One thing we need to remember is that USA is the place for THE entertainment, and that is going to be the most important thing. If they are making huge shows for something like that, I am sure that we are going to end up with something even much bigger on the long run and something like world cup. That will definitely be something that they are going to spend a lot of money on. Maybe they won't spend as much as Qatar on infrastructure, but the entertainment aspect of it will be insane.

I still bet that we are going to end up with the most fun any world cup has been for the longest time. They have all the famous people, if they can make it work with some known names, I bet that it is going to be a special world cup for sure.

They don't have to spend as much as Qatar as they are used to hosting large events and have the infrastructure already in place. Also, they spread this out over the whole USA and then Mexico. Qatar is such a small country that they were literally flooded with people for which they had to build additional infrastructure. But then I think it is a bad waste to build these things for one time usage. The problem is not so much the dismantling itself because they are willing to ship the stuff to countries in need of infrastructure. The bad thing is that people lost their lives building something that disappears in that country anyway. The numbers are still uncertain and nobody is really talking about Qatar anymore, but I am sure when the USA have to build a stadium, it is not like thousands would die along the way. But it is good to know that the USA involved as I think they do have some least respect for the workers. That doesn't mean things can't go wrong, but it won't be a slaughtering like in Qatar.

you are right, Neymar missed the penalty Neymar performed well in the whole match. And I'd say if Mitrovic and Neymar don't suffer injuries, Al Hilal's performance will continue, and the team will continue to fight for the title until the end of the season. However, if Neymar or Mitrovic suffer an injury, Al Hilal's performance is likely to be erratic.

Ittiha team will lose points against Al Feiha this result was unexpected. Ittihad could not score any goals in this match. The match was a goalless draw. And because of the loss of points in this match, the second team in the table is now ittihad.

I am looking forward to the match between AL Ahli and Ettifaq. Al Ahli, however, are sixth in the table. Still they have a strong squad. Al Ahli have a number of talented players in their squad like RIyad Mahrez, Firmino and Kessie.

I am not the biggest fan of the league, but the truth is that the quality has increased quite a bit and that is why Al-Nasr isn't leading the table by 8 points already. The table is still very close and I think it does the SPL some good. Otherwise it would be this boring situation like in some other leagues when it is always the same team that wins the title. It shows that the Saudi officials do have a plan here and instead of building one team with half the team being former superstars, they probably communicate with each other and spread them out to avoid something like in Ligue 1. There is nothing more boring than a team leading by 15 points at halftime of the season.

Impressive what is happening between the Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester City. But this isn't the first time that City struggles temporarily during a game and this time they can't get it done as it seems. Everything is the same, a dozen of chances, so many shots, much more ball possession and yet they struggle. I think Kevin De Bruyne is missing a lot. His numbers with highly precisely assists is a quality that almost no other player has. It would also help Haaland a lot. Sometimes it is just one step makes the difference and De Bruyne knows exactly where to put the ball.

This has been discussed way too much and I believe there is actually no point in doing that at all because someone would barely change their mind by solely reading such posts or anything and they will still have the same mindset that they've always had. You might school someone regarding gambling and tell them what they should and what they shouldn't do when gambling but at the end of the day, they will just do what they think is the right thing for them.

People don't go by facts or experiences of others but they want to experience it themselves in order to learn, and sometimes, they don't learn even from their own experiences because you may see a gambler lose some money one day and you will see them gambling again the next day without any regrets.

If there are people who are not learning from their own mistakes then they deserve the consequences of their mistakes.
Every gambler is wise enough to identify their mistakes. If they don't stop repeating it then it's obvious that they will end up in a crisis.
That is what has been happening till date. Some learn from their mistakes in gambling and fix it while others end up in debt.

Stopping to repeat mistakes in gambling is easier said than done. I guess everyone knows some of these spectacular poker hands at the WSOP. That's a great example because most of the time the winner was someone who made a good number of mistakes. There are some of the wildest hands only because someone made a mistake almost knowingly and everybody else knew it as well. Jamie Gold is one of those guys who played really bad in so many situations and yet being the winner was the result. In the end these games all involve luck and you can play perfect poker, make all the moves that everybody thinks are right and yet the chance to win a huge tournament are so damn little. Imagine you play 10 hands in the showdown with a 90:10 chance. If you were to go for these 10 showdowns, the chances are quite high to lose it.

