I think now that Girona has fallen behind Real Madrid, they cannot catch up to them. Real Madrid are currently in good form and catching up to them is going to be very tough. They are going to have to beat Real Madrid in their Head to head match in February as well. Girona had that consistency keeping them in first place but that draw probably cost them the Championship of Spain.

I always loved an underdog run. But Real Madrid was too good for them. But if they can keep up the previous consistency and not drop points, they probably can come back. Barcelona and Atletico Madrid's situation aren't that good either, sitting at 3rd and 4th place respectively. I don't see them taking Girona's place. It kinda feels good to see a small team from La Liga actually achieving something this season.
By only being superior on goal difference, Girona still has a chance to overtake Real Madrid because the two teams can be said to be in the same condition, although doubts about Girona still exist and that is normal considering they are not a team that usually fights for the title.
The draw that Girona got against Betis was also the same result that Real Madrid got when facing Betis, so it can be said that Betis is indeed a strong team when playing at home.
However, the next match after the New Year holiday will be a match where Girona can face defeat because Atletico Madrid will see this match as an opportunity to get 3 points.

Some people here talk as if the last game is about to be played in a few days from now. Goal difference doesn't matter. If you want to, you can check out when it was the last time that the goal difference decided in La Liga who became the champion. I can't remember such an event. It is temporary. And just for anyone's information, in La Liga it would be the head to head comparison when two teams finish the season with the same number of points.

But it is still so early that all these discussions are fun to have, but they lead nowhere since in 4 weeks from now Real Madrid could be leading by 9 points in a worst case. If Girona continues to win their games, then it is going to be exciting.

The last time a player made it into the top three at the Ballon d'Or award was in 2017 when Neymar came third. Before that it was Neymar in 2015 and before that it was Kaka in 2007 coming first. Do you really think that right now the most best players in the world come from Brazil? We are talking about active players. This isn't the best metric to look at, but if we check the whole potential across one team, I think France would score the highest average in points per player. Maybe some other team, but I don't think it would be Brazil.
Winning Ballon d'Or is not an easy task because a player have to show evidence by improving in his performance in all rounds, and ensure to win major titles at both club and country level of football.  So tell him can these young generation achieve that when they're inconsistent in performance, they can do better in club and when it's time to deliver for country, they become unavailable. Brazil doesn't follow with the current status, rather we have France that rank up first, Kylian Mbappe who have been outstanding and consistent weigh back in 2018. Brazil have high quality players but these players doesn't ranked up to Ballon d'Or standard currently. They have Vinicius Júnior, Rodrygo and Neymar Jr who's the most versatile and vulnerable to longterm injuries.

I wouldn't trust for a second if I were the coach of Brazil that I could count on Neymar at the World Cup in 2026. He may be sitting in a wheelchair by then. His injury list is ridiculously long and it gets more and more severe. When he plays and when he is absolutely fit and focused, of course he is the biggest weapon next to Vinicius Junior that Brazil has. But I can only repeat that players can be genius, but when they are injured and can't play they are nothing for a team. He could go to the World Cup cheering for his team as a visitor, but probably not play. It has been for a long time now that Brazil couldn't live up to expectations.

Chelsea is an object lesson for a club that tries to overrun a strong league with money. In contrast to PSG where there are no other super rich clubs pumping money into the team as if there was no tomorrow, Chelsea had to learn that a billion is not enough to buy the Premier League title. They have also made some awkward decisions in general and I don't know whether any Premier League club in the history has spent so much money in such a short amount of time. They had a player fluctuation that was getting ridiculous. They were swapping faces as if they were shuffling cards.
Chelsea has quite big ambitions to restore the glory of the Abramovich era, but the current club owner does not have a strategy for rebuilding his team. Money can bring in any player they want but without strategy and calculation in developing the team, the money spent on bringing in players is like they were thrown into the trash. Pochettino is not a great coach, he often manages different clubs and ends up always being dismissed from his job, Chelsea has never learned from Manchester United's experience of frequently changing coaches.

The main problem Chelsea faced was not the players, but the coach who formulated the strategy in the game. They made a big mistake when they fired Tuchel, who was then replaced by Pochettino. In general, Pochettino has failed to manage Chelsea, the club must look for a great coach like Zidane, Xabi Alonso or another experienced coach who has presented prestigious trophies for the clubs he has managed.

