Ok, thanks!  Please post in here when it's fixed.

It's fixed! That was painful. Due to a change in the bittrex API the currency pairs wouldn't load anymore on OS X if we built leonArdo using Qt 5.5. Using the newest version of Qt resolved the issue.

Was trying the demo, and don't see any markets listed for Bittrex.  I tried both the demo and regular Bittrex account.  Is Bittrex currently supported?

Thanks!

Yes. Sorry about that, but there is an issue with Bittrex on OS X. We are looking into it.

1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Trading GUI/Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitfinex, BTC-e, ... on: November 18, 2016, 10:26:30 AM
For anyone out there looking for an automatic trading bot, please consider leonArdo! It comes with two strategies: a static ping pong bot and a dynamic mArgin maker bot that can adapt to the course. Plus you get historical data, orders (completed and active) visualised in the chart, the ability to drag and drop orders, indicators (MACD, Bollinger bands, EMA, SMA, VWAP etc.) and lots more features...

It's cost is fixed at just $89  Wink (today that means just 0.12BTC)

We think it's the best bitcoin trading terminal on the market, but please don't take our word for it.

Here are some people who also think leonArdo is pretty cool:

I'm reluctant to recommend Leonardo out of pure selfishness but realize I'd be doing a disservice to the developers.
Leonardo is the 4th or 5th auto trading platform(bot) I've used in crypto and is my absolute favorite.

Bluehorseshoe

I know the feeling, the developers have done an amazing job with it.
Once margin and arbitration are added to the mix, it will second to none Smiley

Great work guys, and would recommend it to anyone thinking of using trade bots.

leonArdo Paper Trading Terminal

--snip--

really nice. the source code of this program? is opensource or closedsource?
i ask this because i'm a little paranoid (i have windows)

Thanks.

It's closed source as we have to try to make a living!

But other than downloading historical data from our servers to make beautiful charts, leonArdo connects directly to the exchange itself. To protect our IP we only hold half of one of your 2 API keys in hashed format.

Sorry for the delay with the new release. It will of course be a free upgrade for all existing customers though!

The trading bot has proven to be quite effective over time.

Thanks!

sounds like a cool system... It would be helpful to provide some consistent data for the bot. I am sure it will win for some cases, I am more concerned how consistent it is.

You can test it out by downloading our free demo.

Gday,

Still loving your bot!  i have been getting quiet a few bots being suspended, eg. It will purchase, but not list a sell or vice a versa, is there anything i can do to minimize this ?
Also was wondering if you have thought of arbitration on the same markets between exchanges? This could be great. As prices between exchanges often vary considerably.
Another question is would it be possible to put the build no. on the update link ? so you can tell if you are useing the current version, instead of downloading and installing to see?

Love your work Smiley

Hey dan_and_shan,

Really glad you are loving leonArdo!

However, you shouldn't be having the issues you are. A bot is usually suspended when the network connection goes down or after a laptop is woken from sleep. For shorten network outages leonArdo recovers automatically, but for longer periods a bot will be placed in a suspended mode and will await manual re-start from the user.

If you notice strange behaviour not fitting the pattern I outlined above, which is normal, then please send us the logs for the affected pairs (logs are in the .leonArdo in your home directory) along with anything else that could help us e.g. screenshot & description.

Arbitrage is something that we have on our roadmap, but we are not currently working on it.

As soon as we release a new version the leonArdo login screen will let you know there is an available update. All you have to do is click on that link and you will be taken to the downloads page.

All the best,
Jonathan

Anyway, I'm ready to give free help. Project is really interesting.

Thanks a lot for the offer! If something suitable comes up I'll give you a shout!

hi there, im new in trading and especially in bot trading. Are already installed mechanics on the bot or do i have to write for it what to do

Hi there,

I think you just bought leonArdo so welcome and thanks for your confidence and support!