I think in a casino it is really much less about strategy, but I don't know too much about it. Though when I think about roulette, the best chance I can get is a little below 50% of winning per round. There are lots of videos on youtube with special tactics and how they get debunked because it's just not true unless some illegal stuff is applied. If anyone here knows a strategy with guaranteed profit, feel free to share it Tongue
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: September 30, 2023, 03:35:37 PM
Gambling is actually only for the rich, but it's not limited to people who can afford to lose their money. But the reality there are more poor people become a gambler, which is definitely wrong since they're looking to earn money. It's all about mindset, poor people don't want to learn and work harder.

I was shock to see some of my guys in the which I knew they where doing well, now looking wreshed an tattered.
Well this is not good and you must stay away against them because there's a chance you can be targeted by them for asking loan or even steal your valuable thing.

Tell that the lottery winners who became multi millionaires with a few bucks Tongue

But in a sense I understand what you mean although even the rich guys can exaggerate and lose more than they can afford. I think there is really no basic rule in terms of how rich someone should be. If someone buys the weekly lottery ticket and spends 100 bucks per months and is doing ok, I think it's fine. Are there better investments than a lottery ticket? Of course but if someone likes the feeling of the potential for instant life-changing money, then go for it. As soon as the social life takes a serious hit, it is wrong no matter how much was spent. If someone had the chance to have lunch with a friend instead of the lottery ticket, well then even the lottery ticket is a very bad investment.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 23, 2023, 05:43:15 PM
Juventus is losing 1st half by 2-1.

Gonna be hard to recover this game.

20 minutes to go and still 2-1 for Sassuolo,i dont see a way that Juventus can turn this around in such small time. I cannot believe i went with them winning the match and not betting on goals. They are really bad for betting and i think im gonna skip every Juventus match in the future because with them its really unpredictable

Considering that Juventus Turin has a lot to make up for this season, this result would be really bad actually. I thought that they would be on top of things and play a very solid season without many issues, focusing on coming back to the Champions League and dominating the Italian competitions. That's what they need to recover from the dent they have taken in their reputation now.

Just scored the equalizer. Maybe they are making use of the momentum.

Onana is really a great goalkeeper, good to have him in the team. Onana is very good at how to be a goalkeeper. Will do great things for the team this season.
However, he also did something a little ridiculous against Bayern Munich two days ago, because Onana advanced too far from the goal so he was unable to catch the ball that came from the top. This means that Onana cannot miss more times in guarding Manchester United's goal so that he has greater achievements than De Gea, who previously also kept goal at Manchester United. I also hope that this season Onana will be able to make a good contribution to Manchester United because he must know that Manchester United is currently not at its best.

For a new goalkeeper like Onana I think there is some tolerance in regards to mistakes, but he shouldn't exaggerate it although my word implies there is intention on his behalf, which is of course not the case. But showing some nerves is human I guess, but he should find his best form as quickly as possible because Manchester United as a whole is struggling already in all competitions. This could be a problem for Onana if his mistakes lead to further problems in the Premier League and in the Champions League of course.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 23, 2023, 02:27:40 PM
The European leagues are still above average? Europe is the measure of all things soccer. The European leagues combined are like the NBA in basketball. The Saudi Professional League would need at least a decade or two to get significantly closer to the soccer ecosystem that Europe represents. There is really nothing to be concerned about and when Al-Nassr were to play in the Premier League, I am pretty sure it wouldn't go very well for them. This is what counts. They may be able to cause some trouble in the Club World Cup, but what do you think how they would be doing against City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, (Chelsea Cheesy), Brighton, etc.?

For Brighton I would not know as they are the shame of English football for this week when they lost 2-3 at home against AEK Athens,I doubt AEK Athens is much stronger than Al-Nassr as Cristiano Ronaldo can make a huge difference even if the other players are not top players against a team like AEK Athens.

Of course they would have much difficulty against teams like Liverpool,Arsenal and Manchester United but most likely they can beat Brighton and also Aston Villa both teams which were shameful to say as they both lost their games in midweek against much weaker teams from weaker leagues.

