dave,

can you upgrade the resistors on the m board to 50 from 30?
that'd be great if that can be done and it will make them more future proof.

best thing for your customers is to future proof certain parts (or offer trade ins in future)

+1 EXTEND IPO

-1 DO NOT EXTEND IPO

We've been waiting here on the edge of our seats long enough. We want our shares! Grin

Technical glitches are going to make this worse than the Facebook IPO.

It's only fair to extend it so that it actually goes as planned and no one gets screwed over due to technical problems beyond their control.

you should be thankful for NOT getting facebook @ IPO ! Wink
1031  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: July 31, 2013, 08:01:20 PM
The IPO should be extended due to these glitches.

I too have way more than 6 confirmations yet no money showing up in my wallet.

Its no longer true that everyone will get a piece. All the people how have 0 in their wallet due to this glitch won't be able to participate at all.

There is no harm in adding another 4 hours on to the trade deadline in the meantime until this glitch is worked out and it will make a lot of people happy.

no matter what they do - someone will always be unhappy.

Damn, Transfer to BTC-TC takes forever.

6 confirms. so i'd guess 45 minutes

edit- o wow 38 minutes between the last 2 blocks!
1034  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: July 31, 2013, 06:36:30 AM
Interesting to see this play out - what happens if more bids are placed then shares when the IPO occurs?  Are the shares divided evenly based on order size, or is it first-come first serve (Which would defeat the purpose of the lock, as far as I can tell)

First in, first out.

There are multiple orders sitting on 0.001 (here. Those whose orders are placed > 0.001 will pay the additional coins, when the ask wall is placed.

Currently BTC-TC's asset have a combined market cap of ~170k Bitcoin and a daily average volumen of 3700 Bitcoin which peaked at nearly 9.5k a few days before. I don't expect this IPO filled within minutes, but nevertheless in a short timeframe. The fill rate isn't steady and fastens at the end.

If you want to be very sure to get your shares, place an order on 0.001.

Good luck, LABCOIN! I'm following. Wink

Edit:

burnside should limit how many shares a person can purchase (although that can be manipulated by opening up several accounts)
it appears people just want to pick up shares assuming price will go up and dump as soon as it does.

people putting over the ipo price hoping those orders will get filled first and that the price bump will be significant. the things people do to make a buck

No, I'm against any regulation. And it would be crazy if you miss to get shares in an 7000 Bitcoin IPO, because single entitites purchased "too much". The price won't change because of those orders which are higher than the IPO price.

Relax please. Wink

there's a reason why regulations exist and some of it actually makes sense (not all) - read about why regulations were enacted after the Great Depression. too simple to float around the words anti-regulation.

will you remain private or "ipo" to bitcoiners

I don't think any US company would ever do an IPO on one of the bitcoin stock exchanges, it's way to legally risky. Maybe in China it's a different story.

it's happened recently
AND it's ALMOST (90%+) legal now (JOBS ACT that's taking forever to implement)
general solicitation is legal as of now from what i understand and sec will only be coming after actual cases of fraud.
again, they would probably need to speak to a general counsel regarding this but i'm pretty sure if it's not almost legal it will be soon
they can solicit bitcoins for shares of company i'm pretty sure - not sure about as far as listing them on exchanges. hmm

anyways, just threw it out there

Our site is up... minus the product offerings.

More to come...

1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Guess the Bitcoin rate end of July on: July 30, 2013, 09:48:34 PM
Between 50-99 USD. The long term trend is upward, so buy as much as you can while they're still cheap Grin

I hope the long term trend is stable.
Only ppl who hope to earn easy buck would made such a statement.

Bitcoin should be be used what it was made for not to repeat the mistakes the we making with banks.

Im surprised to see that most ppl around Bitcoin are more focused on pump and dump instead of using it in everyday transactions.

nothing in the world is stable. + at these prices one would have to be naive that it can be stable. it should approach "stability" the more amount of people have it. by then market cap would likely be 1 trillion
