I think they should be an easy win for Bayern Munich. There is no reason for them to end up losing. If we look at the last 5 head to head matches between these two teams we will see that Bayern Munich has been the team to win 4 out of the matches and the other one was a draw. So I think Bayern Munich is going to go into this match being very confident. But at the same time, Dortmund should be very determined to win this match because of what happened in the last season. If that does not get the blood boiling for them, I don't know what will.
Head to head is good for determining who has been the better team for a certain period of time, but it is weak in giving you information about the status quo. Leaving this aside, I wonder how many head to head statistics there are that suggest that Bayern should not win a game against any of the opponents in the Bundesliga. When Bayern lost a match in early 2023 against Leverkusen, before that they also lost none of the 7 games before that and won 6 of them. It is really no good precursor to draw on for any predictions. |

The two red cards obtained by Darmstads made Munich more free to play. If you look at the 2 red cards it happened in the first minute and it made them even more devastated. If those 2 red cards hadn't happened, I think Darmstads wouldn't have happened 8 goals. But I'm happy to see Kane's Munich performance getting more integrated into the team. It seems they are starting to improve, and I think the Kane factor was one of the factors Munich were able to score a lot of goals earlier this season. I think it was the second red card in particular that made it hard against Bayern Munich. It is interesting to think about it, but I believe that a 9 players vs. 10 players game is exponentially harder than a 10 vs. 11 game. They were able to defend their goal until the halftime because they could still make use of the whole pitch pretty much, but covering the full space with only 9 players was game over. It was still shocking how many goals Bayern Munich scored in such a short amount of time. But I guess it was one of those days that Bayern Munich knows themselves they don't have that often. Instead of trying to defend the goal to keep the score as low as possible, Darmstadt fell apart and gave up. Ironicallyl, Bayern could have scored several more than 8 goals. |

Yes, the match ended up with a draw result. The match was very interesting, each of them could score 2 goals. In the first half, I guessed AC Milan will win the match, but Napoli players equalized the scores in the second half by scoring 2 goals. I think there will be more goals but no more goals until the end of the match. I assume both teams quite satisfied, they could get 1 point at least. It is better than they lost points at all.  Since it was a draw, Fiorentina and Atalanta have the opportunity to overtake Napoli position. But since Fiorentina will play against Lazio away, it won't be easy to get 3 points. Of course you guessed that AC Milan will win it after the first half because they had a 2 goal lead. But for AC Milan this means quite the setback as they have had a great couple of weeks without losing or any draws. Now losing the game against Juventus and giving away the 2 goal lead against Napoli reshapes their overall situation. They looked very solid and now there is quite some damage to that seemingly perfect picture from the last weeks. They are now last in the Champions League group and they lose their games against the strong Serie A teams. Two weeks ago I thought they might be stronger than this. They started well but could not continue well. When Giroud took a 2-0 lead in the first half with two great goals, I thought Milan would be very comfortable in the second half, but I was wrong. Napoli drew the draw in the second half with the great support of their fans. Napoli's 2 goals were also great. Politano and Raspadori scored goals that were candidates for the goal of the week. There was a lot of action in the game, but the second goal by Giroud could have been defended. I have watched the scene a couple of times and I wonder why the defender didn't attack with higher intensity. He didn't jump and try to defend the header and he didn't disturb Girould like he should have done. That wasn't a great defensive performance. The free kick scored by Napoli is tricky, but I think it was a mistake in the positioning of the wall. It is either the goalkeeper he should be standing further to the left or it is the wall that wasn't well positioned. |

One serious problem is that sacking one coach logically means you need to sign a new coach, but then thinking about this, who could that new coach be? I think this topic is more complex than it looks at first glance, because gambling itself can take place in many different forms. Online, offline in a casino or privately hosted events, which are very often deemed illegal. But I would say that there are probably more sophisticated ways to launder money than doing it with gambling as it doesn't fully solve the question of origin. If out of a sudden there is a million in the bank account, saying that the money comes from a lucky night in a casino may not be enough. There is most likely some plausibility check depending on the amounts of money that someone is turning over in a casino. |