I wouldn't say you are wrong here about Brighton or AEK Athen = Al-Nassr. But let me add something here. If we talk about teams from the Saudi Professional League to play in the Premier League hypothetically, I would not say that Al-Nassr can't win a single game. They would probably win a few games. But would Al-Nassr be able to make it into the top 10 of the Premier League table after 38 games? No, I would definitely bet against that. These single game scenarios are never helpful. Small teams can win against big teams thanks to variance. But after 38 games I am sure that Al-Nassr has no chance to achieve significant results in the EPL.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 23, 2023, 01:47:43 PM
Not really bad, I'd say Burnley performance is pretty much similar like Manchester United because both of the teams can still give a fight despite they lose the match. Since this match happen in Burnley's home and the odds is high, I will bet Burnley to win.

I hope Manchester United will continue their lose streaks lol.

United are bad and I'd like them to lose (although I'm a United fan and I want the club to get rid of Ten Hag) but today the likelihood of that is extremely low - Burnley are just terrible. They have just one point and although they average one goal per game, they concede as many as three goals. Perhaps a defeat to Burnley would have led to Ten Hag being sacked today, but I still think the game will end with a score of 1-3 or 0-2 in United's favor.

Finally someone who clearly says that ten Hag is not doing the club any good. I am not so much referring to his quality as a manger in terms of training methods. But I think he lacks communication skills and also isn't very good at building a cohesive team, a team that is willing to work and suffer for each other. It didn't take ten Hag very long before he was seeking confrontation with Ronaldo publicly. He isn't fostering joint effort and team cohesion, he is going to prefer dispute over diplomacy all the time. While I understand that sometimes a manager has to demonstrate strength, in my opinion ten Hag is taking it too far.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 23, 2023, 01:37:31 PM

Yes, they deserve it and are in first place in the Ligue 1 standings for a while, but they can't dance all night like you said because their points gap with AS Monaco is only 1 point, if they can't be consistent in the future, AS Monaco will easily overtake them and take back the first place. Next week they will meet Brest and play at home. If they can get 3 points from the away match against Nice, they should be able to win easily against Brest even though currently Brest has a good performance in the league.
Tomorrow PSG will play with Marseille and if they win, they will also be able to score 11 points and equal Monaco on points. Despite the fact that they played a difficult match against Dortmund in the middle of the week, they were able to win and this should add to their confidence.

Marseille is not looking very good, there are many draws, and by the way, they also had to play a difficult away match with Ajax, so the teams will be on equal terms. I think that PSG has every chance to return to the top of the standings, the team is not in the best condition yet, but gradually they are starting to play better, Enrique is a good coach.

I would usually say that the win in the Champions League should give a boost in confidence, but Borussia Dortmund wasn't really that tough of an opponent. That's not to say that the game doesn't help PSG to further improve and take this success with them for the games in Ligue 1, but PSG has to overcome their relaxed way of playing in Ligue 1. They can beat the tough opponents, but there problem is to play less than 100% serious in Ligue 1.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 23, 2023, 01:13:32 PM

Yeah Ronaldo can be relied on in important matches like this, quick goal in the 4th minute increase the confidence of Al-Nassr players and managed to secure the first half with a score of 3-1 Talisca is also an important figure in the Al-Nassr team, did you see how he scored the 3rd goal for Al-Nassr? it was a very classy goal with high accuracy  Cheesy What is clear is that what we see today does not disappoint classy game from both teams, it's not an exaggeration if we compare it with European teams.

Yes, of course Ronaldo can make a huge impact with his presence. Even though it is currently ranked 5th but I think it is very competitive in the top 10 with only a 1-2 point difference between the teams above and below it. The match against Al Ahli was one of the best SPL matches I watched this season. And to be honest, I only started adding the SPL to my watch list when Ronaldo joined Al Nassr. A match with 7 goals and featuring world class play. I think Ronaldo's words that the Saudi Pro League will be on par with the top European leagues will soon come true.

When compared with 4-5 Saudi Pro League clubs maybe yes that is true but overall of course not, the European League is still above average with tougher competition. Clubs from the Saudi Pro League can prove that they are equal to the European League if they succeed in winning international competitions such as the Asian Champions League or the Club World Cup. This competition is still ongoing and so far several Saudi clubs are still dominating, one of which is Al-Nassr which is predicted to pass the next stage.