That is what they underestimated, they need a full-fledged plan to turn that huge investment into success. Todd Boehly thought he can just buy the title. But this isn't possible in the Premier League when they are competing with teams like Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. One of the biggest issue they had for the last 2 years or so was the coach. They are now in a similar situation as Manchester United. A really good coach would not find it very tempting to take responsibility for a club that is in such a bad state. Now they try it with Pochettino, but he hasn't really achieved much besides winning some French trophies with PSG.

The offense of Napoli staggered as it was Roma coming down on them. Lukaku coming from suspension was instrumental in the success, he was a danger and required attention. Napoli was falling apart in the match when Victor Osimhen exchanged words with Mourinho and was given his second yellow card adding harm to the loss.

Osimehen just came up with an agreement and renewed his contract with Napoli, it should give an extra lift to the club. But it is the opposite. A loss to Roma and in the next match, Osimhen and Politano are unavailable. Napoli should be able to win over Monza and get the points they need, but without their strikers, this could be another disaster for the club already in trouble.

Having Lukaku back in the team and in the shape he is currently in is never bad of course, but the really decisive scenes in this game were the red cards. Those cards pulled the rug under Napoli's feet.

Lukaku got his goal, which helps him to quickly get back to normal and nobody cares whether he scored that against 9 Napoli players or 11 Napoli players. But for Napoli the tendency for the moment is bad and stopping it is hard.

But their averageness is getting cemented by all these super fails against weak teams or weaker teams, not to be disrespectful towards the Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chelsea to me are just victims to their own mentality, because they really step up against the big teams and then become an embarrassment when they play against the small teams. I see no reason why Chelsea should be losing games at this point, they have been able to pass the stage where they lost every game, now they need to sort out their mentality, get it to be stable and consistent, so they can win all games, big and small against all teams.

Chelsea is an object lesson for a club that tries to overrun a strong league with money. In contrast to PSG where there are no other super rich clubs pumping money into the team as if there was no tomorrow, Chelsea had to learn that a billion is not enough to buy the Premier League title. You have mentioned a few important aspects here when it comes to letting ten Hag go now. Zidane would never go to Manchester United. He isn't a developer. He wants the best team right off the bat and compete for the Champions League title. If he knows he can't do it with the team that's there, he won't go there, so he is out. Flick, good analysis and I agree, I think his performance with national team from Germany has revealed some issues about his approach as well although I have to say that the national team isn't the same as it was in 2014 in terms of the player material. Guardiola would do better, I am quite sure about that, but he wouldn't go there as there really is no incentive for him to do that.

But just let the mess continue and wait? As much as I agree that finding a suitable replacement seems to be impossible, letting it continue is also not an option. They have some tough times to walk through.

He would only want to manage a club that has already made and we'll built team, a team like Manchester City would be handled successfully if Pep Guardiola leaves but managing Manchester United would be difficult for him.

Hansi Flick would go through all these processes Erik Ten Hag is also going through. I would not use his performance with his national team to judge him because I can remember how he won the Champions League if not the treble with Bayern Munich few years ago.

Pep Guardiola? He would never do that! It's like saying Pep Guardiola should leave Barcelona for Real Madrid. That's something you'll never happening. So, to Manchester United? Knock it off!!!

This is some very interesting scenario that I would like to see become true - Zidane as the coach of a team that is not fully developed. But yes, he wouldn't do it. However, I think developing a team is what really makes a great coach. I never really knew what to think of Zidane. Guardiola and Klopp both introduced a very unique style to the game, Zidane didn't really do that and neither did Enrique. Mourinho once did it as well although I am not a fan of his style.

Hansi Flick actually won 6 titles in 8 months. Bundesliga, DFB Cup, Champions League, German Supercup, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. That was impressive of course. So I think as you said judging based on what was going on with the national team would not be appropriate. But I am not fully convinced that he is the right man for this. When he came to Bayern, he really didn't have a lot to lose, but only to win. His second season didn't go very well. But from the ones we mentioned here, Flick might be the closest match.

It's mind boggling how inconsistent Borussia Dortmund has become this year. Last year was terrible already and they crowned the whole mess when they threw away the title in the last moments of the season like in the most amateurish way I have seen. Hard to believe it was to see that some of the players wasting the title are earning double digit million figures on a yearly basis. I wish that there would be severe punishments to their salary if they don't deliver. After all, sports should be driven way more by performance based clauses. If a player knows that the 10 million will come no matter how he plays, I feel that something must be wrong when we are talking sports and how it makes people rich for playing soccer.
The Dortmund's recent struggles and the disappointment of last season's title race can be disheartening for fans who expect more. Your suggestion of incorporating more performance-based clauses in players' contracts is an interesting one. Many supporters share the sentiment that athletes, despite their high salaries, should be held accountable for their on-field performance. The idea of tying player compensation to achievements aligns with the concept of meritocracy in sports.

