PSG because Ligue 1 is not where a player of his level is supposed to play. It was different for Messi because he had his success already and some circumstances led him to play for PSG. But it is not like Mbappe should be blamed for not winning the Champions League. He has proven that he can deliver on the highest levels with 12 goals in two World Cups. I can only hope that he will soon make a decision to leave PSG and finally play in a better league, but here is really only the Premier League that would get the best out of him and maybe La Liga if Barcelona gets back to strength and perhaps Atletico Madrid as well.

Barcelona, Atletico, but not Real?! Did I miss something or did you just forget about Real Madrid, with which negotiations have been going on for a long time and most people assume that Mbappe will move to Real Madrid next summer?
A move to the Premier League, I think, is extremely unlikely since he won’t go to City because of Haaland, and there is no point in moving to another club where the likelihood of a Premier League title will be low.

If you give my post a second read, you will see that I did not mention Real Madrid as a team that needs to get back to full strength because I think at the moment they are already the best team in La Liga Wink What I meant to say is that if Barcelona and Atletico finally get back to good old times, La Liga will also have an intense title fight.

A move to the Premier League is something I would enjoy the most because no matter what character he is, watching him play is usually impressive. He really has not many games without any actions on his part that are world class. I agree that Manchester City is unlikely although I think it could still work with him playing on the left wing and Haaland in the center. But maybe Salah will be bought from an SPL club and Liverpool uses the money to buy Mbappe? Smiley That would also be amazing, but I admit this is only a little bit of dreaming. Most likely, if anything he will go to Real Madrid.

I think Real Sociedad's chances of winning this match are very big, especially since they are playing at home, and currently Real Sociedad's performance is very good and now Real Sociedad is in 6th place in the La Liga standings.
And Mallorca is a team that is clearly below Real Sociedad in terms of quality, so far Mallorca have only been able to win once in the 9 matches they have played.
So I have no doubts about Real Sociedad's victory in this match and I even predict that this will be an easy win for Real Sociedad.
It might be quite easy to win for Real Sociedad, but it might only be a very small score because of the results of the meetings between these two teams in several matches that have passed in previous seasons. Real Sociedad very rarely wins by a lot of scores against Mallorca and could even possibly draw if Mallorca is able to create a better game at home to Real Sociedad. However, I still have more confidence in Real Sociedad's performance in that match because Real Sociedad will not let Mallorca win or draw at the Reale Arena.
Sociedad will be winning this game easily. I think that we shall also go back to the reality if sociedad was placed at the top 10 while mallorca is still struggling with its performance out from top 10. It's a strong proof if sociedad has better quality compared with mallorca.
There's no need to feel doubt about the result from this game. Sociedad's odds was good. It will be non senseif someone was picking mallorca instead of sociedad but i don't mind it if it was mallorca fans.
Sociedad was also aiming to win against mallorca easily caused by three points will be enough to boosting the performance from the club. Sociedad's players will be even more confidence about that.
Im now going for sociedad. I hope my choice will be right.

It should be a win for Real Sociedad, but Mallorca hasn't lost their last three games. It was only draws, but it was against three top 10 teams with Barcelona being among them. Now since this is a home game for Real Sociedad, I think there is only a small chance that this game will end with points for Mallorca. I just don't think that anything is certain as we have seen crazy results all too often and the best proof for that is the draw against Barcelona. Nobody thought that Mallorca would be able to win a point against them, but they still did. Even Atletico Madrid lost their game against Valencia 3-0 after winning the game with 7 goals before that. Results can always easily be predicted based on the table alone.