952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 23, 2023, 01:00:51 PM
Considering how AC Milan dominated in the match with Dortmund and created many opportunities in middle of the week, Verona looks like not to be an opponent that can constrain attacking power of AC Milan. They will even face with bigger pressure from AC Milan as the host actually need three points after some bad matches in Serie A. AC Milan players hopefully learned something from their inaccurate shots in Champions League match with Dortmund.

Playing a Champions League match and a league match are different things. When they play the Champions League, they prepare for that match with full concentration, they care more about that match. Because only 6 matches are played there in the group stage and there is no compensation for the mistakes made. In league matches, there is compensation for mistakes, they play 38 matches throughout the season. Lost points can be compensated.
Since they put in a lot of effort in the CL match, they may come into this match tired, rotate too much, and not be able to focus much. Although Hellas Verona is not a team of Milan's quality, they will play to get points knowing these. Milan needs to pay attention and care about the match. Otherwise, it's difficult for them to win.
I disagree with what you said about the 38 matches with compensation. A team can't rule out competition even with a huge number of matches each season. If they think that, then they will never progress.
It may be true at first glance, but if we look further, it is a mistake that should be avoided. It's also worth remembering that they're in the Champions League because of the competition in the domestic league, in this case Serie A. If they think they are compensating for the mistakes they made in the domestic league with a large number of matches it is a mistake they are making,

I agree 100% with what you said. This idea that players can accelerate and decelerate their performance from game to game with a snap of the fingers is bullshit. The best teams are the teams that play with 110% concentration every single game. There is a difference between concentration and intensity. They might reduce intensity when it is possible in order to give their body less of a burden during a game that they are controlling by a large margin, but playing some games on high concentration and some on lower concentration isn't a thing that works. Manchester City is on full steam 99% of the games. AC Milan is a top team that wants to win every single game no matter what the competition is. It is true that there are more prestigious games in the Champions League in terms of the quality of the teams participating, but the players want to win the Serie A with no less desire.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: September 23, 2023, 12:48:53 PM
I also hope for the best from Liverpool this season for the European League. So qualifying from the group stage is something they have to do first. And I think Liverpool will continue to maintain their position at the top of the group and qualify for the next stage.

But for Brighton, it seems that this club cannot follow the success of fellow Premier League clubs, namely Liverpool & West Ham. Because I was surprised after seeing Brighton suffer defeat by AEK Athens. Brighton seemed to be playing less than optimally. Their game seems different from what they usually display in the Premier League.
The most realistic hope and opportunity for Jurgen Klop squad is to set a target to win the Europa League trophy this season. As the favorite club in Europe second caste competition, I also feel Liverpool will be able to do it this time. If you look at their consistent performance in the EPL and are undefeated, it is very easy for Salah and his friends to qualify from the group E phase as group winners.

Being related to Brighton, I felt a little strange about their performance, even though they had just won phenomenally over Man United. I think Roberto De Zerbi squad does not yet have the mentality to play at European level. However, Brighton still has the opportunity to qualify from the group phase, with the condition that they must be able to win the next match.

In these competitions seemingly weaker teams often surpass themselves and give the alleged favorites a hard time. I expect nothing but the same this time. Everyone at this point believes that Liverpool is the favorite above all others and last season everyone thought that Arsenal is the favorite above all others maybe with Juventus Turin and Manchester United. Not to forget that Barcelona was also in the competition. None of those teams made it to the final. Barcelona got kicked out in the play-offs, Arsenal got kicked out in the round of 16, Manchester United got kicked out in the quarterfinals and Juventus Turin got defeated in the semifinals. I think that is enough information as to who the favorite is this year.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 23, 2023, 08:24:19 AM
There is no full luck factor for Real Madrid, even though you might think Real Madrid have been lucky so far. Because of course, luck also will not come or will not happen if Real Madrid does not make great efforts to be able to get good results or wins in the match. So yes, even though you may think Real Madrid is lucky but still, the efforts made by Real Madrid are very good so far to be able to get a victory in each match. Because after all, the late goal also proved that Real Madrid has a winning mentality and thus, Real Madrid can continue to make great efforts also until the last minute of the match.

I only referred to the results, I am not saying that they are playing bad or anything like that. Real Madrid is playing well and their wins are also not undeserved. In fact they are working hard for their results. But when you win several games in a row in extra time of the games, it could also end differently for them. In that respect they have had some result luck as they couldn't complain if some of those games ended in a draw. So I am rather referring to the fact that they should try to finish off their opponents much earlier than that, which translates into more required efficiency with their chances.