Implementing stricter salary structures with performance incentives could potentially motivate players to consistently give their best on the field. It may also act as a deterrent against complacency and lackluster efforts, especially in critical moments like the closing stages of a title race. But the dynamics of football contracts are complex, and many factors contribute to a player's performance. Injuries, tactical changes, and team dynamics can all play a role. Striking the right balance between fair compensation and incentivizing optimal performance is a delicate challenge.

I mean look at the sports that really require an incredible amount of work, blood, dedication, sacrifice and it goes on and on. If you are a sprinter or a high jumper in athletics, the punishment you get when you don't perform is devastating. When you sign your first huge contract in soccer and you degrade to an average player afterwards, you still earn enough money for the rest of your life. I think that is not fair. Sponsorships in athletics have become much better, but it is really only the top that earns a lot of money. In soccer it looks like a lot of these young dudes sign their first contract and immediately afterwards the first signs of carelessness arise. That should be changed.

Arsenal are most likely to end this year at the first position.

Serious it’s just kind of difficult to predict who is going to end the season at first position, we can’t just conclude yet, or make assumptions just because Arsenal is currently at the first position, there are still lots of matches to be played, and the points between all the clubs in top 5 are really close, so any decline in any club’s performance, then there position will be taken by another club easily. Seriously I can’t really conclude on any team that will be winning the league this season yet, but it’s going to be between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester city. But Manchester city performance has really dropped this season, let’s hope there performance is going to improve soon.

This is like reading the stars or some wrinkles on someone's hand. Nobody can tell yet where Arsenal will end up. I would be bold enough to say that they will not be relegated into the Championship. Wink But let's leave the jokes aside, the field at the top of the table is very close in terms of their performances and almost all relevant parameters. That is why trying to tell who will win is quite difficult at the moment.

On a different topic though there are some news. Manchester United has a new shareholder. "Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes deal to buy Manchester United 25% minority stake".

It is said that he wants to invest 300 million at first and more money is supposed to be invested throughout the future. I wonder what these news hold for ten Hag. I don't know whether Ratcliffe has ever said anything about him.

Barcelona had experienced a very tough season at that time. And Xavi was the coach who was able to make Barcelona rise from its downturn at that time, developing with very good progress at that time. Meanwhile, this season's position is a little different, because after all, Xavi lost several of his main players due to injury. And also Xavi's limitations in targeting the players he wants due to financial problems, that is also a big obstacle. So Barcelona definitely understands this. However, Xavi will definitely not just stay silent because his name is at stake in the world of football coaches.
Xavi can take advantage of the opportunity in the January transfer window to buy players who can help him in the second half of the season. They must immediately correct several existing weaknesses in the next transfer window because this season Barcelona must compete more strongly in the race for the title because Real Madrid and Girona are able to appear more consistently compared to Barcelona. Xavi has a harmonious relationship with Laporta so Xavi performance is fully supported by Reporta so we will see how Xavi can take advantage of the transfer market opportunities to bring in quality players.

Barcelona may need a younger striker because Lewandowski is getting older and he is starting to lose his goal scoring prowess. perhaps preparing earlier is better as the replacement striker can learn more from lewandowski before he becomes xavi first choice after lewandokwski ends his contract with barcelona. Lamine Yamal also performed well but he has not yet been proven to be consistent in scoring goals, so Barcelona really needs to look for another sticker in the winter transfer window.

But you described the characteristics of the required player profile very well. "They must immediately correct several existing weaknesses in the next transfer window". Those are you words. But what do you think how difficult it is to find players freely available on the market that can immediately correct all the issues of a club like Barcelona? If there are players out there that can do that, what's the chance that they are available because with that quality to fix issues quickly, they are probably bound to their clubs and are not allowed to leave or are needed and there is no point in leaving their club let alone get the approval.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 24, 2023, 10:58:52 PM
You know Pioli is an experienced manager who won them the Serie A after a lot of years. So he deserves another chance, right? I think he needs to be given the time to fix this squad for the season. They are in the Europa League right now out of the Champions League and they are actually looking comfortable to secure a top 3 position in the Champions League. So I would say they have nothing more to achieve this season. Pioli can be given the time to fix the team. I don't see a new manager joining and achieving more.
I think AC Milan management must act decisively to improve AC Milan performance in the second half of this season. There has been no change for AC milan in the two seasons after they won the Scudetto in the 2021/2022 season where they seemed to have great difficulty getting back into the ranks of the Scudetto-winning teams. Well, Pioli was given the opportunity in the match against Sassoulo at the end of this year where this match will be quite crucial for pioli because if he loses he will be fired. And if He wins it doesn't mean his position will be good enough because the issue of dismissal is getting more intense which is what the fans want.

