Stopped working an hour or two ago.
Anybody have an idea what is the problem between them ?
If by "Stopped working" means it no longer can be selected from their UI, that is correct but temporary: What happened to the BTC-e option?
Down, making some quick changes. Should be back up within the hour. The BitInstant support thread is: - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.0

Ok sorry if this is a dumb question, but if I have an address I sent coins to, is there a way to tell how many total coins are in their wallet.dat?
If a subsequent transaction spending those funds also includes other inputs, you might be able to conclude that the recipient also has the funds from the other inputs as well. That is not guaranteed though as if the wallet is a shared (hosted) EWallet, it will combine inputs which may be funds received from numerous unrelated transactions.

If the BitCoins are offline, how could the BitCoin network know if they are destroyed, lost, or never to be used again? The bitcoin blockchain is essentially a ledger system. The ledger contains transactions that transfer funds from the address(es) on the left side (inputs) to the address(es) on the right side (outputs). From this ledger, the status (unspent balance) of every address can be determined. A Bitcoin address in a wallet has a corresponding private key. That private key is needed for spending any funds sent to that address. So if a private key is destroyed, lost or never used, that just means those coins sent to that address can never be spent. It happens. It isn't a problem ... except for the party whose coins were destroyed, lost or never to be used again.

I've used Coinbase and it's pretty simple. Once your bank account is confirmed, you can lock in a price immediately, even though it takes several days for the ACH to clear.
Yup, at just a 1% fee there is no way that is as inexpensive and easy. Since the price is locked in at the time you place the order, the delays until the ACH clears should be less of a problem ... unless you are needing to make the purchase for immediate spending. The $100 USD per-day limit will be increased to 100 BTC per-day after 30 days have passed since your first purchase and a few other steps are completed: - http://blog.coinbase.com/post/40233239772/you-can-now-buy-up-to-100-btc-per-day-with-a-verified

The Bit2Brit Team
Where did the website go ? Well, that Bit2Brit appears to either have been a scam attempt or, less likely, simply failed to launch.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem, by using the official Debian package:
You are getting InvalidChainFound? Log snippet please.

Feature request:
Ability for me to cause a new deposit address to be generated for my account.
Currently, the blockchain shows all my deposits to a single Bitcoin address for my wallet at LocalBitcoins.
The whole concept of there being a new Bitcoin address for each transaction is so that privacy is maximized. If I am restricted to a single Bitcoin address, then someone might figure out from a deposit transaction to LocalBitcoins which transaction was mine and then see how many coins I've deposited since I first created my LocalBitcoins account.

Found this article on Bloomberg, and made me think about the recent run up in bitcoin. Could it be that deep pockets are moving into alternate currencies? Has anyone else heard of the Better Than Cash Alliance? I thought that already existed, and it was called Bitcoin! I worry that the sheeple will use whatever their overlords tell them to use... From another thread: It took me just fifteen minutes of listening to Bill Gates on Charlie Rose to confirm that billionaires don't and won't like BItcoin.
Mr. Gates throws around a lot of "we did this" type of statements, and what he really means is "we used our power and influence to get governments to do this". I'm not saying the accomplishments were bad, but anything that lessen's a billionaire's influence will not be something the billionaires will support.

I haven't look for awhile. Anything new?
Are there any Bitcoin futures/options exchanges with enough liquidity to make them functional? Something with low enough transaction fees that would make hedging practical?
The volatility is what makes there be essentially so few methods to trade futures.

after a seller has funded the transaction; can they withdraw the funds?
Can the seller withdraw the funds, or the buyer? With LocalBitcoins, the word "reserved" could replace the term "funded". So a seller reserves funds for the transaction. The seller can cancel the transaction at any time though, and get the reserved funds back. Essentially a funded transaction simply proves that the wallet for the seller's account does have X bitcoins in it (and confirmed). To make the funds available to the buyer, the seller needs to release the funds. This can be done via SMS (using the release code given previously to the seller) or through the web interface. Once the funds are released, they appear in the buyer's wallet and are already confirmed so can be withdrawn immediately. If the buyer has internet access, the wallet can be monitored and managed via the web interface. If the buyer does not have internet access, then the seller provides the release code. The seller only would know the release code once the funds were truly released.

Am I being impatient with MTGox or not?
Maybe try to PM Natalie. She seems to able to come through where others don't (can't?): I have updated your ticket and sent you a message regarding the status of your account.

dunno if im just dumb, but I can see no UK options on Bitinstant They were beta testing a new online bank method, but then removed it. I'm not sure if they just had to remove it to rework something or if they no longer are planning on offering it.

It isn't cheap, but you can trade PaySafeCard through VirWoX. I don't remember if Mercabit.eu does that as well yet or if they suspended that method.

What i can do with gift certificate?
You can send it to me [as I'm paying for it]. So yes, I am looking for your price for you to pay 3,000 INR to Milap to purchase a 3,000 INR gift certificate. So I pay BTC some amount of BTCs to you. You pay for a 3,000 INR gift certificate (your cost is 3,000 INR) You receive a gift certificate e-code You deliver that e-code to me (encrypted with my GPG public key, preferably) I make the microloan under my account funded with the funds from the gift certificate. So I need to know what amount, in BTCs, you are asking to make the 3,000 INR payment. It can be credit card or Netbanking. [Update: Through a different offer posted elsewhere I've completed two of these INR-denominated Milaap gift card purchases now. Worked fantastically!]

Sorry but nothing of this i can send Lol!
Well, maybe you simply send information. A lot of bitcoiners in North America, Europe, and elsewhere are freezing their nards in the middle of winter. Maybe there is a vacation travel outfit in your area which would be interest to someone, where BTCs are sent to you and you pay BRLs to the travel operator (or you pay the reservation deposit and then simply convert the BTCs to BRL on the traveler's arrival).

- walletbit Bitcoin to Danish, SEPA or International. EUR, DKK, USD, CAD - bitpay Bitcoin to ?
With Mt. Gox you can get conversion on arrival of USDs to BTCs, or from BTCs to USDs because that exchange allows order sizes that exceed available funds. So when the funds arrive, they are automatically traded against the open, unfilled or partially filled order that is outstanding. Also, their merchant services tool has an "autosell" flag so that the funds are automatically converted to fiat, without having to mess with leaving an outstanding order.