At least, you should also be aware that not all of Real Madrid's main players have been able to play so far this season. So yes, it's natural that Real Madrid had to work even harder to get the win, even Real Madrid still had to work hard until the extra minute to get a goal like that. So yes, with this result then I said about, Real Madrid did not get full luck. Because anyway, if Real Madrid had full luck, then it would be enough for Real Madrid to play only their second-tier players but anyway, the reality is not the case. Because in fact, Real Madrid has a great effort and also a very good winning mentality to succeed in getting consecutive win so far this season.

Absolutely, when Vinicius Junior comes back they will be quite a bit stronger in their offense, I am aware of that. But since they had these close situations in La Liga so often and now also in the Champions League, that is why I brought up this topic that at some point they will be out of luck and instead of scoring that one goal in extra time, they won't score it and lose the two points. So far it has worked out for them.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: September 23, 2023, 07:35:13 AM
I honestly don't understand the criteria they have used to award these awards, but in my opinion it's time to retire Messi and Ronaldo from these awards and focus on other players like Mbappe and Haaland, the contributions Mbappe made to France are very visible. World Cup and at PSG, he is without a doubt a very talented player, but it seems that Messi will not be dethroned yet, and when I talk about dethroned I am referring to not putting him on that list. the guy has already won everything and now he's playing on a team without much relevance and yet the guy still appears on these lists. This way, new generation players won't be motivated

Just look at the fact that for more than 5 years, Ronaldo and Messi have monopolized these big prizes and the attention of the news channels, even if another player appears and wins something, not much attention is given, it was necessary for Messi and Ronaldo to go to lower teams quality for them to reduce the attention of sports news channels a little, now they also no longer appear on these individual award lists, the guys must retire and make way for new players. It's true that there won't be a competitive duo like Messi and Ronaldo anytime soon.

I see that Karin Benzema could also win an individual award, but the fact that he didn't play in the World Cup and Real Madrid didn't manage to win something must weigh heavily on him not winning, I also don't see Vinicus winning anything. That's why Messi and Haaland are the most likely winners

This is all true what you said, but I think we have a problem with the fine line here that should be drawn between performance and titles. If we overvalue the weight of titles for this award, Haaland will never win a European Championship and never win a World Cup, but that should not prevent him from winning this award as this doesn't say much about his individual strength and performance as a player. Then again it feels kind of normal to include titles and the World Cup is the biggest title one can win. But here is the problem: I really don't know what to think of Mbappe winning Ligue 1 with PSG. I agree that Mbappe is definitely one of the best three players in the world. For me there is no doubt, but it was also his choice to play some soccer in an inferior league with a massively financially ballooned PSG agains the rest of the country. I don't know, it is not easy.

Haaland would never be a wrong choice as he his down to earth, modest, very authentic and hard working and most important, incredibly successful. Messi is still the best in terms of precision and passing accuracy, understanding of the game dynamics, changing the game dynamics however he wishes, and smartly scoring. He doesn't use force, which I really like.

I also think that Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best midfielders ever to play this game.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: September 23, 2023, 07:11:14 AM
The reality is gambling is part of human society ever since humanity exists.
So the government can just contain it by legalizing its operations, and in so doing, get the tax from it.
Because if not, it will just continue to operate, just like you said via black market.
It may be resolving some problems created by the gambling itself, but we can't totally discard this industry.
We have to accept this industry and just look for the positive impact it can bring to the community.
Eradication of this is not possible. So one thing to do is to remind gamblers to gamble responsibly.

No! Turning a bind eye to the negative impact it has on society is stupid and generates countless of problems. What you said is literal equal to "we can't prevent people from drinking alcohol, so we just focus on the good stuff that alcohol does for the community". I say no! There are tons of treatment programs in terms of alcoholism and prevention thereof. The fact of the matter is that gambling as an excessive activity or even health issue is highly problematic and entails severe consequences for society as a whole. The difference between gambling and alcohol is that alcohol related issues can be calculated more easily in monetary terms. The consequences are very visible and people sometimes go into a hospital and demand treatment. Gambling, when people destroy their promising future, is much harder to detect and also to quantify. It's like the dopamine threshold for people to become happy is getting destroyed. Why can't the person who has to gamble to become happy and produce sufficient dopamine not just watch a movie in the cinema? It is because the kick isn't there. If the person does both, that's good, but if gambling turns into the only "hobby" someone has, that's already highly dangerous.

