I tried out the demo version. I kept it running overnight. But the next day morning I realised it crashed with a bunch of run time errors. How can it work or trade proper if it crashes in the middle of the night?

It happened every time.

Any ways to resolve this?

We have hundreds of customers who do not have this issue, so I am sure that we can get to the bottom of it.

Please send us the following to help:

1) Your system specs
2) Crash reports
3) leonArdo logs (found in the .leonArdo folder in your home directory)
4) Screenshots if available

You can send them to our email address: contact@marginsoftware.de and we will be happy to get you up and running.

Thanks for checking out leonArdo.

All the best,
Jonathan

Thanks for the demo. This is just what I was looking for!!!

I had some problems with the Mac version as it was placing orders after the computer screen came out of sleeping mode, the Mac itself is active, only the screen (iMac with OSX El Capitan).

Now on Windows 10 it works fine, I have it running for 12 hours now.

One (stupid? Smiley) question: Does the margin maker has a stop loss function build in the strategy? Will it sell and create a new buy order? Can you contol this with the "Min. Effective Gain" setting?

Hi Mosound,

We were in touch by mail, but maybe my answer is important to others here!

Sleep mode on the Mac using the demo seems to have some issues. We are looking into them.

The margin maker has no native stop loss function. We are introducing stop loss, trailing stop loss and other advanced order types on markets' whose API support those calls. We are reluctant to implement a leonArdo emulation of those order types as it will lead to a false sense of security. If for example the network goes down or leonArdo is closed, stop loss orders will not trigger as they are not on the exchange!

You can't control stop loss with the "Min. Effective Gain" setting, but it is useful to give you the flexibility to allow the mArgin maker bot continue trading when the course leaves it's trading area. Setting a minus percentage will allow the bot make a small loss in the hope that it continues to trade and make a profit. But you are in control! Play around with it on the demo first if you are unsure or the cautious type  Wink

All the best,
Jonathan

it is possible to use custom strategy using RSI, crossing averages for buying and selling automatically?

i use google translate.

I was wondering the same.  If I could set up a strategy based on signals, that would be the holy grail.

That's in the works. A strategy editor that allows you in a graphical way to add signals and conditional statements so that you can build your own individual strategies!

Sorry for the delay with the release. Just ironing out the last remaining issues...

Bitcoin trading volumes have seen exponential growth over the last 5 years. We generated this graph with data from 34 exchanges and it made us very happy Smiley

A little teaser for our 3.0 release. Check out leonArdo's visualization of a short position on Poloniex. We estimate the % gain or loss including lending fees, exchange fees, and the cost of buying or selling into the order book. In this case my short position is healthy in the green zone showing a gain of 2.89%.

I've got question about bot. Is there any function like this and how I can setup this? 'If numer of buy orders increase(set %) in a period of time(set time) buy a specific amount coins(how many btc)'

No. This is not available yet.

It will be in a future release.

Any approximate time of release this? I will buy bot when this will be available.

Giving an approximate time for this is just not possible now. In general we want to add a strategy editor, but this is a large piece of work which needs to be properly resourced.

I could say in 3 months time, but it could take 6 months or more depending on some other factors.

Sorry I cannot be more specific and thanks for your interest in leonArdo!

Loving the swings on XCP  Wink

A customer noticed an issue with the 1CR pair on poloniex. It stemmed from the digit at the start of the name and caused leonArdo to crash. The fix is in now Smiley

Just click on the "(Up to date!)" link in the leonArdo login screen to download the latest version.

Don't forget that leonArdo's Tools window allows you to configure the GUI to just how you like to have it.

So for example, if you want to view the order book and transactions at the same time, no problem Smiley

Just a question,

when you click on a completed order indicator on the chart,( locked ) appears, can you let me know what this is about, does it affect the strategy?

Again i love your product,

One thing that would be great is the accumulative totals of the asks and bids, then i would'nt need to log into the exchange at all Wink

i just seem to have an issue when viewing the trade data in the chart window,  the pop up summery wont stay put and continually flashes making it impossible to read. It is the same for tool tips, they display for half a second and flash, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Thank you, your bot has freed up my life again Cheesy

Thanks so much for the positive feedback!

The "locked" icon doesn't affect the strategy at all. Actually, it is mostly used to allow you precisely use leonArdo's ruler. You can attach (or lock) one end of the ruler with a completed order, or a candle for that matter, to enable a more precise measurement.

Cumulative totals are supported. Hover the price aligned depth chart and the cumulative total is shown below. Wait for a second or so and you will see an estimation of the amount in the other currency.

Hmmm, if you stop moving the mouse the summary still moves around? I just doubled checked it there and this seems stable. The same is true for the tooltips. If you want to move around in the chart and not see tooltips appearing and disappearing you can turn them off. To the side of the chart is a speech bubble icon that allows you to toggle this behaviour.

Let me know if that helps!

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Made some fantastic progress on implementing mArgin trading support for Poloniex. It looks beautiful on leonArdo Smiley

Can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it...

We expect to release support for margin trading (initially on poloniex) next week!

Awesome, really looking forward to this.

Once rolled out, I will most likely purchase your software.

P.S. if you need someone to help test, I will gladly be your guinea pig.  Wink

Thanks,
Jude

Thanks Smiley

i wonder for how long we can use free software? thank you

The demo version of leonArdo will always be free Smiley
What features makes the demo version to be different from the real version of this software, is it possible to make some trades with demo before upgrading?

The demo version simulates the trades, so it is 'paper trading' only.
After you buy leonArdo you can start placing orders on the exchanges.
If you have any other questions, just let us know.