The best way to get started is to check out the tutorial videos on our website: http://www.marginsoftware.de/tutorial.html

You can set the main parameters of the bot by interacting with it directly in the chart!

All the best,
Jonathan

Hello leoNardo !

Any news about 3.0 launch ? Any changelog ?
What the informations about this "Great New Opportunity" if it can be shared ?

Need a developer ? I can give some spare time. My skills are about php / js / c# / api-rest.
I can also help for documentation / tutorials / localization anyway.

Cheers.

The release is delayed because of the opportunity I cannot discuss right now, except to say we are looking to raise investment.

Thanks for your offer. Right now we are not hiring, but that could change soon Smiley

All the best,
The leonArdo guys

Attemped to use the Demo and it would not login for some reason, then stated the key was not registered.. oh well.

The reason you couldn't log in is that it is a paper trading version of leonArdo!

You need to choose one of the demo markets and then you can check out all the features in leonArdo. Practice running our in-built automatic trading strategies etc.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

also trying to trade those small fractions of Zcash I mined since yesterday will always give you a "Invalid Range"!) which is so true in its own sense but too "smart" for a bot!

You get an invalid range if you do not have the minimum tradable amount which is set by the exchange itself - not leonArdo!

no, I can trade 0,005ZEC just fine on poloniex! It seems more like leonardo did not have enough data. Because when I rebooted my PC and tried to load the last session it crashed while "buffering data...".
Unfortunately I did not make a screenshot. It is loading backlog data from your server, is it? And I guess there is non!?

anyways, loading a new session fixed it!

Hmmm, ZEC wasn't in our data collection as it's new. Have added it now. There can be issues in the current version of leonArdo with new pairs not added. That will be fixed in the update that's coming - I promise! Thanks for checking out leonArdo!

I slowly get it! and I like it!)

one odd thing, off which I don't know if it meant to be is, on Windows 10 if I hit the Space Bar it stops the Bot! luckily with a prompt! is this "oups I did it again Quick-cancel™"? Tongue

Hmmm, I don't have Win 10, but I asked one of the guys to check it out.

I tried out the demo version. I kept it running overnight. But the next day morning I realised it crashed with a bunch of run time errors. How can it work or trade proper if it crashes in the middle of the night?

It happened every time.

Any ways to resolve this?

We have hundreds of customers who do not have this issue, so I am sure that we can get to the bottom of it.

Please send us the following to help:

1) Your system specs
2) Crash reports
3) leonArdo logs (found in the .leonArdo folder in your home directory)
4) Screenshots if available

You can send them to our email address: contact@marginsoftware.de and we will be happy to get you up and running.

Thanks for checking out leonArdo.

All the best,
Jonathan

Thanks Jonathan. Let me try out what you said. I hope the software offer will still be around by then. Smiley

leonArdo isn't going anywhere Smiley

Apologies to everyone waiting on the 3.0 release.

We have been delayed because of an investment opportunity. That has meant that all the last small bugs that needed ironing out were put on hold as we explore this great opportunity. We hope to get back to the release by the end of the week and it should follow shortly thereafter.

Thanks for your support and your patience.

Been running the demo before I set my real bot up...  Been stable for days now.  Interesting.

I am trying to understand how it works before i purchase.

Upon dragging the margin strategy to set lets say a 1% gain, does it means the system will auto try to assist you to gain a 1% profit by auto selling and buying? It will sell and buy until it hit a 1% profit?

Yes, leonArdo will show you the effective gain - the gain after trading fees are subtracted - and you can set up the bot and start it trading.

However, note that we have two bots. The static ping pong bot will simply buy and sell at the initial fixed prices you set them up with, whereas the mArgin maker bot is more dynamic. It adapts the buy and sell prices based on the amount of history you set it up to look at. You can tell it to always make a profit of 1.0% if you like, but it is also possible that it will make a higher profit if markets conditions allow it.

See my comment above as to why you might want to set a negative Min. Effective Gain.

All the best,
Jonathan