I haven't looked into any statistics, but I would assume that the number of successful African players in Europe is much higher these days than they around the year 2000. The scouting has developed a lot and there were also some limitations in the past that only so many players from outside of a country or Europe could play in a team I think. All these things aren't in place anymore and European clubs have long understood that scouting African players early pays off very well. But it could be even more as everybody knows that they have amazing talent available that needs the right promotion.
Seeing how football from African countries performed in the World Cup, it seems to be true because the more their players play in Europe which has leagues with better competition, the more their performance skills will improve.
And now quite a lot of African players have become core players in big European clubs, maybe they are not as famous as other players but their skills are at the same level. There are also Asian players who are key players at quite big clubs such as Takumi Minamino at Monaco and Son Heung-min at Tottenham Hotspur and many more at other clubs.
However, sometimes African players seem to have better skills than Asian players or maybe because their typical game is more interesting so they are preferred by clubs in Europe.

Yes correct, this is what I mean and it is a good development in my opinion. The Africans were a bit neglected because the scouting wasn't as pervasive and mobility wasn't as high 30 years ago. It gradually increased over the last three decades I think and these days everyone is fully aware that Africans can be outstanding players. They have enough examples, just take Liverpool when Mané and Salah formed a team during their peak time. That was amazing. Ivory Coast has a couple of times played very well at big tournaments and Ghana as well. It is good to see that it becomes more and more international and citizens of almost any country have a fair chance to make their way into professional soccer and be seen on big stages.

Arsenal have one of the best midfield in the premier league now, they have Odegard,Partey,Declan Rise,Fabio Vierra, and co,they are all players that controls the midfield no matter the opponent they face.If you watch the game against PSV,you will know that Arsenal are really very good now,and with Declan running up and down, winning tackles, opponent find it very difficult to stand the force.Arsenal's next game is Totthenham, which is north London Derby, and they are meeting Totteham when they are really inform, same as Totthenham too.
Son have already come out to say that it will really be a tough game, because the two sides are inform, and I believe Totthenham will want to do everything possible to win that match because Arsenal won them last season home and away.It will really be a tough and interesting game to watch, but I Still predict Arsenal to win by 2-1.

I have no clue how meaningful the game against PSV is supposed to be when in the next game they are up against Tottenham. How would Tottenham have played against PSV at home? I think a similar result would have been possible.

I would like to say here that I am quite sure Tottenham is a different level than PSV and will show more resistance and also more attacking strategies themselves. The 4-0 seemed to be an easy win and probably it was, but I don't expect the game against Tottenham to go the same way.

There is really no argument on "no finances" type of stuff, Argentina is one of the poorest nations in the entire world and they just won the world cup, so that means money isn't everything. It's all about raising talents, all those Argentina stars ended up growing back in Argentina, but they all went to Europe because they have better facilities to make them better. That's what Africans need, networking. If they can get good scouting, and then networking, they could find talented young kids, and then send them to Europe to get better.

Do you really think that a kid that grows up to be 30 years old and play all his life in Ghana or Nigeria or anywhere like that would be a superstar? You raise them at max until 17 there then send them to Europe.

A man may think of gambling as his entertainment when he feels bored at work. Here the gambler will find at least some human solace but it is expected to be a personal matter but indirectly contribute to the society to some extent. However, we know directly about some things such as when a casino is opened, employment will be created there, government institutions will get tax and various types of business can be created around that casino. These are directly related to the development of the society. There are many places in the world that people know only for the casino. So I think gambling has immense importance socially as well.

Usually the reason why gambling is legalized is not because the government thinks they are opening a goldmine and will make so much money. The reason is that if they don't legalize it, the black market for gambling opportunities will explode and spread like wildfire especially on the Internet. That's why some states legalize it and raise a certain amount of tax on the activities or winnings and profits made by the casino if they are registered correctly.

Really no government (maybe except for Las Vegas) thinks about casinos as valuable employers. The tax money that casinos pay is used to cure the problems that casinos create. It doesn't contribute to society in a net positive way.