Pioli failed to make AC milan stronger because in the transfer window of the past two seasons we have seen that many of the players they bought were completely unable to contribute significantly to AC Milan progress. So I might really agree if AC milan looks for a replacement for Pioli before the second half of the season starts. Conte is one of the people who is widely reported to be filling AC milan coaching chair if Pioli is fired because Conte is a coach full of experience in Serie A and it would be extraordinary if he could become AC Milan coach.

It's not trivial to find out what their biggest problems are. I think the good beginning this season could have disguised some of the bigger problems and if you look at Giroud, he has scored quite often in the first few games, but then his performance went down. I thought that he is not the perfect striker for AC Milan as they should more focus on pace and Giroud is not really the fastest player anymore. Having someone who understands where to be at the right time is great, but this seems to have stopped working for them. There is not enough variation in their attacking line despite having players like Leao and Pulisic, but as it was the same in Chelsea, Pulisic can't play on a constant level for several weeks in a row. That can harm the team's performance when some of the players can't perform all the time and now we can see the result of that.

Winning the last Premier League match against Chelsea 1-0, Wolverhampton managed to defeat its opponent in 2+ consecutive matches for the first time since the 1973-1975 period. Wolverhampton won the match played on April 8 this year, 1-0. In this match, Wolves played more effective football.
There were no goals in the first half of the match. In the 51st minute of the 2nd half, Mario Lemina, who once played football for Galatasaray, opened the goal curtain. The excitement peaked in the last minutes of the match. 90+3. Wloverhampton scored 2-0 in the minute. Three minutes after this goal, Chelsea scored the last goal of the match and the match ended with a score of 2-1.

Chelsea is slowly but surely entrenching themselves as a team that has finally arrived in the middle class of the Premier League. They have some exciting games like the ones against Manchester City and Liverpool, and they also didn't lose against Arsenal, but all these games were some weird draws. But their averageness is getting cemented by all these super fails against weak teams or weaker teams, not to be disrespectful towards the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Nkunku couldn't change much and this game was of extreme importance for Chelsea to not lose sight of any chances to finish this season with an acceptable result.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 24, 2023, 10:14:24 PM

If a club wants to compete with PSG on a fair level, any club would have to invest at least 300 - 400 million to buy new players. Given what the transfer prices are these days, that amount is probably still not enough. The PSG squad is so much more worse that it would be embarrassing if PSG ever fails to win the title. The difference between the clubs is so huge that money does indeed count here. I wouldn't say this if PSG was worth 100 million more because they have Mbappe, but the whole team is extremely far away from all of the other clubs. The Ligue 1 title is an obligation for them.

That is actually a good point about comparing PSG to other teams because I think PSG is a rich team they can buy any player or coach they want without any limit like the other teams while a team like Nice can't do that during the next transfer window the winter and this can make a huge gap between PSG and the other team.
As you said if a team wants to start competition with PSG they should invest too much money in their teams and they need rich owners like PSG have.

Yes the numbers have been shared here a short while ago about how much the value of the PSG squad is compared to all other teams and the gap between PSG and the rest was tremendous. That's why it would be more a shame to PSG if they don't win the title than a sensation for the team that was able to beat PSG. As I said, if any team had an injection of funds in the amount of close to half a billion, then I think we could see a shift of power in favor of the contender who is serious about the ambition to win Ligue 1, willing to join the competition on the financial level.

But one big difference that immediately comes to my mind could be the experience that both teams had in recent years in European cups. Liverpool is way ahead in that regard. That doesn't have to mean much, but it could as Leverkusen might realize they are onto something this season and then hopefully don't become shaky during their game. I would love to see both teams play against each other and play their best game. Then I am sure those games will be entertaining as hell.
The contrasting experiences of Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen in recent years in European competitions could potentially be a significant factor for them to receive an adge of favoritsm. Liverpool has enjoyed considerable success and experience in every level of football. This wealth of experience can bring a certain level of composure and confidence to Liverpool when facing tough opponents in crucial moments.