Think about this, there is a penalty for a team and the player taking the penalty misses it. Would the conclusion be that if they didn't sell some striker months before, they would have won the game or the title or whatever. These if games don't work like that. Manchester United were just horrible in this derby game. I thought of betting on Manchester City to win but somehow I couldn't trust them completely. Because Manchester United can be unpredictable in home games against big teams in the league. Sometimes they lose hard but the other times they show a great performance.
But I must have done the opposite considering how poor they have been since the beginning of the season. There isn't the same Manchester United from the previous season now. They were desperate in this game and the final score could have been bigger than 3-0. Haaland was the man of the match with 2 goals and 1 assist in my opinion.
The big difference this season is that the other teams are not struggling as hard as last season. Manchester United was the beneficiary because so many other teams were underperforming, but now Tottenham is doing amazing and Liverpool is doing much better as well. I doubt that they will make it into the Champions League this season, but you know I thought Manchester City isn't in great shape either and tried it with a 2-2 draw and bam, City just grilled them. It is never a great idea to bet against Manchester City. But I did not expect that this game would be that one sided. I think Ten Hag is lucky because they were playing against Manchester City while this team was not in the good form, Manchester City in this season is far from the Manchester City we saw in the last season when they won the Champions League and that's maybe because of the players they left the team. Otherwise, Manchester City could even score more goals and get better results than this against Manchester United because of the current situation they have. But there is also a problem when you compare the same team with itself across different seasons. Many do that with Napoli as well and they now call Napoli bad, while this is not true. Even if those people are close enough to be considered "best friends", one still would never know the whole context of the story behind someone quitting hanging out with their best friends.
For example, let us assume you had a very good night at the casino with your best friends and you happened to hit a jackpot, using your own money, in a blink of an eye now you are worth several hundreds of thousands of Dollars (at the very least). Bayern game was definitely a shocking result for a league game but Leipzig shouldn't be gone missing, they had 6-0 win over Koln as well, that's a huge game too if you ask me. Definitely a big win by both teams. Sometimes these big clubs do show how much better they are than other teams, not all the time because you do not have it hitting everything all that well constantly, but at the same time I could say that it was clear to me that these teams were this much better in the end.
You just expect teams to slow down after like 4th goal or something, you do not see teams trying to attack even more and score even more, they try to rest a bit more, but Bayern didn't want to stop and they kept on attacking mercilessly and scored 8 goals.
To think that the game between Bayern Munich verses Darmstadt ended goalless in the first half is what made the final result of the game even more surprising to many football fans across the globe. After Joshua Kimmich was shown a red card in the opening 5 minutes of the game, I thought it was gonna things very difficult for the home club but Gjasula received his own red card in the 21st minute to bring the number of players from both teams to 10 men before another Darmstadt player Maglica also got another red card an that was the main reason Bayern Munich ran riot against Darmstadt. One of the major highlights of the game was when Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane scored from his own half. Great result to send a serious message to other German Bundesliga clubs that Bayern Munich is still the reigning champions. This is without a doubt one of the most spectacular games ever. I don't know if this has ever happened before, but scoring 8 goals in only one half, or to be more exact it was 38 minutes, is really no joy for Darmstadt, but definitely for the Bayern Munich fans  This is one goal in less than five minutes on average and you also have to deduct the time for celebrations. Oh my god, that must have been a pain in the ass for the Darmstadt players. It is horrible to lose a game like that, but in 38 minutes is unheard of to me. It is good to see that Leverkusen is winning their game as well, but I fear that Stuttgart may fall behind a little bit because it is impossible for them to replace Guirassy. |

De Gea is still free agent. I saw a source claiming that Manchester United might rethink of signing him back. However that source was The Sun so I don't believe anything they publish. Apart from that it is said he can even decide for an early retirement depending on his getting a satisfying offer from a team. I hope he doesn't get retired this early in his career. 32 isn't an old age for a goalkeeper. Especially for a great goalkeeper like him. Probably teams from Europe don't want to approach due to his high demand. Otherwise I don't know the reason. Maybe he would get an offer from Saudi Arabia or Qatar. De Gea remains adamant that Manchester United will not re-sign him. If United are in dire need of a goalkeeper, they will sign another goalkeeper but Manchester United will not sign De Gea again. You are most probably right, but I wouldn't take Barcelona winning all six games for granted. I doubt that a lot of people bet on a close game like the one now against Shakhtar Donetsk. I am sure that most people thought this is going to be an easy win with maybe a goal difference of 2 or 3 goals, but it wasn't and even more, Shakhtar was able to play very well against the ball and gave Barcelona a hard time to score.
Matches in UCL are no longer as easy as they used to be. Barcelona is a very good team, but Shakhtar Donetsk's effort deserves to be appreciated. They played great against Barcelona and were almost neck and neck. If they were a little lucky, maybe they could get 1 point in this match. We should also congratulate Xavi, he played very well. That is what I am talking about! This game is a weak performance by Barcelona most would say, but Shakhtar Donetsk put so much into this game that I myself was surprised big time. I thought this is probably going to be a high ball possession game for Barcelona with barely any shots for Shakhtar Donetsk Now leaving aside the fact that they could not really get their shots on target, as you said on a lucky day this is going to end in a draw. If you have almost equal ball possession in the Barcelona home stadium and also have shots, it's only a question of time until luck is with you. |

There is a big game between Inter and Roma in Guiseppe Meazza in a couple of days. Even though Roma have a really good form in their results I believe their job will be really difficult here. I really didn't like what I saw in the Roma - Monza game. Roma were really terrible and they barely scored the winner in the 90th minute.  Considering that I'm expecting to see a nice win by Inter in this game. Roma beat them here last season though but they were playing much better than this back then. This performance level isn't enough to get even one point from Inter. Although Inter Milan wasn't quite as stable over the last five games as they can be, they still have by far the best offense and also the best defense whereas Roma is known for having some severe struggles this season. What once used to be a big game in the past when these two teams were up against each other, I think in this one this season Inter one level too big to handle for Roma. Maybe there is a glimmer of hope as Roma has won the last three games, but I doubt it. It would be great for them after that bad start they had and perhaps they can get Inter Milan to tumble like they did when they lost against Sassulo at home. |