Bayer Leverkusen, Who is also a big team in its own right, may not have the same depth of recent experience in European competitions as Liverpool. This doesn't necessarily determine the outcome of a specific match or season. Teams can undergo transformations and discover new strengths, as Leverkusen might be doing this season. The prospect of both teams playing at their best is undoubtedly exciting for football fans. When two teams with different histories and strengths face each other, it often results in entertaining and unpredictable matches.

That's how I would have put it as well, but when I think about our analysis here, something comes to my mind that people often forget when we talk about teams that come out of nowhere and take competitions by storm, like Leverkusen is doing it in the Bundesliga. They have never been a nobody, but when you see where they were coming from from last season, this performance was not expected at all.

So I would add here that a team like Leverkusen can have an edge in the Europa League because they play with less pressure and they have never won such a competition. Look, Frankfurt won the Europa League when nobody thought they could make it into the quarterfinals. But they played amazing! I have this feeling that Bayer Leverkusen is full of players who haven't yet won anything and they have this burning desire to change that. And this inner fire can be decisive when they meet a team like Liverpool. Bayer Leverkusen perhaps runs the extra mile while Liverpool can't match that if Leverkusen raises the bar too high.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 24, 2023, 09:40:20 PM
I think the solution for Manchester United is to sack Erik Ten Hag. He isn't able to do anything this season. If he is sacked now, the new manager would get the chance to rebuild the team as they have nothing to achieve this season. They are out of the Champions League, they are in the 8th position right now and they have nothing to win this season from the leagues anymore.

They are constantly losing one match after another. I don't even know how Ten Hag got the manager of the month last month. If the new manager comes now, they can achieve better things in the next season. Erik Ten hag doesn't seem to be able to solve his problem right now which is very humiliating for a club as big as Manchester United.

Let's say you're correct and Manchester United show's Erik Ten Hag the exit letter, can you recommend who would be the suitable replacements for Erik Ten Hag that would have such a great first season and continue the same the following season. Because as far as I can remember, Not even Pep Guardiola had a great first season in the Premier League. And don't you dare call the name Zidane because he cannot manage youngins developing them into machines just like Xabi Alonso is doing.

I'd want to say Hansi Flick but not even his tactics been working for him in the National Team ( Germany ). Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp all faced hits like this but they wasn't sacked.
I have the feels that he's having internal affairs with Marcus Rashford for him to be having these poor games and he still comes out to defend him in public. Just like Jose Mourinho said, "Manchester United have those dead woods that cannot offer nothing for the club" they should all leave!!!!

You have mentioned a few important aspects here when it comes to letting ten Hag go now. Zidane would never go to Manchester United. He isn't a developer. Borrussia Dortmund are bottlers honestly, one would think that they have already won the league but it was just a game to see them to win and they couldn't. They should have ended Bayern Munich extending the lead last but Fvck the Bottlers! I can't put hundred percent trust in em during domestic league games no more because you'll end up being disappointed.

Excited with how Xabi Alonso and the lads ave come this far. Finishing the first half at the top is such a great thing. What I be hoping is that they would back the manager for one or two players because they'll be seeing themselves play more games in this second half anf the pressure that comes with it could lead to player's getting Injured. I don't want em to miss out on this. They should win if they continue this exact way.

It's mind boggling how inconsistent Borussia Dortmund has become this year. Al-Hilal is scary if you see how they are doing, how many goals they have scored and how little the number of goals is that they conceded.

Al-Nassr has to hope for Al-Hilal to run into big problems. There are 16 games to go for Al-Hilal and will they really lose several games out of those remaining games? If yes, then Al-Nassr has to be ready to go for it, but I doubt that they will win all of their remaining games.
Al Hilal is the most team in the Saudi Pro League this season, scoring the most goals and conceding the fewest goals, and if we look at the difference it is very striking, that Al Hilal has 11 more goals in terms of productivity than Al Nassr who is in second place and also 11 goals conceded less than the same team too, that's an extraordinary statistic, and with 16 matches still to be played it is very possible that in week 28 Al Hilal will have confirmed themselves as champions of the Saudi pro league this season after their domination for several seasons was broken by Al Ittihad and they became champions again with exceptional statistics.

In the next game Ronaldo will meet his old friend Benzema when Ittihad plays against Al-Nassr. It is interesting to see those two players meet in that game, but I think it is obvious who is still the better player there. Benzema isn't getting close to Ronaldo at all and I think this won't change this season or next season. Both stay until 2025 in the Saudi Professional League, is that correct? I wonder what's going to happen afterwards or if both will retire.

It could make a difference in the end if they don't use these little advantages they have had throughout the season. There was the draw against Arsenal and then last week a draw against Manchester United. And I remember one more draw against Luton Town, which was also more like a loss. These details can add up and cost them the title at the end of the season.
Jurgen Klopp is playing around I think. The overhyped Liverpool that have been nominated to win the EPL title this season doesn't seem to be strong any longer. I think Liverpool will decline in performance with time, mere watching their performance against the top clubs, they have failed to win any. Draw tie against Chelsea, draw tie against Manchester City, Loss to Tottenham Hotspur, draw tie against Manchester United and finally draw tie against Arsenal yesterday, this is definitely a stats an elite club that's contending for the title ought to win for the purpose to boosts their performance.

I can only guess that you are talking about a different team then? Maybe you are playing some computer manager game and it isn't going well for you?

Liverpool has some minor problems, but overall they are playing a good season. I don't understand why you would think that their performance will decline with time as I am expecting quite the opposite. They didn't win the game against Arsenal, but that's not because Liverpool is bad, but because Arsenal is strong. Look at Manchester City. The dominance seems broken for this season and they have their problems, too.

Their quick action to grab the best players from Bundesliga foes has always been a game-changer. Lewandowski was a free move from Dortmund, which I remember. What a score! As if Bayern weren't already strong enough, they're making the competition even weaker on purpose. Absolutely, that's a smart move. I think they're successful for more reasons than just getting the best players. It's almost uncanny how well Bayern knows when to purchase players. They intelligently spend their money instead of just throwing it around. Their strategic thought is what really sets them apart, even though they've built a financial powerhouse. Rich people aren't enough; how they spend their money is what matters

True words, but they are currently concerned that Saudi Arabia could further drive player prices and salaries, which would give them a hard time to keep up with the inflationary market. At the same time this market development would mean less time to raise your own talent.

What ultimately counts though are titles. Until now it looks all great and peaceful in regards to the Harry Kane transfer because he is scoring goals like nobody else before him, but all of that could turn into dust when they win no titles. They are out of the DFB Pokal, the Bundesliga could be tougher than usual due to Leverkusen and it would be bad if they can't get past the quarterfinal in the Champions League. Even if Kane scores goals like crazy, it would still not have paid off then.

Liverpool and Arsenal's draw does not change their position because Aston Villa also got a draw so it does not make a change to the position at the top of the standings, but it will probably narrow the gap in points with Manchester City even though the match against Brentford seems to be postponed, but I think if they succeed winning three points will be a close gap and the competition at the top of the standings will be even tighter.

Indeed, there is no change in the top standings but I mean, because this match is played at Liverpool's home, Liverpool should be able to take advantage and getting 3 points means Liverpool will rise to the top of the standings but here Arsenal can maintain their position by bringing one point. Liverpool have wasted opportunities in the last 2 matches with 2 draws that's lucky for Arsenal, right? if Liverpool wins these 2 matches then Arsenal will be 3 points behind but this is what happened just play a draw and the opportunity is gone.

In the next match Arsenal had another challenge against West Ham, even though Arsenal is playing at home but West Ham is on fire they could be a threat
Meanwhile, Liverpool faced an easier club Burley here Liverpool again has an opportunity to take over the standings can Liverpool do it?

It could make a difference in the end if they don't use these little advantages they have had throughout the season. There was the draw against Arsenal and then last week a draw against Manchester United. And I remember one more draw against Luton Town, which was also more like a loss. These details can add up and cost them the title at the end of the season.

I agree that PSG and Luis Enrique's Barcelona are not on the same playing field. With players like Xavi and Messi, that team was famous. Nevertheless, we shouldn't write off PSG too soon. Yes, especially after that defeat to Newcastle, their Champions League performance hasn't been great lately. It is somewhat unfair, though, to contrast their present performance with Enrique's Barcelona. When that was all over, Barcelona was unmatched. Certainly, Real Sociedad is a serious team, but I wouldn't place my bets on them just yet. The breadth of skill at PSG, in spite of their problems, is still capable of winning a match

Yes I am of the same opinion and when I give my guess, it is just a guess as the word says. However, I believe that PSG's dependency on Mbappe is too high and that means whenever another team is able to shut him down, PSG is in trouble. Now can they win one or two rounds in the Champions League? Definitely, and they can also win games when Mbappe doesn't score. But I am questioning whether that could work for the next seven games on the highest level against all the best teams. Maybe Dembele and Kolo Muani can improve their game with every challenge that's coming their way. I thought they would have one of the deadliest attacking lines in Europe, but they are still not there.
